Juno raised her hand, "I agree with my sister. Both hands are used in palmistry but they tell different things on each hand and are opposite between left hand dominant and right hand dominant people." Yep. Her sister knew this better than she did so she was going to agree with whatever she said. YEP. |
Arielle raised her hand. "I don't think dominance matters, the left and right hands have their own lines that you're born with, and hand dominance comes after that. But I do think the left hand's lines are for a different reading than the right hand's. You can use both, it just depends what you want to know." Arielle knew her answer was kind of different than the others but she just couldn't see how dominance had anything to do with it. The lines don't change on one hand just because it's dominant.... Lines stay the same. All she hoped at this point was that her answer wasn't too far fetched and the professor could see where she was coming from, even if it was wrong. |
To be honest, Hadley didn't know much about palmistry to begin with. She was about to answer, a guess really, that the dominant hand was the one to use, but the other answers people were giving seemed to suggest, and reinforce that suggestion many times over, that both hands were used. Her peers also seemed more knowledgeable than she was, so Hadley was inclined to believe them. But they'd already answered, and rather than just repeat the answer, Hadley opted not to reply at all. |
To be honest, one of Skylar's favorite things about divination was the fact that they got a little fortune at the start of every lesson. Although she had to admit she was a bit put-out by what her fortune had said today; Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Huh? If this fortune had come at the beginning of the year, it would have made a whole lot more sense. Or if it had come when she was graduating, then okay. But at the conclusion of her first year of Hogwarts, how could that be the start of the rest of her life. Busy sulking over her fortune, by the time Sky had realized Professor Sora had asked a question, it was already answered. Hearing Hattie answer with her answer, well Sky couldn't help but feel pride for her bestie. Yes, dominant hand. That made a whole lot of sense for sure. And well Sky also had to admit that the idea of palmistry felt great cause there was a sense of practicality to it. "The hand we write with." Aka dominant hand, but that was just a different way for Sky to say it, so she wouldn't feel like a complete idiot for being silent. |
The divination professor listened to the students giving their opinion. “Great opinion, everyone.” Though there was like one or two students decided to keep silent but she wouldn’t pay attention to them. “We can do palm reading to both of your hands and the reading results might or might not be different to each other. Your dominant hand, or in palmistry we mention it as active hand, will reveal the individual in their present condition, and also the future possibilites.” She explained to the students. “While the passive hand, or your non-dominant hand, will show the inherited traits of your character and the earlier stages of your life. But today, we’re gonna use the active hand for the reading.” Sora waved her wand to the blackboard and revealed the picture of someone’s hand. “The first thing that we should determine is the major lines.” She pointed to the picture, focusing to the three major lines. “There are three major lines: The life line, to reveal the information about the encounters in your life. Then the heart line, to reveal about your emotional state and the emotional and physical relationship with others. And the last one is the head line. This one reveals mental and psychological makeup, intellectual development and intuitive ability.” “Now, I want you guys to determine the major lines on your own palm. Open your book page 254 to get the meaning of the heart line, life line and the head line. Then please write the results on a parchment.” She instructed the students. OOC: So sorry guys for the super late move on >___< life happens and I have limited connection. As Sora has instructed, your student now should practice the palm reading by determine the major lines. I only need one post for this part. The class will continue... I hope in 24 hours or until further notice. |
So he had been wrong. Though both palms could be read, they were not quite the same. One stood for the present and future possibilities and the other stood for something about the past. He wasn't quite sure what. And he also had already forgotten which was which. But that was not super important at the moment. What he had to do now was look at his palm and study the lines or whatever. He flipped open his textbook. So the one closest to his thumb was the life line. It curved around from the side of his palm and forked slightly into two as it approached the base. It was also pretty thin. Olly wasn't sure quite what that meant. He found the correct page in his book and hoped it didn't mean he was going to die. While he was relieved to find that it did not mean he was going to die, he was a bit offended to find that it apparently meant someone with low energy and having a less adventurous life. What? He didn't like how