Was it Miranda or was Professor Primeaux a bit stuck on himself and all proper and such... In other words he seemed like a real stick in the mud , but... No matter he was to be her teacher so she may as well get used to his pompus aire now. " Well, Sir, I'm in fact quite aware of the benefits of music'a impact on the mind. Allowing it to become more receptive to new and extrainious details.... " Her professor would soon learn that he wasn't the only one who knew things... She did just tell him she was bookworm right?" I read that in a muggle medical journal a few months ago, actually." She explained because the look on his face was Priceless! " Well,m have a good day, Sir. Oh... And I've met Benton.. I helped him try to find his invisible frisbee. He's an interesting boy. Thanks again for the Offer. I do hope to see you soon , Sir. But I really must be going now... A few chapters of textbooks await." And with that she started to turn and leave the Musicroom.

"Most everything I've learned was taught to me by my father." That was before she had come here anyhow. Her father had only been able to teach her so much and prepare her so far ahead. The rest had all been up to her. "He does attend here. His name is J.J. Starr and he'll be graduation this term." She was still getting used to the whole having four older siblings thing so not many people knew one of her brothers was also in the school. The smile on the Professors face told her just how much he cared for his children. "That's really cool but sadly I don't think I know whom." She might just have to look into that or even ask J.J. since he liked Quidditch.

Hady had always known what she wanted to do. It was only attending Hogwarts and being around even more creatures that really fueled the fire inside her to push forward with it. "Mostly in general I want to help all creatures but Hippogriffs are important as well as dragons." It was all Adi right there. The questions about where she planned to go for Uni was unexpected and she really had no idea. "I haven't given it fully consideration but chances are I'll be taking courses for Healing. The band is something I love but it's second in ranking to healing." Sorry girls.

A very much knowing smile was given. "Chances are this is true but one never can be fully sure how things will end up. If he likes creatures that much he could probably speak with Professor Draper, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if he helped out in the stables with the creatures." She should know she was there enough herself.


OOC: J.J. Starr's roleplayer isn't currently playing any Hogwarts students but I'm sure Julien would know him from lessons at least XD

Cornelius nodded quickly, hardcore agreeing with her statement. "It is." Especially when those friends were Katerina Delgado. But she kicked his butt in the end and he did feel proud of her so it wasn't that bad. Kind of. Sort of. Okay, no. It was bad. He didn't like losing.

Family issues. Ugh. How he hated those. Luckily his mum didn't ever involve him though, he did like to eavesdrop here and there to get the details. Details were important when it came to teasing overly sensitive older sisters.

"I hope it all gets sorted out," he said, rubbing his back where he had bumped into the drums. Awww, how endearing that was of Azura. Being the youngest in four older sisters (babe Mallory didn't count 'cause Cornelius protected her) he was sometimes overlooked when it came to small accidents.

He faked a pained expression. "Think I broke my back," he groaned dramatically as he set a hand on his back. "And this is why I need eyes at the back of my head."

Azura sighed inwardly as Cornelius spoke.. It wasn't something that would ever REALLY get worked out. It was just something she would have to get over.. Only time would heal it. At least that was what she was told.. "I hope it gets sorted out as well. We shall see." She said with a nod as she moved over to him to make sure he was okay..

She looked at his pained expression as he spoke and put his hand on his back. "Well, unless it's a very small break, you wouldn't be walking if you broke your back." She said softly as she tried to suppress a smile.. "My mom was a healer.. so I should know about these things.." She gently put a hand on his back and slowly felt around..

"Maybe bruised.. but no break." She said as she pulled her hand away.. "Mmmm, eyes in the back of your head would be useful wouldn't it?"

He really hoped it did. Cornelius would even lend Azura his mum's lawyers or healers or whatever she needed, he was a good friend like that. You know, most times when he wasn't teasing.

Cornelius was really trying to be the pained victim here but he couldn't contain the smile that crept into his lips, showing his dimples. She saw right through his little game. Ravenclaws. And her hand was touching his back. It felt weird and tickly. The boy slightly squirmed and let out a short laughter. "Ah shucks, you caught me." Smarty-pants Azura.

