Okay good! Hady was in agreement on being blindfolded which really only made sense ... Cause Sky wouldn't have been able to read her notes. "I'm fine with leading the way." Sky nodded for one of the last times that Hady might be able to see her for the next few moments or however long this might take. She would have offered her to hold her hand but she was pretty sure that handholding was not allowed.

"Alright, if you're all set, then we will take three steps forward and then step up once." Sky instructed carefully as she led the way. "And then it looks like a turn to the left and well be careful cause you'll need to probably feel it out with the toe of your shoe cause there is a tire right there when we turn left. So toe it out and step on it to leverage yourself over..." And if she survived those instructions then she was doing good. Now just to keep an eye for those pods for them; was she supposed to instruct Hady on picking them up? Probably and then have Hady smell them to make sure they smelled of roses...

Hopefully Haddie didn't mind being the eyes during the activity. Of course Esme would have been fine with either role and quite frankly it didn't matter TOO much either way since she was sure that they were going to do a good job no matter who did what. Nodding, she turned around and waited for the blindfold to be placed over her head. Everything became dark as was expected. "Perfect." Despite not being able to see anything she was feeling pretty comfortable. Fingers crossed she wouldn't bump into too many things.

Time for them to get started.

"Ready," she said as she let herself be guided to the entrance of the course. From this point on she was going to do everything with no guidance beyond Haddie's instructions. Esme started walking forward when told to, waiting for the indication that she was to take two steps to the left. When that came, she nodded and did as she had been told. One step and then another.

Now what?

Fine be that way Draper. Dante took the blindfold and walked towards the course. He was going to cheat of course. Since well it was impossible to do it on your own and not cheat. Since every second he would be back to the beginning from touching something. Seemed like the only thing they were allowed to touch was the ground and the rose pod things.

Since he had no partner to tattle on him. He put the blindfold on and stepped in. He did not put it completely over his eyes. So he could see just enough to know where he was going on where to avoid hitting into this.

Take That Draper!

Fiyero stood beside Hattie at the start of the obstacle course as she put the blindfold on. He waved a hand in front of her eyes, just to make sure the blindfold was doing its job. No peeking? Okay, good. "Alright, we'll take this nice and slow," he said. "Just follow the sound of my voice."

He walked a few paces ahead of her to scout out the obstacles. "Okay, walk straight ahead," Fiyero directed. He went a little farther. "Keep coming. You're doing great!" Then he came to the first obstacle which looked like a long tunnel. "Okay, stop." He peered down the tunnel and saw a pod at the other side. "The first obstacle is a tunnel; you're going to have to crawl through it."

Fiyero positioned himself at the other end of the tunnel and called back to Hattie, "Get on your hands and knees and crawl forward. There'll be a pod on the other side. Can you smell it yet?"

Vivian was beaming at Genny too, because the activity was more like a GAME and games are aalllwaaaaysss equal to fun fun fun! The Slytherin jusr couldn't contain all her excitement in one tiny eleven year old body so yeah, she was bouncing a lot. Also, it was with a partner and that was cool and Merlin, this couldn't get any better! Even the blindfolded part sounded good, really.

"Uhm, I'm actually good with any! But I wouldn't really trust myself to give instructions, though." She remember that incident with her little sister. Terrible. Never again! "Would it be okay if I were to be blindfolded?" Everyone probably wanted to be, but NOPE to Vivian giving instructions because they would fail miserably there.

Looking over at the obstacle course now seemed so easy peasy to him, but that’s because he has his sight. To someone blindfolded it can get tricky. All the more reason why he should get the directions right yeah? Suddenly he felt a tremendous sense of responsibility with Azura's welfare. If she screws up its gonna feel like its his fault.

Yeah no messing about GryffinClaw.

"Yup you're over it." the Curly Top confirmed with a nod of his head. He didn’t know why he had to nod its not like she could see it. He turned his head to look at the next obstacle "Okay next up are the tires obstacle. Its five paces away." He began counting as he started to move forward. "Five pairs of tires on the ground. Tires are about half a foot thick, regular car tire stuff." then he started counting as he began to hop-step through the tires, stopping midway to look over at Azura if she has gotten her foot through at least the first pair of tires....

