They could color in the drawings using magic too? Oh wow. That was so cool! That made Hattie excited! She loved this lesson so much. She placed her wand down, and quickly wrote the charm to color their drawings in. She wanted to practice more after the lesson had finished, so she needed to make sure that she had everything written down!

Now to practice the charm here. She was getting quite good with her magic now. Well the basic spells at least. That made her pretty happy. She wanted to be good, and made her parents proud. She decided to use the shape that she already had, wanting to make it a different color.

Smiling, she pointed her wand at the picture, and said "Colovaria" . She thought of a silvery color this time, and her Diamond was filled from pink into the Silver. "cooool" She murmured with a smile. She was happy. This was amazing, and she liked. Could she do some more shapes?

oooh. Actually she was going to fill the background in too. Smiling, she pointed her wand at the background surrounding her Diamond, and thought of the color pale blue. "Colovaria" She murmured whilst still thinking of her color. And the background went light blue. Hmm. She liked this a lot. She would be doing this all the time now.

Now they were talking. A charm that could fill in color, even better, it could change the color of things. Janelle had always wondered what she would look like with hair a different color than her own........turquoise perhaps? This spell could be verrrry useful, but now was not the time. Right now, she had to focus on the task at hand.

Janelle took a moment to practice the incantation. "Co-lo-var-i-a, Co-lo-var-i-a, Colovaria.". That seemed pretty easy. Long, but easy. Ok, she was ready to give the spell a try. Looking at her canvas, Janelle lifted her wand and pointed it at her blue heart. She focused her mind on the color blue, and said, "Colovaria". In no time, her heart was a solid blue. Oh yes, she was definitely going to get some use out of this spell. Now for her other shape. Janelle pointed her wand again, and thought green. "Colovaria", she said once more. Her outline of a circle became a solid green circle and Janelle was satisfied. Now she wondered what their main activity would be. More painting she hoped because this was kinda fun.

THIS LESSON WAS SO MUCH FUN.

Esme wished that more classes could be like this, because it was nice to get in touch with creativity every once in a while. Maybe not EVERY class, but yeah. It made things more interesting.

She was totally digging making shapes and now she would be able to fill them in. Juno had already started on colouring in the stars she had made, and Esme gave her a thumbs up. She wondered if they could change the colour of River's hair while he was sleeping on the couch. That would be hilarious and since he would be staying at home for the Christmas holidays, very possible. They could give him red or green hair. Thinking about it made her want to laugh but she'd keep it to herself until she could talk to her sister about it. Now was not the time.

Pointing her wand at the pink square she had drawn, she said "Colovaria," while thinking of the exact shade of pink. There, her artwork was that much closer to being complete. Esme proceeded to colour in the rest of the shapes with their respective colours, though she DID make the circular window in the roof blue; using purple would have made it disappear entirely and that would have been plain silly.

Painting wasn't exactly the same as doodling, but Rula was still pretty okay with any form of drawing. Not that she was particularly good at it, but she was totally okay with trying.

So she had decided to paint a sunflower since that seemed like a nice simple one to do. And now they could animate them? COOL.

She traced the flower carefully with her wand, imagining it swaying in the breeze, and then said, "Animatae."

And...nothing. So she tried again, tracing it again and saying, "Animatae!"

Still not even a twitch from the flower. Mean.

Rula tried it several more times before finally, finally the flower swayed ever so slightly. YES.

On to the next spell! Hopefully this one would be a little nicer to her. She pictured an orange heart next to her flower, tracing it there with her wand, and said, "Figura heart."

But of course, nothing. Meh.

It took a few less tries than the last one thankfully, and she grinned when the orange heart shape finally appeared. This was so great.

And now this next spell was one she was actually pretty okay with! At least she wouldn't have to try a thousand times to get this one right.

So the bigger question was what color did she want to fill her orange-outlined heart with? Orange was obviously a possibility, buuut maybe another color would look cool. Like a yellow to go with the sunflower. Or maybe a purple. Hmmm... Purple. Yeah, that was what she was going to go with. Just so there could be more kinds of colors on here.

"Colovaria," she cast, pointing her wand at the heart. It filled in with a nice purple-y color. Perfect!

But now what? Add some more shapes to the picture? What kinds? Hmmm...

Ah...

He only managed one triangle, before they were moving on to filling things. There was little point to this exercise, or so he was thinking right now. But he carried on and persevered instead of giving up. He had actually considered sitting it out for now, or asking Miss Charlotte if he could keep her self portrait. Perhaps frame it and give it to her parents for Christmas in secret. What? It was a good idea. And he wasn't sure if she would forget to get something for them.

But she had told him not to do things like that for her. Like..doing her homework again. So that idea went out of the window. He still wanted the painting, though. Scrapbook. 18th birthday present. Something in the future.

