The house elves have been hard at work, leaving the Great Hall spotless, the tables set with pristine silverware, and delicious smells floating up from the kitchen. Your stomach might be growling, but it isn't quite time to eat yet.
Hopefully, the new Headmaster will make an appearance before you chew your way through your House table. Has anyone seen him yet?
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
After her sorting, Bec had ran towards her new House table and beamed excitingly as she looked around at her new family. She loved the Hat's choice of putting her in Gryffindor as her mother had been one as well. The eleven year old made a mental note to send a school owl to her mother later to tell her she got in to the House of BRAVERY AND AWESOMENESS!
Basically, she was cool now.
"HELLO!" She shouted for everyone to hear because everyone had to notice a new first year right? "Where's the food?" she asked as she sat down next to an older student (Zeke)

No. Actually. Was Miss Richards asking for a list? He would gladly provide one for her were he not currently crawling under the table.
"Just keep doing your duty, Miss Richards," he assured her as he continued his crawl. "Just...making my way to the entrance."
Nothing to see here.

Looking down under the table for a moment. “Professor I’ve got something for Pebbles” Mel grinned. Yep. Going with the whole gift for the Professor’s thing…rock friend rock lover? Rock girlfriend? Yep. “It’s startrek things for Pebbles” she smiled as she dropped the box onto the floor and slid it over toward the strange Professor.
“I really hope no one has smell feet for your sake” she muttered before righting herself and curling her own feet below her.
It was quite difficult crawling on only three limbs, but there was certainly no way he would EVER abandon Pebbles. Not after everything his precious had been through. There were a few unceremonious THUDS as the man's head collided with the underside of the table - an unfortunate side effect of the whole three limbs thing - and he thought he must have whacked his head pretty darn tootin' hard because a BOX had appeared out of no where and...oh...a present?
"NO TIME FOR THAT MISS JOHANSON!" he barked as he scurried by. Yes. BARKED. And he did not typically accept gifts from students unless they were in the form of baked goods...although the mention of Star Trek certainly did catch his attention...BUT SHE HAD JUST DROPPED IT ON THE GROUND LIKE THAT AND ONE DID NOT JUST DROP STAR TREK THINGS LIKE SOME HOT POTATO!
What was he doing? OR RIGHT! Crawling for his liiiiiiiiiiiiife.

*WHACK*
That...was a foot. A foot to his FACE!
While not a particularly strong impact, but it was startling enough that the professor rolled on to his side while protectively clutching Pebbles to his person and...
HE HAD NOT SIGNED UP FOR THIS KIND OF ABUSE.

Hopefully.
He had bulked up a bit over the summer but was still a rather lanky individual.
Whooooops!
"Terribly sorry about that," he apologized before crawling back under the table and continuing on his way.

Grown man under the table! Grown man under the table! WHY?! Ronan froze, eyes all wide and freaked looking. So, yes, the professor was definitely scaring the first years. Or one at least. Though, not for the reasons one might think. No, he was scared for the professor's sanity. Because the professor currently cowering under the table had to be insane, right?
"Ow!" That was his foot, by the way, Mr. Cowering Professor.
Whoops. And apologies for that as well.
"Sorry about that!"
Just going to keep on crawling by here...

Somebody feed him.
Popping up once he had reached the end of the line of student shoes - ALL of which were going to need a serious polish and he would see to it that the house elves were informed of this desperate need - the Astronomy professor hopped up and offered the nearest student (Mr. Zeke) a quick salute and then high tailed it towards the entrance where he actually DID have officially business to attend to.

