Music Classroom http://i1247.photobucket.com/albums/...pshtgwrn5a.png |
Julien was not a music person, no, not in the sense that he could play any instruments. He liked to listen to music though and that was what brought him into the music room. He had a few books he was wanting to look through for the term and what better place then a place that could be filled with music. Walking into the room he flicked his wand and the piano came to life. Charms were a splendid thing. How they could wake up the world around you. Finding a seat he opened the first book and started to skim through it. Helping the needs of all wizards. His educational books had grown over the summer because of one student. He wasn't going to rest until he figured out what was going on. |
Hadleigh had spent a very fair amount of time in both the Music Room and the RoR over the past several terms. Between her dancing and practicing of the guitar and drums there was no better place to be. Practice was the main reason driven behind her heading towards the music room this evening. A new song to work on always brought her this way. As she neared the room however she already heard the faint sound of the piano. Maybe it was one of the band already inside, however she didn't think this was so. Rather then turn and head somewhere else Hady continued forward stepping slowly into the room her eyes landing on the source of music only to find no one sitting there playing. Strange but not really around here. Hazel eyes doing a slow sweep of the area as she stepped further into the room to land on Professor Primeaux. "Hello Professor, you enjoy the piano?" she questioned quietly seeing as he was reading and she wasn't aiming to entirely disturb the man. |
Kimmy <3 Mason had avoided this room like the plaque last year. It wasn't that she didn't like music, far from it actually. She had been too hesitant to come in here, too scared that if she saw that piano, everything would come back. . . all those countless hours in that Room, mindless of everything except the ivory keys. . . But she was here now, standing in the middle of the Music-Room, her back to the piano. She hadn't touched one since that day in DA and it had awoken her love for music again. Her case floated behind her, it had been too heavy and she was far too lazy to drag the thing all the way from the Dungeons. She flicked her wand once, dismissing the spell. The case clattered unceremoniously to the ground, the instrument inside hitting the case-lining. Oops. Mason knelt beside the case, her hands opening every clasp in top-speed, she was cursing herself for her stupidity. You should have lowered it, idiot! When all the clasps had been undone, she threw back the lid. . . and gave a sigh of relief. It was fine, the cello was fine. Note to self: Don't ever do that again. She reached for the instrument's neck, fingers curling around the wooden surface. Mason lifted the cello from the case, careful not to drop it again. She got back to her feet, the cello in one hand, her wand in the other. She raised to Yew and pointing it to one of the stools, cast- "Accio, Stool!" The stool came rather tediously, legs scraping over the floor, but it came and that was all that mattered. When it finally reached her, she pocketed her wand and reached for the bow that still rested in the case. With everything she needed, Mason lowered herself onto the seat, drawing the cello to its full height between her legs. She took a deep breath and placed the rosined-bow onto the strings. She didn't have any sheet music, so she'd have to go along with anything that came to mind. . . she placed her fingers onto the board. Breath. |
Text Cut: Mason! You know what Vivi was down for? ADVENTURE. It was one of Vivian's top agendas for the week. As much as she was a hundred percent aware that she would get lost but, so far, she still had everything under control. She let the moving staircases do its job and randomly went wherever it took her. Well, this was something her parents didn't tell her. They didn't even give her some sort of map. Guess the eleven year old had to handle all of this on her own, then. She didn't care, though. Getting lost would be fun. Well, sort of. But did she care? Nope. Vivi skipped around the fifth floor, or so it seemed like the fifth floor. She passed by the Ancient Runes classroom. Was it empty? Yeah, seemed like it too. SKIP SKIP SKIPPIDY SKIP. Nothing seemed to be stopping the blonde for now. So, for the fifth floor... Ancient Runes classroom... and... a music room? Now that made the Slytherin stop. She wasn't any pro at instruments but she did hear someone inside. It sounded really nice too! Opening the door slooooowly and quieeetly as possible, Vivi entered the room and examined the contents for a couple of seconds before looking for whoever was playing inside. There was a girl, who was probably around her age or older. Vivi tried to stay concealed by hiding behind the big piano. Her mum told her to never eavesdrop because it was rude but... ... this wasn't rude. Vivi kept listening and swaying to the music. And sort of hit her foot on the piano's leg in the process. It wasn't THAT loud of a thud, but probably loud enough for mystery cello player girl to hear! Vivi ducked her head and held her breath for dear life. OH NO OH NO. ABORT MISSION. |
SPOILER!!: Fairchild Her fingers danced over the strings, pressing and quivering. Her skills hadn't faded away completely like she had been worried about. Her hands still remembered how to hold the bow and her fingers still knew where to touch. She had outgrown the cello since the last time she had played, but she was still Hobbit-ish enough for it to not make that much of a difference. The only pro of being small and short. Her eyes snapped open when she heard the thud. The string still shuddered with the forgotten note, dragging it on and filling the room with its low rumble. "Hello?" She didn't think that there was anyone else in here. It had been empty when she had arrived, only the stools and the instruments had adorned the room. Mason got up from the stool, carefully leaning the cello against the stool's frame. Her wand was still in her pocket, not that she would need it. . . unless it was that stupid doll again. If anyone was in here, it didn't look like they were gonna reveal themselves soon, "You can come out from behind there." Assuming that said person was hiding behind something. She turned towards the drum-set, bow still clutched tightly in her hand. It was probably stupid Peeves again, didn't he have a girlfriend to harass now? All the ghosts in this castle sucked. . . especially the Bloody Dung Bag. He sucked the most. Hellllllooooooooooo???????? LEEEEE SIGHHHHHHHHHH. |

