Was his singing worse than Myers'?

"Ummm... no? It's maybe on par with his though," Zeke replied, not bothering to keep his voice low. Either way, he wasn't about to belt out a tune, it just wasn't the type of thing that he would do, regardless of whether or not he could. Like. No. There were better ways to impress women, easier ways too.

But yes, the rose petals. Consider it done, Maggie, he was convinced. Rose petals were easy enough to arrange, the effort was minimal while the benefits were not short-lived and were therefore great value.

Sitting up a bit more, Zeke scooted in closer, leaning forward enough to blow the petals from Maggie's hands before smirking. Pay attention to the boyfriend yes? Not the petals. Because not only was he the one she loved, and not only had he organised all of this (minus Myers and the petals), but they still had fruit to devour. Plucking a strawberry from the plate he held it out to Maggie. It was her turn to be hand-fed, she ought to savour the moment.

It was 'on par' with Myers' singing?

That didn't sound tooooo appealing then.

Smirking slightly Maggie clicked her tongue. "Lets stick with picnics and kisses then." No singing from you, Zeke. Maybe some roses though. She did like those a lot. Hopefully he was taking notes. If not physically then at least mentally. Because like, she kind of expected roses, or at least rose petals, next time. Mhm.

When she said she liked the rose petals she hadn't meant that she liked to have them IN HER FACE!

Maggie wrinkled her nose and closed her eyes for a second. "Hey!" So needy Zeke was. The amused grin on her lips clearly suggested that she liked it, though. Before she could protest further it was apparently her turn to be fed. Heh. Her eyes still on Zeke she leaned in to take the strawberry from his fingers with her lips.

Honestly, she could get used to this.

Sticking with picnics and kisses was something he could definitely do, especially since he considered himself an expert in both now. "Don't worry, I have no interest in making your ears bleed," he replied, smirking too. Unless of course she was asking for trouble, in which case he would oblige.

In truth she hadn't really asked for trouble where the petals were concerned, but he was all too happy to gain her attention regardless. Her exclamation was music to his ears too, because it was all for him. Myers couldn't compete with that, the man had no chance.

His eyes didn't leave her as she ate the offered fruit, because he could get used to this. Picnics were just such brilliant things, what more could he ask for? He was really appreciating the sunshine right now, not only because it provided him with warmth, but also because it meant Maggie could wear her dress... and he was still appreciating that. The sun was his friend.

Content with satiating his own hunger, Zeke took a strawberry for himself too before getting comfortable and laying back down on his side. He positioned an arm beneath the pillow under his head. "I think if I had to rate this date, I'd give it a nine out of ten... good luck matching that," he said matter of factly. Because it was her turn to organise the next one, clearly.

At least they were on the same page there. No singing. Good. Not that she would admit to not being good at something but Maggie was pretty sure he wouldn't want her singing to him either. So she was simply going to extend that no-singing-rule to herself too.

Savoring the taste of the strawberry in her mouth, Maggie took her time chewing it. She watched as Zeke lay back down after taking a strawberry himself. Strawberries. Recurring theme there, seriously. She put another blueberry in her mouth before putting one of the pillows right next to his and lying down on her back. Maggie just stared up at the sky for a moment, then licked her lips to make sure she didn't have any strawberry bits on them anymore.

Wait... "Match that?" At this she turned her head to look over to him with a questioning look on her face. "Why am I the one who has to match that?" Her lips curled into a small smirk. "Besides, I'm gonna go with 8 out of 10." Maggie reached over to poke his chest lightly.

He really did like strawberries, did she know? Perhaps Maggie ought to take notes too, really.

Comfortable with where he lay, Zeke finished his strawberry in two bites (the only safe way to ensure he didn't end up with any juice dribbling down his chin) all the while watching as Maggie made herself comfortable beside him. If there would have been clouds in the sky, he might have entertained her with pointing out shapes, but as it was, the sky was clear and void of anything truly interesting. No, she was the only interesting thing in the garden.

... and she didn't disappoint.

"Mmhmm," Zeke grinned, pleased that she was rising to his bait. He pulled a face that would clearly depict how HURTFUL her 8 out of 10 really was, but it was short lived and he was grinning again. "I wouldn't mind being wooed, to be honest," he mused, returning a poke to her side. It was perhaps high time for her to sweep him off his feet, it wasn't as if it would be difficult to achieve and she would get back as good as she gave. Of course. Because this whole 'date' thing was mostly for her anyway.

