| | Gryffindor Game Lounge [ map ] While the Lions' Den may be the focal point of the Gryffindor common room, all the real action happens over here in the game lounge. Sofas and bean bag chairs are strung about the room in a haphazard, but comfortable, manner and off to the left is a large table with enough chairs for eight people to sit. A shelf on the wall above the table is stocked with all sorts of games and activities for curious Gryffindors to utilize. To help the lions take home the Gobstones Cup, there is a Gobstones set to practice with. Just be sure to clean up any of the smelly goo that comes spurting out from the gobs. You can also find a wizards' chess set and Snitch Snatchers on the shelf. If games are not your style, on the opposite side of the room is a grand piano waiting and ready to have its ivories tickled for a sing-along.
While Snitch Snatchers is one way to get your quidditch fix, the real quidditch treat can be found in the middle of the room in the form of a modified muggle foosball table that has been made to look like a quidditch pitch. There are no knobs to move the players around, instead all you need is your wand and to tap one of the figures on the team you wish to control while saying 'GRYFFINROAR' and away you go! As long as you are holding your wand, all you need to do is order the little figures around. Be wary of the tiny golden snitch that will start zooming around on its own accord. The figures will not return to being inanimate until it is caught!
In the back of the lounge you will find a medium sized tray topped with soil, and spray bottles containing brown liquid beside it. It may seem strange, but this is the resting place of the Gryffindor Tower Lion topiary. The Topiary Lion moves around on his own accord, and is responsive to a pat or two. Just remember to spray his roots with fertilizer and water them occasionally when he's on his pan... or else he might wither and die. On the wall behind the topiary is a display case holding dozens of Dandy Lion flowers that will purr, roar softly, and paw at the air with their leaves when you get close. Gryffindor Common Room design is based on the drawings by Whisperwings

| for Erin! <3 ˝ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ˝ Team House Elf He really wasn't sure what he was doing here at the minute, but he didn't mind getting away from the din of the dorms and the central seating area of the common room. Here at least he could hear himself think.
Games had never really been his style, except for gobstones in his first few years of school. Now however, he couldn't sit still long enough to complete one, he needed to be doing more. See now why couldn't they have the bungee out the window set up permanently? That would be a far better way to occupy his free time.
Hands in his pockets, Zeke meandered about the space, pausing in front of the shelves to see if any new INTERESTING games were added to the collection. Sadly, it seemed not. He was temped to grab his broom and head down to the practice pitch, it would beat the silly quidditch games they had here.

In fact she had followed the older boy into the area! Rather stealthily if she might ADD! HA! Standing back near the entrance she just watched him. As Dante would say, she was STARING INTO HIS SOUL! Or trying to at least. Heh. He had lied to her! Or he was an impostor. Whatever the case was, Dora was NOT happy with him. Not even a little bit.
" My friend hated his gift. Thanks to you." She was HAUGHTY. HMPH.

"My friend hated his gift. Thanks to you." She was HAUGHTY. HMPH. Or apparently not...
Zeke turned to face the vessel of the voice he recognised. Hullo girly! He simply grinned at her because LULZ, thanks to him? "No, thanks to you... you're the one that didn't know what to get him in the first place." SO not his fault, see? Never mind the whole HE DIDN'T WORK THERE thing, cause that was another factor all together. "B'sides, good friends don't tell you they hate your gift, they say they love it regardless of what it is... ergo you have a terrible friend."
Case closed? He certainly thought so.

Definitely not.
Dora stepped further into the lounge now, eyes still trained on her prey the older boy. She would have liked nothing more than to stomp his foot right now... or more sensitive areas of his body. But she refrained. For now. Instead, she simply moved near him in a methodical manner. Never going for a direct route, just inching her way NEARER as she seemed to be checking out the various games around the room. Mhm. We don't trust you, Faux Shopkeeper Man.
"Thanks to YOU! I could have bought him a bloody book or something, but I don't know anything about why boys like quidditch or what to buy when it comes to that garbage game. " Her voice wasn't rising. No it was not. NOPE. She was calm and collected. And closer to the boy now.
AND THAT WAS IT! HE INSULTED CASPER GREENWOOD IN HER PRESENCE?! Even if he didn't necessarily KNOW it was for Casper Greenwood, or probably anything about the boy... this was unacceptable. "Take. That. Back. " She paused after each word, fire in her eyes, hand on her wand. She was not above setting his pants on fire if he didn't. And she would TOTALLY get away with it because she was cute and little and knew how to cry on cue. The perKS of having a brother. Hehe.

| ˝ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ˝ Team House Elf ... the girl was weird, like, super.
Did she know how ridiculous she sounded, blaming him? It was NOT his fault, she was the one dim enough to trust the opinion of a stranger. Like... YEAH. He was perfectly trustworthy though. He made for an excellent secret-keeper, and had a solid moral compass - save for his comfort in letting people assume he worked places where he didn't. But... that was nothing int he grand scheme of things. B'sides, he was practically Hogwarts royalty. She SHOULD know him. Everyone should. "Then why didn't you?" Obvious question there. "You asked my opinion, I gave it, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but that's not my problem." Honestly. He never actually SAID he worked there either, so he still had his plausible deniability card up his sleeve.
... and she was touchy too?
It didn't escape his notice that the blonde was closer now, but he wasn't at all perturbed by her presence, if anything, he was amused. "But did he say he hated it?" Because if the dude did, then he wasn't taking it back. BAD FRIEND.

Caledon Roth The Leaky Cauldron | Pet Space Rock Extra Credit - Post 3 Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Fiyero decided it was time to show his new pet rock around Gryffindor tower. "Welcome to Gryffindor, Gastone!" he said enthusiastically. "Other people'll tell you all the houses are equal, but don't listen to them. Everybody knows Gryffindor's the best!"
After showing him around the rest of the common room, Fiyero brought Gastone to the game lounge. "Okay, Gastone, I've saved the best for last. This is the game lounge, the funnest room in Gryffindor tower," he went on. "We've got gobstones, wizards' chess, snitch snatchers... any kind of game you could want!" He indicated the games sitting on the shelf. "And there's the lion," he went on, jerking his head toward the topiary. "But don't worry, Gastone!" he added quickly. "He's not dangerous; actually he's pretty funny." He picked up a bottle of fertilizer and sprayed the topiarary's roots.
