"Hi. I want hugs." And attention. PAYYYY ATTENTION TO MEHHHH KYROHHHH. Ahem. Yup. Just totally normal things right here. "How was your summer?" The parts she didn't experience anyway. |

And as to her hair, she self consciously touched it and shook her head, "My sister." The one who had abandoned again for another year of adventures with their father. SPOILER!!: Jasper Chloe's nose was practically touching the comic with how intently she was judging it-- not reading but judging-- when the boy came up next to her. She was startled at first by the invasion of her privacy but he asked about the comic. And that put her a little more at ease. The second year Ravenclaw glanced between the comic and the boy, "I'm Chloe. And I do. Catwoman's the best." Notice the wording of that. Not her favourite, just the best. This one was her first Wonderwoman comic ever. She didn't read much of the stuff outside of Gotham stuff. Sticking to what she knew. This was her first venture out of that. It was okay but it had problems. Hence the red marks she was putting in the comic to return to her friend. |
Thorton, Austin The Grey Lady and Jazzy SPOILER!!: Thorton Azura turned her bright purple eyes to the older boy who had sat next to her and she swallowed a bit nervously! EEEK! She bit her lip a little before composing herself and managing a small nervous smile. "Thank you, I had heard about it." She said as she managed to keep her hands on the table and not in her black hair! "I'm Azura Kennedy, it's nice to meet you Thornton and thank you. It's very nice to be here!" It felt like it had been ages in coming, but she was finally here! Ravenclaw! She was ready!! "You are a prefect? Congratulations." She said kindly as she noticed his badge. "Is there anything I should know about the house?" She asked him curiously. SPOILER!!: Austin Azura leaned back a bit and her purple eyes peered around Jasper as she noticed another older boy greet him! She blinked at him before smiling a little and introducing herself. "Hi, I'm Azura." She said with a smile as she waved at him. Any friend of Jazz's could be hers right? Right! She was going to go with that! Besides, the more people she knew.. the better! SPOILER!!: The Grey Lady Ohhh!! Azura's purple eyes went wide as the Grey Lady moved over to her and Jazz and she bit her lip as she explained to Jasper what she was. "I'm Azura Kennedy, It's very nice to meet you, Lady Ravenclaw." Was that all right? Could she call her that? She hoped she could!! She had never really spoken to a ghost before! SPOILER!!: Jazzy Azura managed a small smile at Jazz as she tried to calm down, really she wasn't going to keep any friends this way, all this panicking!! She looked over at him as his gaze shot to her and she bit her lip a little and shrugged, she didn't want to explain to him right now what was going on in her mind, perhaps later in the common room! She was just scared that was all. Scared she was going to lose her friend.. and unsure of why he meant to much to her!! "I'm glad to hear it." She said softly as she let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding.. His smile was fwoopering her mind again and she felt slightly mushy.. She gave him another warm smile, trying to calm down.. When she felt his hand on her back, she looked down at the table and bit her lip a little.. He was comforting her! And it was all she could do to not burst into tears!! She finally turned to look at him, "Thanks Jazz." She whispered up to him. "I'll talk to you later about what's up all right?" Right now, in the middle of the din of people and noise, was not the best place for a full conversation! |
If someone else spoke to us and we missed you just poke me! SPOILER!!: Abby & The Grey Lady!! Fuss?? "I'm not making that much noise." He offered a large smile. Only a little bit of noise, and a little bit of noise in the giant hall was nothing. "Plus, aren't you hungry too-" All of a sudden his words were cut off as a sudden ripple of cold flooded through him. It felt like he had plunged into the black lake and there was no return. His lungs felt as though they had turned into pure ice and then it was all over. Shivering violently Kyroh's eyes fell onto the house ghost. Yup. He was certain, the Grey Lady HATED him. Had to be. Still shaking he couldn't even remember what he had been saying Quote:
Oh. Kaycee. Hugs? "Okay." She didn't have to tell him twice. His arms wrapped around her and he pulled her close. YAY making her happy with hugs! Annnnd stealing her body heat. "It was great. I taught dance to little kids in my free time. How was yours???" |