So Tenacius got a bit held back on the train platform since there was some kerfuffle with his luggage. It wasn’t like he was bringing in anything contraband-- at least HE didn’t think so. But the wet blanket Hogsmeade authorities did. He just consoled himself into thinking that their greed would just lead to a massive hangover in the morning. Serves them right.
He breezed in into the Great Hall then gave quick pause-- there was a cat-- or was it a kneazle?-- sitting on the Headmistress' seat. For some reason he found that imagery hilarious. Didn’t some joke say that cats rule the world?
So the curly top spotted Mel at their house table and sat himself down across from her. "Hey Mel didja kn--" he started when suddenly he found his childhood buddy talking to the table. Or rather to something under it.
And then suddenly there was his HoH popping up from the other end of their table, like… well like a newborn. But with clothes. Ok that imagery is disturbing. Mayday mayday! Distraction is needed asap!
"Mel say something outrageous NOW." She can always be depended to pull something like that right?
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Hope walked in starving. She looked for Noelle and Sabbie. But she didn't see either one. Maybe they were on the other side of the table. She walked around, tripping over someone's foot.
Boom.
Down on her face she went. Her cheeks red as welll.. Gryffindor colors, she got back up. She was such a clutz. She smooth out her robs and looked down. She was so embarrassed. As she got up she spotted Noelle. She waved and made her way over, but there was no room for her. NOELLE knew alot of people. She saw an empty seat a couple of seats away from Noelle. She grabbed it. Waving to her cousin and the other people around the table.

Watching the sorting was always one of those bittersweet moments. There were there own little victories in adding to their numbers, and then there was the waiting... the dreadful waiting, for it all to be over. It was however, one of his favourite things at Hogwarts, and he couldn't help but recall his own.
... alas, they had a fresh one.
"Welcome to Gryffindor," he welcomed the little ickle, side bumping her a little as a friendly gesture. Like, she was one of the pack now, or pride or whatever it was that Lions had. It was a thing. She was clued in too, asking for food. Smart girl, she'd make it far in this life.
"It won't come until the Headmistress gives her speech." Or was it Headmaster now? He still didn't know who Moxley's replacement was. Was Botros back? Probably not...

Flamsteed out!
........ and some things would never cease to amaze him.
Blinking a couple of times as Flamsteed emerged from... the floor, he salf-returned the man's salute before watching him depart - quickly.
The man was all sorts of weird, but in his own way, things were normal. At least he wouldn't have to feel bad about skipping out on the man's classes now, since he'd dropped the subject for good. His load from the previous year wasn't any lighter, but it would be somewhat more guilt-free.

For a moment, the blond glanced over at the Slytherin table to catch sight of the girlfriend. It didn't take long for him to scout her out. Hady had taken her usual seat at the middle of the snake table, and she was already looking at him. He slowly ran a hand through his hair. Hey, babe, he thought, giving her a dramatic wink and a head nod accompanied with a smoochy face.
His gaze on her didn't last very long, sadly. Duty called ... sort of. Flamstead happened.
The prefect blinked at the grown man who was shouting a warm welcome at them before diving for the floor. What in Merlin's beard was he doing? It was like he had stumbled across a cockatrice or something. Was the professor up to something? If it was, Frankie was down. He liked shenanigans. The boy opened his mouth to say something, but the man was gone before any words could come out. Well then ... bye, Flammy.
No longer distracted by Hady or Flamstead, the Gryffindor caught sight of Noah and gave him a head nod. What was he doing at the lion's table? And that's when the blond overheard the term 'NoahBear' and saw Noelle. Oh. Things seemed quite awkward between them. Should he intervene? No one was crying though, so...
Oh, look! There was Zeke. Perfect. "Sup, broseph?" Please save him from having to watch whatever was going on between Noah and Noelle.
WHAT WAS PROFESSOR AIREY DOING?? On the ground... under the table. Being a nice girl like she was, Dora attempted to pick her feet up in an attempt to let the man pass. Whether that had helped or hindered, she was unsure... heh.
OH and Noelle waved back! Awesomeness! Hey giiiirl!
"Scoot up a bi', won't yeh?" Sam asked as she tried to squeeze into the gap next to Dora. It was bestie time now, yes? She'd nearly interrupted the aforementioned snogging on the train, but had thought better of it and gone elsewhere instead. She hadn't been entirely sure how she felt about it, but all was good now, after a chocolate frog on the train.
As she waited for enough space to be made to sit, Sam grinned and waved at Noelle. Could you tell she was EXCITED to be back? Because she was! Back where there was food and beds and warmth. Back to luxury.
Even if Airey was being kinda weird. "What was yeh 'ead of 'ouse doin' down dere?" She gestured at their legs under the table.
Times like these make Dante glad he was not sorted into Gryffindor and maybe gives a clue why he is more than happy to stay at the slytherin table where hardly anything happens. Anyway he was never one to turn down hugs, just judge them. But nothing to judge here besides whatever Flamsteed was doing. Not really out of the ordinary for him. So Dante was going to ingore his whole go under the table whatever. Back to Kaycee
"I cant wait to see that and i know you will. To think we thought it such the challenge to get into the Prefects Bathroom"
Best term yet. Dante could believe it no nasty exams to take and Hugo and Kaycee were Prefects.
Does Maggie know because i figure she would want to be top of the untouchable list"
He had forgot that Dora was a gryffindor between the end of the train ride and now. So hearing his name called was surprising. He smiled.
Hey Dora."
Sigh now it was filling up. He spotted Zeke and Hady's boyfriend and all the other loud ones. Maybe he should head over to hufflepuff or back ro slytherin.

