Azura slowly walked around, a soft smile on her face as she hummed softly..

What a lovely day to go for a stroll on the Grounds. Letting her hair free of the usual two braids, Rachel casually made her way to the Pathways. She wasn't sure why, it was just on instinct that she made her way for them. Perhaps her subconscious wanted to explore the many paths. Whatever the reason, she was happy about going there. She strolled on, enjoying the light breeze that caused a slight billow of her dark brown hair.

The first year noticed a figure ahead of her. It was an all too familiar one. "Azura!'' she called and increasing her pace to catch up with her friend. When she did, she fell in stride with the other girl. "Hello,'' she greeted her purple eyed and fellow Ravenclaw. "I hope I'm not disturbing you on your walk.'' Rachel now thought that perhaps Azura wanted to be alone.

Azura turned as she heard a familiar voice and her face lit up into a smile as she saw her friend and fellow dormmate. "Rachel!" She said as she stopped and turned around to wait for her.

"Hi! And of course you aren't disturbing me." Azura said kindly, she liked Rachel a lot and she wished they could hang out more! Though she knew that she was often busy with Haddie. Azura briefly wondered what it would be like to have a best friend that was actually.. you know.. around? Or one that you didn't like.

*sigh*

"Care to join me? I'm just sort of wandering." Azura said with a warm smile.

Rachel smiled again. She was happy that she wasn't disturbing Azura. Spending time with her dorm mates was fastly becoming one of her favourite things to do. "Yes, I would like that very much. I was thinking vaguely exploring some of the paths.'' She gestured at random to some of them. "There are so many.''

The girl took a moment to admire her surrounding and the plants there before looking back at Azura. "Is everything alright with you?" She had not missed the tension between her two friends- meaning, Azura and Jace. She wasn't sure what it was about and though she had wanted to ask, she did not think it was any of her business. She had hated seeing them, especially Azura, upset.

Azura smiled over at Rachel as she spoke. "There are many, and I have't been down here since Jazzy and I were here at the beginning of the term." She explained with a half wistful smile. She dearly missed her best friend, that time together had seemed like it had been half a life time ago.. So much had happened.. Maybe if he was still around..

No.. She still would have liked Jace.. sadly.

Azura pushed some of her dark hair behind her ear as she spoke and she nodded. "I think so, I don't know if you heard about what went down between Jace and I?" She asked her friend.. "I told him I liked him and well.. he didn't take it too well.." Heavy sigh..

"I didn't take being rejected to well either.. But we are friends now again! So that's good! It really is!! I have him back.. but.. I just.. still like him." Azura shrugged a bit..

"Other than that.. Everything is fine."

Rachel thought that Azura looked much as though she were reminiscing and so she allowed her friend a minute or two before speaking again. "You and Jasper should do that again sometime then. There's nothing better than spending time with your best friend.'' She would know; she experienced double the happiness when she was with Haddie and Garreth.

"I heard some things,'' Rachel admitted. "But I did not want to get into it because I wasn't sure if I should.'' She patted Azura's shoulder. "I thought so. You looked miserable during that time.'' She had some words of encouragement for Azura, however. "I'm happy you two are friends again. You're quit right to not let that set back keep you down. What I think you need to do is to keep being yourself and possibly one day things would be different between you two. I think it's because he's only eleven or twelve and isn't interested in this sort of thing right now.'' If that were indeed the case, then Rachel knew exactly how Jace felt. Yes, she and David may have crushes on each other but she was not particularly in any rush to get into anything.

Azura smiled warmly at Rachel as she spoke of her and Jasper walking down here again. She would give anything to hang out with him again.. "We shall have to once he's not so busy anymore.. I barely see him lately." She said with a nod. Her best friend was so busy with school work and drawing.. That she barely got a hello and a hug in every now and then. She was still worried that he was going to go to school in Australia next year as well.

Azura nodded as Rachel spoke.. "I tried to keep it quiet.. but it got out.. probably cause of the potions class." She said as she twisted her hands, her heart still ached at the thought of Jace getting threatened and beat up.. cause of her..

