Located on the fifth floor corridor is a classroom dedicated to teaching Music, wizarding and muggle alike, by occasional guests from outside the school. The room features rows of music stands and stools, a drum kit, a piano and a conductor's stand as well as a blackboard on the wall. This classroom also holds host to a mixture of both vocal and instrumental practices, so talented or interested students can make use of the instruments here as long as they don't take or spoil anything away.

Ever since he discovered this room with Rula it had instantly become his most favorite rooms in the whole castle. It wasn't a training room for combat, it was even better. It was a music room. The Slytherin teenager loved playing his violin. His dorm room was his preferred place to practice, but when his dormmates were too loud, or when people's complaining broke his concentration, he came here.

As it was, he had a free period, and was choosing to use this time practicing his violin where he wasn't likely to be disturbed by his housemates.

Because she didn't mind to leave if the boy doesn't feel comfortable if she watched him playing.

He checked her for an instrument, and when he didn't see one asked, "Are you here to play something?"

Azura nodded. "Fifth and seventh years sound terrible with how much coursework we will have.. but.. I'm sure you will be able to manage Esme!" She had faith in her friend!

Yep. Flower names really were pretty. "I love flowers. I collect them and make them into head wreaths or press them." They could be used for so many different things. Usually she wore them in her hair during the spring and summer, but it was obviously too cold for that right now. "You're right about that," she added with a giggle. "Marigold is another nice name." Maybe if she had any daughters they would all end up being named for flowers.

"Well..." she said as she continued to play on the piano. "She threatened to curse my sister during the fist Hogsmeade visit." That was more than bad enough to warrant the feeling of hatred. No one threatened her sister. Juno was staying away from Hogsmeade and that better keep her safe.

Oh. Azura didn't seem to think that she was particularly smart. "I think you are. Besides, there are different types of intelligence." Maybe Zaura hadn't found her strength yet, or maybe it lay in music and other areas of creativity. Honestly, she thought Azura was smart regardless. As a First Year she wasn't going to know everything right away. "Thank you, that means a lot!" she added as her friend told her she had faith in her.

He laughed when Mel suggested to lend her one of her siblings. "Thank you for the offer, but I think they would prefer living with you."

Wait, what? Did she think him visiting the Gryffindor Common Room was possible? "Oh, I - okay!" He nodded, not knowing what he was agreeing to. This was breaking school rules. This was performing complicated charms. This was leaving a bad impression on his Professors. This was crazy, and he really wanted to give it a try!

"I seeee." Carl raised his eyebrows. It was a funny reason really, but not an unreasonable one. He nodded appreciatively as Mel admitted that she wanted to play Quidditch. "If you were a Quidditch player, I would be your number one cheerleader." He would create a Melbourne fan chant if he could! "So ... what are Beaters and Chasers again?" His knowledge about Wizarding sports was limited. "Well yeah, but at least you are not a cactus. Not a teddy bear either, but somewhere in between." The tough adventurous non-damsel-girl. That was quite an accurate description of her. "You will eventually soften up to my hugs, Miss tough adventurous non-damsel Mel!" He grinned.

When he mentioned having a small family she just grinned at him. “That must be a little quiet, but also lonely? I don’t know what I would do without having cousins or well…my siblings?” She listened and felt a little pang of sadness for him when he mentioned his parents dying. “I…I’m sorry about your parents Carl, I get it though? I’m an orphan too” she nodded and grinned as he asked about her weapon collection.

“Yeah well its always good to be safe isn’t it?” She mentioned and grinned at his suggestion for the disillusioned ladder. “That would be awesome but I’d probably just go for a caterwauling charm so the trunk let me know when there were intruders” she admitted with a laugh. “Oh I didn’t mean my sibling…I meant comics or weapons” she admitted with a grin. “But I’m sure my siblings would give advice if its needed they kind of do that with my friends actually my brother Finn gave my sister Amelia’s um…fiancée loads of advice” she admitted and shrugged her shoulder.

Was he shocked about visiting the common room? “Apparently there’s a secret passage from somewhere on the sixth floor” she admitted with a grin. “I want to find it myself and use it whenever I plan on sneaking out after hours” she nodded.

“Really? You would be?” She asked and grinned over to him. “Oh do you play football? Like British football not American I mean?” she asked and chewed her lip a bit. “In a way chasers have to be agile flyers and they are the ones who try and get the quaffle into the hoops? Beaters,” she grinned, “well they’ve club-like sticks that they use to knock iron balls toward the opposing team members?” She admitted. “really violent but I think it could be fun?” She shrugged her shoulder and grinned over to Carl.

“Not a teddy bear or a cactus…” she laughed and grinned as she tried to think of an idea of what she was. “I’m like one of those tough looking puppies everyones afraid of but totally a softy at the same time” she nodded. It was the truth after all. “Hey I didn’t say it was a bad hug now did I?” She grinned.

She remembered there were a few of her primary school friends were capable playing that instrument. It's cool, you know? Ava was curious how could someone play it very well and beautifully. And now she's gonna see Bastien played it... If he didn't mind her watching of course.

"No, I am not." The young lioness said. "Music isn't just my.. Thing." Yeah, she's more into physical activity. "Your violin looks cool." And she was sure that it was expensive.

Then she really would be a Fairy Princess! She nodded "That is a very pretty name, Oh! As is Violet and Iris! I think I would want to name my daughter Violet." She said with a warm smile.

Azura made a face and she leaned over and hugged Esme, in order to comfort her. "Well the Hag is gone now right? I'm sure your sister will be okay." She said as she pulled back and looked up at her older friend sympathetically. "I'm sure the professors won't let anything happen to her." She said with a warm comforting smile as she looked back down at the piano.