Was he serious?

The look he gave her when she didn't agree with his 9 out of 10 made her smirk at him. It WAS more like 8 out of 10. Maybe 8.5. But like Myers. Myers had been the one to bring the roses, not Zeke, so he couldn't exactly take credit for that. So yes 8.5.

Wait...HE wanted to be wooed? Maggie giggled at the poke and was quick to return it again to his chest. He wasn't in fact serious, though, was he? Dates was something the boyfriend did. Why would she plan a date for him? "You're being wooed every day simply because I'm dating you." She pointed out.

Which didn't really make a lot of sense but you know.

He was perfectly serious, about it all.

Myers may have come in and done his thing, but it was a virtually flawless date before hand, so yes, 9 out of 10 was legitimate. Furthermore, he seldom got to play the needy boyfriend, couldn't she indulge him just this once? Did he need to pout?

"Is that so?" he asked, unable to wipe the grin off his face at her response. Catching her poking finger in his hand he wiggled his fingers into hers until they were interlocked. Zeke wouldn't deny the obvious perks and amazingness of life that was all because she was his girlfriend, buuuuuuuuuuuuut....

An amused smirk on her lips, Maggie glanced down at their hands when Zeke interlocked their fingers. She gave his hand a squeeze before looking back up at his face again, moving a little closer to him.

"Mhm." She hummed in reply, reaching over to poke his chest again, this time with her other hand. Ha! "Unlesssss-" Maggie dragged out the word a little and turned her head back so she was looking up at the sky again. "Unless that's something you really want." Her planning a date for him, that is.

"Then I might...consider it." She only glanced at him without turning her head. Wasn't she just the best girlfriend?

He was quite satisfied with himself, for imprisoning her hand, and he selfishly enjoyed the light squeeze she gave him. This is what winning felt like....

.... until he wasn't.

His brows narrowed slightly though he was still grinning, scolding of her cheating ways but he let it pass, because apparently they were negotiating and this most definitely served his interests. "Unless?" he prompted, because as sweet as the words sounded on her lips when she dragged them out like that, his patience had limits.

It wasn't necessarily something he REALLY really wanted, but he did want it. So in his mind, the answer was yes.

"You definitely should consider it," he informed, sighing lightly as he watched her. It would be worth her while, "You could consider it a favour that I'd be happy to repay." Did he have her attention now? Because she had his, and he was definitely in a mood for some hair stroking. Shuffling closer so that he could place his arm around her middle, Zeke buried his face into her side wiggling so he was under her arm.

There. He was ready now.

Ha! Had he seriously expected to win just like that? Like, it wasn't even CHEATING per se. But like she was a Slytherin. And not just that, she was Magdalena Natalie Traulton. Like, seriously, Zeke should've seen it coming. She tugged on his hand a little, a smirk on her lips.

Yes, there was an unless. Again, such a good girlfriend she was.

"Okay." Maggie agreed, her grin clearly suggesting just how ridiculous she thought that whole notion was. HER planning a date for HIM. Like. Why? But alright. She'd agreed so...apparently they were doing this. What would he even expect from a date? No but seriously, she would have to do research on this. Gosh, see, that's why BOYS planned dates for GIRLS and not vice versa.

"I thought we were done with favors?" She mused, giving him a small smirk. Also....hey...what on Earth was he doing?! Seriously? Maggie just let him do his thing (she'd discovered that that was usually for the best), then just looked down at his head for a moment. Okay then. Giggling softly, Maggie shook her head and then started playing with his hair.

Gosh. Wasn't she just the best?

And he was back to winning. It was a habit he was making, which suited him just fine especially where Maggie was concerned. She was welcome to poke him all she wanted, cheatingly so too, but at the end of the day HE was getting a date from her. My my how the tables have turned. The idea of it had taken root and now he was looking forward to seeing how she might surprise him.

"I have great expectations," he added, a sort-of warning for her. Though this shouldn't have been news. After all, he was dating her. VERY high standards there. As for favours, he shrugged a little. "If there's something you really want, then I won't be able to say no, will I?" Favours had their perks, and it had been fun while it had lasted.

But good. GOOD. She was taking his cue. Smiling into her as she giggled, Zeke simply closed his eyes and enjoyed the hair playing he was receiving. He'd take it while it lasted. And then he'd probably have to do that watering the garden thing.

