The finest china and silverware is set on the table for this end of term feast. Although there's no food yet, wonderful smells are emanating from the kitchens, enough to make your mouth water in anticipation.
Have a seat as we wait for the Headmistress to give her speech, but make sure you take the time to swap summer plans and say goodbye to the departing seventh years. No tears... that's what the train is for!

It was the end of term. It was the end of his First Year. Carl was not sure how he felt about that. It had been an amazing year, except for strange and scary things happening every now and then. He knew for one thing though, that he was excited for the train ride, seeing his aunt and uncle again and the weeks and weeks of summer holiday!
He was going to miss this place ... talking to his friends, attending lessons and playing at the grounds. He reminded himself that he did not have to get all emotional, he would be back after a few months anyway. As a Second Year. He could not believe that it had almost been a year since he first arrived at Hogwarts.
Grinning, the Hufflepuff walked into the Great Hall and towards his House Table. He sat down and waited for others to join him. As always, he was looking forward to some good food.

The adorable first year made his way down to the Great Hall of the End of Term Feast from the Hufflepuff common room. Truth be told he was just happy for this term to be done and over with. He had fun at first but he hadn't had fun after he had gotten nearly cooked. Brady wasn't over that part yet. He wasn't over it at all.
The Scottish boy walked into the Great Hall and took a second to quickly look around. After that he started walking towards his house table. He stopped at the end of the table and looked around.

Where was everyone? There was going to be food so where were all the Hufflepuff's at? From what he learned about his house this term he knew that his fellow Badgers loved food. As the boy looked at the table he spotted Carl. He made his way over to the boy. "Hey." Bradson said as he sat across from Carl. "Where is everyone?" The Scottish boy asked.

After ducking away from the Gryffindor AND Ravenclaw tables Mel made a beeline for her friends in hufflepuff…friend, well…friends. Seeing Carl she couldn’t help but smile. “CARL HI!” She grinned as she came to a halt near him. “look…I’m wearing them” she grinned as she pointed at her very non-uniform socks.
“Hi Bradie? Bradson? Right?” she hadn’t spoken to him much but he was nice and played music too. “I wanted to come over and say hi to you guys and wish you happy summers,” she grinned. “Do you guys have any fun plans?” She asked happily.
“I’m going to be near here in Edinburgh myself for part of it…oh and London too…” she paused for a moment “we should do something and meet up for ice cream in Diagon Alley!” because yes, she wanted more Puff friends…aaaand it looked like Bradie was one of Carl’s friends so why not be friends with everyone?

So here she was at the Hufflepuff table for the last time until September. Esme was used to this by now though it would be hard for her once graduation rolled by. There were quite a few years until then, so she was not going to dwell on it; that would be plain silly when she was here to enjoy time with her friends and eat yummy food. Speaking of food, she hoped that she could eat soon because she was getting rather hungry.
"Hello, Carl and Brady" she told her Housemates with a smile. "You guys have any plans for the summer?" She herself was going to play it by ear and enjoy anything that came up. Maybe she could see if the whole family could go on a trip together. One thing was certain, however, and that was that she was going to spend as much time as possible at the beach and see if her friends could visit.

Scarlett couldn't believe it. One year in the books! Next year, she wouldn't be the newbie of the school, she'd be a SECOND year, with a whole year of education under her belt. This was crazy! Time was going by too quickly! Next thing she knew, all her siblings would be here too and she'd be graduating, looking for a job...
YIKES.
"Hey everyone!" Scarlett said as she plopped down at the table. "Hey Esme - and hey, Mel! I feel like I haven't talked to you all term!" she said with a smile as she bounced happily, waiting for the food to appear and the feast to REALLY start.