"Probably not even a bruise. I'm strong like that, y'know?" And if she didn't, she'd know now. Knowing him, he'll probably end up with a tiny little bruise because he bruised like a peach. Yay--not. He nodded vigorously. "It would. I'd also be able to read two books at the same time and finish homework faster." Win, win situation if you asked him.

Azura bit her lip a little as she watched Cornelius try not to smile, but she caught a flash of his dimple and she knew he was faking it. She tried not to laugh as he squirmed away from her touch and she instantly let her hand drop. "Well, If my mom hadn't been a healer, I might have fallen for it." She said as she stuck her tongue out at him for a moment.

It felt nice to be silly and playful for a moment.

Light in her dark world.

"Well that's good!! I bruise so easily, I could bump lightly into a wall and it would like like I got hit by a ball or something!" She pulled up the sleeve to her robe and showed him a bruise she had on her forearm.. "I bumped into a desk last week in Muggle Studies, and that's what happened." She said as she shook her head at little.

"Ohh, I would love to finish homework faster! That would be awesome! Ravenclaw or not.. homework was hard sometimes.. and time consuming.

Her mum was a healer? No wonder Azura had caught him. He snapped his fingers and clucked his tongue. "Well darn. No way of tricking you--" Oh no she didn't just stick her tongue out at him. "Oi, oi, oi!" He faked offence and stuck his tongue out back at her.

Take that Miss Azura Kennedy!

And she bruised easily? No wonder they were friends. His eyes grew wide as she showed him her forearm. "Looks as if you got into a fight and won," he teased, reaching and tracing an O gently around her bruise. "Poor desk." Must have suffered at her hands. Or should he say forearm? LOL....

That doesn't even make sense.

"Wouldn't that be the life?!" he asked enthusiastically just at the thought. "Would be even better if we didn't get any homework at all, but y'know, life and professors." And adults. Stay in school, kids. Load of dung.

Azura giggled softly and shook her head.. "Nope! At least not when it comes to being sick or breaking things! My mom was the best healer ever." Her voice held such pride and yet sadness. She loved her mother so much. Her thoughts were pulled from her sad thoughts though as Cornelius stuck out his tongue at her and she giggled a little..

"Why I do declare!" She said as she put her hand on her heart and pretended to be wounded.. But really she was giggling at the whole thing..

She giggled more as he spoke.. "Oh yeah, I totally showed that desk who was boss! You get in my way.. you are toast!" Another giggle left her lips as she looked up at the Slytherin boy.

"Ahh yes.. Life, the universe and everything." She said with a sigh, "I actually sort of like school and classes, just maybe not the homework." She admitted.

He might have been eying this one. He enjoyed students being well balanced and knowing things before they got to school, but some of them thought they knew everything and those were the hardest to teach. They just assumed because they read it in a book or watched their parents that they to would be great at it, which was never truly the case. So he just let her talk and nodded a few times. "Well then I expect you will use this room wisely. It is here for many reasons not just for students to practice instruments." A room like this could be very important to many talents and learning styles.

Another brow raised in what she was reading. He couldn't see an eleven year old being able to comprehend the majority of things in a medical journal so again he just nodded and let her talk. "Invisible frisbee?" He seemed to be playing with charms on objects. This amused Julien and put him on edge at the same time. He might have to have a talk with his nephew. "Have a good day Miranda."


That was great to hear, he really did enjoy that parents were still teaching their children things. "Oh yes, Master Starr." Julien of course knew the students that he taught last term and this. So he nodded it was nice to know who was related even if it was by marriage. So many step kids and marriage relationshiops around the school at times Professors couldn't keep track. Connections were always a good thing for styles and behaviors.

" That is wonderful that you know already. You will do well with knowing what you want to do." Knowing was the hardest part. "As long as you are honest with the rest of the band, then there shouldn't be an issue with following your dreams and enjoying the band as well." If the band did go somewhere then she would probably have to decide then, but for now why not have her fun both ways.