This was a free to enter garden wasn't it? It was nice and quiet here and the perfect place to study for his NEWTs. Well, technically the perfect place to study was the library but the Gryffindor preferred being outside. He carelessly dragged his bag behind behind him as he searched for a good spot to sit down. He couldn't find any benches so he decided to move on the grass and sat down without the use of a blanket.

Opening his bag, the Gryffindor pulled out his trustworthy lip balm and applied it before digging in further in to the bag to grab out some of his NEWT notes and his Herbology book for studying. Studying, blegh. He opened the text book where he had been at last night and began doing the test at the end of the chapter to practise his knowledge.

Time to water the garden! Weather was fantastic today! Paul was wearing SHORTS, did everyone SEE his pasty white legs SHINING BRILLIANTLY in the sunlight? He didn't care because the breeze felt so nice! He was also wearing his favorite farmers' hat and a fluffy, white poncho.

Ahem.

He would have gone barefoot, too, but he didn't much fancy getting stuck by any thorns or anything in his feet.

Paul normally did a water can for watering, but today he felt like humming and working and using his wand. So he let a steady stream of water pour forth from his wand as he went down, row by row, the different flowers and shrubs and grasses.

He did not see Yoongi. There was a particularly tall shrub blocking him from Paul's view, but he raised his wand above his wand and began to spray the other side of the shrub with water, not realized...well. The water was going all over poor Yoongi Hyland O__O

"No, that doesn't make any sense" Yoongi mumbled as he scratched out his notes with an annoyed sigh. He flipped back through the pages until he found the plant he was looking for and re-read it agaim. If only he was as good at Herbology as he was in Charms. But sadly he wasn't and he had to study study study to get a good grade for his exam.

Biting on the quill as he read, the Gryffindor was unaware of someone watering the plants and therefore gasped in shock when water sprayed over him and he quickly stuffed everything back in his bag. Rain? How could it be raining? The Head Boy looked around. It was odd that it only rained in his spot. Which only meant one thing.

A student pranking him.

He stood up, pinning his Head Boy badge on his wet uniform and saw a hat hidden behind a tall shrub. He let his bag on the ground as he marched around the shrub. "WHAT do you THINK you're doing , huh?!" he half shouted , expecting to see a first year but halted in his track when he saw the Professor. "uh...i mean..." wow was he glad this was Myers and not Draper. He scratched the top of his wet hair awkwardly as he tried to safe himself. "Sorry?" Nice Yoongi, nice.....

Still oblivious to the head boy, Paul continued to hum loudly and merrily. That is, until he heard the harsh tones of Mr. Hyland. He sounded so authoritative that Paul immediately stopped watering his garden, blushed, and then saw Yoongi's face and smiled in relief.

"Merlin. You sounded so...scary, Mr. Hyland. I'm surprised. I've never heard you sound quite so...you know, serious," he let out a laugh and continued watering some shrubs, just not on Yoongi this time. "You? Sorry? Nah--I should be sorry, m'boy! I didn't mean to douse you in water! Need me to dry you off?" he asked, giving his wand a little flourish to reach the plants further away from him. "So...what are you...doing out here, then? Relaxing?" he smiled.

The garden was probably especially relaxing today, too, with the birds chirping softly in the distance, the slight breeze and whatnot. Ahhh!

Scary? Him?

"i'm sorry, i thought you were a student pranking me" he admitted, letting out a sigh of relief when the Professor wasn't angry. "As Head Boy i'm quite the target" he grumbled. And not just with the students. Yes, we're eyeing you Draper.

Shaking his head, drops of water falling on the ground as he did so, Yoongi got his phoenix wand out of its holster and pointed it at himself. Performing a non-verbal drying spell as he watched the man watering the other plants.

"I was actually studying for my Herbology NEWT, sir" he said after he was dry again and GASPED so loudly, his eyes widening out of the blue and a second later he ran to his bag so fast it looked like he had vanished.

He pulled out the wet notes , the ink had already smeared half of the words "My noooootes!" he cried as he tried to safe them with magic.

Pfft. Paul shook his head. "No pranks from me, m'boy...though, I do owe a prank to little Suri Rider." Since she had tried to PELL A SNOWBALL AT HIS HEAD.

Hmph.

"Still trying to think of a way to prank her, so, if you have ANY ideas, please let me know." He smirked to himself and rubbed the back of his neck under his hat. "Are you that big a target? That seems foolish to me! You're head boy! Pranking you is like...a one way ticket to detention, you'd think!" Paul had never given a detention yet, either. He was glad. It would make him feel...like such a bad guy.