Good, good. Jaemin nodded absently when she agreed to partner with him, eyes straying to the course as others made their way toward it. They could do this... it wouldn't be too difficult. As long as they were clear about what they needed to do... the small Slytherin looked at Kitty, giving her a lopsided smile.

"I can do the blindfold part. If you think you can do a good job of directing me, it won't be a problem." He didn't want to be responsible for her falling down or getting stuck on something. Less responsibility for him, thank you. Without waiting, he went off to get a blindfold, hurrying back to her. The less time this took, the better.

Azura was waiting patiently for Tenacius to speak and lead her along and she smiled as he said she had made it over the first obstacle. Okay! So far so good. She took a deep breath as she tried to calm down, obstacle courses were bad for her when she could see, but blindfolded?

She felt like a duck out of water..

Thankfully her lifeline came in the form of Tenacius's voice as he explained the next obstacle..

Car tires.. Right! She could totally do this. She walked five paces forwards and then put her foot out to feel where the first fire was!

Ahh! It was right there.. She could hear her partner jingling as he hopped through the tires and she lifted her foot and put it in the middle of the first tire!

"All right! Found them, I'm going to walk through them now. "

Five pairs of tires, okay, so ten steps, well nine now..

She carefully moved her left foot to where the next one should beans kicked around a bit.. Yup. Got that one..

She repeated this over and Over again, carefully but able to do it!

Okay this is looking good! Tenacius completed the rest of the tire obstacle course, coins jingling and huffing a bit "Alright I've cleared out the tires." that way Az would know she can move about freely.

"Next up are flag poles, another 5 paces away-- we gotta weave in and out of it....." oh wait a minute.....what is this? " Wait theres something stuck to them....." If Azura wanted to come forward she can.

Tenacius had a closer peek at one of the flag poles and realized "Az it’s the pods!" he bounced on his feet excitedly "They're stuck on the flagpoles-- like......at face level." so she knows where they are. So which ones were the rose scented one? Eh he couldn’t tell, so he just grabbed the first one and flipped it open--

"Urrrk!--" he nearly got all sicky there. "Definitely not this pod..." he coughed and huffed the disgusting dung scent out of his lungs. "Theres like.......ten flagpoles with the pods stuck onto them." there may be more pods through out the course, but right now this was like the holy grail to him and he wanted to check them out. "I'm gonna try the fifth one down there..." he informed the Ravenclaw brunette and began weaving in and out of the flagpoles...

Azura smiled as she cleared some more tired and heard Tenacius speak that he has cleared them out! "Thank you!" The Raven haired girl called as she moved forward and started to make her way toward the sound of his voice.

Flag polls?

She started to walk five paces again when he started to speak again!

Oh!! He found the pods!

"Hooray! Go Tenacius!" She said with a smile as she noticed the use of her nickname. That was adorable. He sounded so happy! She moved forward again Until she felt the metal on the flag pole and then felt up it to find the pods!

She was about to open one up when she heard his huff of disgust and she made a face.. "Not a rose scented pod?" She guessed as she moved to the next pole.. And moved for the pod..

She fumbled around with it.. But her improved sense of smell could already tell it wasn't a good one.. So she moved to the next..

Ohh.. "Hey! I think I found a rose scented pod. " She said as she pulled at the pod..

He didn’t have Azura's heightened senses, plus Gryffindor haste so he just popped open the pod on the 5th flagpole. Hello Hippogriff dung!. He coughed and fought off the retching again. Ewwwww what is with his luck?

Azura though had it better than he did. He turned his curly head at the sound of her discovery "You found one? YAAAASS!!" stupid dancy dance. Good thing she cant see. "Go pocket that Az, and skip the fifth flagpole that pod's bad."

Tenacius went through the last two flagpoles with their pods-- again the delectable essence of dung hit his nostrils. Cough cough cough don’t retch! "Last two flagpoles got it bad too Az...." he swung his hands in front of his face. Gah he needs to clear outta here because he can feel his tummy start to churn.

He set his gaze on the next obstacle-- oh look more pods that he can see from here! "Az, theres a bridge about 10 paces away." he called out as he waited for the brunette to make her way through the flagpoles. "Bridge isnt very wide, maybe about an arm's width across, and its got hand rails on both sides, so that will really help you out." since this is the part where he's anxious if he might need to help her but cant. So far all their obstacles were on solid ground.