There was so much happening... and Dora was afraid her meds were wearing off... because everything was hard to follow. Oh man... could they eat and go to bed soon, PLEASE? And then it happened... IT HAPPENED.
Or rather, a lot of things did. One, she spotted a MAN she was CERTAIN did not belong at the school... or he had LIED to her in DA and that was EMBARRASSING for DORA. Zeke got the stink eye from the younger girl and she did a two fingers to the eyes, then back at him motion. She was watching him. WATCHING HIM CLOSELY WITH BIG EYES! And then... she felt her foot connect with Flamsteed's face. OH MAN... was he going to yell at her? OR WORSE, GIVE HER DETENTION?! Dora froze for a few moments, waiting for the aftermath to begin, but it didn't. Oh... cool? Maybe he had gone soft over the summer.
But really it was his own fault he got kicked... "PROFESSOR FLAMSTEED I"M SORRY..." she shouted after the fleeing man... And well she would just have to go visit him, wouldn't she? Mhm.
AND DANTE ACKNOWLEDGED HER EXISTENCE!! This was a great day, it was! Wiggling her fingers at the older boy she smiled and giggled. "I have more stuff to tell you. I'll find you tomorrow." GOSSIP FOR THE WIN! It'll be better than that portrait that tells everyone's business!
BUT NONE OF THE OTHER STUFF MATTERED ANYMORE BECAUSE SAM WAS THERE! HER SAM! Dora immediately shoved over to make some space. Once Sam was seated she slung an arm over her shoulders and pulled her into her side. "I didn't see you on the train AT ALL. Were you hiding from me?" Because after that snog sesh, she had definitely gone looking for her bestie. And well she hadn't exactly planned to be seen doing what she was doing, but it kind of happened, right?

Reason: adding Dante
Truth be told, it was torturing him too, not to just.. grab her hand, and pull her closer, and hug her and convince her to stop crying and simply comfort her. To not be the reason she was crying. Absolute torture.
But he couldn't do anything about that now. He wouldn't.
.......
"Can't lie to me, Noelle." Noah simply said, half under his breath. She was crying. Lying wouldn't change that.
The bag? Grey eyes falling on his school bag, the Diggory boy noticed it shift ever so slightly in his lap and bit his lip. He couldn't actually answer that outloud, not without taking the chance of someone else hearing, and being told to go put him up. So instead of saying anything, Noah undid the zipper even more as he had left it open to begin with, and let Noelle take a peek at the furry little critter inside as the unnamed kneazle kitten stretched and yawned, curling back up inside his cozy makeshift carrier.
Noah kept his bag close, and just barely open for Noelle to see, being careful to close it if he noticed anyone else trying to get a look. When he heard someone say hello, he looked up, and offered a small smile - trying to be polite, but otherwise keeping his mouth shut. It didn't seem she was talking to him, anyway. Taking a glance around the table, Noah looked up just in time to see Frankie looking back at him, and discreetly zipped his bag back up before offering a nod of his head back.

