Candace crunch CRUNCH crruuuuuuuuuuuuuuunch the snow and ice was loud as she stepped through the snow. Mel walked back and forth in the snow forth looking around at the snow laden ground for the perfect spot. There. This was it. Picking up a stray branch the short girl began to advance at a harmless tree smacking it into it and the base of the tree. The snow falling and climbing up the tree and sitting on one of the low hanging branches. |
SPOILER!!: Jesse/Mel The snow was pretty when it had just fallen the night before and everything was covered. It was so bright outside. So white. So fresh. So innocent. Noelle couldn't wait to get out into the snow to clear her mind. Noelle grabbed her big coat, scarf, and gloves over her regular clothes. She planned on staying out as much as she could. Being inside didn't seem to calm her nerves the way the outside did. Heading outside, she ventured towards the pathways. She'd start there and work herself around the grounds before doing some studying and practicing some spells. Hearing a noise, Noelle instantly grabbed her wand, her security blanket most days now. She only relaxed when she saw it was just a girl hitting a tree. "Hey, what are you doing?" |
Quote:
“Other maaaay say I was merely smacking snow off of it.” She shrugged and looked up at the Gryffindor girl. “I…I’m Melbourne by the way,” she smiled. “I don’t think I’ve met you yet” then again she hadn’t met everyone in the school. “I…honestly? I was sort of doing both? But tree branches aren’t the easiest to practice with.” She admitted. |
SPOILER!!: Colt! Ah see, that made more sense. Amur nodded in understanding, though her brow flinched in sympathy for the kid. She understood not having a father around, but her grandparents had always been there. Instead of focussing on that, however, Amur simply gave him a smile and nod. "Ask me again when we graduate." Then she would really know. He snuck out, did he? Amur watched him curiously, before giving in to her question. "Does that habit extend her to Hogwarts?" If so, she wanted to know how he got out past curfew and if it ever worked. These things were important to know. A small, smile crept onto her lips as she shrugged her shoulders. "Plenty of things." Her father was hard to explain, and his articles even harder. "I've got some in my dorm. I can bring them by sometime if you want to read them." Best explanation was exposure. Which, proved true for the dragon. Amur grinned in pride at his exclamation. "It's easy." Sort of. "Learned it in my first year. Honestly surprised no one else is using it around the castle. Everyone seems to have....forgotten about it." Turning to face him properly, Amur set the dragon down on her knee and looked around for something more substantial. She found a rock of decent size, and picked it up, offering it to Colt. "It's simple. The spell is 'draconifors'. And it's a slash wand movement at the target. If you want a bigger dragon, you have to enlarge it." |
Quote:
It was a good way to learn the movements of her wrist. She found a smal branch, one that wasn't much bigger than her wand. She picked it up and dusted the snow off of it. Walking forward and beside the girl, she held it up. "Hows this?" She asked. Melbourne. Unique name. Noelle smiled. "Um, I'm Summers. " She said debating on giving her first name or not just in case. She had heard there was a daily prophet article and she hadn't even wanted to read it. |
Quote:
“what year are you?” she asked because the girl looked older maybe it was just that she was a bit taller than her? And she hadn’t seen her get sorted so that also helped. “I was practicing accio earlier? And well…I got help a month or so ago with sticking charms” she admitted. “Now I can officially climb the stairs when they turn into slides” she smirked a bit and grinned at the girl. “that is a perfect branch I’d say” she grinned. “Summers? That’s a cool name…is it?...are you related to the quidditch family?” She asked unaware that she was the ‘missing’ Gryffindor she’d heard talk of. |
Quote:
A piece of snow fell on her head from a branch above and she giggled. Whoops. She shopkeeper it off and looked up with a giggle. "Im a second year. And I am just figuring out how to do some of the spells. Working on them anyways. The sticking spells are very helpful. Good job learning that early." She had learned it too but not for moving staircases. Melbourne didn't seem to reorganize her name and she amost have a sigh of relief. "Unfortunately no. The muggle Summers. My mom is a witch but my dad is a muggle." She hit the tree again. |
Quote:
