Do you suffer from train carriage FOMO? If you want to be in the middle of everything, these are the seats for you. No one will wander by without your knowing, and no party at the front OR back of the train will be missed. Just make sure you don't party too hard... there's still London at the end of this journey!
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
So THIS was the famous Hogwarts Express? Rebecca found it....disappointing.
The way her parents had told her stories she had thought the train would fly in the air or become invisible to muggles , at least something magical. But it looked like an old train not even the muggle used anymore. Still, the journey to get on the platform had been exciting. Running through a wall! how COOL was that?! In fact, Bec had ran back and forth through the wall several times before her parents scolded her.
With her luggage safely in the luggage compartment and only a school bag hanging over her shoulder, she walked in the first compartment she saw and sat down as she opened up her bag. Pulling out her Hogwarts robes, Bec put on her uniform already because she was too excited to wait for a later time.

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts! Isabella had hugged her parents and her brothers good-bye, and her papa had helped her stow her luggage. Now she was wandering around the train, practically bouncing around the train corridors. She was going to Hogwarts! She wasn't ready to change into the school uniform just yet, though. She was wearing her favorite dress with little purple polka dots on the skirt, and she didn't want to wear the boring black robes until she had to.
Peering into compartments, Isabella wondered if she'd be able to find that girl Felix from Diagon Alley or not. The train was definitely bigger than she'd thought. Maybe she should just sit somewhere, and Felix could find her? Isabella paused at the door to a compartment with another little girl inside. Should she sit here? She did need more than one friend at Hogwarts, after all.
"Excuse me," Isabella said confidently. "Do you mind if I join you?"

In spite of the fact that she was expected in the Prefect Compartment pretty soon, Dot wasn't in any hurry to show up there herself. In fact, she was dawdling, hardcore and full-time dawdling, as she poked her nose into various compartments to see who was where and what was happening.
Like some new faces... firsties, probably. "Hey," Dot gave the two girls a vague wave before ducking further down the corridor.
Empty compartment? Yeah... that was a good place to lay low for now. She collapsed on the seat, tucked her dress around her legs, and closed her eyes.

Today was the day. Today was the day that she was finally going to Hogwarts. It was going to be amazing and she could not wait. She had waited for so long. And now she was going to Hogwarts too. She was going to get sorted, and then she would start her amazing adventure at Hogwarts. But now she would hopefully enjoy the train.
She had no idea where Skyler was. But that was okay. She needed to make friends too. She hummed to herself as she wandered down the train, looking for a person to talk too.
Ooh. There was a person in a compartment on their own. They looked like a big person though. Hattie bit her lip, pushing the door open "Uh... Hi!"

This was a disaster. A complete and utter disaster and her life was ruined. Having been literally, physically forced onto the train, Nicky had only relented because she didn't want to cause a scene when she knew she was going to have to go anyway. Her parents had known all summer what they were doing and had given her as little time as possible to adjust or to protest. They'd packed her things. They'd ordered her robes.
And now she was on the train to Hogwarts.
Spotting a carriage where there seemed to be just a single sleeping student, Nicky figured this was the best she was going to do. At least she wouldn't have to talk to anyone.
Except now there was a small person approaching the same. Ugh. There was no use. She was sitting here.
"Move," she said, pushing past and into the compartment.
She wasn't looking to make friends.

This term was definitely going to be a busy one. Not only did Frankie have to perform his prefect duties, but he also had to play the big brother role. With Hattie going to Hogwarts now, that meant HE was meant to look after her now that mum and dad weren't around. Now, obviously, the blond wasn't planning on hand-holding Hattie forever ... but she did need to get off on the right foot.
The Hogwarts Express was just the right spot to do that. After putting away his trunk, he intended on continuing his tradition of finding the trolley lady. However, he did happen to catch sight of the blond bob of hair that belonged to his sister. Was she asking someone if she could sit with them? Oh no, oh no. Firstly, Patons sat whenever they wanted; they didn't need to ask. Secondly, who was she talking to??
"Be careful with that one, sis," he said from behind her, peering over the top of her head, once he caught sight of Dot. "She bites."
He was about to smirk to show that he was joking, but then some chick pushed her way into the compartment. Now that one would REALLY bite someone. Sheesh! "Please and thank you's go a long way, you know. Apologize to my sister." He flashed the prefect badge at her, just in case she needed some motivation.

