| ^^ ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe His first trip to the Prefects Bathroom had been...overhyped. Rooney hadn't even needed to use the bathroom, but he had been passing by about an hour ago and figured it would be good to test the area out for studying. It wasn't like a bathroom was legally unable to be somewhere to read. People took magazines to the toilet with them all of the time! And Rooney had had a chapter of his French Transfiguration textbook to translate whilst noting the important parts in another notebook. It was all a lengthy process, really.
An hour later, though, and he was in need of his common room and access to the library books that were currently sat on his bed..so he left. Bag over his shoulder, notebook stuffed back into his trousers and Rooney was on the move again.
Back to civilisation and students without badges...
Maybe the quiet bathroom had been a blessing in disguise.

| *lingers for a moment* ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ SEVENTH FLOOR? WAS IT?
The small Slytherin was clearly dying. He might have been young, and fit, but that didn't mean that running up so many flights of stairs was going to be easy. His little lungs were burning from the exertion, and he was panting like a very out of breath little puppy as he half-ran, half-stumbled into the corridor. He took a good long minute or two to try and catch his breath, dropping the shoe next to him as he put his hands on his knees.
He didn't have TIME for this... there was something he had to DO... someone was waiting for him!!! |

He didn't have TIME for this... there was something he had to DO... someone was waiting for him!!! Nicky tried not to give other students much notice, but at the moment, she was propped up against the wall, considering whether she wanted to go up to the dorm or head down to the grounds. She'd been poking around for the prefect's bathroom - she'd heard it was the best in the castle - and having been unsuccessful in gaining access, now had to find something else to do.
So the panting, small thing caught her attention. She eyed the shoe that he dropped and immediately cast her eyes to his feet. One shoe on, one shoe off. Right. "Generally, one puts both shoes on before running."

So the panting, small thing caught her attention. She eyed the shoe that he dropped and immediately cast her eyes to his feet. One shoe on, one shoe off. Right. "Generally, one puts both shoes on before running." This whole 'needing to breathe' thing was the pits. THE PITS, MAN. Every breath made him more consciously aware of the fact that he was taking sooooooo long to get to where he needed to be. To get to who he needed to get to. Jaemin rubbed at one flushed, sweaty cheek and lifted his head just a bit when a voice caught his attention.
He didn't have TIME for shoes. SHOES WERE FOR PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T HAVE TO GET OUT OF HOGWARTS. The boy's dilated eyes flickered down to the shoe, then back to the girl, landing on her face. She was a pretty older girl, but not as pretty as someone else who he totally needed to see like now.
"I don't need shoes. I just need to get out of Hogwarts," he said breathlessly, kicking the shoe away with his dirty-socked toes. "She's waiting for me!"
He looked around feverishly. THIS WAS NOT THE RIGHT FLOOR. He was almost certain of it. With another needy, gasped breath, the Slytherin managed to speak some more.
"Seventh floor?" |

"Seventh floor?" Nicky's ear pricked at the phrase 'out of Hogwarts' and she pushed away from the wall and walked nearer to him. She narrowed her eyes at his franticness and the kicked shoe, though. "Well, whoever she is, I bet she'll think your dirty sock is gross," she said, pointing at the toes. But there were more pressing matters. "But you said out of Hogwarts. How?" She'd heard that some people had snuck out, but she hadn't managed to figure out how they were doing it and didn't have anything other than rumor to go on.
But if this runt could manage it... well, then she could too, right? "You're on five."

But if this runt could manage it... well, then she could too, right? "You're on five." What was she doing. Was she going to try to stop him?! Jaemin backpedaled a few steps when she came nearer, eyes narrowing warily. He didn't have time to quarrel with older students about how he should stay. He really just... had to go.
She would think his... Jaemin looked down at his foot just then, and the realisation blind-sided him. SHE WOULD TOTALLY THINK IT WAS GROSS. OH MY MERLIN. She would be disgusted by it! He hurriedly plunked himself down on the floor and went about pulling the sock off, tossing it after the kicked shoe. He couldn't have that dirty gross sock upsetting her! Not when he was so close to getting to her!
"Professor Flamsteed taught me a gravity spell," he said in a rush, considering his actually-on shoe for a long moment. It could stay, he decided. If she didn't like that, he could get rid of it when he reached her. "He has to know other spells like that that will help me get out of here. I have to go really far."
How far away was France? It had to be quite a long distance. The Slytherin looked up at her, obviously very distressed. "How can it be the fifth floor?!"
And then he went about pushing himself up, prepared to sprint toward the stairs again. TWO MORE WHOLE FLIGHTS. |

This kid was crazy, but Nicky had come to expect that sort of idiocy from the students here. As the sock went flying, she had half a mind to follow him just to see what else he might get up to.
But then he said that name and Nicky had absolutely no desire to interact with that man if she could help it. So, instead, she laughed a bit bitterly. "Yeaaaah, good luck with that."
She browed a little at him, looking so apparently distressed. "Well, five comes after four and before six."

Yes. GOOD LUCK HIM. He didn't need luck because Flamsteed was totally going to help him out, but THANK YOU PRETTY OLDER GIRL.
"I gotta go," he mumbled, turning and dashing toward the steps. He was so close and he just had to GO. |