Pointing his wand at the centre of the triangle, Roo spoke clearly. "Colovaria!" And it filled! So he tested out casting it on the full next page. "Colovaria!" Oooooooooooooh green parchment!

Fiyero was wondering if Professor Primeaux was going to get around to teaching them how to fill in the shapes they'd made; he was glad he told them now instead of dragging it out into the next lesson. Whoa, that charm worked on people's hair? Awesome! He thought about testing it on himself, but somehow he didn't think his mother would like it if he came home.for.Christmas with purple hair.

He decided to practice on the parchment first. "Colorvaria!" he said, pointing his wand at the star he'd made. It filled with a shiny metallic gold color. Fiyero smiled; he was proud of that star. He went on to fill in a blue circle and a red square, but after the triumph of his star, the other shapes seemed a bit anticlimactic. Time to try something new...

Fiyero had an idea, but he wasn't sure it would work. He decided to ask Professor Primeaux before trying it out, just to be safe, and raised his hand. "Does this spell work on patterns, Professor?" he asked. "Say if someone wanted to fill in a shape with stripes or polka dots or something like that..."

"Thank you Professor," Kitty responded happily, pleased that her heart had turned out right after all. In her mind she had been torn on whether to draw a ruby or a heart so she had simply traced with her eyes closed to see what her hand would draw - and it had drawn a heart. She decided that deep down that is what she had wanted to draw.

And now she got to color it! "Colovaria!" Kitty pointed her wand at the sheet first, turning it clack. Then she pointed at her heart. "Colovaria." It turned sparkling red. She smiled, pleased with her work.

Later she was going to try this spell on her hair.

"That is a really good question. Say you want polka dots you would want to do the same wand movement, but you need to change up the charm a bit and say Colorvaria punctum polka" He pointed his wand at the paper and showed what he meant. "Stripes would be colorvaria livorem" Those were a little more advance, but with practice he didn't see why any of them couldn't do it.

Moving back to the front of the room Primeaux looked towards the class. "Alright wands down." They had practiced enough it was time to show what they could really do. "Today you are going to use your charms to show the entire school what you have learned. I'm going to give you the rest of the day to go out and find walls, the armor, furniture, really anything you can find. Though not portraits. Please do not annoy the portraits. Go out and pick two places and design whatever you like, school appropriate and charm them using what you learned today. When you are finished you will come back here and tell me where to look or take me back there so that I can see." Were they following? He looked at them all.

"It is now 1:30 by the time curfew comes you should have had a chance to find two different areas between classes and other homework to finish this project. So good luck and I will see you when you are finished." He'd probably be in his office waiting on them, but they would be able to find him pretty easily.

So he had to... leave the art class... to do more art... on stuff in the castle? Were they really going to deface the castle for class credit? Jaemin blinked very slowly at the professor, a frown crossing his face. This made no sense to him... at all. Did he realise he was asking for chaos here?

Well. That wasn't Jaemin's concern, really. Whatever it took to get him away from this... art... lesson. He'd had quite enough of this, and even if he had to go out and... do the spells more on the wall or something... at least he'd be done with it. And then he'd hopefully not have to deal with any other classes about arts ever again.

Without a word, Jaemin scooped up his things and hightailed it out the door.

Did he just...get permission to graffiti the school?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

OMM. BEST. DAY. EVER.

The Slytherin boy was up and out of his seat and tossed the strap of his satchel over his shoulder. He gets to so do something ILLEGAL (was it illegal? It was now) with permission from a PROFESSOR. There were witnesses all around who could attest to that were Cornelius to get in trouble.

With a rather sneaky glint in his green eyes and a smirk on his face the Slytherin boy left the classroom, wand in hand.

So many corridors, many ideas. Where to start?

The 'drawing' was put on hold when the Professor began talking again, for the fact the quill needed to go back to taking notes. While it did, he hung back, idly glancing at the work of others. Some of them looked like they were really putting their hearts and souls into it. He had no such time nor did he have the passio--say what now?

They...could leave? The Professor.....was giving them leave to....go off about the castle--nevermind that they were getting a get out of vandalism punishment free card, he was letting him LEAVE.

Blaise was now confronted with two choices; he could make a run for it, leave like everyone else but simply.....NOT come back. His other option was...interesting, to say the least and possibly not something the Professor would abide. Welp. Decisions decisions.

The boy called off the extra quill but left the first running. He'd make up his mind by the time he got to wherever he was going.

Hady wasn't all that worried about making polka dots of stripes on her colored shapes but for all intent and purposes it could one day become useful, therefore she had made sure to jot it down on a spare parchment. One could never know fully whether or not something would someday become useful to them. If she didn't need the charm for years to come it was still nice to know it existed at least.