Haddie and Julia mentioned "Nice to meet you Julia Reynolds" said Kitty after she shook her hand. She frowned in confusion as Julia asked her if Kitty Darkness was short for anything. "Um...I don't think it is. It's just my name. My original name was Kitty Dugray Valentine. Eck!" She made a face. "So I changed Dugray to Darkness to fit my Gothic style." She displayed her pale hands and black nails to prove the point. Then back to Haddie, she said "I first found my style when I was twelve. You'll probably know which one is yours pretty soon." Then she switched the subject. "Do you have any brothers or sisters here? I don't, I'm an only child." |
Olivia & Anyone else. Quote:
Now that she was properly sorted Sollys could officially call herself a student at Hogwarts. She happily made her way over to the Ravenclaw table and took a seat among her housemates. Sollys slipped into the first empty seat she found. once seated she noticed that her uniform and robes now sported the Ravenclaw house colors on them. Blue was her favorite color so with out question she instantly loved the new colors. She sat a little straighter in her seat feeling quite pleased with herself as someone said hello. She looked up and smiled.Hello.She answered back as the girl (OLIVIA)sat next to her. She extended out her hand" Sollys James." She introduced. |

And the ghost that could only be Lady Ravenclaw was there at the table too. |

And first problem: where was she supposed to sit? There didn't appear to be too many gaps for the tomboy to fit in. But then she saw two faces she recognised from the sorting queue, and she tapped them lightly on the shoulder. "Room fa' one mor'? Me name's Sam." |
Abby smiled at Kyroh and said "Of course i am hungry too and okay i guess a little bit of noise is acceptable" that was what Abby liked about Kyroh he was always hungry but made like simple |
So many people! I've lost track but it's so nice to meet you all! Ailsa nudged Haddie as the Grey Lady gave the three girls a polite chiding. "Told you." Seeing Haddie momentarily shocked was more fun than it should have been and Ailsa had to remind herself not to be too hard on her cousin. This was all very new even for Ailsa and it had to be much more stressful for someone like Haddie who hadn't grown up with any real background in it. All things considered, better to cut her cousin a little slack. Lost in her inner thoughts, the ginger girl didn't even notice when Garreth sat down on the opposite side of the table. At least, not until Rachel piped up, first to greet Garreth and then to reassure Ailsa that her little panic on the train hadn't made them think too badly of her. "Oh thank gods! I'm not usually like that and I don't know what happened and I'm really sorry..." The realisation of rambling hit just a hair too late as Ailsa blushed and reigned her overactive mouth back in. "Sorry. An' yeah, Haddie and I are a wee bit different, but that's Americans for you." This last comes with an uncharacteristically playful grin in Haddie's direction. The grin shifted into a shy smile as Ailsa's attention turned to Garreth. "You look very nice," there's a pause before a hurried addition, "with that tie I mean. It's a very nice tie. Did Rachel get it for you? Friends always know the best things to get people..." Lacking the ability to find another way out of her awkward she simply let herself trail off. Thankfully the Grey Lady passed by and Garreth had his own sudden stumble, which elicited a slight giggle of commiseration from Ailsa. For a while, the girl simply allowed herself to observe her surroundings in happy reverie but, as with all good things, it came to an end. This time with Haddie introducing her as Elsa to a mildly stunned looking girl (Julia). "It's Ailsa, no' Elsa. Can you no' be telling the difference you coof?" Ailsa's expression remained equally friendly, though less exasperated, as she transitioned from correcting Haddie to addressing the new girl, who, it turns out, is accompanied by a second, older, girl. "Nice to meet you, Julia," she said, extending a hand in a more traditional greeting than her cousin's had been. "And you too," she added, to the other girl (Kitty). |
