Default Music Therapy Room

Professor Myers has converted one of the greenhouses into a room devoted to the care and focus of sick or ailing plants. Not only can you test your wits in here to care for a wilting shrub or two, but you can also play any instruments you want in this room. Professor Myers is a firm believer in music therapy not only for people, but for plants, too. He himself is often seen playing his banjo in here when he has a spare moment, humming to himself as he relaxes and soothes the plants around him with his melodies.

Chill out and relax.

This room is warm, bathed in sunlight when it's sunny out, and smells like a typical greenhouse. It's the perfect place to get some private practice in, too, if you play an instrument. No outside food or drink allowed in the greenhouse without permission from Professor Myers, except for water, of course. Anyone is allowed in here to meditate, relax, and look after plants.

It wasn't like Mason came here for the plants, far from it. She still remembered that stupid over-sized eggplant that had attacked her last year, granted she was the one that had poked it. . . but still.

The Music-Room was way too crowded and the dorm wasn't really an option. Outdoors wasn't a good idea, since it was starting to get chilly and she didn't want frozen fingers. Mason had heard about this place recently, Professor Myers had dedicated an entire greenhouse to sick plants (blegh) and music. The latter was why she was here, cello-case on her back this time (cause no more magic+instruments), an eager smile on her lips.

There didn't seem to be any stools around, so Mason was going to have to extend the end-pin and do this performance whilst standing. It wasn't something that her extreme laziness was keen on, but meh.

She had brought sheet-music this time as well, but again there wasn't a stand. . .Merlin. "Duh, Mason!" her hand flew to her robe-pocket and after fishing around for a bit, she drew out the Yew, "You're a witch!" She pointed the wand at the sheet-music that she had dumped onto the ground, "Wingardium Leviosa!"

The papers shot into the air, disorganized and hovering a little too high. -____- Whatever, she honestly didn't even care anymore. Mason raised her wand again, pointing it to the music of one particular song. The plants were hurt after all, so it would be perfect if she played the Muggle-song, Stitches, to them.

When the sheet-music was in place, she pocketed her wand and took up her bow. Mason positioned herself behind the cello, fingers already pressing the notes that stood on the paper and raised the rosined bow to the strings. . .

Dora loved music... she just wasn't great at playing it... or singing it. But she tried her hardest, okay. Her piano lessons were coming along better than they had previously, thanks in large part to Bastien telling her she needed to keep practicing. It was soothing as well. Truly it was.

And that was what had led her to the therapy room. That and the fact that she had just left from visiting her fanged Geranium, Lola, so she was nearby anyway. Heh. So here she was and there was... a girl with a cello? Well this was interesting. Slipping in quietly, Dora stood unobtrusively to the side so she could watch and listen. Heh.

SPOILER!!: Dora

Her fingers glided over the board, her eyes now shut in absolute concentration. Her bow caught the strings at ever turn, producing the perfect sounds. Her fingertips were raw from the strings, since they weren't nearly as used to the playing as they always had been. But it was okay, they just had to learn again.

Mason was nearing the end of the song, fingers still pressing the notes, when she caught the C-string to low. The note screeched out, filling the air with a sound that was probably as horrible as Banshee-wail. Her eyes shot open at that, and she flinched at said awfulness. UGGGHHHHH. She gave a HUGE sigh and stroked the cello's neck. She was so out of practice. . .

"I think that's enough for today." Yeah, you can say that again.

She made a grab for the still-levitating sheet-music, pulling it down from the air. When she got them down, however, she saw the girl. She was standing at the side of the room and she had obviously heard that AWFUL screech. Merlin, wasn't this embarrassing? She didn't even know the girl. . . -____-

"Erm, hi." Please ignore my uber red-face, thank you.