"Yeah, it didn't feel good.. It still doesn't, but it hurt more to not have him as my friend." She responded as she pushed her hair behind her ear..

"Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, and I am planning on being myself around him. I'm not expecting things to happen between us though.. It might, it might not. I just want him to be happy.. cause I love him.. like I love all my friends!" Azura loved all of her friends so much! She wanted them all to be happy.

Rachel thought that Azura could do with some more encouragement. ''He can't be busy forever. I'm sure he'll get tired of studying sometime and he'll miss you so you two will be spending time just like before.'' Studying was fun but it would get quite boring after a while. She knew this well.

"The lesson during which we all got poisoned you're referring to?'' Rachel could see how things would slip out then or after. She nodded understandingly. "It is better to have him as a friend than nothing at all.'' She smiled again and patted Azura on the arm. "You're a smart girl,'' Rachel said with approval at her friend's attitude. She giggled. "All of your friends love you too.'' To show that even she herself did, the brown eyed Eagle hugged the purple eyed one.

Azura smiled warmly at Rachel's words and she nodded. "I'm sure it will happen sometime, if not.. I'll pin him down on the train back home and make him hang out with me! He can't study there." She said with a soft laugh. She missed her friend a lot.. But What could she do? She just hoped eventually he would miss her and come find her..

Azura nodded. "Yes, That's when I figured it out, and told the entire class.. Thankfully most of us were poisoned, but Jace remembered." She said with a soft smile. Part of her almost wished she could have played it off, and denied the whole thing.. but..the truth was always best. At least she thought so. "It is! I'm so happy that he is my friends, I've missed him a whole lot! I'm so happy we are talking again." Why just the other day after she had won her duel, she had walked up and hugged the boy happily! That was enough..

"Thank you.." Azura said with a warm smile, before she giggled a little as Rachel hugged her! YAY! Azura liked hugs, she gave them often and she hugged Rachel back.. "I'm so glad to hear that.. So enough of me and my love woes.. how are you?" She asked her as she pulled back from the hug.

Azura's plan to force Jasper to hang out with her sent Rachel into peels of giggles. "Would you mind if I helped you with that? I really do believe that one best friend shouldn't ignore the other, whatever the reason maybe.'' She then nodded as her friend explained about the Potions lesson. "I really don't remember,'' she admitted. "I was possibly too caught up with being sick. I think we remembered what involved us. For instance, I recall being only mean to Esme.'' Even though it wasn't her fault, she still felt guilty of how she treated the Hufflepuff.

Rachel felt the hug being returned and said, ''If we ever argue, I'll give you one of these hugs so that we'd be friends instantly again.'' Hopefully they never would argue. Fights and arguments were silly and only hurt. "I don't mind listening to your woes. I'm here to help.'' She straightened up as the hug ended. "I'm am doing just fine. I've been busying myself with practicing new spells for the duels we'll be having.''

Azura giggled as Rachel started to laugh and she nodded. "Of course you can help me! The more the better!" She said with a shake of her dark head. She missed her best friend so badly! She had so much to talk to him about!

She nodded slowly as Rachel said that she didn't remember.. Well that was good at least..Though Az remembered saying some nice things about her! "Ohh really? I guess I didn't even notice that, I was too busy confessing my love for Jace." Azura shook her head a bit.. Wow.. that seemed like it had been so long ago and yet her feelings still remained..Sadly.. Hopefully she could use the summer to work on getting rid of them!

Azura smiled into the hug and she smiled at Rachel.. "I'm sure we will never argue, but that sounds good! We will hug and it will all be over." She was so sweet! Really she was! Azura just adored her dorm mate!

"Thank you Rachel, I am always here for you as well, anytime day or night." The purple eyed said as she smiled at her friend, she meant it too.. "Just come over and poke me and I'll wake up! I'm a light sleeper." She said with a warm grin before nodding at her words.