Mentions of the grey lady, jasper, and azura "I've had a pretty decent summer. Nothing exciting to report. What about yourself?" He wasn't sure what the ghosts here did during the summer, since there weren't any students here. But he figured he would be polite and ask anyways. Plus it would be pretty interesting to see what The Grey Lady went on her vacation. As he was about to respond to Jasper, he heard someone else call his name. She was sitting near Jasper, and must have known him. She seemed young enough to be a first or second year, so maybe she was a new Ravenclaw. But if he went out and welcomed her to the house, and she wasn't new, he could offend her there was no way he was going to do that. But there was something about her that was different than everyone else. He ended up going with the classic: "Hello, Azura, I'm Austin." It took a few seconds, but he suddenly realized what was so strange about her. Her eyes were purple. How would one get purple eyes? There was always something new with this school. "You have the most beautiful eyes." Which was saying something, coming from him. His bright eyes were the bluest around. |

Julia SPOILER!!: Julia So Julia was her name. "Nice to meet you Julia", Janelle replied. The first year's question made her smile. "It took a little while to get used to all the craziness, but not too long." Janelle thought back to her first feast. She knew exactly how Julia felt. "My mom's a witch and my dad's a muggle, but I grew up in the muggle world. A lot of this was new to me. It can be a bit.........overwhelming at first. Don't worry though, you'll be an old pro in no time." Annnd she was gone. Janelle could understand the younger girl's attention wandering. There was so much to take in at the feast. Well Janelle was there, if Julia needed anything. She was sure that the firstie would be fine. |
Well...he'd had better start of terms before that was for sure. Now he was going on his 3rd year and he was back where he'd started last term. He was feeling a bit better though now that he'd taken something for his cold or whatever it was that he had caught from Timmy. Finding an empty seat Chris did his best to sit away from everyone and laid his head on the table. Maybe he could sleep through the speech. That sounded like a plan. |
Chloe and Azura SPOILER!!: Chloe Jasper noticed that the girl, who he had guessed to be around his age, if not a bit older, was pretty short on words. For someone as shy as him normally, that made things a bit awkward. But he had already started to talk to her. He wasn't going to just give it up now! "She is one of DC's best characters" he agreed with Chloe. Before realising he should've probably just said that she was the best character that DC had. He liked DC, but he preferred other comics. Like Marvel. Probably not best to mention that. "The joker was also a great character though... and one of the better villains throughout the comics." While his voice was probably still a bit weaker due to his shyness, at least he was showing that he actually did know a bit about comics. SPOILER!!: Azura Jasper was really confused now. He had been the one who had to be comforted before. In the train. And she had managed. Now in the middle of a feast, with people around them and her wanting to wait to talk to him later, he wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't exactly hug her again. Nodding slightly, he looked at her in concern. They were meant to be happy! They were meant to be excited! They had gotten into the same house, like they had hoped to! He hadn't thought that it would end up in a situation like this... Managing to give her a smile though he responded. "That's fine," he commented, about talking later. Thinking about what she did with him earlier, he leaned over slightly to her to make sure she could hear what he was saying A grin was on his face at the last one as he leaned back to look at her, finally drawing his hand away from her back. |
Austin and Jazz SPOILER!!: Austin Azura smiled as Austin greeted her, "It's nice to meet you Austin, I'm so excited to be in Ravenclaw and meeting so many new people." She said with a warm smile as she took a breath, meeting new people was hard, but somehow, being here in her new house.. and meeting fellow housemates.. Was making it easier for her to talk! She wasn't even twirling her hair! Though at his words, she looked down a bit shyly.. and this time one of her hands moved to stroke her black hair nervously. "Thank you." She said as she raised said beautiful eyes back up to him and gave him a smile.."They run in my family." She explained before she remarked.. "Your eyes are very striking as well..So very blue! They match your robes well." You didn't call a guys eyes pretty right? SPOILER!!: Jazzy Ugh! What was wrong with her? They were supposed to be so happy and excited and yet here she was scared to death of losing her friend!! She wasn't sure what was going on, but she knew that she needed to calm down! Nothing was happening! He was right here next to her, they were in the same house.. And his hand was on her back! A smile came to her face at that thought and she looked over at him, her purple eyes warm as he spoke into her ear.. The