Located on the far wall of the common room, one will find the indoor garden. A variety of beautiful flowers and plants sit in glass containers of all shapes and sizes, some seemingly growing right from the wall itself. If you've got a green thumb, the small work bench will give you the opportunity to do some planting on your own. The charms on the space ensure the temperature and lighting are perfect for the plant life. Not into Herbology? (HMMPH!) On the floor, an array of tree stumps are arranged in a semi circle so why not come sit and enjoy the serene space, instead? Either way, this new addition to the room is one you're sure to enjoy. | |

Juliette had never seen anyone actually sit in the Indoor Garden, so she decided to be the first Hufflepuff at the table. She had her dad send her some sunflower seeds via owl so that she could try her hand at keeping a plant alive. Hopefully, it wouldn't end badly.
She sat down at the bench, took a pot from the stack, and poured some soil into it.

She had expected Scarlett would come join her after she had mentioned she would be here this morning at breakfast. After placing the last seed she was holding, she looked over at Scarlett and replied, "I'm trying to be a gardener."
Maybe if she did manage to grow beautiful sunflowers, she could go show them off to Professor Myers! He would LOVE it -- or Juliette at least hoped he would!
"Why don't you try? I have some extra seeds in my bag." She pulled out a little bag and offered them to her.

Well...yes, Juliette DID have a point. Scarlett really wasn't doing anything else right now. Might as well plant a sunflower and see if she could actually keep the damn thing alive. Hehe. Rolling her eyes, she wandered over to one of the empty pots and took out a seed, pushing it into the soil with her finger and then packing it in nicely.
"First day? Boy, took him long enough," Scarlett giggled. "And yeah, he owled me the other day. He got a job at the Ministry part time and he's SUPER excited about it. Mum keeps making him eat healthy food and stuff, and apparently they have a wager going between them to see if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl," she added with a grin. She had a feeling it was going to be a girl - they had to remain the dominant gender in the Reynolds family, after all. A boy would even it out and all, and that was no fun!
"What about your dad? Did he get a job too?" she asked, remembering that her cousin had mentioned that he too had been looking to get hired there. Merlin help the Ministry if they both got hired. She wasn't sure what it was about his cousin, but her dad always acted so GOOFY with him.

Juliette watched as Miss Priss Scarlett went over to join her... and planted a sunflower! It may her so happy that her cousin had been willing to bond with her over this little activity, even though she knew deep down that Scarlett was not having as much fun as she was. She enjoyed planting flowers, and she knew that when she got older, she would more than likely have a big garden in her yard.
"Right?" She mumbled. Ugh, she did not know why it took her daddy so long to get back with her but whatever... Honestly, did it really take months to settle back into the Ministry? Not like this was his first rodeo or anything. "Oh, he did?! That's exciting! Hopefully daddy and Uncle Nolan don't get into too much trouble there." It was a good thing Uncle Dan wasn't in the mix because nothing good every came from that. She remembered one Christmas when Uncle Dan visited and when he left, a burned down Christmas tree was all that was left to remember him by...
"Do you want a little brother or sister?" If it was her, she'd want a little sister to boss around, but she knew her father wasn't planning on having anymore kids. Especially since he wasn't even in a relationship right now. She nodded at Scarlett's question about her dad getting the job, and she replied, "He's in Law Enforcement, and he's happy about that. What department is your dad in?"

If not, Juliette could do the rest of it. Hehe. She grinned when her cousin mentioned her uncle and her dad getting into trouble. Her father was usually such a straight and narrow guy, but for some reason when her Uncle Sam came around, it was like he was a child.
"I think it helps that they're on separate levels," she giggled. "He's in Magical Creatures. Spirit Division. I guess he had that job long ago, back before he got hired here," she said. She...still wasn't entirely sure what a spirit liaison did, but he was all excited about it, so good for him.
In regards to whether or not she wanted a brother or sister, she wasn't sure. She swung her legs and shrugged in reply. "To be honest...I don't think I really care," she finally said with a grin. "I mean, I have little brothers AND little sisters, so it really doesn't matter to me. As long as they're healthy and not going to embarrass me, we're good," she told her cousin. Speaking of EMBARRASSING, she had only one more year after this of freedom at school before Clay got here. UGH. That thought was so depressing. NOPE, PUSHING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ASIDE.