"I will have to send him that way. Maybe you will see him there a time or two." His nephew was an interesting one, but he was a good kid.

Hady gave a firm yet gentle nod of her head. She had figured that the chances were quite high that her stepbrother would be known. Gosh that still sounded so weird to her! She still wasn't entirely used to having siblings and so many of them at that. It was a large adjustment but one she was coping with fairly well.

To say she knew was an understate in her eyes. Being a Healer had been her passion since being a small child. It was more like her calling then anything else now. "It's all I've ever dreamed about." Being honest with the band was something she fully agreed with and was glad that all the girls were honest with each other. "I have been. They all know I went for an internship this past summer and how much I want to be a Healer."

A smile tugged at her lips at this. Meeting up with a fellow creature lover was always nice. "Maybe I will." Maybe she'd teach him something or he would teach her. There was always something more to learn in life.

Cornelius has been so used to being confronted by girl's emotions and expressions because his sisters and Rosie were so open about it. They weren't hesitant of showing whether they were happy or angry, or if it was that time of the month. If they felt something everyone HAD to know. So he was just learning to figure out girls that weren't them, in return not exactly catching Azura's sad tone over the pride in her voice when she mentioned her mum. "Is she retired?" Cornelius asked curiously. Azura had said 'was' and his question just slipped out innocently.

Azura was fun. Cornelius liked hanging around fun people, especially when they made him laugh like the Ravenclaw girl was doing right now.

"Toast?!" He gasped exaggeratedly, smacking his hand to his cheek as his jaw fell open. "I'll make sure to not get on your bad side." That moment when you think a girl is super innocent and might need a hero but they're actually tough as nails.

He nodded his head, his curls bouncing every which way. "All of that, yep." Could they just get a break. They were only 12! "I don't mind school, like...I want to learn but same, homework sucks nuggets." As if they didn't do enough in class.

Was she retired? Azura bit her lip a little before nodding slightly. "Something like that." The last thing she wanted to do was put a damper on her conversation with Cornelius! She was having fun and she really didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her.. Surely he would forgive her later if he found out what happened.. Right?

Azura pushed away her sadness at The Slytherin boys expression and she giggled at him as she nodded. "Mmmm, Toast!" She said as she tried to make her face a mask of seriousness.. however the smile tugging at her lips was making that very hard to do! "Please.. I couldn't hurt a fly.." She said with a grin.. "Unless i was dueling it." She added as she giggled at him. She didn't even think she HAD a bad side!

"Yessss it doess! Especially when you are a Ravenclaw! Everyone's in the common room, studying hard and doing homework.. you look like a slacker if you aren't doing it!" Yup.. Homework by peer pressure..

That was good that they were aware of her priorities. It would not be good if they were all thinking they were all in this for the long hall and one pulled out for a career along the way. THough he assumed they all had other career choices and this was just a fun little thing to do now. "Very smart thing to be open and honest with them. Where was your internship at this past summer?" An internship really caught his attention. He remembered doing a few of those when he was younger.

"I'm assuming your owls were well?" He knew her charms one was, which she needed for healing, but he could ask about the others. "Never to early to start looking at things for NEWTS. You will need Charms for sure and Herbology." Potions was another big one.

Good, good she would meet up with Benton. He liked to know that his nephews had good influences around them. Hady seemed very respectful and well mannered so he knew she would be good for Benton, especially since he had the same likes with it came to the creatures. Thank you, I will send him your way soon."

She was always honest. With everything. No matter how much pain and sorrow it caused. Most of the time that pain and sorrow fell upon herself but she would much rather it be that way anyhow. As for being honest with the band they knew of her plans. It wasn't like she was the only one either. Ilia had dreams of going into the same field she was herself. "Ireland. It was a rescue reserve." One she hadn't wanted to come home from and given the chance she most likely wouldn't have. School was a thing however and so was her family so here she was.

