This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
OOC: This duel must be completed by the 3rd of July by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.

If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.

After her first duel Hadleigh Lynch had been a little bit weary about checking the roaster to see whom she would be up against this time around. It had actually taken her around two days before she was able to walk over and take a quick look, instant relief washed over the girl upon seeing the name. Henric Nicolei. A seventh year. One she knew though. Now she wasn't on best friends terms with him no but she did know him rather well over the years and maybe she didn't know his full dueling style but she did know one very important thing. Henric would not purposely aim to harm her in anyway like her previous partner had done. This was sure to be a good duel but a very fair one.
Fixing the ponytail in her hair, she smoothed some stray hairs down with her left hand, wand being held firmly in her right. "Hello Henric," Hady greeted with a light grin rather then her blank look she usually had. Giving a proper bow towards him she then took several steps backwards never taking her eyes off the older boys face. She would be paying complete attention this time around as always but her guard was most certainly higher then ever.
"Obscuro!," she called out casting her first charm in Henric's direction quickly following it up with a much more softly spoken, "Rictusempra." Simple spells really but this was her way of getting to see how he would follow up. His reaction to these would help her determine what came next.

He would be dueling against Hady? Huh... interesting. Not long ago, he was up against her boyfriend...or ...ex-boyfriend? No idea, he was never quite up to date with their current relationship. During their last match, he felt like the guy had some personal vendetta towards him or something. Although Henric came out as the victor, he didn't gloat about it like Zeke. That other Gryffindor however was an entirely different matter ...he had a score to settle with Browne. He would need to win this match so he could advance to the next stage. Sorry Hady...as much as he didn't want to do this, he needed to win this match. But of course, he wouldn't do anything to hurt her. No way, Adi would have his head on the platter.
Henric respectfully bowed and smiled back at Hady,"Hello to you too, good luck." He winked. Soon Hady cast her first offensive spell. As if by instinct, he ducked quickly. Phew. Again, he was sharp with every movement she took. He was certainly not going to be blindfolded while he was trying to defend himself.
"Protego!" he shot back her second spell towards her direction. How do you like that Hady?! Also, he was in a mood for some pumpkin. Everyone should know by now, how addicted he was with this particular fruit. Let the pumpkin fall down onto her head! "MELOFORS!"

Aaww, well wasn't that sweet of him. Wishing her good luck like that when he was the one that would be needing it. Just because he was a friend and older didn't mean she would be going completely on him here. She wanted this win, needed it. In no way would she aim to harm him but she would be aiming to win.
"Good luck to you too," she replied with her typical Slytherin Hady grin just before casting her spells. Seeing how quickly the Hufflepuff ducked was a start. Not to mention how quick he tossed up the shield sending the cha- Gah!
"Protego!" she shouted quickly throwing up her own shield just in time the spell fully hitting her shield. There would be sight for her today thank you very much! Her shield had barely dropped before another spell was shot her way causing her to jump to the side to avoid it. No she wasn't at all hungry. In fact pumpkin flavored things weren't even all that high up on her list. Everyone knew she much preferred coffee.
Oh. Flowers too. She liked those a lot but first the room could use a little bit of...color. 'Purple Firecrackers' was cast just far enough away from Henric to be of a distraction but not cause injury. It was then followed up by "Herbifors" because well the girl wanted to know if her friend liked flowers too.

The man had felt slightly bad for Miss Lynch after her previous duel. Sure, she was okay now - at least, he hoped - but there were aspects of that duel that she didn't need to have gone through. The fire, for example, being a huge part of that.
Still, this was a new day and a new duel and he certainly hoped there wasn't going to be any animosity between this pairing. The Head Boy was nice, as far as Hirsch knew, and he even proved it by wishing his opponent good luck at the beginning of the duel. The duel took off, with an interesting use of spells at first. How many people liked using the pumpkin spell? Was this going to become another signature move?
And then time had done that funny thing where it sped by too quickly for his liking. As the time for this duel passed, he struck up the shield, saving Mr Nicolei from being hit by firecrackers and flowers, it seemed. You're welcome, Head Boy. "Well done, both of you," he said, stepping out from his corner and smiling at both of them, "I have to say, that was a very close duel" Almost too close to determine the winner. "but, Mr Nicolei, you've taken the title for this round. Congratulations!"
