| | |  Gobstones Championship Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors firmly closed against the late Feburary winter chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Mr McLeod and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's championship match.
The red and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Mr. Kitridge walked in with his hands kept firmly down in his coat pockets against the cold late feburary morning air, with Mr. McLeod the school's groundskeeper and together they set up the hall for the fourth match lightening the fireplaces. On the way down from the castle the two had seen that the snow under the trees were slowly melting in perparation for spring.
As the teams assembled Leo put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our Championship game of the season. I hope you're all as pumped up as me and Mr. McLeod are!" Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.
"Let's begin!"

Prefects Penelope Wright and Franklin Paton headed out onto the court with their house shooters ready to kick off the match. The prefect duo swung their shooters and released their stones. The blue stone picked up speed as it rolled around the first series off obstacles. However the next obstacle proved inpassable as the blue stone knocked nose first into it and stopped. The red stone surpassed it's opponent and four more obstacles to claim the first point of the match.
"First point of the championship match goes to Gryffindor!" Leo announced from the sideline.

Penelope remained on the court for the eagles while the lions sent in an unknown student to battle her. The two players swung their shooters, released their stones and kicked them forward in the court. The red stone didn't get past many obstacles before it abruptly stopped and oozed out a big cloud of smelly gob. The blue stone surpassed its opponent and a series of 3 obstacles to claim the points.
"2 points to Ravenclaw!" Leo declared from the sideline a smile escaping his lips. It was hard not to.

Gryffindor switched players as Franklin went out to take up his position with the lion shooter next to Penelope who had stayed for the eagles by the starting line. Franklin seemed to have picked up some sort of luck with his next try with the shooter. He was getting his house's stone closer and closer to the Ravenclaw's stone, and the goal in extension. "3 points to Gryffindor at the end of the first round. Gryffindor leads 4-2 as we head into the second round! Come on both teams!" Leo cheered on.

After a short break two players headed out on the court with their shooters again. For Ravenclaw Penelope Wright was back while Gryffindor sent out and unnamed boy to try his luck with the lion shooter. The duo swung their shooters and released their stones. The red stone rolled a few meters not even up to the first obstacle before it stopped and ooozed out a massive cloud of gob. The blue stone well surpassed its opponent and 7 obstacles before it too stopped.
"The first point of the third round goes to Ravenclaw!" Leo declared from the sideline with a grimace cause of the bad smell in the arena.