"Yes Sir," she replied with a nod of her head. Her OWLs were quite well minus a grade that didn't fully matter as it wasn't needed in her career choice. The girl smiled slightly. "Of course not. I've been taking detailed notes in all my lessons still, I'll be alright." Come next year she would be in over her head again with studying but come out on the other side once she was done. It was all in the plan.

Hady smiled nodding her head. "You're welcome." Meeting the boy couldn't hurt at all. Plus she was positive she knew who he was anyhow even if not directly she had seen him numerous times around the school and in lessons.

Tenacius zoomed around on his cruiser, looking for places where he think needs a bit of sprucing up. He still couldn’t believe how the prim-and-proper Primeaux is actually encouraging them to vandalize the school. But hey he aint gonna be knockin an opportunity when it waltzes through the classroom door eh?

He zoomed past the Music Classroom and screeched to a halt. Waitaminute-- he's got a brilliant idea! The Curly Top Gryffindor looped back round and hovered into the classroom-- aww yeah that post by the windows would do nicely!

He swished out his wand and started to get to work, uttering the spells as he went along "Figura oblong! Figura strips! Figura circle!" the air rang with his spells and sounds of magic doing its work. "Coloravia RED!" lots of this "Coloravia White!" And maybe one more? But it needs delicate touch. He uttered the coloring spell again but this time onto his hand, and a splotch of black paint pooled around it. There goes the nose, the eyes, the ears and a few more details here and there.

He steps back and looks at his handy work, that megawatt smile starting to pinch the corner of his lips. "Very not bad..." he uttered. And finally one last step-- "Animatae!"

And there be the World's Famous Hound playing and dancing to the beat of the wonderful tunes of this room.

A creature reserve in Ireland that sounded fascinating. "Well I bet you were able to get quite a bit of hands on experiences. That will help you so much. Books are great, but there is nothing more educational then hands on." Hence why the challenge was so important to him this year. "I haven't been to Ireland in sometime. Very nice place though." He loved the country side. Maybe Lili and he could take a trip sometime soon.

"Studying is a very good thing. You will go far Hady with the hard you put in." He could see how hard she worked in his class so he just knew she would do well. Getting up from his seat he had been there long enough and Hady probably wanted to practice. "I will leave you to the room, I should be headed back to my office."

Gathering his things he gave the child one last look, "Good luck with your band and your studies."

Hadleigh laughed softly in reply. "I was Sir. Being as I'm unable to preform any types of magic outside of school since I'm still underage, it was ALL hands on experience." Which was honestly even better for her because sometimes it was just best to get right on in there and do something without the effects of magic. It was better for bonding and trusting purposes most of the time as well. "It really is lovely there. I enjoy it there a lot." For many reasons other then just the beauty of the place.

Life was all about hard work if you wanted to go places. "Thank you Professor," she smiled nodding her head. It really paid off when the Professors noticed how much time was put into studying as hard as she did. With another smile and nod of her head she watched the older man rise from his seat. "Thanks again Sir, I'll see you in class." Watching him leave the room she moved from where she had been standing and took a seat on the stool set in front of the drums. It was time to get some practicing in before the night was over.

While wandering the castle’s hallways Bec stumbled open yet another room she wasn’t familiar with. She knew that this was the fifth floor which held the Ancient Runes classroom , a class she did not take. So finding a music room up here was pretty odd to her. Wasn’t that more a Muggle studies thing?

Not that that mattered of course because everyone liked music! Even those who say they don’t. They were just big fat liars in her opinion. She wasn’t a talented student but she was interested enough to walk over to the drum kit and sat on the stool behind it.

Should she?..... could she?.... hit the drums? Or not? Was this place open to students or was this a private practise room? Rebecca shrugged her shoulders, thinking that she could pretend to be ignorant and not knowing if she wasn’t supposed to be in here. She then grabbed the two drum sticks and SMASHED on the drum.

BA DUM TSS~~~!