"Ohh! I've been doing that too! Have you learned any new ones?" Az asked curiously.

He'll get the message in no time.'' Or would he? Rachel was not exactly the one who went around threatening persons but Azura was a good friend and she would do anything to help her.

"Jace and everyone else,'' she replied with a giggle as she suddenly remembered Azura had said something about wanting to be like her. "Or were you trying to cover up the confession to Jace?"

"Thank you, Azura.'' Wasn't it lovely the way the Eagles were there for each other? Especially the first years. They were a tight knit group. "I'll be sure to do that. I don't expect you'll be grumps like Haddie when you're awoken,'' Rachel added with a slight giggle. She doubted Azura would throw a shoe at her.

"Kitty is teaching me the Cantis spell. It's the one that makes persons sing but I haven't mastered it as yet. What have you learnt so far?"

The little Ravenclaw burst into giggles as Rachel spoke about poking Jazzy with her cactus! The idea was so funny, but she figured it would work, right? "I'm sure he will get the message in no time! And that is a great idea Rachel, you need to do that." Oh Fwoopers! That would be hilarious!

Azura had the grace to blush a bit as Rachel spoke again about the potions class.

"No.. apparently mild poisoning is what makes my true feelings come out for people..ALL the people I know. So, no I wasn't covering up for Jace, I was just telling the world how much I loved them.. and then.. more than loved them." Azura bit her lip a little and shook her head.. She hoped to the Great Fwooper god, THAT never happened again.

She giggled a bit as Rachel spoke. "I don't think I have ever thrown a shoe, so you are safe." She chuckled a bit at that though.. Haddie was so amazing!

"Cantis!! I've been dying to learn that! She said with a bit of a shriek, "I've learned Avis and I'm trying to learn incarerous! But it's hard.. and I don't have it yet." She said with a nod.

Rachel smiled. Her work here was done. It really was for now until she spoke to Jasper. Her work here had simply been to cheer Azura up; to make her feel better about not seeing her friend as much as she liked. She was satisfied her friend was very giggly at this point.

Oh no! She hadn’t meant to make her friend get red. Rachel tried to make the situation a little lighter. “You and I need to keep this bit of information to ourselves. We wouldn’t want anyone else knowing mild poisoning is a weakness of yours.’’ Rachel was very lame and awkward when it came to jokes and she knew what a feeble attempt this one was.

“Thank goodness! I’ve learnt since then that shoes can be so dangerous.’’ Thank you for that, best friend. Rachel was struck by a brilliant idea at Azura’s excitement at the Cantis mention. “I can teach you if you like. Or Kitty can.’’ She loved how the Ravenclaws were working together as always. “I haven’t tried either of those. Those are advanced spells and I like that you’re already tackling them, Azura.’’

Azura laughed as Rachel joked with her. "Yes please, I don't want anyone to know one of my weaknesses! Mild poisoning, and Muggle Boy Bands." She added with a wink.. "And now you know them all, so please.. I'm trusting you to keep my secrets." She said with another giggle as she looked at Rachel..

The purple eyed girl had to put her hand over her mouth in order to not laugh out loud as Rachel spoke! "Yes, they can be dangerous, especially in Haddie's care." Azura agreed with a nod as she ran a hand through her long dark hair and pushed it behind her ear, she had left it down today, and the wind was trying to form it into knots!

Azura's eyes lit up at the prospect of her learning Cantis! "I would love that actually!! I'm dying to use it on someone! Imagine what they would sing?" She said with a soft giggle before grinning at Rachel.. "Well, Charms seem to be one of my things.. So I'm trying to test my limits.. I can manage to get birds out of my wands.. but not ropes." She said with a sigh.. "I'm going to practice over the summer with my family." She said with a nod.

Genny's hand slipped out of her pocket, dropping a bunch of candy wrappers onto the ground by mistake. A chocolate frog was stuck in her hand struggling to escape but she munched on it quickly savoring the chocolate-y taste. The last trip to Hogsmeade was such a win with all the candy she managed to get the older students to buy her. She applauded herself mentally on the back for being so persuasive. (she was not, she had to serve said students for a couple of days as payment).

