Azura smiled as Jace gave all the credit to Rachel.. She knew they had both done well, but she just nodded. She could be proud of Rachel another time, right now she was very proud of her best friend! "I'm sure he's very happy right now! We all worked so hard! and he's been a great Head of house." She said with a nod.. He head healed her nose once, so that made him amazing in her book!

She smiled at him. "I will think about it! I really will." She said with a warm smile, it would give her an excuse to hang out with Jace more!

Oh.. no. Azura knew she shouldn't have said that. She KNEW it.. She could tell instantly that Jace was uncomfortable and once again.. she blamed herself for everything. For ALL of this.. If it wasn't for her stupid feelings.. Jace would have never gotten hurt. Stupid people! Didn't they understand that threatening the precious boy wouldn't help anything? She was lucky he was still talking to her. Nothing would change his feelings for her.. She had accepted it.. In fact.. She had something to tell him that might make everything better..

Hopefully. Azure bit her lip slightly and tugged on her hair.. Her fingers twisted for a moment before she let out a soft "I'm sorry." She couldn't apologize enough for that incident.. And she really wished she could erase it from both of their minds.

"Thank you Jace.. I'll be sure to practice." She whispered softly as she looked at him for a moment.

"I love Haddie! She started to call me Princess.. so really.. she's fun!" Azura insisted, "And she helped me find out about the origin of my eyes.. so..I like her a lot." She nodded before Jace asked about her summer..

Ohh.. Fwoopers.. here it came. "Yeah, I've started to pack.. and I need to go shopping as soon as I get home.. cause.. I have.. a date." In order to be the best friend she could to him.. She needed to JUST be his friend.. She couldn't just.. wait for him to like her.. Cause what if it never happened? She couldn't.. no she WOULDN'T put that on him. It wasn't fair to him. So.. She had accepted Cyp's offer..

They had been hanging out a few times as well after Hogsmeade.

So many things have happened the past months, and for the most part, things have been really good. There was Potions, a tiny hiccup from their everyday lives, but it had to happen. If it didn't, then both Jace and Azura may not be the best of friends now. The Ravenclaw boy remained quiet, nodding along as Azura spoke. He still wasn't sure about Haddie though. She seems to be...too much for the half-Japanese. She does come off too strong for him, making him cringe at times. He couldn't explain it, but at least he was successful at not confronting the fellow Claw. He may be missing out, but as long as there's peace and silence between them, then it's all good.

"Origin of your eyes?" Jace blinked as he stared at those pretty eyes of hers. "It has something to do with genetics, right? Or...have you girls discovered something else?" Of course, this piqued Jace's interest. He found Azura's eyes intriguing, and didn't think that there was another possible explanation for her exceptionally unique peepers.

And...wait, what? Date?

"Oh?" Jace's face lit up for some reason. Jakub told him that going out on dates were fun, so Azura was sure to have a grand time, right? "You're going out with a boy? Who?" the Ravenclaw wasn't going to bet on Jasper this time since he himself hasn't seen the boy in ages. He must've been sucked by a book! "Don't miss out on the details, Azura. Come on, spill the beans." Jace was all ears now. He'd like to know E V E R Y T H I N G.

Azura's bright purple eyes stared at Jace for a moment.. Had she forgotten to tell him about her eyes? Ooops!! Bad best friend alert!!

"Well, actually..It doesn't have anything to do with genetics at all." Azura said as she looked at Jace rather sheepishly.. "Umm.. I can't believe I haven't told you all this.. I'm sorry! But I wrote to my grandfather and he told me the story.. You see.. my great, great, great, great, great grandmother was part veela and part Fairy Princess and SHE had purple eyes, and my so many great grandfather loved looking into her eyes so much, that he charmed the rest of the blood born family to have the exact shade of purple eyes that their mate would love to look into."

Azura looked up at Jace and shrugged a bit.. "So.. there you have it.. my eye story.. Kinda mushy..but still rather cool." and she was part fairy princess so there's that.

Azura grinned a little as Jace's face lit up at the mention of her date! He was so happy she was starting not to like him anymore.. It made her happy.. and sad at the same time.

"Yeah, umm His Name is Cyprian Night He's a third year Slytherin, we met at the Quill shop in Hogsmeade a few weeks ago." Azura had a bit of a silly smile on her face.. "And uhh... we hit it off! I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life! And he asked me out.. and I accepted!" She said with a warm smile.. "Also, his last name is Night! and my middle name is Luna! Moon.. Night? It's almost like we were.. meant to be or something." Azura said with a bit of a bashful smile.. "He even bowed before me and swore to protect my heart."

A soft blush stained her cheeks.. "So.. yeah, we've been hanging out a bit! He came to my duel! And didn't mind when I practically tackled him when I won."

She bit her lip.. "So.. yeah.. that's Cyp.." He was also SUPER cute as well.. but she wasn't going to mention that!

Jace sat back with his hands behind him, and listened intently to the eye thing. So there was magic involved? He knew it! He knew that there must be some sort of...magical intervention to keep it that way. He came from the land of science, so he'd know enough muggle genetics to prove that without magic, it would be impossible for Azura to have purple eyes after so many marriages in between generations. "If magic was involved, would you know if it can be reversed? I mean...most charms are reversible." It was an honest question by the way. "I'm not trying to scare you or anything...just...curious." Jace gave a nonchalant shrug and continued to listen to her.

Okay. Cyprian Night. Third Year Slytherin. The other information was discarded as Jace kept himself busy memorizing the important stuff. What mattered was the fact that he knows about this guy who's going to take his best friend to a date.

For some reason, Jace felt like a part of him dimmed. Azura made it so obvious that he failed miserably as a best friend. This Cyprian boy made her laugh. If Jace's young memory served him right, he was the first to bow to her, but then, was the first to break her heart as well. Then there was her duel that he failed to watch. Azura's words were like salt to an open wound.

Merlin. Jace could feel himself shrinking to the size of a peanut in shame.

"I...see." The Ravenclaw nodded and tried his best to grin. He did give her a weak one. Now, he felt like fleeing to Japan pronto. It was a good thing that he will be busy back in the land of the rising sun, but just like the sensitive boy that he was, Jace was sure that he's not going to forget this conversation soon.

That moment, he began to question his worth as her best friend.

"Eto...good luck then! I'm sure you'll have a great time." Can he go now to his dorm? He suddenly felt like he was going to keel over.

"Reversed?" Why in the love of all the Fwoopers would they want to reverse such a thing that made them.. Them! "I don't know.. I hear it was pretty powerful and each generation helps it along." She wasn't sure how.. she supposed she would learn about that when the time came.. "I.. don't think so?" It was just a guess.. but she certainly hoped not!

Uh oh.. Azura watched her best friend wilt right before her eyes and she bit her lip as she remembered what she had said.. Oh for the love of Fwoopers where was her head? She shouldn't have mentioned the duel.. Or perhaps the heart thing.. and had he bowed to her..

Probably, but he didn't go down on one knee and swear his allegiance to her! Or vow to keep her blood organ safe.

"Jace." Az said softly as she grabbed one of his hands. "You are the best friend ever, and I don't care that you didn't come to my duel.. I had cornflake skin for most of it, and I was drenched by the end of it.." She blinked a little..And Cyp still wanted the date after seeing that? Whoa! He must.. really like her..

*cue silly grin*

Anyways... back to consoling best friend. "You had my heart first and you will probably always have a piece of it.. It will be your own special place with your name on it.. Your own little room full of restful places to read and all the dessert you can eat." She leaned forward and gave him a hug. "Don't doubt your worth to me as my best friend." She pulled back and smiled.