that sounded. And he certainly did not think he had low energy. Olly frowned as he read more. The book did say something about the fork but he did not comprehend it at all. Something about jupiter and the moon? He had no idea what that meant so he decided to just ignore it and move on to the next line. The next one up was the head line. On his hand, the head and the life line started in the same place but branched out from each other. The head line curved up just a bit then went out across his palm, sloping slightly downward. It was a lot deeper than his life line definitely. But it got thinner pretty quickly before it reached the other end of his palm. He turned to his textbook. The deep line meant excellent memory and concentration. That sounded fake but okay. He was not sure whether to read the description for what sloped meant, because most of the line was straight. But since there was the one pretty prominent slope at the beginning of his line he decided to go for it. Apparently it meant he was open to new ideas, which was so far the best part of his reading. Last but not least was his heart line, which was the top one. He tried to find where his started at the edge of his palm, but he couldn't really find a clear start or end point. It was a pretty short, but also pretty deep, line right across the top of his palm. It was mostly just under his middle two fingers. It started after his pointer and ended before his pinky. Short meant...self centered? And not outgoing? What?? Deep meant stressful life, which did not sound good. Straight and short meant he was not particularly concerned with romance which did seem to be true so far in his short fourteen years of life. The line was also parallel to his head line which meant he was emotionally stable. And there were no branches which meant lack of ability for emotional growth. Though there had been a few positives in his readings, they had been vastly overshadowed by negatives. He did not feel like any of those things were true about him, and he didn't want them to become true. Olly frowned and pushed his book away from him. He placed his hands palm down on the table and rested his head on top of them. "This is stupid," he mumbled. |
Azura paid careful attention to the Professor as she spoke and she turned her hand over to start looking at her own palm.. Hmmm.. So the heart line was the line that ran across her palm.. She looked at it carefully, staring at it for a moment to get a good feel for it before she opened her book and flipped to the Heart line page.. Her purple eyes went wide at all the types of lines and definitions and she was constantly looking back and forth between her hand and her book, to find out what the closest thing to her what her hand looked like.. Hmmm.. All right.. SPOILER!!: Azura's Heart Line notes Uh huhhhh.. All right, That.. was interesting to say the least. She wasn't exactly sure she agreed with it all, but it was nice to know.. Right? Now onto the head line.. SPOILER!!: Azura's head line notes Azura's purple eyes were wide as she looked at that.. Wow.. uhh.. how did it know she was going through all of that.. She was so confused and.. She sighed a bit and bite her lip for a moment before she turned her eyes to the last one.. The life line.. Let's hoped she lived for awhile! SPOILER!!: Azura's Heart line notes Well.. that she was happy with.. She looked at her hand and then back over her notes and smiled.. Mmmm.. yeah she got as close as she could.. |
Ooh. They got to look at the lines on their own palms! That was so cool. Hattie figured she might find it hard, she'd never looked for lines on her palms before, but there was always a first time. So she was really excited! She just hoped that she could find the lines easily. She opened her text book to the right page, and had a quick read through, looking for what the meanings might mean. But then she decided it would be better to just look at what was actually on her palm. So they were using their dominant, active hand. For Hattie that meant her left hand. Fun! She opened her palm, and then carefully began looking for her heart line. She looked between her text book and her hand, making sure she was finding the right line. Ooh there it was! It was kind of long, but in a curved way. That was pretty cool. Hattie looked at the meanings, and wrote them down in her notes. It made her smile, because she believed that meanings matched her quite well SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes And now onto her life line. She concentrated again, looking from her left palm, and back to her book. She wanted to do it perfectly! And then she found it. "Ooh..." She murmured with a smile. That was interesting. Her life line was kind of short. She was a little worried, until she looked up what it meant. "Oh. Thank Merlin." That made her feel a lot better. Smiling, she added the meaning to her notes SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes And finally onto her head line. That one kind of confused her a little, since she didn't get how her head could be on her palm, but she had a go anyway. She concentrated again, as she looked for her head line. It took her a little longer, but she finally found it. Her head line was pretty long, and straight, but there were a few branches coming from it. Smiling, she looked at the meanings, and then began to write them down on her parchment. SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes Smiling, hattie read over her notes, before looking up. That had been fun. She was excited to see what was next though! |
