The Courtyard is a cloister on the base of the Hogwarts Castle. This cloister seems to be one of the older parts of the castle and the ceiling and walls are dilapidated. Serving as the last area before approaching Hogwart's entrance doors, it also leads to the Wooden Bridge.
In the centre of the courtyard is an antique fountain surrounded by statues of eagles. Perfect for relaxing and making wishes at. Beware, once you toss in a coin, you can never get it back as the water surface sinks deeper and deeper preventing your hand from ever reaching inside to retrieve it. A pear tree also grows in this courtyard, free of worms making it safe to snack from.

And Chloe knew a thing or two about animals. Since she'd grown up around all kinds of them all over the world.
So she was going to sit outside and read a few comics in peace. Unless older students decided to smush their faces together out here too.
Charlotte had decided just now that it would be cool to be a spy one day when she grew up. Maybe. Or a private detective. Follow people around without them knowing. Today she wasn't planning on following anyone around though, just figuring out who she SHOULD follow around. Had to be someone interesting, and not BORING or what would be the point? Also probably someone a bit dumb so they would be less likely to notice her.
She was musing on this as she walked out into the courtyard, figuring since lots of kids walked through there she might SEE someone interesting.
But she didn't. Instead she got distracted by a girl with big hair reading comics. Hmmmmm. CHAR LIKED COMICS.
She edged closer to try and see.

Chloe noticed Charlotte before she even got close enough to look at her comic. She was always semi-aware of the Gryffindor because, honestly, she was one of the crazy ones she tried to steer clear of in any class where things could explode. The fellow second year seemed the type to want to do that kind of stuff.
Gryffindors.
The blonde snapped her comic shut, "Can I help you?" Chloe liked comics too but she had a thing about people hovering. It made her uncomfortable.

Of course, he knew what her response would be before he asked it, but it was still nice to have it confirmed. It was actually kind of strange to think how long they'd been friends for now. The time seemed to fly by, and yet it was as if nothing had changed between them... or... well... that wasn't quite right, but it wasn't too different to the friendship they'd had before.
Still, amusingly, now they were dating each others room mates. HA. Didn't see that one coming. Really.
Zeke smiled, giving her a gentle side bump, "Thanks, for being around, you're good people." Probably more than he deserved. BUTTTT... he needed to get on. Rising from his spot on the edge of the fountain, he leaned in and gave Hady a quick hug good bye. "I've gotta go though, but I'll catch you later... and if you see Frankie, give him a punch from me... or something." Mmmm, he deserved a good smacking or something, and she could interpret that how she wanted. Hehe.
There was a light bump to her side and as always since they became friends she shifted her weight just enough to bump him back. "I'm there for those that are there for me," Hady replied with a small grin. Like him. He had always been there for her no questions asked. Even now that he was dating Maggie, Zeke was still there when she needed him to be.
Hady slid an arm around him for a brief moment welcoming the quick hug. "Should be easy to do, I'm always around." But wait, what? Why should she do that? Blinking at him in confusion she shrugged. "Maybe I will? Do I even want to ask why?" Chances were it was a guy thing and she really didn't want to know anyhow.
Shortly after the Gryffindor and Slytherin exchanged a hug, a barn owl hooted with determination, clearly in the middle of a very important task he was set on completing posthaste. Pancake hooted once again as he approached the person he, as instructed by his master, was to find. After swooping down and circling the girl to get her attention, he landed on one of the eagle statues near the fountain. His leg was already stretched out before the girl was close enough, brandishing the note attached to his leg:
Hogwarts RPG Name: Gabriella Rose Rustokova (#CCOOCC)

SPOILER!!: Frankie (Zeke post above)
Shortly after the Gryffindor and Slytherin exchanged a hug, a barn owl hooted with determination, clearly in the middle of a very important task he was set on completing posthaste. Pancake hooted once again as he approached the person he, as instructed by his master, was to find. After swooping down and circling the girl to get her attention, he landed on one of the eagle statues near the fountain. His leg was already stretched out before the girl was close enough, brandishing the note attached to his leg:
Photos!: Note
"HOO-HOO. HOO-HOO."
As she had been talking to Zeke, Hady wasn't entirely to focused on their surroundings. His story and their talk was by far much more interesting to her then anything that might have been happening in the Courtyard.
The sudden hooting of an owl, a very close owl none-the-less captured her attention drawing her out of her little bubble. Hazel eyes swinging around they nearly instantly fell upon the source of noise. An owl of course. Just not any owl though. One she had seen a few times over the summer when it had delivered letters to her home. Frankie's owl Pancake.
The smile on her face at seeing Pancake was undeniable and surely Zeke didn't miss it. Without wasting another second the girl reached over and carefully untied the note from his leg before running a gently hand over the birds feathered head. She would've given him a treat had she had one, only she didn't.
Unrolling the note she quickly read with was written there. The spare office on the sixth floor? At dinner time? But why? Strange little note as it was she would be there. Rolling the parchment up she placed it into her pocket with a quick look at Zeke then to the owl. "Thank you Pancake, you can go to the owlry now." This left her with one question. What was going on?