Finally hearing someone's voice he lifted his eyes from the page. "Oh Hello Hadleigh. Yes, the piano has a very nice calming sound that is good to stimulate the brain while learning." He liked the soft sound of the piano and the room had been rather quiet. "Are you a musician?" He didn't know much about his students yet, so learning knew things was always good. |

Her eyes moved around the quiet room taking in everything she already knew was there. The Professors question soon had Hadleigh turning her attention back onto him. "I am Sir. I play the guitar some as well as the drums." Since joining the Sirens the guitar wasn't played as much but that was alright. "Do you play?" If he could ask her then it was alright to return the question, right? |

Vivian tried to control her breathing, although she might have failed at that because her heart was beating so fast and she needed air. She crossed her fingers and squeezed her eyes shut if ever the other girl decided to look behind the big piano. Yep, she was ready... sort of. It felt like death and also... Merlin, this tiny space between the wall and the piano was sort of dusty. She tried not to sneeze either. It would totally reveal her position, which was something she did NOT want to happen at all. Gah, too late. The cello player girl called for her to show herself. Vivi's eyes opened and looked left and right. Was she going to let herself out of here? Or just stay hidden? Vivi decided on the latter and sort of squatted there until OH NO DUSTY DUSTY DUSTY. The blonde opened her mouth, trying soooo hard not to make sound, but... oops. ACHOO! She gave away her position. MEEEHHHH. Vivi scratched her nose and took out a hanky from her pocket to wipe it. Guess there was no point trying to conceal herself anymore. The blonde knelt down on her knees and allowed herself to sneak a peek of the cello girl, as if her blue eyes were floating above the piano and nothing else. Awkward. |
Mel had come to really love the music classroom. It was almost like her home away from home in what was basically her home for the next…now six years? Her charmed headphones were on as she walked around the room and listened to the song she was planning on recreating with cello and really any other instruments…we need to make a band here she thought to herself as her fingers instinctively tapped out the beat to the song. “If we’re still alive my regrets are few” she sang out while flailing and dancing about her little arms keeping time with the drum beat of the song. Something she had tried to learn while at Camp Apollo. It hadn’t gone well…she’d accidentally flung her stick at someone mid practice. “MY RERGETS ARE FEW!” her voice was raising in volume as she flailed and danced about the empty room. “If my life is mine what shouldn’t I do? I get wherever I’m goiiiiiiiiinnnnngggg I get whatever I neeeed!” She loved the song. It was something she had found on one of those vintage muggle cd’s her grandmother had collected. |
Jessie/Mel- Hope you don't mind me butting in! The dark wood of her guitar had been staring her in the face for a while now. Noelle hadn't touched her guitar in a while because she was busy doing other things. But now that she was avoiding people and things The common room had a lot going on, with the new students all meeting and greeting. So Noelle decided to make her way down to the music classroom. She also hadn't been here in a while. The term last year, what term she had, she spent catching up and training. Not much free time there. Noelle sipped into the classroom with her guitar in her hands and spotted a familiar face. Mel. She grinned and made her way over. The girl had ear phones in and looked like she was really enjoying her song. She almost hated to interrupt. But she did. Tapping her leg, Noelle gave her a wave. |
The Gryffindor second year was still bopping her head and was about to sing out when she felt it…something was tapping her leg. The lyrics caught in her throat as she nearly screamed out…”oh merlin I wasn’t expecting that” she laughed embarrassedly as she turned off the music and waved over to Noelle herself. “Hey Noelle! You look good, I’ve not seen you…well other than at the feast since…Ava’s party?” Mel grinned over to her and then remembered the bits from the feast – she wasn’t going to pry but…really, that had seemed awkward and tense and completely not fair to Noelle. Really. Jealousy. That was…stupid? Right. That was what her siblings had always said when they were describing it and whenever she was jealous of the fact that Ace was hanging out with Torrance and not with her…humph. Right. |