After having changed the background color of her random shapes drawing the girl shifted her attention onto the professor. They were being told to leave the classroom and go around the school making artwork. This wasn't exactly new to her honestly as they had done this before even if it had only just been changing the color of things. It was nearly the same.

Making sure her area was clean first Hady slung the strap of her bag over her shoulder, gave a nod of her head towards the professor to prove she understood and was gone. Now to figure out what and where she was going to make this art work of hers.

Azura looked down at her picture, and then at her wand and smiled as the Professor said they could use this spell on their hair! She always wondered what she would look like with purple hair!

However that wasn't for class!

She pointed her wand at her parchment, and said "Colovaria." The bottom of her parchment turned green! Perfect! Grass for her picture!

She put her wand down as the Professor told them what they needed to do! Paint on the walls??

Yassssss!!

Azura jumped up and nearly tripped as she righted herself and bolted out of the room! She knew exactly where she was going to go!

Hadley was nothing but grins this class. They were all spells she'd be dying to learn. And one she hadn't known about would have been dying to learn if she had. She pointed her wand at the center of Pac-Man and imagined it turning yellow. "Colovaria!" The circle with a pizza slice taken out of it shifted to a strong, rich yellow.

Hads smiled. This had to be what cloud nine felt like. Next she traced a smaller circle inside Pac-Man. "Figura circle!" Success! Now to color it. She aimed her wand at the circle and imagined it black. "Colovaria!" There now Pac-man had a eye. But she wasn't done yet.

"Figura Circle! Figura Circle! Figura Circle!" Three more medium sized circles appeared before Pac-man, in a line. "Colovaria! Colovaria! Colovaria!" Each circle filled in blue. Now for the fun part. Hadley imagined the first circle moving across the parchment until it reached Pac-Man, and traced it. "Animatae!" Then she imagined the second circle moving to take the place of the first circle. "Animatae!" Then she traced the last circle, imagining it moving to take the place of the second. "Animatae!" It gave the appearance of a continuous line of circles moving toward Pac-Man. Perfect.

Finally it was Pac-Man's turn. He was traced while Hadley imagined the mouth opening and closing, closing and opening. "Animatae!" There! Perfect. Was Primeaux seeing this? She now had Pac-Man eating a continuous row of blue circles. Like in the old, old, old school game.

All thoughts of showing Primeaux went out the arrow loop. See what she did there? Castle, arrow loop? Huh? Nevermind. Primeaux was not just giving them permission to graffiti the school, he was assigning it for homework. WHAAAAA????? Primeaux was either in need of Healer Murdoch or had been kidnapped and replaced by a doppelganger. One that clearly didn't do enough research on Primeaux to effectively pass as him. Clearly.

Only thing to do now, was to save the real Primeaux, after she vandalized the school on teacher's orders of course. The man barely finished speaking before Hadley was done packing up and rushing out the door. Homework, here she came!

They were...going to decorate the castle?

COOL.

Rula was completely on board with this. It couldn't technically be counted as "vandalism of school property" if they were given permission by a professor, right? Right. So this would be fun.

The fourth year quickly packed up her things and hurried out, already coming up with places she could decorate.

Azura moved back into the class looking for Professor Primeaux!

"Professor! I'm done." She said as she walked into the class room..."I did a 1st floor Sky Mural and her 4th floor night sky. " She said as she looked up at him. "Did you want to come check them out?" She was actually very proud of what she had done!

When the professor said that they had until curfew to get this classwork done, and dismissed them, she quickly packed up and ran out of the door. She knew exactly where she wanted to go.

She didn't even say bye to her own sister before running out of the door because she was so excited. This was going to be an awesome day!


------------------------A couple hours later--------------------------


Juno came skipping back into the charms classroom. She was excited to show of her artwork to the professor. "Hello, Professor! I have finished my paintings!" She grinned at him. "There is one in the Owlery and the other is on the old Wooden Bridge. Would you like me to take you or do you want to see them alone?" She asked patiently. She would understand if he wanted to go alone. He would have a lot of students' work to check.

It had been a mistake to run up all those stairs from the ground floor. Isabella paused outside the classroom to catch her breath, then went back into the room. Was the professor still here? She wanted to tell him about her art!

"Professor, sir," she said once she found him. "I finished my art projects! I made a flower mural on the fifth floor, and I added some painted balloons to the broom closet!" She was so proud of herself. Even if her magic artwork was nowhere near as good as her painting by hand stuff. She'd get the hang of it, and magic artwork didn't need to be left alone to dry.

This sounded like fun. Niomi was able to get outside the classroom and practice her charm skills she just learned. She smiled as she got up, grabbed her things and headed out the door. Niomi was ready to find a place to draw a picture.