Aaaalmost done! She just needed to put her sweater over her head aaaaand.... She heard the sound of the compartment door opening. Weren't there any locks on this thing? Maybe that was one of the things she was going to learn at Hogwarts? Making locks?
Rebecca looked up, though her face wasn't visible because it was still in the sweater and in the confusion, her head had gotten stuck in the sleeve of one of the arms. "I don't mind, can you help me get out of this thing, i think i'm stuck!" she said while pointing at her hidden head as she heard another voice (Dot). "Hi!" she answered cheerfully through the clothing piece before she tried to find the right part to put her head through. She did not hear the other person entering the compartment though....

There was a kerfluffle at the door, and Dot cracked one eye at the small person, the pushy person, and the Frankie all vying for her attention. No thanks. Relaxing was happening here.
"I don't bite, actually, or I don't leave much of a mark when I do." She closed her eyes again and left Frankie to deal with the rude pushing girl, since he had a vested interest to do so. Like sibling reasons. Although... sibling reasons probably meant that he couldn't be trusted not to lose his mind. Dot would probably throw someone out the carriage window if they talked to or touched her baby brother like that.
So she sat up and shifted her legs to the floor. "It's customary for people to ask permission to join a compartment that is already occupied. I'm Charlotte, this is my compartment, and you are..." She offered raised eyebrows and a mostly cordial tone to the older (pushier) girl, and a sly wink to the ickle. For biting reasons.

Clearly unimpressed, Nicky crossed her arms over her chest. "Please," she said, drawing out the word somewhat sarcastically, "take that tacky piece of tin you clearly fished out of a cereal box and wave it at someone who cares."
Except the sleeping girl wasn't actually sleeping and was now chiming in. Well, how was she supposed to know! Her cheeks felt hot as another person chided her. "Well, I didn't see anyone's name on it," she retorted somewhat defensively. Merlin, she hated it here already and they were barely underway. Having just pushed in, she moved to leave the compartment instead as Charlotte asked for her name and the tiny nuisance called her rude.
"I'm.. leaving," she said in response, making sure she had her handbag and looking to move past the sibling duo. "Move. Please.""

OH gosh. The big sister in Isabella leapt into action when she saw that the girl had gotten stuck in the sweater. Also, had she forgotten to knock? "I've got it, don't you worry!" Isabella exclaimed, moving from the doorway of the compartment to stand next to the girl. She tugged a bit on the sweater sleeve that the girl was stuck in. It didn't give a whole lot, though, and Isabella didn't want to tug the girl's head off.
"Wow, you're really stuck! I think if I can just wiggle it over your ears, you should be able to pull your head out!" Isabella tugged gently on the sweater. Did it work? Worse case scenario, they could find someone who knew how to enlarge the sweater. But hopefully she could just wiggle her head out because Isabella wasn't great at asking strangers for help.

Normally Frankie would have made a comment about Dot's not biting/don't leave much of a mark response. However, the Gryffindor's attention was not on the Slytherin prefect. It was fully on the girl who decided it was okay to ORDER and PUSH an eleven year old around. The matter was even worse that it was his own sister that she was being a jerk toward. He wondered where in the world she came from, especially with an attitude like that.
He stiffly nodded his head when Hattie stated the obvious. Yes, that girl was definitely rude. He was ready to mentally take note of her name, since Dot had asked for it, so he would know exactly who was the cause of first years being bullied and would go directly to--
TACKY PIECE OF TIN? CEREAL BOX? AND HATTIE DID NOT GET THE APOLOGY SHE DESERVED? Frankie's face went red. He was on the verge of taking out his wand and hexing Little Miss Attitude, and they hadn't even made it to the castle yet. Hold him back, Dot. Hold. Him. Back.
Fortunately, before he could tell Hattie to get away from all of the drama and go sit with Skylar or Noah, the girl that had quickly raised his blood pressure snatched her handbag and announced that she was leaving. "Good riddance," he muttered under his breath. Frankie then nudged Hattie closer to him and gave whatever her name was some parting words. "Have a spectacular day."

"Move. Please.""

There was a time, as a little second year, when Dot had been new to Hogwarts. She hadn't known anyone in her house, she'd been lonely and sad, and if she'd been a bolder person, she'd probably have been a terror to the people around her who had been friends for ages already. It was easy to be at Hogwarts if you already had friends, and impossible if you didn't.
So, in spite of the fact that this new pushy girl was very rude and deserved to stalk off in peace, Dot held up a hand and waved it at her. "Wait, though. I said you should ask, but I didn't say you were unwelcome. Stay. I don't know you yet." And she ought to know who people were, because they'd either be great friends, or the girl was going to be a problem.
She pointed to the seat across from her. "Have a seat, Frankie's sister. Frankie. But we're going to be polite... ish, because I already have a headache and we're barely out of London." Going back to school was the worst.