"Terribly sorry about that," he apologized before crawling back under the table and continuing on his way.
Evie had just gotten somewhat comfortable on the bench when she heard a voice carry from somewhere down the table, leaning forward she saw Bec not too far down. The brunette grinned as she realized that Bec was a Gryffindor too, now to just find the others. Oh she hoped that even if they were in different houses they could be friends. She watched as Bec interacted with an older boy that was sitting beside her and waited until she no longer saw them talking "Bec!!" the eleven year old started waving before the other girl could even look up. When suddenly she felt something at her feet, eyes widening she leaned back and peered under the table seeing a man under it. He had to be a professor from the look of it, then all of a sudden he began apologizing before continuing down the table. "It's alright" Evie called out after him. Brow furrowed she was very confused by why this man was under their table.
Her eyes began swooping around the Great Hall again, but still she didn't see anyone that she knew. Peering up at the Dias where it appeared the professors were all sitting she looked over the faces. They sure didn't look mean like the teachers at her last school. Her eyes stopped at the middle chair as she realized that there was a cat sitting in the chair. Perplexed she leaned forward, out into the aisle as she looked the cat over, why was there a cat in the place? To be honest, she really wanted to go up and pet it because she LOVEDDD cats but of course she wasn't going to embarrass herself her first day here.

Noelle shifted in her seat to distract herself and to possibly keep the tears back. She shouldn't be crying right? This was her fault. Now he was telling her not to cry which in turn made her want to do like she'd done so many times and just cry into his shoulder.
But she didn't.
Noelle sat her ground and stayed upright. He wasn't responding to her sorrys which stabbed at her heart. He hadn't forgiven her and she was uncertain he ever would. "i'm not crying." Lie. She looked at the table but could hear him moving things around on the table. He was nervous. And hurt. And a bunch of other things that Noelle could feel just by sitting by him. She knew this because they were Besties. Knew each other. And now...
Noelle took a glance at him moving things and saw the bag in his lap move. She brushed a fallen tear from her pink cheeks and curiousity got the better of her. "Whats in the bag?" She asked before she could stop herself. Oh, what if he ignored that question too??
Then another prescence made itself known. A girl. Younger probably. Noelle brushed another year away. Tears weren't something she liked to do in public. Especially around new people. "H-hi." She said giving the girl a bright smile. It was fake but hopefully it would do its job and make her feel welcome.
Azura looked up at the girl who had said Hello to her and she instantly felt awful for her.. Only because she knew how she felt right now.. Or at least.. she thought she did.
Azura just wanted to cry as well, she wanted to run straight out of those doors and never come back.. She wanted to find her mother.. She just couldn't be dead.. How could her amazingly wonderful Mom, just be gone. The tiny twelve year old could see straight through the fake smile, mainly because the smaller warm one she threw on her face was fake as well.
"Hello." She said with a soft nod as she handed her a handkerchief out of one of her pockets.. It was the least she could do.. "Are you okay?" She asked the other girl softly.. Knowing that it could be a touchy question.. but perhaps she would be all right answering it?
"I'm Azura.." She offered as her dull purple eyes gazed over at the other girl.
Another warm, but fake smile was sent to the boy siting next to the girl the was talking too.. "Hello." She said with a soft wave.

