The Treehouse Since it's first discovery in the 2050s, the Treehouse has maintained it's presence throughout the years with upkeep and improvements thanks to the many Groundskeepers. A massive tree houses a wooden fort that sits high up in its branches. A rope ladder automatically descends down upon approach. Once inside you are greeted with a spacious place to lounge, much larger than the exterior leads on. |
VM me if you grab her! THE TREE HOUSE! The tree house. The Tree house.. OMG Alice was excited.. It was a legit tree house, as she climbed the ladder and into the structure, Diaval flying behind her and then landing on her shoulder. The Lioness felt like she could see the whole of The (Pridelands) Hogwarts Grounds. "SQUAWK!" Diaval made an awful noise and Alice turned to look at him. "Shhhhhhh, we need to make friends and that wont happen if you're being rude and loud everywhere... try it a little quieter." She said and then he made the same noise, just a little more quite. Alice grinned, the proud bird Mummy that she was. "Very good." She took a deep breath and wished Oliver was here. She already missed her brother. He was after all her best friend pretty much. But now was the time to make new friends and branch out. She wanted to make everyone proud of her.. But they probably already were.. She was Alice Lupin, First Year Gryffindor! Who wouldn't be proud. |
Bethany!! and hey Alice! This was it. Her second favorite place at the whole of Hogwarts. THE TREE HOUSE! Grabbing onto the rungs of the ladder she pulled herself up quickly and dropped down on her bottom up top. She was going to just have a seat here and wait for her friend... HER NEW FRIEND! WEEEEEE! And the squawking got her attention really quickly. Jerking her head back she looked around until she spotted Alice and her raven. COOOOOOL. Dora pulled her robes back and peered in the pocket of her shirt to smile at Cherry. YEP. She was still there and cozy, her little legs wiggling at Dora when she looked inside. "What if that bird tries to eat you, Cherry? I'll bring you out later, okay? " Uncle Spike had been sure to magically modify her pockets for the specific purpose of carrying Cherryy around. Hehehe. Turning her attention away she smiled at Alice. Giving a wave she put her legs over the edge of the platform, through the railings and kicked hER feet. Mhm. |
Esme! After having taken a detour to the playground first Hady finally found her way to one of her favorite spots. The Treehouse! The fifth year always enjoyed coming here no matter he way and today was no different even if she did have her cat following at her side. There was noway she was leaving him back in the dorm room where bad thins could happen to him. Drawing nearer to the ladder Hady knelt down and scooped Hagan up into her arms, fumbling with the latch on her bag until it clicked open. Once she got the latch undone the brunette carefully settled her cat inside the bag. "Alright Hagan just like when we lived in New York. Stay in there until we're in the tree." She gave the cat in question a pet on the head before climbing up the ladder and onto the balcony area. The second her feet touched floor she lowered her bag down and allowed the cat to scramble out. Laugoing quietly she found herself a quiet spot inside the treehouse and sat down on a beanbag chair, Hagan promptly leaping up into her lap. |

A house. In a tree. Sam stood at the base of it and stared at it for a good while. Where she lived there were very few trees that were good for climbing, not alone one's that could take a whole house. It was crazy, but also totally AWESOME. "Hey Dora!" she waved excitedly as she looked up at a squawking bird and instead saw her friend appear at one side. "I'm gonna head up!" She ran to the ladder and started climbing. This was awesome! |

Sparkle safely in her pocket, Esme started the climb up. Looked like someone had beat her to it; she could hear laughter. Curious, she continued, pleased to see that it was Hady. It was good to see someone friendly though she supposed that most of the people here were nice enough. Some really weren't, but there were others that more than made up for that fact. "Hey!" she said with a smile before moving to pet the little kitty. "What's his name?" Esme realized that she had forgotten to ask on the train. |
SPOILER!!: Esme Content with just sitting there in a beanbag chair, her cat on her lap Hady released a small sigh. This is what she liked. Free time to just chill. No lessons. No homework or studying. Not a bunch of noisey first years running and screaming. Just her and her thoughts. That didn't last very long. She was pulled from her thoughts by voice and a very familiar girl kneeling down to pet her cat. Hady grinned at Esme. "Hey there! His names Hagan but I'm seriously considering changing his name to Attention Hog because that's exactly what he is." She was just joking of course but her cat really did love having everyone petting or cuddling him. |