"The bridge has a ramp going up, no stairs...." thank goodness, it wouldve been a nightmare trying to guide her to climb "...then when it levels off, the bridge has a bunch of pods hanging to the left and to the right of it, all at face level, some a little higher...." higher for him, he still kinda short and hasn’t hit his growth spurt yet nuts. "Theres a lot of pods...." he wasn’t looking forward to getting face full of dung perfume, but there it is, pods and pods of them. "You think you can sense out the rose scented ones?"

Azura smiled as Tenacius spoke, and she could hear the coins in his pocket jingling as well as some light footsteps on the ground. The teen tried to hold back a smile as she held onto her pod, because.. she could tell he was dancing.. Haha! That was so cute! But she wasn't going to say a word..

Nope!

"Yesss! I got one." She said with a warm smile as she tucked the pod into her pocket like he told her and she started to move forward, weaving through the last of the flag poles.. Her sensitive nose was not picking up any more rose scented pods..

"Yeah, this is the only one I was able to smell out.. the rest of them.. not so good.." She said as she shook her head a bit.. Even though it was still a little weird that she couldn't see.. Her other senses were coming into play...

"Bridge, ten paces away.. got it." The purple eyed teen said as she moved forward ten paces and put her hands out.. There she felt the wooden handrails and she grabbed onto them tightly as she started to slowly put her foot on the bridge..

"Ramp going up.. once it levels off, pods on either side.. face ish.. level."Yeah She was only 4'7.. So height was not in her favor at the moment..

She moved slowly up the ramp to the bridge, taking slow steps as she put her foot in front of the other before feeling it level out.. All right.. Pods!!

She moved forward a bit.. her hands out in front of her as she moved to the right and AHHH...

She felt the pods..

She carefully sniffed around for a few minutes before smiling..

"This one!"She said as she pointed to one that was right next to her head.. "This one is rose scented." She was sure of it..

Arm's length away, Tenacius kept true to his word and he led the way up the ramp and onto the bridge. He tried to sniff at the pods to be helpful whilst Azura tried to figure things out, but really all the pods smelled the same to him, which at this point is kinda neutral to sorta bad. Blame the dung pods from the flagpoles.

But oh! She found another rose scented pod "Awesome!!" the Gryffindor was jumping up and down with joy, fist pumping the air and making some bizarre dance moves with his legs. "Lemme get that, its tied up." a few snipping spells and "Bam rose scented pod numero dos secured! WE'RE DONE YAAASSS!!--- oh wait, we have to get off this bridge and onto the finish line." Whoops, almost grabbed her hand there. No touchy! At least not yet.

He walked the length of the bridge then doubled back to Azura "Ok, 12 paces to the end of the bridge, then theres a ramp going down towards the ground, it’s the same kind as what you climbed up earlier." But now Azura was facing not quite forward where she could start walking. How tempting was it to turn her ever so slightly so she's facing the right direction. "Ok uhm...... You're facing the bridge railing right now so start turning bit by bit to your left....... Keep turning.... Keep turning...there! Ok start walking forwards, twelve paces."

When they got to the end of the bridge he called out again "Alright this is the ramp going down, just inch your way forward, you'll feel the incline starting to slope downward." Please don’t fall on your face, please don’t fall on your face. "The Finish Line is at the end of the ramp."

They were almost done. AAHH he could do cartwheels.

Such a sweet understanding little snake. Hady liked this one for sure. Actually she liked all the younger ones. Anyhow focus Hady. Since she wasn't about to be talking she would be listening extra carefully and paying close attention to the instructions she was given. That didn't seem to troublesome. Three steps forward and a step up. Then a turn to the left and a tire she needed to get over.

"Okay." she answered simply with a nod of her head. A one word answer wasn't hard to give. One step, two steps, three steps forward. So far so good. Now a step up which she did slowly raising her foot to feel out for the ledge. Once she had moved up onto the step she knew she would have to turn left. Turning her body she moved her foot up and forward feeling for the tire to put her foot down on. It took a few seconds until her foot came to rest on top of the tire but once it did she brought her other foot up to meet with it.