So Yoongi was getting a head start on exams? That was good, very good! He smiled at his student. "That's good for you, Yoongi! You'll be so well prepare when they came around! NEWTs...ah. Stressful time. I hope to see you continue to handle yourself well in lieu of your exams, though!" He hated to see them all stressed out over...exams. Silly silly exams.

Paul's heart sank...and he felt just...awful. AWFUL. "I'm..so sorry Yoongi...I can..try to restore your notes, though?" There had to be a way to fix them!

Yoongi frowned a little at what the Professor said. He was asking him if he knew any good pranks? So that he could take revenge on some kid? “I’m….not a big fan of pranks , Sir” he said, frown still placed on his face.

He placed his hands in his now dry pockets and shrugged his shoulders. “I’m always on the look-out for them” he said. He hadn’t been pranked in a while though , that was why he had thought it had been a student earlier. “And doesn’t the fact that pranking me gives them a one way ticket to detention more exciting if they succeed?” he laughed a tiny bit.

Stressful time? STRESSFUL TIME IT WAS YES! Yoongi HATED the exams. Well it wasn’t the exams itself that he hated but it was the studying before it. “I’ve been studying each day since march” he sighed, shaking his head. “It's so stressful you don't even know!" of course he knew that he knew but he was being dramatic right now. "Well, i've only had 1 nervous breakdown so far" which had happened in front of Professor Jerkface Draper embarrassingly enough..."And i haven't fainted in class yet like during my OWL year so i'm doing pretty good" he had actually taken the advice of Jerkface and plan some time in for himself not his leadership job or studying.

Looking down at the wet notes, Yoongi held them up to give them to the Professor. "I tried to repair it ones when i was in the library and i only managed to vanish everything" he admitted, looking from him to the notes. "Zander gave me his notes back then but...if you could restore it that would be wonderful!" Actually, he knew how to restore his notes now but it was the Professor's fault they got wet in the first place. He should be restoring them right? right.

Pffft. Paul just snorted at the head boy. "Well..pranks are fun...as long as they aren't too serious, can't get anyone in trouble, and...you know, are GOOD HEARTED." He would NEVER prank someone in a mean way! Though the idea of getting in trouble was sort of an adrenaline rush that some people craved...so maybe Paul's idea of pranks were not...everyone's idea of a funny or fun prank.

Yes, the boy had a point. "I was just never a big fan of getting in trouble. Except...if it was for a good reason." In school, at least. Now...breaking little rules here and there...well. It was fun. Exciting!

"You should make sure you don't get so stressed, m'boy!" he said gently. "we don't need our head boy passing out..." not at all! How scary. He eyed the boy's notes, though..."Well hand them over--I miss Mr. Adair," Paul said with a sigh. "I hope he's doing all right. He and Miss Brown." Were they still together? He hoped so!

Speaking of...student relationships..Paul smirked. "Yoongi m'boy...how is.....Norah?" Wiggly eyebrows.

Yoongi raised his eyebrow as the Professor snorted at him. How rude! He did have a point though about pranks having to be good natured. "I can't help you with that, Sir" he wasn’t good at coming up with pranks. "My sisters are the masterat pranks, i'm usually the victim" he sighed loudly. But that was going to change soon! He was turning seventeen in a month or so and he could use magic outside of school then. Ah revenge would be sweet.

Not getting stressed was easier said than done. "I don't really have control of that do i?" he said. "Professor Jerkface" his eyes widened as he looked shocked. "I mean! Professor Draper told me to do things that i like but i only got more stressed out" he bit his lower lip as he guiltily looked at the herbology Professor. "Please don't tell him i called him that" he asked pleadingly.

Zander? Good. He could talk about him. He was cool. "I think he was a good Head Boy" he admitted. He wondered if the students disliked him like they had disliked him at the beginning of the year. "I have so much respect for him now that i know how hectic this badge is" he said.

He wasn’t sure if he liked that smirk... Yoongi expected the man to restore his notes so that he could get back to studying. Instead, his face turned bright red like a tomato. It wasn't because of hearing Norah's name but because he was wiggling his eyebrows.

Yoongi had forgotten that the Professor knew. "I..uh.. she ..." he stuttered, his authoritative voice was completely gone.

"....we went on a date during the summer" he said. This was so embarrassing!