It took Esme a moment to realize that Hady had probably come here for some peace and quiet. Oops. Now she felt a little bad. At least she didn't seem upset about being disturbed and that was a good thing. Otherwise she would have felt worse. Returning the smile, she took a seat on one of the cushions. "Hello, Hagan." she said giggling as she petted him. "Oh, cats seem to be attention hogs. I don't have a cat, but I have a dog. Her name is Lucy." |
natethegreat/Jay After what seemed like ages the first year was finally able to make his way down to the grounds. He liked talking to new people and some adults were cool to talk to but Brady just wanted a quite or almost quite place to play his guitar. |

Waiting for her to get all the way up, Dora pulled some chocolate frogs and other various goodies from her trusty bag and lay them out. Yep. They were gonna eat all of the sweeties and laugh and tall and YAY!!! |
SPOILER!!: Esme Hady may have been hoping for some alone time and silence but the company from on Miss Esme was very nice. This was one of the younger girls she didn't at all mind disturbing her peace and quiet. The girl was always so friendly and not at all incredibly loud. Watching as Hagan immediantly shifted himself towards Esme's hand, Hady laughed quietly. "That's very true but Hagan here is like the King of cuddles. He's been known to push himself between people and paw at them until he gets the attention he so craves." It was true. He had even laid himself on top of her younger cousins head once because the boy wasn't petting him. A dog though! Lucky her! "I've always wanted a dog but we weren't able to have one for a long time and well now I'm always away here so it wouldn't entirely be fair." She still wanted one though. |

A house in a tree, bigger on the inside than the outside. Was that even possible? It must be, given she she standing in it. She took another moment to absorb it all, before going to find her friend. Plopping down beside the Gryffindor, Sam too poked her feet through the railings and let her legs swing loosely in the breeze. "You choos' th'best places ta 'ang out," she said with a grin. "Dis s'awesome." |

Too bad that Hady never really got to experience having a dog. "Well, I'm sure you can once you're graduated!" It was a good idea to be positive when it came to stuff like that. Esme scratched behind Hagan's ear. "Cuddle King," she said sweetly. "Me and my sister own her together, and my parents look after her when we're at school." But when they were home she was THEIRS. |
SPOILER!!: Esme Giggling was always a good thing. Especially when fully animals were present. "I think he does too," Hady laughed as Hagan scrambled off of her lap and into the floor promptly flopping down on the younger girls feet. "Oh, you might not want to tell him that, he'll never leave you alone!" That was true. Just because she didn't have a dog now didn't mean she couldn't get one. Maybe even during the holiday she'd be able to or sonething. "True. I'll have to see where I end up when I graduate." She didn't want to have a dog if she want sure where she would be or what she would be doing. The cat in question appeared to be enjoying his petting a loud purr coming from him in response. "That'd cool. I do have a snake back home." Once she missed a lot. |

Jay had everything she needed to go exploring! She had a paper and a sketchbook, so that way she could create a map of the giant place, and also so she could just make a list of every secret there was to this absolutely charming place! Also her wand was another necessity, just in case the girl ran into any trouble. Even though, you know, even if she DID run into trouble she wouldn't be able to do anything. What? Did you expect a first year muggleborn student to know good spells when she basically just arrived at the school. In her bag was also binoculars for spying and other stuff like that. Along with her stash of candy. Because candy. Jay would need energy since she was going to be out exploring all day long. Exploring: that was one of her most favorite things to do. Though the blue eyed firstie preferred to be playing a sport, but exploring was the next top thing on her list of fun things. Then she heard it; the sweet and joyous sound of guitar strumming. Following the beautiful noise, it appeared as if Jay had stumbled upon a treehouse. A top of which, was another student playing. Climbing up to the top, she snuck to a spot where she could lean on. After a few moments of awkwardly and silently watching, Jay spoke up "Nice playing." |
for Brian Chloe liked to watch people. Yes, it was weird. Yes, it was a little creepy. But she did, okay? Growing up she had liked watching the animals when traveling with her family, it was the only good part of her Dad's job, and now at Hogwarts it had kind of moved over into people. Mostly boys. They were crazy. And stupid. Oh my gosh. It was like they had nothing inbetween their ears. Really. With her legs tucked under herself she observed the lesser gender. |

"He must REALLY like me." Shaking her head at the cat as he flopped down on the floor by her feet. "Well, alright then." She happily went about her duty of petting him. The little fluff ball seemed to have a heart of gold, and that was rather endearing. A bit of an attention hog though. She didn't see anything wrong with that. "Do you know what you want to do after Hogwarts?" It wasn't TOO soon to ask, since Hady was older. Some people figured it out pretty easily while others took ages to work out what they wanted to do. "Oh, what's your snake's name?" Esme...wasn't sure how she felt about reptiles. |

