Torie stepped into the great hall when suddenly he felt something cold fall right on his neck and he shivered squirming as the drip ran down his back under his shirt. Then another fell and another and he looked up expecting to see Peeves there when he saw snow falling constantly now and blinked the snow from his eyes. What... He shivered as the snow quickly was starting to fall heavy and looked around him and the wind blew. His hands went to his opposite arms as he shivered and looked to see if anyone else was there. Seeing Azura he moved her way "What in merlin's name is going on?" he asked with another shiver.

Why was it so cold and snowy in here? He looked around again and saw the ghosts at the staff table. The couldn't cause it could they?

Azura turned as she heard a voice and a smile lit up the young Ravenclaw's face as she saw Torie standing there! "Torrrieeee!" The purple eyed girl dashed through the snow to him and gave him a bit of a hug before looking around..

"I'm not even sure, I walked in for lunch and found.. Uhh.. Snow." Which she had a love hate relationship with.. It was SOOO pretty.. but it was SOOO cold at the same time, and she always felt super lonely when it was cold out..

On the plus side.. She could fall in it and it wouldn't hurt as much.. Hopefully!

"So. uhh.. do you think the Ghosts could be doing this? Peeves? Something else?" Oh MERLIN! Was that creepy doll behind this??

Penelope trudged through the snow to the Hufflepuff table, where it seemed that the Hufflepuffs had not yet heard that students were to leave the great hall. Couldn't lose any Hufflepuffs to the snow. "Everyone needs to leave the great hall because of the heavy snow. The professors are trying to figure out how to stop it." They should be fine on food. From what she had heard, the Hufflepuff common room was very close to the kitchen. And now back to the regularly scheduled herding masses of students out of the great hall.

He smiled and hugged her back. Another warm body, merlin it was getting cold in here! "Hi Azura" he said beaming at her. He nodded at what she said "Same here. This just is odd, it's no where near being cold enough in here, let alone outside." he said looking around and shivering again. He didn't mind snow much, when he was prepared for it! What were they to do? Eat with gloves on?

"They might be....but I kind of doubt it? I don't know that ghosts can create snow to happen, even if it were cold due to them. Peeves....I don't know if he's able either." he added in a murmur. It seemed to be a prank possibly?

He looked up as a prefect spoke and sighed dropping his head "Do you want to get food in the kitchens?"

"Hey." Azura said brightly as he hugged her back. Torie always gave the BEST hugs! And she grinned at him as he smiled down at her.. It was always nice when her friends liked to see her! Sometimes she worried they didn't..

But surprisingly.. even Jace whose live she had made a a terrible mess, still wanted to be her friend.. Maybe she wasn't that terrible?

Azura nodded as he spoke, she really wasn't sure WHAT was going on, but before she could say anything, The very prefect who had fixed her nose on the platform came up to inform them that it was time to leave..

She nodded at Torie, "That sounds like an excellent idea.. Better yet, wanna get food and eat it down by the lake or something?" She asked him.

*giggle*

It's as if the sound of the Poltergeist's words of praise ignited something else, something different and yet oh-so-familiar. If you listen closely enough, over the sound of the hustle and bustle of the Great Hall, you might just hear...

... Was that a giggle?

He beamed at her as she grinned at him, but a cold shiver went through him again and he blew some snow away from his nose. "Maybe we should go get something warm to drink too, to warm them up. "OH! I like that idea, have a picnic of sorts." In the sunshine, outside by the lake, not in with the cold snow and wind!

He moved to go towards the door so they could get food from the kitchens, when he heard the giggling. "What...?" he looked towards Azura, he'd heard her giggle before, that wasn't... "Who just...?"

Azura nodded as Torie spoke.. "That sounds like a perfect idea.. Warm drinks a picnic.." This was turning out to be a great afternoon! She liked hanging out with Torie! They didn't do it nearly often enough for her liking, but she knew he was busy!

They were moving towards the door when..

She heard it..

A giggle.. One that she had heard before.. One that sent a cold chill down her spine!!

"EEEKKK!! I know that giggle.." And just like that.. Azura jumped into Torie's arms.. uncaring about anything..She was terrified..

"The doll is back." She whispered as she hugged Torie's neck..

Gwen was annoyed. She had already missed half her first year due to medical issues, so she would need to repeat the term. And on top of that, was it actually, truly snowing in the great hall? It was her first day back, she didn't need any of this. She had just wanted some hot chocolate.

She heard whispers and someone saying to clear the Great Hall. She groaned, this was not what she expected on her first day back.