Reason: Adding Noah!
Let your light shine || Be the sun || You're important. Always.
The great hall was getting more crowded as each student entered and started making conversation. Noelle kept her eyes down. She hated crying and knew that Noah didn't like to see her cry either. She could see his fingers twitching and wanted to reach out and grab his hand like she had so many other times before.
But she couldn't.
They weren't friends... At least, Noelle didn't think so. Noah couldn't even properly look at her. And he knew she was crying. Doubly whammy. She took a deep shaky breath though. Crying wasn't going to do any good.
Oh geez. There was Hope. Noelle knew that if she saw her crying, she would come over and more people would crowd her. Instead, Noelle acted as if she hadn't been crying at all and gave her a big smile just as she hd the small girl. She waved at her and invited her over since Hope had moved so far down.
Looking around the Great Hall, she was surprised Sabbie wasn't here yet. Her eyes scavenged the Claw table and saw him. Talking to someone. Oh. She was suprised he wasn't over here. To keep herself distracted though, she looked back down at Noahs bag just as he opened it just enough so she could see. She leaned into him and almost cooed because the kneazle was so adorable. She looked up at Noah and realized she was close from leaning over and sat back up straight. He wasn't talking about it so she figured she shouldn't. She doubt she would get a chance to either. What if this was the last time they talked??
Torture.
A handkerchief was placed in Noelles face and she glanced over at the girl. She looked sad too. She gave the girl a warm smile because that was thoughtful. "Thank you but no thank you. I think I have control now." She wasn't about to elaborate. Too many feelings.
"Im Noelle by the way. And this is my .. This is Noah." Because she didn't know if he was her friend or not anymore. Noelle pointed at Hope across the table. "And that's Hope. Are you new?" Distractions were welcome. That's why she was asking questions.
O.0 Professor Airey? What?? Noelle blinked but was a bit used to the ... Dramatics of the professor so didn't question it further.
Sam plopped down on the bench, and eagerly returned her friend's arm-hug-thing. The train ride had felt like FOREVER not seeing the Gryffindor, so Sam simply shrugged at Dora's comment. "Yeh seemed kinda busy when I came teh find yeh, so I went 'n' found a carriage elsewhere." She gave a crooked smile; she hadn't been hiding, exactly, but she probably hadn't made it the easiest for herself to be found. Especially after she ended up crawling along the floor after Oliver ran off. On the plus side, it was at that point she'd found the escapee chocolate frog.
The great hall was getting more crowded as each student entered and started making conversation. Noelle kept her eyes down. She hated crying and knew that Noah didn't like to see her cry either. Hope waved at noelle, but she could tell that something was wrong. A girl tried to hand her a handkerchief. She knew her cousin, and knew she didn't want the attention when she was feeling down or upset because it made things worse. Hope was the same way.
She noticed Noelle looking down into a guys lap. Hmmm sabbie wouldn't like that too much. She giggled to herself. She knew he was probably showing her something.
She made her way through the sea of people that were talking to Noelle. She squeezed in beside her. hey cuz. How are you? Sorry got separated. Have you seen Sabbie?" before she could answer she spotted sabbie at the ravenclaw table. She waved to him.
Then she was being introduced to a girl. She waved. "hi I'm Hope."

It was that glorious time of the year and Sir Nicholas had worn a particularly large ruff this evening.
"GOOD EVENING, GRYFFINDORS!" he announced as he made his ceremonious entrance up through the middle of the table. "Allow me to extend a personal salutations and welcome to our newly sorted. Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington at your service. Resident ghost of Gryffindor Tower," concluding his brief introduction with a deep waist bow.

"Hello everyone!" She greeted with unmistakable Char!volume.

This was going to be the BEST term.

Noah's eyes were on his kneazle companion as well while he shared that bit of information discreetly with Noelle, so not noticing right away how close they were. Not until she shifted, and he looked back up, surprised to meet her gaze. So close. Uncomfortably close.
There was a point Noah couldn't imagine there being such a thing. Uncomfortably close. Pfft.
Settling the bag on his lap once more, Noah was both grateful Noelle had picked up on not talking about the kneazle at the table, and also for the smaller girl, Azura's, distraction. "Hey," The third year greeted back, rather quietly in comparison to the many loud voices around them. Gryffindors. They were so loud. Before he thought about introducing himself, Noelle took charge and did it for him, tugging at his heart in the process. He simply offered a nod. Noah. Ravenclaw, obviously judging by his robes. Third year. But perhaps she would find that out later, or.. not. Didn't really matter.
Not a lot did.
Noah did his best not to sigh, as someone else came up and squeezed in beside Noelle on her other side. As if this wasn't awkward enough. This time, he recognized her. Hope. The cousin. He would have offered a small smile and wave, or even a hello, but then she said his name. Sabbath. Bloody hell. Curiosity got the best of him as Hope waved to.. someone, and the third year found himself turning to look, annoyance growing just under the surface. Oh, lovely. There was Sabbath, chatting up some girl. Noah rolled his eyes, and turned back to Noelle. "....I'm going to go."
At the same moment those words slipped through his lips, the Diggory boy heard his sister's name being called in the distance. She was next for sorting.