It was getting COLD and Scarlett did not like the cold. Sure, it was a great opportunity to dress up her outfits with scarfs and cute ear warmers, but other than that, winter was just useless. At least she had Florida to look forward to! Her dad had written her and told her they were all going on a trip for the holidays to America and she could not WAIT!
Creating a shopping list of outfits she still had to buy before the big trip, she settled into the courtyard and started to write it out with her color changing quill. She'd saved most of her allowance money and actually NOT used it at Hogshead so she was pretty sure she could afford all these new tank tops and bikinis...

It was chilly and as a general rule, Rachel stayed out of the cold weather if she could help it. But not today for she wanted to have a bundle of flowers so she could liven up the first year girls' dorm of Ravenclaw House and a bundle for one of her favourite student leaders, Tia. She had stopped to pick roses and carnations at the Greenhouses before deciding to wander the grounds for a bit.
The Courtyard was one of her stops.
She skipped along, flowers clutched in her hands and plaits bouncing against her shoulders. Oh, hello! There seemed to be someone who was enjoying the cold. Rachel had seen her around and vividly remembered seeing her being Sorted. Would she mind being disturbed? "Hello,'' she said softly. If the girl was too observed in her writing Rachel would just leave.

Kaycee sat in one of the open window spaces in the courtyard. It was too cold to actually be outside, but she felt the pathway offered at least a little protection.
After getting comfortable, she whipped out a book and an apple. Balancing the book in her lap, she started munching on the apple. Nothing like crisp fall air to keep you from falling asleep while doing homework.

Colt thought it would be a great day to get some skateboarding done and what not better way to do it then in the courtyard. This place had tons of areas to grind on like the benches and the stairwells leading to the corridors it was perfect. He already packed his board into his bag and walked toward the center of the courtyard. He sat down next to this girl, who was eating an apple? Hm I guess people in hogwarts try to eat healthy. He even noticed she was trying to do some homework. He rolled his eyes but he looked over and couldn't make it out. "Was there any homework due in classes today?" He hoped there wasn't but he did promise to be more studious this year.
While he waited for her answer, he began to put on his skateboarding shoes.

Kaycee glanced up. "Yeah. Might not have been for you though. OWLs, you know?" she replied with a smile. "You skateboard?" she asked glancing at the board in the boy's hand.
"Are you going to right now?"
Because, in that case, Kaycee would totally ignore her homework to watch.

"Oh OWLS? Aren't those like big tests or something. I heard about them but never cared to know about them." I mean why would he? I mean why worry about a test you take in your fifth year when your a fourth year. You got a whole year left. He was playing with his skateboard when he heard the girl ask him. He nodded and smirked. "Yeah I do. This is what I do when I am avoiding studying or doing homework.." In all honesty that is what he does. He bet she did the same. "Am I going to skateboard now?" he repeated his question. "Oh bloody merlin yeah. I am guessing you wanna join?" I mean come on put the book down. Live in the moment. "Where do you normally skateboard?" he asked in case she had a better place to board.
He wanted to know her name and said, "The name is Colt. Colt Winchester." Just so she had some name to a face.

Was she holding a bunch of flowers in her hand? Hmm. That was...random. But intriguing. Scarlett couldn't help but wonder why she was carrying flowers, in the middle of November no less. She grinned at the girl and set aside her list.
"Hi!...Um, where did you get those?" she asked curiously. All the flowers on the grounds had pretty much died off for the year. Had Myers let her take them from the greenhouses? SO MANY QUESTIONS. MUCH CURIOUS.

"JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOUNG LADY?!" Mason asked in her best teacher impersonation.
Mason didn't know whether Mel was trying to be stealthy or ironic. With that bright yellow backpack, a blind man on the moon would have been able to spot her on her attempt to sneak out.
"Are you going somewhere, dearest Mel?" she asked the girl with a signature Slytherin-Smirk. "And without me at that. You know how much I love an adventure."
"I don't know how you thought that you could sneak around wearing that." she scolded her, "Rule number one, wear something dark. Merlin, what would you do without me?" she shuddered dramatically and took Mel by the arm.

She looked down at her flowers. "The Greenhouses.'' She then looked back at the girl with a smile. ''Some of the flowers there are still in bloom. I'm certain there's a spell placed on the Greenhouse.'' It would make sense because of what Hady had told her. "An older friend of mine told me there's a spell that can keep them alive even after being picked so I would like to think there's another spell that could keep them alive in the cold. That or perhaps Professor Myers used a Heating Charm to keep the Greenhouses at the perfect temperature.'' The latter being what her parents used on their own Greenhouse.
The Eagle held out one of her flowers. "Would you like to have this one?"

"I could just duplicate your board." She assumed that would be okay. "You don't mind, do you?" she asked already whipping out her wand.

Mason scrunched up her nose and frowned at the Gryffindor, "The Creature-Holding Area?" she asked, "I have no idea what or where that is to be honest."
Mason raised her brows and smirked at Mel, "Oh really? You know me, Mel. Always up for a challenge." Mason look the bracelet from the girl and frowned at it, "Wait. . . did you just say 'flea collar'? What are we going to do? Try and get a look at the mythical Fluffy?"
Mason frowned for the who-knows-how-manieth-time, "English please, Mel! Is 'Bond' like some sort of spell or creature or what?" She honestly had no clue.
Probably something Muggle-ly.
Mason gawked at her, "Why in the world would you even do that?? Please tell me it's for a potion or something?" Oh Sweet baby Merlin, "Your babysitter who's not dead told you that?"
After a long silence, Mason gave a mischievous smirk and nodded her head.
"Not-dead babysitters, fleas and random 'Bond-ing-thingies'. That sounds like my kind of adventure. I'm totally in, dude!"

"Oh, no, I'm just...making a shopping list. My family is going to Florida over the holiday break so I'm preparing for when I go home so I can pack accordingly," Scarlett explained with a grin. Basically, her priority was to get at LEAST two new bikinis. She'd even been holding off on buying everything in sight at Honeydukes on Hogsmeade visits so she could for SURE afford them.
"Oh, sure, thank you!" she said with a smile as the girl offered her a flower. Was she for sure a Ravenclaw? Because she seemed so...HAPPY. Like a Hufflepuff! "And I'm Scarlett, by the way. I'm a first year - you're in my year, right?" she asked, knowing that she HAD to have seen her in classes.

A trip to Florida sounded heavenly. "I see you like to prepare well in advance,'' Rachel said with a smile. She thought that was a nice trait... always being prepared. "I know you're going to have a lot of fun there. I've never been to Florida but I have seen pictures of it. There are lovely beaches and the scenery is beautiful.''
"You're welcome. Flowers always brighten up my day even more.'' Hopefully, this one would do the same for this girl's. "It's lovely to meet you, Sacrlett. Yes, I am. I'm Rachel and I'm in Ravenclaw House.'' She paused to smile then continued. "I thought that I was going to be Sorted into Hufflepuff because my daddy told me I had their traits but the Sorting Hat seemed to have a different idea.'' But she loved Ravenclaw just as much. "Did your parents attend Hogwarts, too? Were they Hufflepuffs?"
Kaycee laughed. "I can do that." She had a pretty regular supply of soda. That would work out nicely.
"I could just duplicate your board." She assumed that would be okay. "You don't mind, do you?" she asked already whipping out her wand.
"No. I haven't. But I have a pretty good sense of balance." She was a dancer. So the chances were low that she'd actually fall. She had excellent control.
"Sweet just letting you know, I usually like root beer or diet coke." If she knew the muggle types of soda he would be impressed. "Or if you are not muggle savy I usually take pumpkin juice." Duplicate his board? He frowned and didn't think about that. "Yeah that is fine." Just don't damage anything. He saw Kaycee using her wand and was hoping things would go well. "Hmm that is interesting. I thought you were a skater. I mean you have the look.." he said observing her outfit and hairstyle. "Alright what you can do after you duplicate is practicing pushing off. You put your strong foot at the kick off foot." Seems logical right. He was terrible at explaining things but he hoped Kaycee could understand.