good things.. That's right. They WERE together.. She took a deep breath as he looked at her with a smile and she nodded. "You are right Jazzy, I need to focus on the good things.. and I can't wait for our trip." She said finally as she turned her head to look at him and she smiled again.. His hand left her back and she sort of missed it's warmness.. but he had got her to relax.. "I'm sorry Jazzy.. I'll tell you what happened later.. but I'm better now.. Thank you." She reached over and gently squeezed his hand, he had brought her back to sanity. Ahh.. there were the Fwoopers again! She looked up into his green eyes and smiled warmly. "I can't believe we both made it into Ravenclaw.." She said to him with a nod.. They were at Hogwarts!!! Blazing Basilisks! What was wrong with her? She should be happy!! |
SPOILER!!: Azura Azura was smiling again! Mission complete! He grinned sillily at that thought alone. "Our trip is going to be great," he agreed with her. A knowing smile crossed his face as he leaned towards her, and as if he were telling her a secret he whispered in a low voice, "And it'll be the second thing off of our bucket list." They had had their non-awkward hug already! Another silly grin crossed his face as he leaned back. "No worries, you helped me on the train" he answered. Squeezing her hand lightly in return of the gesture. "I can't believe it either," he said as she mentioned them getting into the same house. He had hoped for it. Hoped the hat would listen to him. And it had. And now they were together. She didn't have to know that he had requested it though, now worried that she would go back to thinking that he might hate her for his house in a few years time. It didn't matter. He |
SPOILER!!: Jazzy Azura almost felt like giggling as Jazzy leaned towards her and spoke, it would be the second thing off their bucket list! She gave him a bit of a smirk at that. "Mmmhmmm, see hugging me wasn't all that bad, now was it?" She teased him a bit as he sat back. That grin on his face made her smile widely at him. He was so cute! And she had a bit of a half smile on her face as she looked at him. His green eyes were so alight and happy and he just looked so estastic! She has an urge to keep him looking like that! She wanted to make him happy! She nodded as he spoke and squeezed he hand back!! And no neck itching or anything!! There wasn't even a blush! This was a step! "The hat said I could be good in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw! But I'm glad he put me here, I'm not that brave!" She said with a nod as she looked at him, they were together! That was all that mattered! "I can't wait to see what the common room looks like.. Though.. I'm kinda hungry right now!" Due to all her nervousness, she had barely eaten on the train! |
Ryland would be lying if she said she hadn't been slightly tired and slightly hungry. Reading the books was nothing like being in the actual castle and starting her new magical life. There was a lot of experiences she had to go through. A lot was happening in a day, and the blue eyed girl rubbed her left eye and quickly stifled a yawn, wondering if she was only slightly sleepy now because her turn was done and that experience was over. Was it rude if the answer was yes? Because that was the answer that made the most sense. Sitting down at the Ravenclaw table, she listened to people talk and waited for her sister to join her. And waited. And waited. And waited. And she would be waiting for all eternity. Who gave that hat the right? She wanted her sister back! She wanted her strange, fashion void sister sitting right next to her, mocking the stupid piece of felt. She was eleven and she didn't like being separated from her sister! They were twins, even in the womb someone decided that they were meant to be together until they were like married and had their own kids! You couldn't split up womb friends! That was like rudest thing you can do! Rude-inator! Taking two deep and silent breaths, she let them out quickly and went back to listening to people, trying to look at the positives. She would have to make new friends in her house, which was a good thing. Ryland would have to also learn how to live without her sister, which could be a good thing. And they could hang out outside of their rooms and their houses and study together! This could work! Okay, she was working out the entire term for the both of them. And once her twin was spotted, the brunette stared at her and tried to telepathically send the plans. It was something they did when they were five and wanted to sneak candy out of the cupboard and needed to plan for her mom and her stupid Aunt. |