'Mmmm, I hope so! I mean Jasper doesn't think he is too smart, but he is an amazing artists, so I think the hat put him in the right house. We are supposed to be creative as well right?" She was really trying to give herself a pep talk..

"Of course! I'll even bake you some cake during those times, to help you study! She said with a soft giggle.

"Yep, head wreaths." It seemed that Azura was rather interested in the thought of them. That was a nice change from her sister who honestly didn't see the appeal of them. Well, that was fine with Esme because there were certain things her sister liked that she didn't share an interest in, like combat boots. "Ummm, they look sort of like a crown made with flowers." That was the best way she could describe it though she supposed that crowns weren't as narrow as that. "Or maybe it's more of a band..." That sounded a lot better to her. "Violet is a lovely name and colour!" Azura was definitely right about that one.

Leaning into the hug, Esme gave a small smile. She was still upset when she thought about it, but it was nice to have friends who cared about her and her sister. This was the first time that ANYONE had asked her to show them how to make a flower wreath. Esme's eyes widened slightly because she never thought that day would come. Usually people didn't go for her more free spirit approach to appearance. "Yeah, I would love to!" Maybe they could do it in the art room near Professor Handsome's classroom.

Purple eyes were beautiful. And very rare. She wondered where Azura got hers from. "That would be perfect. We don't have eye colours like that in my family." Ah well. It didn't matter. She wasn't really focusing too much on that stuff anyway because she was only 13. There was so much to life beyond getting married and having babies. She was going to enjoy life to the fullest and be active in the community.

"Thanks a lot," she said full of appreciation as she continued to hug her friend. This meant a lot to her. It was nice to know that someone else understood how scary this was for her and her sister. Of course Juno was a lot tougher, but Esme knew that her sister was scared. Not only were they sisters, but they were also best friends. And Jasper must be Azura's best friend judging by the way that she talked about him. "Well that's good. I bet you guys have loads in common."

Baking something together sounded lovely. "Yeah! I'd definitely be up for that!"

Once his expanded homeworks had been finished and handed in, Rooney was used to finding somewhere in the castle to distract himself from the qualms of studying and having to know as much as possible. He also really wanted to think more on his duel performance, as that had been almost a joke. He could easily have lost it and the win hadn't settled his problems with the subject at all. In fact, it gave him all the more reason to give it up should it continue next year. Or maybe this year. Maybe he would sit down and refuse to do anything, much like he had tried last year.

The piano had been his favourite thing to do before he got to Hogwarts, and after having an intense lesson over the Christmas break, he had reignited his love for the keys and the notes. And he was very fortunate to have access to one in a classroom here.

To be honest, Olivia had been out and about stalking people around the Hogwarts castle...because she'd just been so BORED lately, you know? AND...it felt like there was nothing interesting going on. (and who wanted to sit and do homework and study?!) There were ZERO tea parties to speak of! (...and even if she were to muster up the GOOD VIBES to host one, who would attend?! See, the smol blond was realizing that Hogwarts SAVAGELY TORE people apart! FOR INSTANCE, she hardly saw Chloe, anymore...Phillip acted like he didn't have time for ANYONE, but whatever girl he was snogging this week....and don't even get her started on Blaise and Ben, who were both acting so WEIRD lately. UGH, she just wasn't impressed with people having lives that didn't include her. Not. At. All.

Admittedly, Olivia had been so used to being the center of attention for so long...this lack there of was all coming as a bit of a blow to her fragile ego.

SHE WANTED PEOPLE TO ADORE HER, OKAY?!!..and maybe brush and braid her hair!...Was it really too much to ask for?!...

........What was that?

Suddenly, her ears prickled; the distant sound of chords and notes reverberating off the stone walls from further down the corridor. A PIANO?! Someone was playing...Ugh, and as soon as she'd thought it, her disposition soured. She was so put off with gross older kids. You ask them to play while you dance one time...and they demand something in return. Psh, like that one older boy's piano playing so superior and great that he had to be mean about it. Pulease.

Smol blond almost didn't enter the room from which the music was coming from...but she was CURIOUS, dangerously so, and sneakily peeked around the corner of the opened door...spotting...NOT the mean older Ravenclaw boy...but A ROO! ROO PLAYED? Well, forget about that OTHER person. Confidence restored, she practically bounded into the room, attacking Rooney's back. "Hey!"

His immediate reaction was just to laugh, and that was what he did as he reached to pat his hands at the assailant. "Hey!" Still semi unsure as to who it was, he turned his head and managed a grin. "Miss Olivia!" He should have known who it was. The voice, wasn't similar to many others. Roo was almost kicking himself for not knowing that it was her.

"Y'okay?" He hadn't caught up to her recently, or told her at all about his theatre experience over the holidays -- Miss Charlotte might have talked about it though. Hmm. He didn't know. He never did. Gryffindor girls were mighty confusing. Especially the pretty ones with blonde hair and the laugh of an angel.

More pat pat patting on Miss Olivia's girl hands, and a squeeze as he turned properly in his seat. "I can unbore you! I was playing! I know you like that sort of stuff." With a grin, he gestured for her to sit beside him, but he wasn't going to mind if she chose not to. He didn't know what she wanted to do right now, but she looked like she was a lost lamb. A pretty lamb, obviously. Lamb lion? Hm.. So much consideration to do with a first year. And a second year, because every time that Roo thought of one girl, his mind wandered to the other. Why oh why were girls just so.... why?

"Hey, so guess what I did over the holiday?" He bet she would be able to guess completely. He was pretty easy to guess things for, given that very little amounts of things excited him.