School was coming to an end, and while everyone else were cooped up in the library rushing through books for exams, this one Gryffindor was strolling out in the perfect weather.

Katherine was out on this beautiful day too, to start reading second year's HoM book. She was going to remedy this year's failure next year, so she had to have a head-start. She'd even brought her notebook and highlighters. After reading 15 pages or so, she decided to take a break. She could study non-stop for 5 hours straight, for the record, but she was distracted by a bird and wanted to locate the animal to shoo it away. However, as she got up to her feet to find the annoying animal, she noticed the girl - Genny, David's friend - littering.

WHO did these people think they were?!

"Genny," Katherine called after her in a cool tone (her new shell was of this cool, no-nonsense girl to repel the idiots), "you're littering." So like, pick it up.

Genny spun around the moment she heard her name. The tone was a trademark of one little Ravenclaw. Katherine, a.k.a Kat. "Hey!" She replied enthusiastically, as she would, before knowing the purpose of this unusual social approaching from Katherine. "Huh?" Looking down and seeing some wrappers on the ground made Genny's cheeks go slightly darker. "Oh I didn't notice." She got down and started picking them up.

"Do you want some?" She was taught about sharing. She didn't enjoy it with candy much but right was right and wrong was wrong.

Wait, she was embarrassed and even got down to pick them up?

This.........was completely against the Gryffindor nature Katherine knew. But - now that Genny had admitted her fault, Katherine couldn't really hate her now, could she? She bent down to help her too, because that was right and she also didn't want to stand there awkwardly as if she'd bossed her around.

After seeing how Genny was enthusiastic about seeing her and even shared the candy with her, her mind went to her conversation with Blaise and she felt a pang of guilt for a split moment before she reminded herself that he was a lost cause.

"Yes, thanks," she said and smiled, "you're enjoying the weather too?"

Not knowing what to do with the wrappers now, she shoved them in her other pocket and moved the candy to the other one. The whole process took about a moment of concentration from the lioness but she managed it in time to give Katherine the chocolate frog box she'd offered. "Yeah. I got bored in the common room, everyone's being so quiet." Those older students fussing over OWLs and NEWTs were stressing her out. She had long to go through them.

"I see you're taking a walk out here, too." She smiled back at her and gestured for them to continue on their strolling. "You're the first Ravenclaw I see outside the library today." Hehe.

Katherine neatly tucked the wrapper in her pocket too, and watched the other girl curiously. She was impressed with how Genny managed to do it without causing another mess. How was Genny a Gryffindor, again?

She took the box and carefully opened it not to miss the charmed chocolate. Then, she took a bite from its leg and slowly ate as Genny spoke.

"OWLs and NEWTs are no joke," she commented seriously - she had already begun to develop a study scheme for when the time came. She couldn't afford to throw away all her future, y'know.

Errrrrr... she opened her mouth to gesture at her stuff under the tree and say she'd actually been studying too, but she caught herself at the last moment. She didn't want anyone to know that she'd been studying next years' classes; what if THEY would start doing that too and she was left out of the top five again? No, she had to look casual and as if she was juuuuuuuust another student enjoying the weather.

"I'd actually been reading some ancient history," she said, and gestured at her stuff under the tree. Luckily, she'd placed the book open, so Genny wouldn't be able to see the cover at all. "Give me one second, and I'll stroll with you." Without waiting for a reply, she quickly placed the rest of the frog back into its box and walked there. Carefully placing her body between the Gryffindor and the book, she snapped it close and stuffed it into her bag before gathering the rest of her things.

Once she was done, she hung her bag on her shoulders. It was visibly very heavy, but she'd long been accustomed to it (she liked to carry at least two textbooks, notebooks, pencil case and water bottle at once). Then, she turned to the other girl and grinned.

"Let's go!" ...to wherever Genny wanted to.