When Noelle said the sticking charms were useful she just grinned. “So…do you use it for any reasons yourself?” She asked and grinned. “I mean…I want to visit a uh…friend that’s a boy” she admitted and flushed slightly. No. Stop blushing. ”stop blushing Melbourne you are better than this” she hissed quietly at herself and continued grinning at Noelle. “Oh that’s cool…no one in my family is famous or anything were just…normal wizards I guess?” She shrugged. “Except I’m forever jealous of my sisters ability to change her hair color at will” she nodded and smacked the tree again. “what spells are you looking to practice?” She asked because that was important. “we could practice them together if you want” she offered with a grin…”actually I kind of want to go into the forbidden forest someday after I know a lot of spells to keep me safe” she admitted and sighed “actually a friend does I kept warning her off but…wouldn’t it be safer not to have dangerous creatures lurking in the woods just off campus?” |
Quote:
She noted the blush and grinned at her question. But she decided to skip the question about her using it for other purposes. She didn't need to tell her she used it to sneak in the boys dorms once in a while. But to be fair, it was because she needed to feel safe. "So you have a crush. Who is this crush? Have you wrote him any notes or anything?" she was curious as to who it was too. "Also, anyone who I would know?" It felt good to talk about something so mundane. She hadn't had a chance to really think about boys and who she liked. Last year she had started the crushing thing, but this year, she was too busy trying to survive. |

“…” she opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out so she closed her mouth again and let out a little huff. “I don’t want to.” She admitted with an exasperated sigh. “I’ve…I guess I have more than one?” She admitted with a half laugh. “i…well…I don’t know? One is like a really close friend of mine the other’s in another house and well…honestly” she paused, “the one I like…d…the most was my neighbor and is my best friend and I shouldn’t like them” she paused, “he’s…they are in our house. Gryffindor.” She muttered and chewed her lip a bit. “You might know maybe you could help me get over this stupid thing because I’d rather like to not like friends as more than that” she huffed. "I just think its easier and...less messy to like people who aren't in a tight knit circle of friends" she admitted and chewed her lip. "And maybe someone not in my same house, less messy." She was being smart about this right? |
SPOILER!!: *clicke* This girl was a cutie. How was she only a year younger than her? Noelle felt so much... Older now. Had she been like that last year? It was adorable and Noelle relished in it. "More than one boy? Wow! I've not even had one boyfriend yet!" Noelle told Mel. She grinned though because she had kissed a boy. Her best friend. "Hmmm that is tough. I don't know what to tell you. Sometimes it's good to be friends before you date, or I would think so at least." Again, she didn't have the experience to back up what she was saying. "So who are these boys? Or girls?" No judgement here. |

She learned the dragon spell in her first year? "Woah I didn't learn that. Good thing I have you teaching me." He was probably busy learning other important spells in Durmstrang. "I was learning other spells in Durmstrang." he told her as a little excuse. Then he saw Amur giving him a rock. He grabbed it from her and placed it down a little confused how this rock would became a dragon but he went along with it. He got his wand out and decided to give the spell a try. He slashed his wand and said, "draconifors!" and nothing happened. "Huh...that didn't work." Well that was embarrassing to say the least. |
SPOILER!!: <3 Melbourne didn’t know that Noelle thought she was cute…if she did she probably would have tried to capitalize on that cuteness. Ask why she thought she was cute…because really, maybe she could get away with things by using it to her advantage? Mel nodded, “yeah…I don’t have a boyfriend either” she huffed a bit and wrung her hands together. “I’ve been warned y’know…by my baby-sitter and by family that I should wait and know what I want first” she bit her lip. “But my sister has basically been with the same guy since her third year and my other sister hasn’t dated anyone ever…except apparently this weird guy” she shrugged. Mel nodded. “Good to know…oh no girls…I just…I’m not sure about that? I’m not against it though I’m open to whatever feelings happen but I still don’t want them. Feelings that is.” She shrugged. “um…there’s this guy I met whose also an orphan so…I get him and he well…would get me too? And then there’s this uh…slytherin boy and my best friend” she muttered….”you might know him he’s loud has really curly hair?” Mel shrugged a bit and blinked at Noelle. |