Resident Ghost of Hufflepuff | Friendly & Cheerful
Giddily, the Friar floated towards the yellow side of the Great Hall, the wonderful Hufflepuffs! He was right excited to see them all! He stopped right next to young Carl and smiled at them all.
"Hello, badgers! How are you all doing tonight? Waiting for the speech, still?" he glanced up at the staff table. It looked like the headmistress was still chattering away to her colleagues...speaking of which, what was the Hufflepuff Head of House wearing? Alfred just didn't understand the man's style choices a lot of times. It sort of resembled a very short dress...a knitted dress.
"Summer is almost here! Are you all excited?" he asked them with a chuckle and a rub of his round belly.
Just in time for the feast, Henric made his way to the Hufflepuff table and greet his fellow housemates. "Hey guys, how are you all doing?"he grinned happily, patting them on the back. He waved to them too, smiling brightly as usual. He spotted their house ghost in the mix as well. "Sir Friar, good day to you too! I'm doing great, thank you. Yes, definitely excited for summer, are you as well?"he asked the ghost. Of course, he was only teasing.
Mel grinned at Esme who she’d just barely met and looked down at her socks momentarily. “Thank you! Carl got them for me as a birthday gift” she nodded before lowering her foot back to the ground and grinning at Scarlett.
“I know…I’m sorry about that” Mel made a small face before shrugging her shoulder and smiling. “Did you have a good year? Ooh are you going to do anything fun over summer?” She asked before looking over to the Fat Friar and smiling. “I am…I get to tell my future brother-in-law congratulations on well…getting engaged to my sister” she smiled at this. “He’s cool…he was a hufflepuff” she added with a nod. Yep. She liked hufflepuffs….they were all so nice and friendly and really made her feel so welcome.

The first was going to obviously be the day that her and her Peevsie got hitched and since that was NOT today - he apparently was just too SHY to admit his undying love for her still - it was only the second bestest day.
WHY!? BECAUSE PEEVSIE WAS IN CAHOOTS WITH HER. THEY WERE EQUALS! PARTNERS IN THEIR POLTERGEISTY LIIIIIIIIIIIIIVES.
AND HE TOTALLY WAS SMITTEN!
Large buckets of glue in her wake, Miffy SWOOOOOOSH through the air and POURED the glue all over the unsuspecting students below.
Peeves was ignoring the whole lovey-dovey side of Miffy for the time being because it was admittedly awesome having a partner in crime again and her pranks were pretty much on par with his. They were even more epic teamed up! And that's what they were about to do as their grand finale for the year.
Once Miffy flew over the table dumping her buckets of glue over the heads of unsuspecting students, Peeves followed behind her carrying his buckets filled with RAVEN feathers.
"CAW, CAW, RAVENCLAW," he cackled as he dumped the feathers over the students' heads. They should stick nicely on all that glue Miffy so carefully poured. "Now you're all LOSERS.... or WINNERS." Or whatever. GEDDIT? 'Cause they could be RAVENS like RAVENCLAWS. Or, they liked to be called EAGLES, didn't they? Whoops, just a technicality. HEHEHE.

Henric looked up when Miffy and Peeves suddenly came pouring a bucket of white liquid and feathers on top of their heads. "WHAT TH-!! MIFFY! PEEVES!"he cried in exasperation. He felt the gooey substance on his shoulder and was horrified when he realised it was GLUE!!
They even got some on his hair!
AARRRGGHHH~~!
.....T_________T.....
He was so going to get them both with the Skurge Scouring charm! There he was ready to cast the spell at them but they already gone on to the next table. URGH....CRAZY POLTERGEISTS!
Philipe was running a bit late to the last feast and blinked as he came in... Why was everyone covered in glue and feathers? Maybe it was a good thing for once to be late. After all he couldn't promise he wouldn't have tried to murder Peeves and Miffy... Could you kill a Poltergeist? The third year blinked and shrugged the thought away, the term had been hard enough without needing to deal with them... But now could he find a seat that wasn't covered in glue and feathers? There was his real challenge.

Carl grinned as Brady made his way over to the Hufflepuff House Table. He hoped the boy was feeling okay, he must be glad to go home after such a horrible term. "Hey! I'm not sure, they must be on their way." He said, noticing that their table was quite empty compared to the others'. "How are you doing?" He asked.
SPOILER!!: Mel!