Mel and Noelle (hey you rhyme :P) There was an almost imperceptible WHOOSH as Tenacius went swooping around corridors on his cruiser. Haha this thing cut down half the time of walking yeah? Enough so much so that he can squeeze in some free time between classes. That’s the only great thing about first day of school-- no homework to worry about yet. So he whooshed into the Music room to say hello to that slightly out of tune drum set. It was like visiting an old old friend who doesn’t seem to have all his marbles anymore but its fun listening to him anyway in the hopes perhaps the interaction would make him better than he was before. But oh hey theres Mel now "Heya Mel wzup!" he greeted his childhood buddy and saw another fellow lion-- hey wasn’t that the girl from the kerfuffle at the feast? "Hello--" uh Sabbath's girl? Not anymore? Never had been? See this is what happens when you focus only on the action and not on the dialogue. "Nice guitar." Guitar girl. Yeah that’s what her name is to him until he could somehow get her to spit out her name. Heh. And yes-- to the drums! |
Mel and Tenacius! Putting her guitar on her lap, she grinned when Mel said she looked good. That was Always nice to hear. Especially lately. She started running her guitar, trying to do it by sound since she hadn't played it in a while. "Thanks Mel!! So do you!" Because it was the truth. The girl was already gorgeous and Nells was jealous of certain parts. Her apples would get bigger right?? "What song are you listening too??" Noelle pretty much C only knew muggle songs since her father was a muggle and her mum tended to stick to more of the muggle side of things. There was a mixture of magic and muggle in her house, but it was predominately muggle. But maybe Noelle had heard of that song?? Oh another person. And good thing she didn't hear him say Sabbath's girl. She was her own girl and would stay that way. Just because she was in fact dating Sabbie, didn't mean she was any less her own person. "Hey! Noelle. My name. " Because for some reason real sentences weren't happening. Noelle looked down at her guitar and smiled. "Me dad gave it to me. He knows his way around a guitar." Which was very true since every Sunday him and the neighbors got together, played music, and drank. |

Flying one way and then zipping suddenly to the right or left at various times, Herjenmie was on a mission. Well, a delivery. And it was going GREAT. Except that he hadn't found the hooman yet. But he WOULD. He paused in the middle of a corridor, flapping his wings to stay in the air, his head twisting this way and that way to assess his surroundings... And then he flew right into the music room - and spotted the eyes of the hooman behind that large noisemaker thing. "Hoooo!" He flew right over her and set the letter and package down near her. Then, with another proud "Hooo!", he zoomed away, heading back home. Text Cut: delivery! |
Mel grinned as she watched Noelle tuning her guitar. “How long have you played?” Mel asked excitedly as she hadn’t known that Noelle was a guitarist really at all. That was obviously awesome because well she could maybe possibly get advice from her or jam with her or even start some band. “I’ve played Cello since I was” she paused for a moment squinting her eyes as she tried to think how old she had been when she started playing. “Um…since I was in like key-stage classes? My old primary school had an orchestra and my brother signed me up for it…” she shrugged her shoulder and grinned. “it was fun, but I honestly like guitar and bass as well?” She admitted with a grin. “Oh…it’s the band Metric? Their song Help I’m Alive it had this really cool edgy bass line?” Mel admitted with a big grin spreading across her face. It was when Tenacius came into the room that she looked over to Noelle and then the realization hit her. They hadn’t met. She could introduce them and make sure Noelle knew the whole situation later every little detail. “Hey Ace…um Noelle this is Tenacius Salander? My best mate from childhood?” The one she had hinted to Noelle about when she mentioned boys that time on the paths outside? Yep. Maybe she’d get it? “Isn’t her guitar awesome? It’s beautiful I think…” Mel grinned. “Oh not much really…I was trying to use some of the skills I learned in camp and well get the beat and general melody down for this muggle song? Help I’m alive? The one my gran showed us before I went to Australia with her?” She shrugged and grinned at her best curly headed friend. |