Chewing on her lip because being around Noah was awkward. It had never been awkward. Not once since the first day they met. When she had grabbed him in the candy shop in Diagon Alley before their first year, and pulled him down to hide from her mum. Or even when they got on the first year boats together. And now, she felt this incredible tension between them and Noelle didn't know what to do.
But now Hope was here. Her and Noah had met before. Noelle had been excited about showing off Noah to Hope. She had liked Noah and wanted Hope to meet him. Now, he didn't even say hello. And she understood why. Because she had said Sabbies name and given him a wave. Right in front of Noah. Noelle's face flushed hard and she looked at Noah to make sure he was okay. He wasn't. She could see the annoyance.. Possibly anger ripple under the surface. He even rolled his eyes. Precious NoahBear was not precious right now.
Before Noelle could stop herself, she reached out and touched his arm lightly when he said he was going to go. All she could think about was, this was it. This could be the last time they talked...... And Noelle wasn't ready. Not even in the slightest. Her eyes pleaded before she could say anything. She was about to remind him, 'He promised', her hand still on his arm, when Skylars name was called. Of course Noelle knew who it was. She watched as she went up for her sorting.
She was distracted though and looked at Noah and Hope. Willing them both to stay. Ofcourse, Noah was paying attention to the sorting. Noelle gave a shrug to Hope, almost as if she didn't know how to keep Noah and Sabbie both in her life.
Merlin, what a brilliant start of term feast.
Her hand still rested on him. Holding him there for just a little bit longer.
Melbourne gave a little face when Professor Flamsteed said not now of course…at least he had noticed said gift-thing. She would have to simply adhere it to his desk with the strongest sticking spells known to wizarding kind. Yep.
She was looking about the room slightly perplexed really as to why Hadley wasn’t in her robes…was it because of the dad she had been told about? The same old reason as to why she hadn’t been able to see her friend all summer when she heard it…oh Tenacius was there…”what? Did I know what?” She asked and grinned up at him, “I brought an umbrella for our food…” she told him “so there isn’t any chance that glue or things will fall on it” she informed him with a wicked grin.
"um...I don't know what weird thing to say!" She squeaked out and glanced around. "Oh oh oh I saw Deadpool this summer!" She beamed and then immediately frowned, "and then Finn found out and I was grounded and sent to visit my grandmother for a bit...but c'mon you know her that's like an adventure all on its own!"

"Did yeh 'av a good ride up?"
Did that mean... she had SEEN Dora? Oh man... that was embarrassing. And it made her worry that Sam would be a bit jealous. So she got looks. Looks of concern and apology. "Are you mad at me?" she asked in a small voice, not quite meeting her friend's eyes. Cause like... she and Sam were supposed to sit together on the train after all. Nevermind the boy that Dora was wrapped up with. Sheesh.
"Yeah. I looked for you on the carriages too. Almost missed them waiting for you. Where did you get off to?" Had SAM been snogging someone and forgot about Dora?

HEHEHEHE!! Sir Nicholas!! He always made Dora laugh. Even when he was being all regal and greeting them. "Good evening, Sir Nicholas. How was your summer?" Like... did the ghosts just hang out together at the castle all summer long? DID THEY HAVE PARTIES AND STUFF?! Dora needed the details, but she would interrogate Sir Nick further... at a different time. Heh.
BUT SHE WAS COMING TO QUESTION YOU, NICK! BE PREPARED!!

Charlotte jumped into a seat, squishing herself in amongst friends and apparently not finding ANYTHING out of the ordinary about what was going on around her.
This was going to be the BEST term.
Oh. Charlotte. Dora gave her a small smile and a itty bitty wave... Had SHE gone to Ava's party, too? HAD SHE EXCLUDED DORA ALSO? Probably. And why had she not MENTIONED this when Dora had seen her SO MANY TIMES OVER HOLIDAY?! This made Dora angry? Or sad? SANGRY? Was that a thing? If hangry was a thing, and she knew this to be TRUE, then certainly sangry was too!