Stepping forward was done carefully. Her foot nearly hit the center of the tire and she had to move her footing wider. She then stepped forward until both feet were on the other side of it and carefully stepped down. They were in the clear for the moment, yes?

"We okay?" She hadn't stepped in or on anything? Which way did they have to go now?

Hadleigh have a firm nod of her head to indicate to Sky that she was very much ready to begin.

Harriet was nervous. She hadn't thought how vulnerable she would feel when she put the blind fold on. But maybe this was what the Knarl's felt like. Though they were used to it all he time. But this made her feel really vulnerable. She guessed it was what it was supposed to do. To make them feel like they were a knarl. "Yep... I Can't see at all" Which was kind of scary. She'd get over the scary feeling though and get the two rose pods. She could do this. She was determined that she could.

She nodded, and then began to walk straight forward. She held her hands out, just in case, and hoped she was walking straight. She didn't walk in a straight line in the best of times, so she knew it would be hard now that she was blind folded. But she would try herself. She bit her lip, and tried to walk as straight as possible. And stop. She stopped, right where she was. Okay. What was next?

Ooh. A Tunnel. "Okay. Sounds easy" And list she didn't need to climb over anything. She got down onto her knees, and felt for the entrance of the tunnel. She smiled when she felt it, and went on to carefully move through the tunnel. She didn't want to bang into something, or his her head onto the side of the tunnel. She didn't need to knock herself out or something silly like that.

"Oooh. I can smell it!" She murmured, as she headed along the tunnel. She had no idea if she was near the end, since she couldn't see anything at all. But hopefully she was near the end. She crawled a little more, before the smell of the pod was really strong. "Ooh... I think....." She reached around, before her hands clasped onto a pod. She leant a little closer, smelling it, to make sure she'd got the right one.

"I got it!" She beamed, and looked around, as if she was trying to find Fiyero. Perfect. Onto the next pod?

Azura smiled happily as Tenacius got his pod and said they were done.."We are done? Ohh.. end of the bridge got it!" She said as she put her hand down, she had almost pulled off her blindfold! But not yet!! They just had this last obstacle to face.

"12 paces to the edge of the bridge and then a ramp downwards.. got it." The teen repeated as she tried not to jump up and down, they were almost done, they had almost finished it! And she wasn't dead! But uhh.. wasn't she facing..

Ahhh yes.. there is was.. She listened to his instructions and then turned herself accordingly..

"All right, 12 paces, here I come." She said with a smile as she started to walk forward, a bit slowly because she still couldn't see, but it was weird.. her other senses were totally picking up.. so even though she didn't have her sight, she felt a little more confident walking around then she had at the start of this course.. But then again she was walking straight on a bridge, so there was that...

After the Twelvth pace, she heard Tenacius voice and she nodded.. "Got it.." She started to inch her way forward and found that the ramp was going downwards..

The teen slowly crept her way down the ramp.. She wasn't going to trip and fall here! It was a bit tricky... but she finally managed to do it.. and finally her feet were on flat ground again..

"Did I do it? Are we done?" She asked him..

It was indeed quite remarkable how far they've come from the start of the obstacle course, but bravely and smartly did they make their way through it. But it was in these last few steps as Azura descended down the ramp that Tenacius got nervous. Like some bizarre déjà vu sensation where she would, at the end of it all, fall and break the pod......and her nose....and their spirit....

BUT nope that didn’t happen! Azura made it safely on solid ground. "YOU DID! WE'RE DONE!!" and he gave her a Tenaciusly exuberant hug. Such relief! Such gratitude! And hey he can make contact now right they were at the finish line. "You did AWESOME Azura!! Your nose knows." mmhm it sure did.

And to the Creatures Master, Tenacius struck a comically heroic pose, took out a rose pod in his possession and thrust it under his nose in front of the Professor "Rose scented pod as requested Professah!" The second pod was with Azura, to be presented as she so pleases.

Azura was barely on the ground when she felt someone hug her and she squealed a little as he gave her a hug and she hugged him right back! "We did it!!" She said as she pulled off her blindfold and then.. proceeded to blink at everything around her..