SNORT. It was hard to keep from giggling as Juno basically went along with what she had been saying. Well, Esme was good with Divination so it was more than understandable; in the same way she trusted her sister's knowledge with Defence Against the Dark Arts. Though of course she was getting better with the subject. No surprise when it was revealed that they would be working out their major lines. Esme had already done that when she read up about palmistry originally but that wasn't going to stop her from doing it again. Honestly she wasn't sure if she could remember what her results were specifically. It HAD been a while ago after all. At any rate she opened her textbook to the correct page before turning her attention to her right hand since that was her dominant one. First things first she was going to take a look at her heart line which describes her emotional state as well as her relationships with others on an emotional and physical level. It didn't take long to locate, branching from underneath her index finger and towards her pinky. That was normal. The line was clear and deep, long, and curved. Making note of her observations, she looked up what they meant in the textbook before recording it into her notes: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Huh. That was quite accurate - minus the belief in perfect relationships. Esme never had a boyfriend before let alone kissed anyone, but she was not silly enough to think that there was such a thing as a PERFECT relationship. Even one that was healthy and loving wasn't PERFECT. She liked to think that her parents' marriage was as close as a person could get to perfect, however. It was the kind of relationship that she wanted to have when she started dating though of course her father wouldn't be pleased when that day came... Shaking her head at that thought, she moved on to the next line which was her life line. This would describe the various encounters in her life, her relationships, health, and emotional as well as physical well-being. Important stuff but then there was a reason why these were called the MAJOR lines. Finding it located from between her thumb and index finger, curving down to connect to her wrist, Esme made note of its appearance. It was a double line and she smiled to herself as she read the meaning. Still smiling, she recorded the information into her notes under what she had written for her heart line: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Well, Esme sure wasn't living a double life though she DID sometimes trade places with her sister because they were identical minus a very slight height difference that people usually didn't even notice. It was fun but definitely not a double life. Most importantly she did feel that she had a lot of positive energy in her life as well as stamina. So that was pretty correct. Even the fact that she was a twin was covered! Pretty darn awesome in her books. There was one line left to do and that was her head line. This described her intellectual development, intuitive abilities, as well as her mental and psychological make up. Basically it was all about wisdom. Located just over her life line, she noted how it ran across her palm horizontally. It was deep and sloping and she observed some branches. After looking up what this meant in the textbook, she added the information to her notes: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Well, she liked to think that she was sensible and her memory was pretty good for the most part. There wasn't too much that Esme could disagree with here; in fact she felt that it described her pretty well. She WAS an idealist and creative and liked to see the best in people whenever possible. All and all she felt that this was an accurate reading and was rather pleased with it. |
Sora wandered around the classroom to see how the students did their major line reading. So far they did good which means they understood about this. “Alright, guys. Once you have finished with major line, we’re gonna continue with finding the minor lines and the mount shape. Please open page 257 on your textbook.” She instructed. “Unlike major lines, the minor ones sometimes can be very faint or even may not be apparent and it’s very common if your hand doesn’t have minor lines.” The divination professor explained to the students. “There are six minor lines that are very common to be found.” She waved her wand to the board. Quote:
OOC: As Sora has instructed above, on the next post you guys have to determine the minor lines and the mounts. One solid post is enough for me. Activity catch-up is allowed, just don’t forget to put it on the title  Due to the limited connection, the class will be continued until further notice but I'll try it will be in 24 hours-ish (this also depends on how many students involved in this activity.) |