~Later~

Niomi returned back to the Charms classroom, about an hour an half after she left earlier. Looking around, searching for the Charms Professor, she finally found him. Walking up to Professor Primeaux she said, "Excuse me, sir." Once she got his attention she added, "I completed my two drawings. One is in the Slytherin wall hallway, and the other is in the Clock Tower Entrance." Niomi finished talking with a smile. She was pleased with the work she completed for this activity.

Fiyero blinked dumbly at Professor Primeaux's instructions. He couldn't believe it... they were supposed to paint the walls? Usually people got in trouble for doing that... he surely would never have been allowed to do such a thing at that stuffy muggle school his dad sent him to. He had to stifle a laugh as he imagined his old headmistress's reaction to him drawing on school property. Just when he thought Hogwarts couldn't get any cooler, this happened!

He was ready to bolt then Primeaux dismissed them. He preactically ran to the door before realizing he forgot his bag and had to go back for it. He couldn't decorate the school without his wand, right? He knew exactly where he was going to go; he just hoped he got there first. This was going to be awesome!

~~~ A few hours later~~~

Fiyero returned to the Charms classroom to find several of his classmates had already finished. He hoped he hadn't missed the deadline. "Hello, Professor Primeaux," he greeted the Charms teacher with a cheery smile. "I finished my drawings. One is in the Gryffindor common room, and the other's in the kitchens." His voice dropped as he added, "but the one on the common room's the best." Was he supposed to personally escort Professor Primeaux to his work? "I can show you if you like." He hoped he'd done a good job on the assignment; it was harder than he thought!

Blaise walked into the classroom with a feeling of accomplishment and a proud look on his face. By all indications the boy seemed to have done some good work and was actually feeling good about it. Funny wasn't it?

The Gryffindor went back to his easel to be sure he'd taken everything and nothing was left behind. Very important. Blaise wanted to be sure that when he bolted, there would be no reason to come back.

Everything nice and secured, the boy walked over to the man's desk and slid a piece of parchment over to him with very VERY VERY detailed instructions on where he'd left his 'art' down in the dungeons and along the seventh floor corridor.

"Have a good one, Professor." He was out of here.

Hadley was having a very hard time suppressing her mischievous smirk. Not that she was trying all that hard. If she had been however, it would have still been hard to do. The fact she was skipping as she entered the classroom didn't help matters either.

The teen spotted Professor Prime and made her way over, deviously thrilled at her work. Though she had a feeling she and Professor Hirsch might be the only two. "This was a really, really fun lesson Professor. We should have more like this!" Okay that was enough stalling. She was having a hard enough time keeping herself from all out grinning. "Anyhow, you might need to smooth things over with Professor Ichihara. But I don't think you'll have any trouble with Professor Hirsch. I decorated their waiting areas." There was a short awkward pause. "ThanksforthelessonBYE!" And Hadley Denaker was out of there, fleeing the scene once more.

Walking back into the Charms classroom sometime later that afternoon Hady smiled towards Professor Primeaux. She had just finished the last 'artwork' they had been set out to do. If it hadn't of been for having to attend other lessons she probably would've been finished much earlier. However that wasn't the case but she was in fact standing here now.

"Hello Professor, I've just wanted to let you know that I've finished my artwork. I can show them to you if you like or you can go on your own if you don't have time to now. There's one on the wall outside of the second floors Girl's Bathroom and the other is on the third floor in the Armour Gallery." No need to worry she didn't change the color of any suits of armour even if she had been tempted to do so.

What an invigorating practical class session. Not only had Dot had the opportunity to learn new spells, but she'd also left graffiti love letters for her very best friends and got into a battle with a cranky old portrait. Dot was practically dancing as she waltzed back into the classroom and resumed her seat.

She crossed her legs and bounced her foot in the air, waiting on the professor to pick up again... or dismiss them. Whichever he wanted.

Oh, was that it, then? Dot flashed the professor a brief smile before shouldering her bag. "Thanks for the lesson, sir. Have a good one. Don't believe any stories the portraits tell you about me."

This was very exciting. Olly had been doing a lot of art lately and he liked it. They should have classes like this more often, where they were encouraged to go out and vandilize the castle. Or maybe a better word would be beautify. He was excited to see all the other artwork around when he went to class and whatnot. It was such a fun idea.

He had left a work of art on a statue. Then he had wandered down to his own dorm to leave a nice mural for him and his dorm mates to enjoy. All in all it had been a fun and productive day. "I'm done professor," he said. "Boris the Bewildered is stuck in a storm, and there is now a fish mural in the Slytherin third year boys dorm. Thanks for the fun lesson!"