Miranda was walking in the hallway outside the music room when she heard a funny beating on the drums inside. She poked her head around the corner to see a girl about her age. Only the girl was from Slytherin House.... Randa had yet to meet and maybe befriend one of the slithery students. So, she rounded her way into the doorway and smiled warmly at the other girl. Afterall just because she was a slytherin didn't mean she wasn't nice , right?
So, walking across the room she introduced herself and grabbed one of the acoustic guitars and sat on a stool.
" Hi there... I'm Miranda.... Do you play for real? " she said kindly.

Really, that was all she could play on the drums. A simple …BA DUM TSSS at least had a rhythm. If she started to play something different she would just smash the drums and see how it goes. Which, was something she was in the mood for right now. Rebecca looked around to see if anyone was watching, lifted her arms high above the head and ticked the sticks together three times . But just as she was about to hit the drum she stopped when she heard movement at the door.

Looking in that direction, Bec saw a student who looked to be around her own age standing there. She waved her inside and watched her grab one of the acoustic guitars and sat on a stool. “I’m Bec” she smiled as she looked at the girl named Miranda. Looking down at the drum, Rebecca shrugged her shoulders. “Not really, but what’s so hard about hitting a drum right?” And without warning she lifted the sticks in the air and hit the drums with no rhythm in mind at all. In other words, she was awful but at least she was having fun.

When she stopped, the Gryffindor pointed at the guitar that she was holding. “You look like you know how to play that, do you?”

" Naw... I wish I could though... I've been trying to teach myself... But IO haven't gotten anything down yet." Randa giggled. So... Gryffindor, eh?" She asked.... I'm in hufflepuff...You a first year too?" Miranda asked as she started to absent mindedly strumming the guitar to the familiar tune of a song her mum used to sing to her when she was but a baby.. Now her mum sang it for he little sister Jordan..." Maybe we could practice together...?"

"Well, maybe you should ask someone if they can teach you how to play?" Rebecca asked as she looked around the music room. "I mean, if it were me than i'd feel unmotivated if i tried to teach myself" but that was just her, she liked guidance. But not too much.

Placing down the drum sticks, the first year stood up from the chair and walked over to the piano. Now this she could play. But only one song. "Yep, i'm a Gryffindor" she answered with a hint of pride in her voice. Gryffindor through and through she was. "Is it true that the Hufflepuff common room is filled with food?" she asked as she turned around to face the girl. "Cause i heard your common room is near the kitchens and " she shrugged. "Just wondering"

Miranda considered about the lessons, but shook her head, " I like a challenge... Besides I play better I think by ear than trying to read all the crazy notes on music paper..." she stated rather matter of factly...
then The little lion said the funniest thing ever and Miranda burst into laughter.... " no.... Sure we like food but who doesn't? ... And sure we are right near the kitchen... but I see just as many students from other houses coming to the kitchens like we badgers do..."

Bec couldn't argue with that so she nodded her head in agreement. Most people learned better that way and she was one of them as well. "Music notes are crazy alright, i'll never understand them" she sighed heavily as she pushed her fingers on the piano and started playing the only song she knew. Twinkle Twinkle little star.

When she was done, the Gryffindor turned back to face the Hufflepuff and her eyebrows raised up. Why was she laughing? She did not like being laughed at! Cheeks flushing red, Bec put one of her hands on her side and waited till the girl stopped laughing. Seriously, her question hadn't been THAT weird right?

However, when she mentioned that other house students went to the kitchens as well, the first year looked surprised. "They do?" she asked. "How? do you know how to get in there?" her mother had given her a very friendly letter saying she had to stop eating gummy worms and had stopped sending them. If she could get in to the kitchen, she was sure she could find some. She stood up abruptly and stood in front of the girl, eyes determined. "Show me where it is"

like..now.

And if she didn't know how to get in to the kitchen at least she would know the direction of it.

" Well, I suppose if you know how to get into the kitchen that would help. It isn't as easy as you would think. You can't just go walking in there.Like everything else I've noticed around here there's a trick to it. And even then it may only be prefects and the head boys and girls that were allowed in... Well, with the exception of my house. But then none of that would seem very fair..." Miranda rattled off." and even if you couldn't get in...I could and then I could get you whatever you wanted." She smiled.