Bright sun was bright yeah?

Feeling sort of like a mole she smiled warmly up at Tenacius."You were amazing as well! You were such a great guide!! Thank you for not letting me fall." She said with a happy grin up at him as her eyes slowly started to adjust to the colorful world around her..

She followed Tenacius towards Professor Draper and she too held out her pod to him, though it wasn't nearly as pose-y as Tenacius's was..

"My Pod Professor Draper, that was.. really fun actually." She said with a smile up at the Professor.. He was off the hook now for wanting her to die..

"Okay, you can wear the blindfold. Don't worry, I'll protect you." Kitty smiled faintly as she said this. Then she followed Jaemin into the maze. There was a large puddle of mud directly ahead of them. At the very edge on the other side was one of the pods. Her first thought was to put out her arm to block him from walking into it, but thankfully she remembered in time that she could not do that. "Hang on Jaemin," she said. "There is a big puddle of mud a few feet in front of you. Um...it's about four feet wide and on the other side is one of the pods. I'm surprised it's so close to the entrance. Um...I can't tell how deep the mud is. If I were you I would walk around on the left side because it's the drier side. Then once you've cleared the mud 9I'll tell you when), you can turn around and pick up the pod - without falling into the mud. Don't worry, if it looks like you're going to fall I'll scream."

"Okay, uh...wait here a moment." She had no idea where to go in the obstacle course, and so there was a lot of chances that Hadley was gonna lead her to nowhere fast. So, it was time to do something about that. While Esme waited patiently, Hadley moved deeper into the obstacle course.

It wasn't hard to maneuver through the course without a blindfold. Actually it was depressingly easy to be honest. In a way that was good because it let Hads count her steps to relay them to Esme later. As she weaved through the course, over, under and around obstacles, Hadley kept repeating the instructions in her mind, over and over again, until she found one of the prizes.

She made her way back to Esme.

"Okay, I found a pod. I think it's one of the rose scented ones." She didn't check because it sounded like that was for Esme to do, under that whole use other senses part of it. "First you want to move forward about ten paces, there's a log thingy in the path, so step over that, then take another three steps and duck, 5 steps more then turn right, forward about 8 paces, duck again, then an immediate left, 2 steps, side step to the right, and duck again and the pod will be on the ground about four steps away." Did she get all that? "Don't worry, I'll along side to adjust as needed and keep you from hitting the obstacles."

After tying the blindfold over his eyes, and out of habit because he'd done blindfold games at parties and things as a kid, Jaemin walked into the maze with his arms stretched out in front of him, hands wide open. It wasn't that he didn't trust Kitty... it was just that if he did happen to walk into anything, or trip over something, at least this way he'd be protected or prepared. A little bit. Not very much.

Hopefully she was clear with her directions.

He stopped short when she mentioned the mud, one foot tapping the ground in front of him to make sure it was still solid ground. Four feet wide... that meant he had to move sideways, yes? He took a few steps to one side, then an extra two just to make sure, and took a few tentative steps forward. No mud... no mud... solid ground, no mud. Good, good.

"Am I past it?" he asked after several more steps. He kept edging forward though, until she said something. He didn't want to fall in the mud. Not today. He just wanted to get through this course.

Pausing as she heard Haddie tell her to wait a moment, Esme stood still in the pitch dark not really knowing where she was. Of course that was the whole point of the activity but still. It was weird and very interesting at the same time. Patiently she waited as Haddie went forward to investigate the course. At least that was what SHE would have done in her place and it was a valid assumption to make as to why they weren't moving forward anymore.

Annnnnd she was back plus there was a pod nearby.

Score.

Hopefully it wasn't one that smelled like poo because she did not need that in her life right now or ever really.

"Gotcha," Esme said before beginning to move again. Ten paces forward with her being extra careful to move her legs in a way that she would be able to feel the log when it came up. At least that was the plan, though it almost failed when she did a little stumble... "I'm okay," she said as she climbed over rather ungracfully. Oh well. One, two, three steps before ducking though apparently she hadn't gone down enough because she banged her head on something. "OUCH!" Rubbing her head, she made the five steps before turning right.