While he was scanning the other house tables, Carl's eyes had paused a second longer at the Gryffindor one. He wanted to talk to his Lion friends before the train ride the next day, say goodbye and so on. His grin widened when he spotted Mel making a beeline towards - well, towards him. "Hi, Mel! Oh, oh wow. You look great in those socks." Was that even a compliment? "I mean, it matches your House colors." He amended himself.
The Badger nodded. "A happy summer to you too! I am going to hang out with my Muggle friends, but other than that I don't have much plans. 'm mostly just excited to see my aunt and uncle again." He said happily. "What about you? Do you have any summer plans?"
Oh, ice cream in Diagon Alley! "Yeah, that would be awesome! And we should have a movie night too." Carl remembered Mel saying that she liked Muggle movies. He had tons of those at home, so she could visit one day.
SPOILER!!: Esme!

The twelve-year-old turned around as Esme greeted him. "Hello, Esme!" He replied, returning the smile. He had grown to like her over the year, because of her caring and encouraging personality. "Not much. Family, friends, Diagon Alley and movies. And other events that decide to pop up, I guess. What about you?"
SPOILER!!: the Fat Friar!

He sensed somebody floating to where he sat and looked up to see the Friar smiling down at them. It was amazing how nine months time changed his perception about ghosts entirely. The boy did not jump at the sight of one anymore, let alone sneak away in the opposite direction to avoid the chilly feeling he got.
"Good evening, Sir!" He followed his House Ghost's gaze to the Staff Dais, where the staff members were conversing with each other. He did not notice anything strange in anybody's clothing, for he turned his attention to the Friar quickly. "I sure am excited! Are you - are you staying here for the holiday?" He asked. That would be sad, but Carl hoped he enjoyed his summer.
SPOILER!!: Henric!

Carl looked around as he received a pat on the back. It was Henric! "Hey, Henric!" He smiled back. "Do you have any summer plans?" He asked the Prefect, realizing that he would be a Seventh Year in a few months. That must be ... intimidating.

Of all the things that could happen in a Feast, this was most unexpected. The Hufflepuff felt liquid glue fall with a SPLAT onto him and his friends, followed by feathers. Oh ... Ravenclaw. Funny.
Wiping glue out of his face, he laughed despite himself.

Brian arrived at the feast pretty late, though he was almost always late for everything, it was a little embarrassing. HE'D WORK ON IT NEXT TERM. Yeah. He'd make the most noble and ancient house of Hufflepuff proud of him by being SO ON TIME. HE WOULD NOT LET HELGA DOWN A SECOND LONGER. And he happened to arrive in the middle of The Fat Friar's speech so he sent a wide grin at the old ghostly man person. "Hello, Mr Friar. Reverend?" Ghost person? WHAT DO WE CALL YOU AGAIN? It had only been four whole terms here at Hogwarts and yet Brian was still not exactly the sharpest pair of twig clips in the drawer.
But the speech happened and Brian being Brian, clapped enthusiastically for the Ravenclaws - who totally deserved their win with all their hard work - and cheered and then there was food and we all know how much Hufflepuffs loved their food. And Brian was no exception. FOOD, FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOOOOOD. He was very ready to burst into song too!
.... and then Miffy arrived.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" he all but screamed, reaching onto the table for the Norandula just as Miffy doused them in glue and crouching over it so that it remained unharmed. He was a good parent, okay? Even read bedtime stories to the plant every so often. Y'know, when Paige wasn't reading him a bedtime story. They had this whole joint custody down pretty well. Though that wasn't his point. His point was that at least his little baby Neville the Norandula was safe and unharmed and ALL WAS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.
And he was just about to straighten up again when THE OTHER POLTERGEIST LADY PERSON CAME OVER AND DUMPED FEATHERS ON THEM. AHHHHHHH. SAVE THE BABY, YES, GOOD PLAN.
