Thank you one and all for making this first term a STELLAR one! All of your hard work and dedication to the noble science of astronomy has not gone unnoticed. An extra special thank you to the above students for their diligent work and thoughtfulness this term.

Far too many of you shone as bright as Polaris in the night sky this term and narrowing it down to just this many was difficult enough! So I cheated a little bit this term and selected six out of this world students instead of five. Thank you one and all for yet another fantastic term and putting up with all the outside distractions of pranks and dementors.

Once again there were so many of you that had a luminosity that rivaled even the brightest of stars, but a select few fused those metaphorical hydrogen and helium atoms more strongly than others. Thank you ALL for your stellar efforts and cheers to not getting a sunburn this term!

As metaphorical atoms and bits of space dust began to pull together thanks to the gravity of the mind, many of you rose above and beyond the status of a dwarf planet, but there were those who orbited more fiercely than others and napped the title of "planet" this term. Despite all the aches and pains that came with this term - along with hairs going grey - I thank you all for your STELLAR efforts!

While the weather outside was frightful, the fire in the minds of all those who stepped into the Astronomy Tower this term was so delightful. Just as the five layers of the Earth's atmosphere act as warm blanket to keep us warm, these five students rose above the cold and kept their minds blazing with their stellar motivation and creativity! Thank you all for another out of this world term and remember, seasons may change...winter to spring...but I appreciate all your stellar efforts and enthusiasm.

3...2...1 BLAST OFF! Boldly going where no Hogwartian has gone before (figuratively speaking, of course), all those who stepped foot in the Astronomy Tower this term let their imaginations and thoughts look to the upwards. While exploring the mysteries of the universe and getting your hands a little sticky (sorry about that!), among these five may be the future launch team and astronauts of this generation. I once again applaud you all for your efforts and stellar performances. Good form

Through the highs and the lows this term, each unique and inquisitive mind brought something stellar this term. As a student body and as a school, you make up the most spectacular of 'constellations' - of course, I use the term figuratively. Among that constellation are 5 stars that shined the brightest. Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton asked why. Each of you returned to humanity's ancient explorer roots and harnessed your curiosity. My desire is that you all continue to do so well into the future. While it may wax and wane like the Moon, curiosity is the engine of achievement and never forget that. Burning up in the Earth's atmosphere is for meteors, but thankfully all those who stepped into the Astronomy classroom this term were resilient and inquisitive little meteorites.