Hagan had gotten bored. A bored cat meant either claws in her hand or nibbling at her fingers. Today it had been both. So after telling the blonde whom she had been sitting with Hady had gotten to her feet and left the compartment her furry friend following.
Hadleigh made her way towards the middle compartments slowly. Every now and then she'd laugh softly when her cat would suddenly leap at her legs for no reason.

Hope found an empty compartment in the middle. She dragged her luggage in. Storing it in the proper spot. She sighed and leaned back. Last year riding on the train she had Spencer to hang out with. Now she had Noelle and sabbie. Her crew. Well that's what she was going to call them. She hoped this year she'd actually make some long lasting friends. She loved sabbie and noelle but they needed alone time and she needed someone to rely on when she got lonely.
She closed her eyes and rested her heading thinking about her upcoming year. How would it be? She hoped it would go as great as last year. Minus a few things. She soon found herself drifting asleep. Thinking about noelle and sabbie.

Hadley was still rather restless after being cooped up inside all summer. Even sitting in the compartments, watching the world go by outside could only be taken for so long before she had to get up and wander a bit. As had become commonplace over the summer, Asher, her ferret, was draped across her shoulders, along for the ride. Every now and then he'd try to nibble on her hair.
Both the ferret and Hadley were a far cry from how they had been at the end of last term. Asher was no longer that spazzy ball of energy that Hadley had to keep on a leash. With little to do over summer, she had spent a good chunk of the time training him and they had grown quite inseparable. It was a good thing Wimple, her owl, wasn't the jealous type when it came to non-owls at least. He was so the jealous type if it was another owl taking Hadley's attention away.
Like Asher, Hads didn't seem like she was going to burst from all the energy she used to have. There was the distinct impression all that energy was still there, though, beneath her much calmer surface. Somehow that impression gave her a slightly menacing vibe. Or maybe it was just the sense of how much she seemed to grow up over the summer. Less than 24 hours away from being a teenager, but already look the part.
As she walked down the train's hallway, Hads was absently surveying the occupants in each compartment with little real interest. She wasn't sure if she was looking for ol' Freckle face, or maybe just looking to avoid being seen by her. Half of her wanted to see her friend again badly, the other half wanted to avoid the interrogation and lecture about the months of silence.
She slipped past another blonde with a cat in tow and absently gave the other girl a nod. Three steps later, recognition kicked in and she stopped and turned on her heels. "Hadleigh?" Even the second year's voice was a bit different, heavier, a bit more mature sounding. Hads had grown another inch over summer, but that was nothing compared to the growth spurt her name twin seemed to have. "Are you taller than me now?" It was hard to say, honestly. The were so close in height now. But even if she wasn't, it was clear Hadley wasn't taller than Hadleigh anymore. At best they were the same height.

Azura slowly lowered herself into an empty compartment and took a deep breath as she cleared the remaining tears from her eyes, she moved over to the window to see if she could still her Daddy, but he was gone and she a small sob choked the little girl as she leaned her head on the window and banged her fists on the window..
He should have taken her with him.. They could both go back to the Black Forest and hunt down the vampire that had killed her mother..
Or they couid go find her.. Cause Azura was sure the ministry had made a mistake.. They had to have..
Her mother couldn't be gone!
She leaned back wearily into the seat and sighed softly.. She just wanted to see Jace.. Or Maybe Garreth and Teddy, and Esme.. They might pull her from her numbing darkness.

Third year.
Noelle couldn't believe it.
She had missed the train last year due to......... Circumstances. This year, she had actually boarded the train. Mind you, her mum stayed close to her until she was actually on the train. Sabbie had whistled and winked at her from inside the train and her mum had gone red faced. It had taken a moment for Noelle to get away from her mum due to Sabbies little stunt.
Now she was on her way to find him.
Only, Noelle was walking past a compartment, ducking when a paper ball flew at her, when she saw a familiar face.
Her best friend and cousin, Hope.
But was she asleep??
Noelles smile turned into a bit of a smirk. She opened the compartment door and tiptoed in. She had a fizzing Whizbee in her pocket. Taking it out, she stuck it into her cousins open mouth. Poor girl. Mouth breather.

Now to wait for the fun to happen.
There was a noise. Hope's eyes fl flew open. There was something in her mouth. It was fizzing.
FIZZ
Next thing she knew she was in the air. Floating. She glared at the only other person giggling in the corner of the compartment. Her cousin. Noelle.
"Get me down!!" She floated to the top of the compartment. Pushing herself off the ceiling.