Catching up ;) and new part Juno didn't know much about this but she was going to give a good try. She studied her hand and each line, deeply, making sure that she had everything on there that she thought she saw. This is what she came up with: SPOILER!!: Notes There were a lot of things she could see in there that were definitely true about herself. It was interesting that her hand lines pointed out that she was quick-tempered and a twin. But she definitely wasn't naive about perfect relationships. No relationship was perfect...though her parents was close to perfect and totally what she wished to have one day. Now they were adding Minor Lines and Mounts. Juno searched her hand thoroughly and found that she had the Apollo Line and discovered that she had four unbroken and clean Bracelet Lines! At least she thought there were four. Now she looked at each of the mounts. The Mount of the Sun or Apollo was normally elevated, which meant she was outgoing and flexible to change. The Mount of the Moon was flat which could mean a lot of things, but knowing herself meant that she was a person who preferred to be home, had a good imagination but mostly kept it to herself, and she was often deep into her own thoughts. Now looking at the Mounts of Mars; her Upper mount was normally elevated on her hand, which meant that she had strength, was courageous, well balanced, and healthy. Her lower mount...well....was slightly overdeveloped, which to her signified her quick temper because she knew she wasn't any of the other things....though maybe slightly egotistical and argumentative but never over indulgent. Except maybe with boots. Yeah. Boots. Her Plane of Mars had a dip in it which meant she had a calm and patient temperament. Her personality was so mixed up. O_O Now looking at the Mount of Mercury; she had a normally elevated mount which meant that she had many interests, was flexible, could read people well, and is very good at communicating. Mount of Jupiter: she had a normally elevated mount which meant that she had divine aspects, was spiritually strong, not self-centered, has no problem helping others, has a pleasant look, and a positive attitude. Now looking at the Mount of Saturn; she had a normally elevated mount here as well, which meant that she was friendly, independent, and believed that things happened as they should. Mount of Venus: this was, of course, normally elevated as well, which meant that she was attractive, healthy, who is passionate about art and the finer things in life, well respected, influential, and enjoys the benefits of a true friendship. Holy Voldy! That was a lot to write down! But she had gotten through it and really hoped a lot of this were true. Maybe her hand was lying to her.... |
Hattie concentrated as she listened to the professor. She wanted to make sure that she was listening properly. She wanted to understand everything that was being said, because she wanted to be good at what they were going to do. She also didn't want to make any mistakes. She made small notes as the Professor talked, hopefully this would allow her to do well in the next activity Now it was time to find her own minor lines. She knew this was going to be a little harder, but she was determined to give it a good look. She turned her hand over, so that she was looking at her right palm. She glanced between her hand and her text book, so that she would know she was looking for the right thing. At first she couldn't see anything. Did that mean that she didn't have any minor lines. Oh. She remembered that the Professor had said some people didn't have any. She still concentrated, as she looked at her palm. "Oooh. I found one!" She murmured with a big smile. It was the apollo line, just a straightish line down her hand. She was glad that she had found one. She knew she should move onto the seven mounts now, so she decided to have a look for more minor lines later. She quickly wrote down what the apollo line meant before she moved on SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes and now she could move onto looking at the seven mounts on her hand. Hopefully this would be a little easier. She looked around her left palm again, trying to find the raised bumps and mounds that were on her hand. She was careful not to mistake a random cut as a bump, as she knew that wasn't right. Ooh. She had found the mount of Apollo. It was just located just under her ring finger. She looked into her textbook, so that she could find the reading. Now she moved on to trying to find another bump that was raised on her hand. Ooh! And there was the moon mount located just by her wrist. She smiled, and wrote down the two meanings in her notes SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes Putting her quill down, she went on to find the remaining five mounts. She first found mars, located near her thumb. Ooh. That one was raised a little. She made a special note to see what that meant when she wrote down the meaning. She quickly moved on to finding the other mounts, and then worked on adding them to her notes. Soon she had all seven wrote down on her piece of parchment. Yaay! That was fun. She had enjoyed that SPOILER!!: Hattie's notes and she was done. That was a lot of writing. But she was happy. It was all really interested. Hattie decided she liked the venus meaning the most. She loved her friends, so it appealed to her a lot. Putting her quill down she smiled, she hoped she had gotten it right. |