Noted. Scratched down. Burned into memory. Winchester would be hearing from her again soon, in regards to this matter. Being careful not to look toooooooo interested, Amur switched her slow nod for a quicker one. "I'll bring them around tomorrow at breakfast." Which meant she had to go back to the dorms and figure out which ones were the best to bring. For now, however, it was dragon-creation-practice time. Which, fell a bit on it's face. Not that it hadn't when they had learned the spell in the beginning, so it was understandable. Amur nudged the rock closer. "Durmstrang? Surprised they wouldn't have been all over the dragon spells." Really. Durmstrang and dragons? Kind of went together, didn't it? Just like Hogwarts and big, hairy spiders. Cue uncomfortable shiver. She nudged the rock again to distract herself. "Are you picturing it? Because you have to imagine the dragon you want. From snout to tail. It's not one of those spells that'll do all the work for you. You've got to want a dragon, and believe that you can have it." Perhaps one other small detail? "Oh. And you're responsible for it if and when you create it. You control it. It's not really, a real dragon." Cue a sigh. It was a pity really, but at the same time it made the spell more moral. Really, she was giving a rock, twig or flower a chance to become something quite epic for a period of time. |
For Haddie! The weather was slowly growing nicer and it was one of those days the sun was shining. There was a light breeze blowing every now and then whipping her brunette hair around her face seeing as she once again had left it down. Pushing a stray hair from her eyes Hady continued walking along one of the many paths. She didn't have a place in mind that she was going just that she was going. Taking a break. The only problem with this was the silence. It was so quiet. Where was everyone at now that the weather was getting nice? |
Other Hady Quote:
And thus, Haddie comically bundled herself up and braved the still very cold in her mind but not ungodly cold like it had been to enjoy the first relatively nice day in a long time. She had just been wandering for the most part, enjoying being outside again when it wasn't for a class. And... who was that? Haddie squinted a little to get a clearer image and her eyes when wide with excitement, the wide grin hidden behind her scarf. It was her name twin and proof that all Hadleys were awesome. "Hady!" The little firstie, who honestly wasn't that little as she was currently a little over two inches taller than the older Slytherin, rushed up to Hady excitedly. "Hi! Whatcha up to? Want company?" |
SPOILER!!: Haddie More and more lately it seemed that Hady would end up in a little world all of her own. Either she was humming to herself, practicing various spells and charms, reading, dancing or just completely and utterly lost in her own thoughts. Not that the girl cared one bit for she was getting things done but it was good to focus on other things as well. That's why there was no practicing, humming or dancing happening right now. All she was doing was taking in the sun poking through the clouds, the cool breeze and qui- Or well she was. There had been complete silence just a moment. Nothing more then some birds chirping had been her company before the very loud shout of her name rang out around her and a blonde who many be taller then her but was still younger rushed her way. Shaking her head with quiet laughter she smiled lightly. "Hello Haddie, I'm just taking a walk with no real goal of anything in mind and you're more then welcome to come along if you like." The more the merrier for the most part but she couldn't ensure anything fun would happen unless they made it so. "How've you been?" Now that that Hag/lady was gone and such. |
SPOILER!!: Hady Haddie nodded. "Walking sounds good. I could walk." At least it was outside and doing something other than sitting. Walking was so much better than sitting in the mind of the overly active preteen. And being outside was better than being inside, even if it was cold. "Going stir crazy in the castle too?" There might have been the teeniest bit of hope in her tone. She would love to have something else in common with older Hadleigh. When asked how she had been, the first year was noticeably quiet, hesitating for a long, lingering moment. Then she shrugged, like she always did. Naturally, Haddie's conversation crutch would be a physical gesture and not a word like um, uh, or like. "Alright, I guess." She didn't elaborate. "How'd you do in your duel? I lost. But it was really close! And so much fun!" |
SPOILER!!: Younger Haddie Good her need for just walking was a go. This was good and it would keep her busy and somewhat focused on something more then just studying. Hady cast a sideways glance at the younger girl and smiled a little before taking to walking once more. Stir crazy? Her? "Not exactly. No, more like my brain needed a break from everything," she answered with a small laugh. Studying. Homework. Lessons. Animagi training. Portrait painting. It got to be a lot on top of everything else. "I tend to come outside no matter the weather." Hady being Hady took notice to her younger name twins simple shrug of the shoulders and lack of a long winded reply. Alright was a better answer then terrible or the girl breaking down in tears. "That's good." It was. Nothing more needed to be said on that. The fifth year nearly laughed when asked about her duel. It had been funny. "I won the first round." How she wasn't sure but she had. "I'm sure you'll win the next round! Have you worked on any new combinations you want to try for your next duel?" |