Could someone die of laughter??
Because Noelle just might be doing that right now.
She was curled over in laughter as Hope was lifted to the ceiling. Whizbees didn't last that long so she would be down in just a moment. Not to mention, they were tasty! It was a win/win in Noelles eyes.
So the laughter was completely called for. Noelle covered her mouth, and grabbed her cousins foot. She pulled her down and put her into the chair. "It wears off." Hiccup. Oops. "Arent you glad I found you asleep instead of someone else??" Noelle asked Hope with a little smirk and wiggle of her eyebrows.
Weasel was neatly tucked into the crook of her arm, along with Chico. Her two Hogwarts pets. Weasel being the pgymy puff that Haddie had given her since she lost Mute during the... Circumstance. And Chico being the hedgehog that Sabbie had gotten her. She still needed to thank Haddie and show her how well Weazel was doing. She would get to that later.
Hope seemed to have stopped floating and Noelles laughter had gone with it. "Heh. What are you doing in here all alone?"

Harriet actually didn't really understand the problem. Okay. The girl was quite rude. But people were rude, and Hattie just didn't let it bother her. She'd be constantly worried if she let rude people bother her. She did like the fact that her big brother was trying to look after her though. That wasn't really Frankie's style. But she liked that he would look out for her. It would make their mother happy, maybe she'd owl her mom and mention it.
Oh. The other girl was leaving? Well. That was interesting. Was it really worth being all rude if she was going to actually leave. That made no sense at all. "You're gonna push me around and then leave? That's pretty pointless" The first year mused, shaking her head, as she slipped past her brother, this rude girl and finally go into the compartment.
The first year smiled at the older, nice girl and she sat down. "I'm Hattie" And she preferred that to 'Frankie's sister'

Still stuck with her head in the sleeve of the uniform sweater, Bec heard rather than saw the girl walk her way over to her and a second later she felt a tug on the sweater above her head. "Oww!" she exclaimed as her nose was getting squashed and she rubbed it with her left hand. "Watch it" she didn't want to start her first year with a broken nose!
Feeling the fabric slide over her ears, the eleven year old felt it getting looser around her head. "It works! wait i totally got this!" she tucked on the sweater a couple of times and her head popped out from under it. "Freedom!" she yelled. Merlin's Beard that thing was hot. She waved her free hand at her face to fan herself for a moment before she put on the sweater the correct way this time. Standing up from her seat she brushed her skirt and sat back down.
Her eyes went to the girl who had saved her but instead of saying a thank you, Bec pointed at her dress. "What store did you get that? its so cute! look at those purple dots!" she wanted it as well.

Sabbie would know that laugh anywhere! After seeing her board from the train window, Sabbath had collected his things and made his way down towards Nell's carriage. He could hear her now, in the compartment up ahead, in fits of giggles.
He stuck his head in through the compartment door and his eyes were immediately drawn upwards... there was Hope, floating on the ceiling! He looked back to Nells who was still in stitches and cracked a grin, he couldn’t help but start to laugh too at Nell's doubled-over predicament, but, at the same time he reached up to grab Hope’s sneaker to help pull Hope back down to the compartment seat.
“Should I even ask what on earth is going on here?" he said, still grinning and holding Hope down. He leaned over to kiss his hellos, pecking Hope on each cheek before turning to Nells. “I saw your mother was pleased to see me” he chuckled sarcastically, giving her a squeeze.
He looked back to Hope, feeling a little guilty for laughing “Are you OK, Hope” he asked, as another surreptitious chuckle escaped.

After another swat at her legs from Hagan the sixteen year old knelt down to scoop him up into her arms. "You silly cat you, you're going to leave scratches all over my legs," she told him with a pat to the head. Cat usually were silly and liked to bounce about but hers was more on the calm side. So whatever was getting into him today was a bit unusual.
Straightening up against, the calico cat cradled in her arms still she continued to walk down the aisle. Or at least that had been her intention. Barely having made it a step forward and a blonde in front of her was turning around speaking her name. However strange it was for someone to be calling her 'Hadleigh' she knew who it was. "Hello Haddie, how was your summer?" she greeted warmly with a light smile her skin tanned from an entire summer outdoors in Ireland tending to all the creatures.
Was she taller then her? Hady hadn't really noticed honestly. Possibly. The brunette knew she had grown quite a bit over the summer as she also knew it was most likely all she would be growing now that she was sixteen. Hazel eyes scanning over the younger blonde before her she realized that she was indeed just a bit taller. Well would you look at that! A small smile played across her lips. "I guess I am but I bet you before the term is out at the end of the year you'll be taller then me again." Most everyone was and she didn't even mind anymore.
