_________________ Welcome to your first duel! This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below. Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered. Text Cut: Physical Actions _______________ A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed. Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules. Good luck! ________________ OOC: This duel must be completed by the 14th of June by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out. Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell. Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability. First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel. Good luck! |
H: 150 m: 150 f: 15 WAS SHE LATE?! Was she? Was she? Ariadne dashed into the room, panting slightly due to her half-jog from the Slytherin common room. She had TOTALLY forgotten about her scheduled duel with Mel. "SORRY, MEL!" she called out. Okay, breathe. *pant pant* Breathe, Ariadne. *pant* She stepped up to the platform, drew her wand, and gave the Gryffindor girl across from her a bow. Now. Time to begin. She had been practicing all summer...well, maybe not ALL summer...BUT, she was better prepared for a duel this time. Her brain jumped right to the 'F section' of the spells she'd memorized, and she knew just which one she wanted to start with. Actually, which ONES she wanted to start with. Heh. "Furnunculus!" she exclaimed, directing her spell toward Mel. She quickly followed that casting with a Feather-light Charm cast on herself. Please work! Oh, please work! SPOILER!!: Points |
And.......... yet another duel in which only one dueller turned up. Really? What was going on? Was there an event he was unaware of? Because that was the only explanation for all of this that was going on through a number of duels that had opened up. It was the only reason he could think of as to why people would rather be elsewhere than here. As it was, he waited for a few minutes, looking slightly put out. When enough time had passed and it looked like there wasn't anyone coming, he approached Miss Greingoth instead. "Sorry, I guess your partner's late. You can go if you want." Smile. |