Hope was bored of doing her studies. She was already in trouble with her dad and knew she wouldn't see the light of day when she got home, so she decided to get out and see the beautiful lands of hogwarts. Of course she needed to take the path ways. She trudged down the paths, kicking a rock that was in her path. She thought of Spencer and Noelle. Also Sabbath and José. This year had been great. A smile spread across her face. She'd miss spencer, José and sabbath. She sighed. |
SPOILER!!: Name twin Haddie nodded, knowingly. "That too." School was a lot more exhausting when you actually wanted to learn the things taught. She'd actually wish to go back to muggle school so she could just not care again, if, you know, they weren't learning magic and having a blast. "It'll be harder next year when I add animagus training to everything," she mumbled, thinking aloud. That was, if she even came back next year. Defiantly she swore both things would happen. She'd be back and learning to turn into her spirit animal at will. Haddie nodded again. "I will." It was a statement of fact. Yep yep yep. She was absolutely going to win her next duel. She'd almost won her last duel, and with all it taught her, there was no doubt. "I have. Well, not so much combinations, just new spells to use and such." That was good too, right? "Any dueling tips?" Hady had won her duel after all, and had more experience in dueling so, yep. A good person to get advice from. |
SPOILER!!: Haddie A small smile played at the corner of her lips. This first year was smart Hady could tell. It didn't take much to learn that being here at Hogwarts while fun most of the time was a LOT of hard work. Spells, potions and all things great didn't come without a price. And the price paid was tons of practice and even more time. The mumbled words of the taller yet younger blonde caught this snakes attention. "Animagus?" Training in her second year? Had she spoken with Nana about this? Haddie's confidence was a good thing. "I'm sure you will. Learning new spells is always good." It what she did. Many spells beyond her year. Most of which she had taught herself to do. Tips? Hady smirked. "Remember movement is always good as is combinations. Most times one spell can be blocked or dodged but it's tougher to get out of the way of two." |
SPOILER!!: Hady The young Californian smiled and nodded. "Yep. I wanted to start animagus training this year, but Professor Ichihara wouldn't allow it. She gave me three books to read so I could really decide if I wanted to train to be one, and said that if I did that we could see about starting training next year." She punctuated it with a small bounce, the excitement clear in her voice. "I can't wait. I've dreamed of being able to turn into an animal all my life and now it's actually possible. I don't care how hard it is. Or how long it takes." She would be an animagus. Haddie nodded as she listened to the older Hady's tips. Movement. That had gotten her last duel. "I didn't move a lot last duel, and that's what cost me the win. If I had, I might have noticed my shoes were glued to the floor before it was too late." She grinned, partially remembering the fun she had had in that duel and partially out of embarrassment. "I should practice casting two spells back to back. Right now doing that still tires me out quickly." Or she jumbled the wand movements or slurred the incantations... "Definitely need more practice on that. I'll cheer for you in your next duel!" |
SPOILER!!: Haddie Hady just gaped at the younger girl. It wasn't shock at all but more of surprise that Professor Ichihara would start training someone of their second year. Blinking a few times and trying to regain her thoughts she finally smiled at the blonde beside her. "Just make sure you're really ready for it, it's a ton of hard never ending work." The reading, learning of spells and practicing, quizzes and whatnot. It got to really be a lot. Not to mention it was time consuming especially on top of lessons and such. She should know since she was going through it already herself. Ah. A lot of the younger ones didn't remember to move around as well. It happens. Herself included didn't always remember. "A moving target is always tougher to hit, keep that in mind." Hady nodded in agreement. "Combinations are always helpful. They don't have to be strong either sometimes a distraction is the best option." She was learning this herself. "Thanks and I'll be cheering for you as well." Grin. |
For Rachel/Ali! The weather was finally started to warm up enough for Azura to want to go outside for the first time in quite awhile, and it seemed her feet drew her almost naturally to the Pathways.. It felt like a lifetime ago that she and Jazzy were here.. Talking together.. And now.. he was so busy, she barely saw him. Sometimes she wished she could talk to him, to tell him everything that had been going on.. Liking Jace, losing Jace.. getting Jace back..Her magic going wonky.. Losing her duel.. winning her duel.. SO much had happened.. Azura slowly walked around, a soft smile on her face as she hummed softly.. |