Catch up and current activity! YAYYY palm reading! Scarlett had dabbled in this just a bit on her own (it was one of the perks of having a former Professor as a dad, he still had all his old books and reference stuff) but she couldn't remember anything she'd actually deciphered from it. She flipped over her book and then turned her right hand over since that was her dominant one. Time to begin.... Her heart line was kind of curved, but not SUPER curved, and fairly prominent. She wouldn't say it was the most prominent line, though. It curved upwards as well, which meant...something. She looked up all the meanings, and once she was sure she had a good idea of the interpretation, she copied down the meanings in her notes. SPOILER!!: Heart line notes Now for the life line. Using her book, she located it on her hand and started to interpret it. It was short and deep (thank goodness the book said the whole 'short line short life' thing was a myth! Scarlett had been worried for a second!) That was pretty much the gist of that one, so she scribbled that down in her notes as well. SPOILER!!: Life line notes Finally, it was time for the head line. She flipped through her book and then stared at her hand. Ok, there it was...and it was kind of wavy. Huh, that definition like TOTALLY contradicted all the other stuff she'd looked at! It was also sort of faint, which meant she was a daydreamer. Ok, she KIND of got that. Still, she liked the other lines better... SPOILER!!: Head Line notes She chose to not even include the untrustworthy bit because there was NO WAY that part was true. Pssh. Stupid book. Just as she finished her notes, Yoon had moved on. Minor lines and mounts...that sounded easy enough. First the minor lines...she looked at her palm, then back at the book, then back at her palm. It was hard to tell if these were truly minor lines on her hand or if she actually had two life lines. Nah, that had to be a fate line. She also had a bit of an Apollo line, and DEFINITELY some bracelet lines. Two, to be exact. SPOILER!!: minor line notes And now, finally, time for the mounts. This was harder, as Scarlett didn't really think she had any little bumps or anything on her palm. She stared for a while before determining that she likely had a Jupiter mount, Mercury mount, and Venus mount. She looked up each meaning and then jotted down her interpretations in her notes. SPOILER!!: Mount notes PHEW that was a LOT of writing. Now her hand hurt! |
Catchup & new activity Fiyero opened his book to the page that showed the meanings of the major lines and was immediately confused. so many possibilities... how was he supposed to pick the right one? This was going to be a lot harder than he thought! He took a deep breath as he tried to riddle it out. Professor Yoon hadn't told them which hand to start with, so he supposed it didn't matter. He decided to start with his dominant hand. Makes sense, right? Turning his right hand over, he concentrated first on his heart line. It was long, sort of curvy, red and dark. So that meant... warmth, sensitivity, intuition, and a quick temper. He laughed a little; that sounded a lot like him, especially that last one! Text Cut: Heart line notes After jotting down his findings, Fiyero moved on to the head line. He was surprised to see how short it was. Did that mean he was dumb or something? He looked at his book. So a short head line meant he was practical and non-complex. Oh, okay! That sounded a lot better! There were a lot of what looked like little Xs there too. He soon found out that mean life-changing decisions... he wasn't sure if he liked the sound of that. Picking up his quill, he recorded this in his notes: Text Cut: Head line notes Now it was time to move on to the life line. Glancing at his hand again, he saw that his life line was long and deep, which meant good health and stamina. Well, that's accurate, he thought. But there was something unusual about his life line, too. It was broken almost in half. Whoa, did that mean he was going to die young and be reincarnated as a dragon or something? he consulted his book. No such luck... Text Cut: Life line notes Fiyero was still trying to figure out what that "unexpected change" might be when Professor Yoon started speaking again. Oh well, there was no time to think about it now; they were moving on to the next part of the activity. Reading the minor lines turned out to be even more complicated than reading the major ones! Was he supposed to have all of those lines Professor Yoon wrote on the board? Because he was pretty sure he didn't... He found a fate line, which he read could mean controlling family members. He laughed out loud; that was a huge understatement! Just ask anyone who knew his grandmother! He also saw he had a defined Apollo line, which meant creativity and self-confidence (no surprises there!) and not one, not, two, but three bracelet lines. So that meant... good health, financial prosperity, and influence in the community. Awesome! He wrote down his findings: Text Cut: Minor line notes Fiyero was almost done! Now all he had left to read were the mounts. He stared intently at his hand. Once again, he didn't think he had all of them. Was that normal? So he definitely had mount of the sun, moon, Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter... but he wasn't sure about the other two. Oh well, he supposed having five out of seven wasn't too bad! Text Cut: Mount notes Once he'd finally finshed writing that down, he dropped his quill, flexing his hand a few times to keep it from cramping. Merlin's beard, that was a lot of writing! Were they done now? |