Eight more steps and this time she made sure to duck really low because she was not going to bang her head again if she could help it. Turning to the left she made two more steps before side stepping though she didn't do a graceful job of that either because she walked into something with her left leg. Meeeh. Ducking, she felt out with her hands as she made the last few steps. Feeling something that must be a pod, she took it in her hands and gave it a cautious smell. "Roses!"

One down and one to go.

Juno bounced as Janelle successfully grabbed a rose scented pod! One more to go....but a full obstacle course to get through. Juno internally groaned but knew they had to get this done. Juno trudged through the course guiding her partner through many obstacles, very successfully might she add, and only encountered a few pods. All of which were stinky. There was one more obstacle they needed to get through and there was a pod right down at the bottom of it.

"Alright Janelle, the end of the course isn't too far off. We have one more obstacle and there is another pod at the end of it then we are home free to the end of the course." This obstacle was a tunnel. She could either have her partner go through it or around it. Then she noticed that there was mud on either side of the tunnel...she was going to have to through it.

She sighed a little this wouldn't be too difficult, hopefully. She counted the paces to the tunnel. It wasn't very far off and it was only about 4 feet long. "Ok, Janelle. The next obstacle is a tunnel. You will have to get on your hands and knees. It is about 6 paces in front of you, which will give you enough space to get inside and crawl through. There is a pod at the other end right outside of the entrance. You should be able to smell it right as you get to the other side of the tunnel. Be very careful coming out of the tunnel because there are mud pits on both sides of it. Do not turn to your left or right. Just keep going straight out of the tunnel and after about 10 paces you will be at the finish line." Juno really hoped that that pod was a rose scented one. It had to be since all of the others they had checked were the stinky ones.

Juno back up a few paces, ran as fast as she could and jumped over the mud puddle to the left of the tunnel, landing rather gracefully on the other side. "Alright Janelle. Whenever you are ready, I am waiting on the other side." She really hoped Janelle made it over. They had done wonderfully so far.

Juno waited rather nervously for her partner.

Fiyero turned around to make sure Hattie was following and not veering off course. So far so good... she hadn't run into anything yet. He kept a watchful eye on her as she made her way through the tunnel. "Awesome job, Hattie!" he said when she emerged out the other side, pod in hand. He was glad it was the right kind of pod; he'd half-expected it to be a dung one. "You're out of the tunnel; you can stand up now."

He walked ahead, mentally counting the number of steps he took, until he came to a puddle of mud in the middle of the path. "Okay, Hattie, take six steps forward, then stop," he instructed. "There's a huge mud puddle right in front of you. To avoid it, you'll need to take four steps to your left." He looked around in search of another pod, but he didn't see (or smell) anything. "I don't think there's a pod here, so we'll have to keep on," he added.

James was quite amused watching how each pair went through the course. Especially amused with Barrington's antics, seeing at is would be very difficult to make it through the course blindfolded without any help. Though he had to say, he admired the boys confidence. Not many would agree with the terms that James had set. Kid was interesting, that's for sure.

It was clear that some pairs were doing better than others, team dynamics were always strange. And ah, the first team to make it to the end. He did not see this one coming. "Congratulations, both of you," he said giving them both a firm nod. As their prize, "Seeing as you've made it to the end, you can both pack up your things and head out a few minutes early if you'd like," how'd that sound? They never finished early. Consider it a one time deal.

Checking the watch on his wrist, he noted that there was still quite a bit of time left for the rest of them. Raising his voice so that the class could hear, "This is your fifteen minute warning," then they had to go. Unless they were willing to skip their next class. Though, uh, James wasn't advising that in the slightest. Unless it was divinations, then he'd totally go on the record for advising that. #SorryNotSorrySora.

But most of them looked just about done, yeah? "Once you've made it to the end, you can show me your pods and then head out!" Okay, now back to the obstacle course.

OOC: Hihi, I had a few situations arise that prevented me from getting online with my laptop, but I've been checking in on my phone throughout! Y'all are doing FANTASTICALLY!! Such a fun read!

I'll leave the thread open for 10 more hours before I have to close it.

When finished, there's no need to wait for James to check your pods unless you want to. You can just assume he'd check y'all off! I'll post again in 10 hours with an official dismissal.