She played two different instruments, that was impressive. "You seem like a very well rounded person Hadleigh. That is a very good quality to have." He tried to make sure his own children were pretty well rounded. "Have you played the instruments long?" It made him wonder what kind of talent was at the school that he didn't know about. He really did need to try to get to know students a little better this term, but he liked not at the same time. "Oh no, I have never learned to play. I just enjoy the sounds and thankfully with magic I don't need to know to enjoy." |

Miranda walked into the music classroom and found a seat quickly... She was very excited to be able to come today. She loved music and was a decent little singer and was eager to learn new things... No matter what it was.. She looked around after having sat down and she noticed the professor speaking with another student. So, she folded her hands onto her lap and waited ever so patiently to be able to introduce herself. |
Cornelius! Azura slowly moved into the Music room and sat down at the piano, her fingers quickly started to move over the keys, the music she was making filling the air as she closed her purple eyes.. Nocture in C Sharp minor was what she was playing.. It had lately become one of her favorite pieces, seeing as her other favorite piece, Moonlight sonata, was her late mother's favorite as well.. She let the music flow over her.. soothing her weary soul for a moment.. It seemed lately, this was the only thing that made her feel better.. The world was less dark here at the piano.. The harsh reality that was life.. was eased..She felt less numb.. Her eyes sparkled just a bit.. and a tiny hint of a smile was on her face.. So for now.. the second year Ravenclaw was losing herself in her music.. |

Pulling out his wand he quieted the piano, there was no point in staying now. Students were needing to practice and he was just in the way. He'd have to go look for another place to read. There were plenty of places of course so it wasn't all that bad. |

The boy paused, then stopped completely next to the classroom door. He was familiar with the tune. His ever-so lovely mum loved to play the piano and Cornelius himself played a bit, but his heart lay with the drums. Picking up his feet he entered the room and spotted tiny Miss Kennedy. He remembered her profile of course. Walking in slowly and quietly, waved his index fingers in the air as if he was a music composer. |
:3 Sorry for ze lateness SPOILER!!: Sneezers SPOILER!!: Random Owl Crasher Mason whirled around at the sound of the sneeze, thinking that it was Peeves playing tricks on her. She had raised the bow like a sabre, as if the wood and horse-hair would defend her against an idiotic poltergeist. Instead of said idiotic-poltergeist, though, she found herself staring into little blue eyes. Mason gave a little groan and lowered the bow, seeing as it wouldn't be necessary to skewer the ?girl? or whatever gender the eyes were attached to. "You know that you're the worst spy ever, right?" Mason gave her best Slytherin-smirk, still standing in front of the piano, waiting for said terrible-spy to come out from behind it, "Will you come out of there if I promise not to stab you with my bow?" Not a likely promise, but meh. Before Mason could even open her mouth again, a large owl came soaring into the room, hooting with pride as he dropped a package near the Spy. And just as fast as he had came, he was gone again, still hooting. "Wow, you're lucky. Usually those owls demand payment for those types of packages. . ." Like 5 Knuts or something. Was this eye-ball person gonna reveal themselves now? Please, cause this was kind of awkward . . . |

She finished her song off with a flourish before she turned in her seat and looked up at the boy. "Hello Cornelius, how are you? Beat anyone else in duels?" She asked him with a slight grin.. She had lost her duel so badly to him.. But there had been circumstances.. and he was super good. "How was your summer?" She asked him as she looked over at him. |

"I try to be Sir. My father always says there's nothing wrong with knowing many different things even if it's only a little bit." Which is why she read...all the time. It's why she practiced too. Her love of learning and being good at things was constantly growing. "I've been playing the drums about two years now maybe a bit longer and the guitar I've been playing on and off since I was about six." Her heart hadn't been into it as much back then however and she had given up for some time. "Charms are wonderful when you simply want to listen." Hady agreed with this as she did this all the time charming music to play. "I like to play myself though as it helps clear my mind." Not to mention it was an awesome outlet for bottled up feelings. |