Azura looked down at her palm as Professor Yoon started to talk about minor lines and Mounts.. She scanned her palm, looking down at the text book and then back at her hand to see if she had any of them.. Uhhh...Hmmm.. She might have a few? She squinted more at her hand and then back at the book.. All right, so that might be uhh.. Ohhh, that looked like she had the Fate line, she started to read in her book what that meant. SPOILER!!: Azura's notes on the Fate line Hmmm, well that was super interesting... Azura had double fate lines on her hand.. did that mean that perhaps.. she might be famous? She hoped it was for piano! Or maybe even for composing? The teen bit her lip a little as she looked down at her hands.. Maybe.. healing wasn't for her? Maybe a career in music was? She contemplated this for a moment before.. seeing what other lines were on her palm.. Oh yeah.. there were the Bracelet lines.. SPOILER!!: Azura's notes on the Bracelet lines.. Hmmmm, well she could handle that.. She would work hard and end up well? She'd take it.. Now onto the Mounts and what they meant.. Azura looked over at her book and then back down at the paper and started to scribble. SPOILER!!: Azura's notes on the Mounts Azura smiled as she looked down at her palm and saw that she had a well defined Mount of Luna.. That made sense.. It WAS her middle name after all, and she DID play the piano.. How cool was that? |
No surprise to discover that they were moving on to the minor lines and mounts since they also played their part in palmistry. Glancing at her palm, Esme moved her hand around in various angles as she tried to discover which minor lines she might have. Of course she already knew that some of them might not be present; that was common and nothing to be concerned about really. Okay... so looking at the area by her wrist she determined that there seemed to be four Bracelet lines; three were solid and defined but the first one was chained. This made her smile because she could remember reading that four of these lines meant that the person would live to be close to 100 years old. Hopefully Juno had the same thing on her palm and that hers were mostly solid and unbroken as well. She didn't want to imagine living without her sister because even though they had very different personalities they were best friends and loved each other very much. Smiling, she added her discovery to her notes: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Not too bad in her book! Nothing wrong with doing hard work to get what you want in life; Esme believed that you got out of life what you put in it and that there was no such thing as a free ride in life. Well, some people came pretty darn close to it but she was not like that. Anyway, moving on to other minor lines that might be contained on her palm... Okay, there was an Apollo Line. It wasn't continuous but then that was no surprise to her since there was no such thing as a life free of difficulties. Challenges were a part of life and it was important to overcome them and not let them weigh you down. All and all she felt that this line described her rather well. Turning her attention back to her notes she added the information: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Right by her Apollo Line was another one. That was the Fate Line which was also known as the Line of Destiny. There were some breaks in the line, But Esme figured that was tied in to the fact that there were challenges that one must face in order to pull through and that she still COULD and WOULD become successful. It was silly to think that some hard luck meant that a person couldn't end up being lucky in the end. Her findings were added beneath her notes on the Apollo Line: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes Finished with her minor lines, Esme was ready to move on to the mounts. This part was rather interesting to her because it related to planetary influences and that was something that she found to be rather fascinating but then she did enjoy a lot of the different forms of divination. Still smiling, she turned her hand at different angles so that it would be easier for her to see the mounts on her palm. Okay... there was Venus and it was normally elevated as was Apollo, Mercury, Luna, Jupiter, and Saturn. Her Upper and Lower Mars were both normal as well though her Plane of Mars had a slight dip in it. Basically she had a lot of normal mounts and one with a dip in it. Guess that meant she wasn't really one for extremes which DID make a lot of sense to her... Shrugging, she made sure to write everything down: SPOILER!!: Esme's Notes All and all Esme felt that her results fit her as a person. |