Brady looked out into the distance as he played his guitar. His playing was perfection, Brady knew from an early again that he wanted to be perfect at playing music and here was playing music. Someday in the far off future he would be a rockstar and everyone, EVERYONE would be cheering his name. He was ready for that right now. The view here was amazing. It was nothing that he had ever seen. |
SPOILER!!: Esme Really? Really Hagan?! Hady laughed happily shaking her head at her own cat. She knew he liked people but come on! "He really does! And that's a good thing, he needs more friends." Everybody needed friends. "How's you little pet?" Ohhh, change of topic! This made the girl smile warmly at her younger friend. "I do," she nodded her head. "I want to be a Healer for magical creatures." Mhmm. A healer. Just not a regular common everyday healer. "How about you, do you have any ideas yet?" Just because Esme was younger didn't mean she didn't know what she wanted to do after graduation. "His name is Aime, I've had him since I was eight." |
ADVENTURE TIME that was what this was! Well, that was what every moment of every day should have been – right? Why not just jump head first into adventuring when she could? That was what Mel was doing right now she was debating Grinning like mad she quickly ran from one window to the next – she had to find where the best location for the telescope was…or maybe more than one was needed? This could need more people…or a whole team? “…how many telescopes would we need” she muttered to herself as she stood there scoping out the room. |

With her book tucked under her arm, the little brunette wandered down the stairways and across the paths in the grounds. The view from the tower might have been unbeatable but Merlin was it a long walk down and an even more tiring walk back up. The rope ladder descended as she approached and the Ravenclaw climbed her way up and pulled herself in at the top. Once there she only noticed one other person there who looked around her age or maybe younger. She was seemingly talking to herself and Ruby considered just leaving her to her own devices. But the strangeness of her question intrigued her. “What do you need lots of telescopes for?” she asked. She knew that they all studied Astronomy here but she considered the treehouse a rather odd position to set them up and furthermore the girl was pondering over how many. Wouldn’t her view be obscured by the branches? “Are you starting an Astronomy club?” She looked a little young for that and shouldn’t that have been Professor Flamsteed’s responsibility anyway? Hmm.. |
Quote:
”I need to be more careful” Mel muttered under her breath still grinning wildly at the girl. “Would you want to join an astronomy club…? For me, I’d want it to be more about the mythology related to astronomy” yep. She was going to sell it. Wait…she didn’t know any astronomy yet. |

The brunette looked puzzled as the girl continued to talk to herself only this time it was under her breath. She couldn’t help but feel like it was something derogatory about her and she suddenly felt self-conscious. “Oh I..” she stuttered as she was put on the spot. “Maybe. I’d definitely think about it.” She did enjoy the subject after all. “But don’t you think you should ask the Professor first?” He could help a lot more than the second-year could after all. Ruby was still dubious as to whether that was the girls true motives for needing telescopes but she kept quiet about it on the premise of wanting to make friends at the school. |

Let's see the old bat try and get her now! Talking about careers was pretty interesting even though she wasn't sure what she wanted to do yet. Esme supposed that she would work it out soon enough; she had loads of time before she graduated. "Oh, that's really interesting. Animals definitely need healers as much as people do. Are you really good at reading creatures then?" Since they couldn't exactly talk, she thought that was a valid question. "I'm not sure what I want to do," she admitted. "I don't think I really excel at anything other than Divination." Aime was a nice name. "So he's a nice snake then? What kind is he?" She supposed he must be harmless since Hady got him when she was eight. |
SPOILER!!: Esme Hady smiled nodding her head. "I'm sure he'd like you being his friend very much." Chances were Hagan would be all over the girl every time he saw her now. Hope she really didn't mind it. Hearing the small squeak Hady's eyes fixed on the kids pocket. So she kept her pet in her pocket. Nice idea! Only Hagan was to big for that but he did fit inside her bag so that worked just as well for them. "Good idea! Nope she won't be getting her hands on either of them!" Ha! Old HagLady. "They do! I've always liked animals and I enjoy helping others so it just made sense for me." If it was something she really liked it was a good idea to stick with it. Reading creatures though wasn't all that easy. "Sometimes. It's not always as easy as it looks." Truth was it took a lot of work! She would get the job done though. All in good time. "That's alright you still have many years before you to decide." No rush really. "He is, yes. Aime is a Python so he's rather large now and kind of heavy but he's still incredibly sweet." Yes, yes she knew he could be dangerous also. |