See, unlike Frankie and Kaycee, he didn't NEED to be attentive to like, everyone... the only thing he was responsible for right now was filling his stomach. His priorities were great. Frankie's voice however, could not be ignored easily, and so he grinned boyishly at his dormy, happy to put him out of his misery. "Not much," he mused with a light shrug of the shoulder. "You've got a decent group to wrangle this year," and yes, he may have been a little bit delighted in the blond's pain. First years. They were nightmares, time consuming ones too.
"Say, you got any food on you? I'm out." And starving. He was sure his stomach rumbles were sounding out S.O.S as they spoke.

Dora froze for a few moments, waiting for the aftermath to begin, but it didn't. Oh... cool? Maybe he had gone soft over the summer.
It was true he wasn't paying attention to the young ones, really, but he did still have eyes, and they worked perfectly fine. So it was with great amusement that he spied the girly he'd 'assisted' in the Quidditch shop. HA! He knew she looked familiar for a reason. He wasn't at all perturbed by her glaring warning, instead he acknowledged her with a deliberate wink and a slight head nod. We're watching you too, ickley.

Ghostly entrances seldom surprised him now, especially when it came to the first night back, still, he send Sir Nicholas a respectful nod of the head. He'd have thought the ghost looked to be in good health, or whatever, but the man was dead so..... ........ mmmm.

"Nah, yeh 'lright," Sam replied with another small shrug, for the most part reassured by the apologetic look and tone in her friend's voice. The Ravenclaw had certainly felt something when she'd seen her friend snogging that boy, but she wasn't sure if it was jealously or not. She was more just miffed that she had to go find a seat elsewhere when the train was already super full, and then Oliver had got spooked by something and legged it.
"Sorreh I didn't wait feh yeh. Olly went beserk on the train, so I 'eaded off pretteh quick after getting me trunk." Honestly, she figured Dora would be wanting to ride the carriages with snog!boy too. "Got teh stroke me thestral for a bit before coming up to the castle wiff some older students." She smiled. "'n anyways, I's 'ere now."

Sam grinned as the Gryffindor ghost appeared, and a very grand entrance it was too. "Hi, Sir Nicholas!" she greeted with a wave. He didn't mind her visiting her bestie here at the red table, right? "'ope yeh 'ad a nice summer?"
Sabbath had swivelled in his seat at the Ravenclaw table, looking back over his shoulder towards the Gryffindor table. Had Nells and Hope arrived yet? He’d gotten seperated from them after getting off the train when he’d gone to collect his guitar from the cargo hold. He’d filled the time chatting with a new friend, Clara, at the Ravenclaw table as he waited for the girls to make an appearance in the Great Hall. Glancing over his shoulder, he'd spotted Hope, waving at him through the crowd, beckoning him over to the Gryffindor table. He smiled in recognition and returned her wave with a smile, rising to make his way over towards the crimson crowd.

It was then that he clapped his eyes on who she WAS sitting with. The smile that had lit his face in recognition of Noelle, immediately faded from his lips. She was sitting with that schmuck, Noah!! Sabbath muttered some inventive vocabulary to himself in Spanish, and made a beeline straight towards them.
As he walked his eyes narrowed, they were looking awfully cosy together and... was she crying?? He saw her dab at her eyes with a tissue. HOLD IT!!!! WAS THAT HER HAND RESTING ON HIM?
Sabbath saw red.
This guy was too much!!. Sabbath knew he’d been grooming Noelle for ages, taking the pathetic ’sensitive best-friend’ approach to try to get her to open up to him. Well, he’d had enough!!! Marching up behind them both, he slammed his palms into Noah’s back pushing him hard against the side of the Gryffindor table where he sat watching the proceedings. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE PLAYING AT, TRYING TO MOVE IN ON MY GIRL???" he snarled.

Hope smiled as Sabbie made his way over to their table, but then his facial expression went from happy to them to murderous. She followed his line of vision and realized what he was looking at. She tried to stop him. Intercept him, but he was on a mission. Next thing she knew he was pushing Noah and yelling.
Hope jumped up from her seat, grabbing Sabbie's arm. She tried pulling him away a little bit. He was mad as fire so she was having difficulty.
come on sabbie. You need to cool off. She looked over at Noelle and Noah trying to get her to make sure Noah didn't realize reciprocate back.