catch up & main activity Mel had been quiet most of the class…still now she had to do this. She had to look at her left hand and figure out what all the marks and lines really meant. Looking at her hand brushed her finger against the lines and markings on her palm as she tried to make out what they meant. Taking out a piece of parchment she began to mark down the information she had gathered from looking at her textbook. SPOILER!!: lots and lots of notes With all of the lines and mounts examined Mel simply finished writing down her finding in her notes and glanced around the room. It was calming really, everyone looking at their own hands and determining what they saw…wait, wouldn’t it be kind of fun to see if classmates thought they saw the same things? After all…it wasn’t like they were being impartial now were they? |
Class is over ^_____^ thanks for attending Sora watched the students doing the palm reading. So far, there was no questions from them and it was good. That means the students had understood the palmistry, right? Looking at her watch, she realized that the time's up already. Wow, look how fast it went. "Unfortunately the time is over, guys!" The divination professor announced to the whole class. "Please hand your reading results to me before you leave, and thank you so much for attending the class." OOC: first of all, thank you very much for attending this class and jump in to the activity guys! And I'm so sorry for the class has moved very slowly. For those who still want to finish/do the activity I STILL GIVE YOU TIME FOR 24 HOURS FROM THIS POST before I locked the thread.Just don't forget to put catch up on the title  |
Whoa, time was up all ready? Azura blinked a little as she looked up from her notes and looked up at the Professor. She put her book into her book back and put her quill away as well. She rolled up her notes and stood up and placed them on Professor Yoons desk. "Have a good day. " Az said with a smile as she head out of the classroom and back towards her dorm |
catching up || sorry he is so confuzzled lol See there is a reason why palm reading, no matter how many times the Curly Top encountered it with his grandma, never made any sense to him. He looked at his palms and again sees nothing but curving lines and sometimes straight lines and faint lines and.......yeah his eyes started to glaze over. He opened his book and just stared. Yep it’s a written form of the confusing session his grandma loves so much. And he was supposed to do this by himself? Oh well, it don’t hurt to take a crack at it yeah? Maybe have some fun with it? Professor didn’t ask for their palm print anyways.... Quote:

Now the rest of the other lines-- Fate, Apollo etc, Tenacius had a hard time trying to decipher. It seemed to him that his Fate line looks to be pretty solid with a few breaks, and so does his Apollo lines. Then again he wasn’t sure if he was looking at this correctly-- for one thing theres a double line of something and he wasnt sure if that belonged to the Fate or the Apollo lines. But just as he seems to have a duplicate of lines he also seems to be missing a third Bracelet line. What does that mean then?? Also there is no Girdle of Venus. And his Relationship line was so faint it was hard to tell if it was even there. Yeah this is kinda the part where he'd have dozed off at those tea sessions. The mounts was another challenge he couldn’t make heads or tails off. How does one say if its well defined to over defined to under defined?? They all seem pretty normal to him. But what if its actually under defined or over defined? What was the standard? Because as far as he could tell, his palms were fleshy type normal. He had a square hand though, as compared to his other classmates who he noticed had more elongated hands. Did that mean anything?? His blue green eyes looked up, glazed and just confused. This is why he couldn’t last in those palm reading sessions his grandma was so fond of. But then the Professor said it was time to go, and he was quite thankful for it. He now had a headache an a creak in the neck from having to stare at his books and his palms for so long. Hurriedly he shoved his things into his bag, waved the Divination Professor goodbye and headed straight for the kitchens. All that confusion made him hungreh! |
That was quick! Juno quickly finished up her notes making sure to put her name, date, house, and year at the very top. She then quietly packed up all of her stuff not wanting to disturb the other students around her. She rolled her parchment up in one hand and slung her bag over her shoulder with the other and then headed towards the professor. "Here you go, Professor Yoon! Thanks for another great class." She gave a small smile and a wave and headed out the door. |
The lesson was over already? Even though Esme knew that there was only so much that they could do with palmistry in a lesson she didn't want it to end so soon. This was her favourite class and she was loving it more than ever right now after the disaster that had been the Hag. Anyone was a better replacement of the old bat, but Professor Yoon was actually nice and Esme liked her. Oh well, they would have another lesson soon and she could look forward to that! After writing down her information on the top left side of her notes she packed up her stuff. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor! Have a good rest of your day," she said as she handed in her work before following her sister out the door. |