SPOILER!!: Azura Jasper smiled sheepishly at Azura, a faint blush rising on his cheeks. "I never said hugging you would be bad..." he argued weakly, his voice almost shy once again. The boy nodded slightly as she spoke about what the hat had said to her. "It considered putting me in Hufflepuff... but it decided Ravenclaw was better for me." It helped that he had asked to be put in Ravenclaw. "I guess it'll have a lot of blue..." he heard that the house common rooms were filled with the house colours. It made sense to him. "I'm hungry too... and I ran out of sugar quills." Now the latter was a disaster. He was addicted to those things. His face scrunched up at the thought of not having those delectable snacks for however long it was until he could get more. |
Ravenclaw... Ravenclaw... Ravenclaw... Katherine had replayed that over and over as she made her way to the blue and brown table. Ravenclaw. HER DREAMS HAD COME TRUE. She HAD TO write to her mum - but she also had to meet her house mates. Her face was all flushed with the excitement, and her eyes were shining enough to rival the Moon. She sat down on the first seat she found, and looked around. She was home. |
Before sitting, Rachel made her way to Tia to give her an excited hug. She liked the older girl the moment they had met at the Platform. “Thank you! I really wanted to be in this House.’’ She then noticed the badge which caused her to let out one of her small squeals. “I knew there was something else about you but I couldn’t figure it out. I’m happy for you to be the School’s Head girl.’’ Tia would make a great one because in the short span of time Rachel had known her, she had observed the girl was caring. Wasn’t it nice to be welcomed like this to her House? Rachel smiled at the girl whom had introduced herself as Janelle. “Hello. It’s lovely to meet you. I’m Rachel Watson. Thank you for the warm welcome.’’ Yes, she had a question. Of course she did. “I’m a little hungry. When do we get to eat?” “Oh, Haddie. It’s not. Cheer up.’’ The freckled face girl opted to change the subject. “I can’t wait to try the food served here. Did you that the food’s made by House elves?’’ Had she succeeded in distracting her friend? “I don’t think they’ll let us have ice cream as dessert this evening, however.’’ She loved having ice cream with Haddie. It was the first eatable they had shared. Garreth looked so happy that it warmed Rachel’s heart. She was so overjoyed for him and for herself, not because they had been placed in the same House, but because she had been proven right that he would be placed in Ravenclaw. She watched him dry his face. She thought it was sweet that he was not one of those boys who were stuffed with pride and so they were afraid to show their emotions. Rachel beamed when he showed the tie. “It looks wonderful on you,’’ she exclaimed. “I am truly happy I kept it for you. Now you definitely do not need that Gryffindor one.’’ The girl giggled. “It’s alright really, Ailsa. I think you were probably excited and overwhelmed to be coming to Hogwarts, that’s all.’’ Yes, family members could be so different. “It’s nice that you two are able to see each other often now.’’ She knew all about the reason for their separation. Rachel watched Ailsa with interest. She wasn’t sure but based on observations from the train and now here, it would seem that Ailsa got shy whenever she was around Garreth. This theory was only based on two observations so Rachel did not feel it was sufficient to draw a valid conclusion. She would observe some more. She beamed at the Grey Lady. “Yes. You see, both of my parents were Sorted into Ravenclaw too. I also read about the Houses prior to attending Hogwarts.’’ Her Eagleness was showing there, was it not? “Lady Ravenclaw? Is it okay if I ask you some questions?’’ She had a really personal one, a question that she often wondered about all ghosts. “Do you ever regret coming back as a ghost?’’ It seemed Azura had seen her looking. Rachel smiled as she waved back. There was other first years too (Julia and Alexander). She remembered seeing them during the boat ride. Rachel gave them both a warm smile because they looked practically overwhelmed. The girl at least did. She noticed Olivia too, who got a beam. “Hello, Olivia. I’m glad we’re in the same House. Thank you for walking through the barrier with me earlier.’’ She did like this girl. They were going to be good friends, she just knew it. There were more first years too (Sollys, Ryland and Sam). Rachel beamed at both of them. Wow! Ravenclaw surely had a huge bunch. This included the girl she had met at Flourish and Blotts too. “Hello, Katherine.’’ |

Oh! And how had she not noticed the ceiling before? She let out a low gasp at the hovering candles. "It's 'mazin' 'ere, ain't it? Ain't seen nuffin like it." Quote:
There seemed to be a lot of new girls in Ravenclaw. Where were the boys at?! |
Rachel & Katherine SPOILER!!: Rachel It's nice to meet you too, Rachel Watson." What a cutie. And she was polite too! Janelle liked the first year already. When Rachel asked a question, Janelle couldn't help but laugh. That was probably her most pressing question when she was a first year. "We get to ear right after the Headmistress makes her speech. Don't worry, it will be worth the wait. The food is wonderful." Then Janelle decided to offer a little fouth year wisdom. "Here's a tip for next year. Make sure to bring lots of snacks for the train ride. That way, you won't be totally starving when you get to the feast. Sometimes it can seem like forever before the speech begins." SPOILER!!: Katherine Janelle noticed another firstie arriving at the table. This one didn't look terrified. She looked excited and that was a good thing. Since she seemed to be sitting all alone, Janelle went over to say hello. "Hi there. I'm Janelle. Welcome to Ravenclaw! How are enjoying the feast so far?" From the looks of things, all seemed to be well with the younger girl. Happy with the Sorting Hat's choice? It seemed so. |
so many posts! so exciting :D *rearranges* SPOILER!!: Grey Lady Thornton nodded at the ghost politely, though he was made slightly uncomfortable by her words. "I'm not certain I agree with your assessment, but thank you," he offered by way of response. He was not feeling up to the task - not after the train - and he was just hoping to get through the feast without incident. He listened to the rest of her comment, finding himself wondering if the ghosts were able to leave the castle or if they were stuck here with only each other for company. That would be terribly lonely, wouldn't it. "My summer was reasonable," he offered, trying to sound somewhat positive though vague. He'd worked all summer. It had been dreadfully boring. Though, his free time had been full of... bright spots of Hufflepuff yellow. "I am quite glad to be back here, however." SPOILER!!: Azura & Jazz Thornton managed a genuine smile at the first year, and her friend (Jazz) as she spoke. "Thank you." What to know about the house... what to know about the house. Thornton should have anticipated this question, he was sure, but his answer came quickly none-the-less. "The thing you should know is that there are many ways to be a Ravenclaw. A lot of people think we're just a house of people who are bookish and clever, but there is a lot of creativity and imagination, too." And the assumption that they'd be top students was... stressful sometimes to those, like Thornton, who were not entirely consumed or particularly talented in more academic pursuits. He glanced at Jazz, and then back as Azura, sensing a bit that they were rather settled with one another, and probably didn't need a prefect hovering and welcoming and reassuring. On to other new sortees! SPOILER!!: Julia & Lex Thornton headed further down the table, setting himself near two more faces he didn't know. "Welcome to Ravenclaw," he said, as he tucked his robe underneath him. "I'm Thornton and I'm one of your prefects. If you ever need anything, please do let me know." Friendly and bright, friendly and bright. That was the motto running through his head, and he hoped that some warmth showed in his smile. SPOILER!!: Sam and Solly and Olivia He turned though, as more students arrived. Had his first year class been this big? He truthfully couldn't remember. "Welcome, welcome," he said as they rearranged themselves to make room for the one who introduced herself as Sam. "We're glad to have you." Thornton watched Sam glance at the silverware and he turned his gaze to the front of the room. "Shouldn't be too much longer now," he guessed. "Speech right after the sorting and they usually aren't too long." And then food. As he turned back to the girls, however, he saw a student that he did recognize looking a little worse for the wear... SPOILER!!: Chris Moving his seat once again - if he kept this up, he'd end up with no seat once there was actual food - Thornton settled near the third year. "Chris, right?" He wanted to make sure he got the name correct as he lowered and tilted his head to try to g. "Are you... ok?" SPOILER!!: Ryland and Katherine More students. Merlin's beard. Were any of the other houses getting sortees? Still sat near Chris, Thornton raised a hand in greeting to the two girls, offering a smile, though he could not be certain if they saw him. He would make his way to them eventually. |
