cant double post so... Violetta first ;) Quote:
But then this Violetta lady said she played 15 musical instruments! "Whoaahhh!..." the curly top breathed "What instruments do you play? Didja play the drums??" |
Elliot question 3! The 1600's? WHOA. So dude was like WAY OLD. And he had worked at the Ministry, so he was some sort of hot shot huh? Scarlett smiled. He seemed pretty cool - now what did he help vote on? Hmmm. She had to remember her history here. What had happened during the 1600's? She thought and thought before the answer finally popped in her head. "OH! OH! Did you vote on the Statute of Secrecy?" she asked with a grin. That HAD to be it. She couldn't remember anything else that important in their history - well, nothing that wasn't like, the Wizarding War, which was way later. |
Violetta SPOILER!!: Violetta There were others now asking the portrait questions as well which made it just a little big tougher to come up with her own. Though at the same time it was helpful as it gave a lot more for Hady to wrote down on her parchment. And write it all down she did. This could be used in the paragraphs she had to write later. Fifteen instruments though? Now that was certainly something. "Wow Madame Bullstrode that's amazing! Which instrument is your favorite to play?" Surely she had one she preferred over all the others. |
Question 4- Augustus Flume and the gang! Rachel looked unabashedly at Haddie. She was expecting this kind of response from her friend and she was not disappointed. "We'll see about you having my cupcake,'' she said. Haddie might be more forceful and demanding but Rachel certainly had made it her goal not to give into everything. She smiled at the girl as she went to sit nearby. She had achieved her goal; Haddie giving into her this time. She was staying. Rachel now turned her attention back to Augustus and his group which now included Tia. She smiled broadly at her student idol then went back to making a few notes about Augustus. If she were going to be presenting then she had to ensure she had all the information. "Oh! A potioneer. How interesting. Was there any particular potion or potions he invented or improved?'' Potions happened to be the girl's worst subject. |

2: Artemesia Timms Katherine's mouth nearly hit the floor. Starting seeker??????!!!!!! "What was the first game you won?" she asked excitedly - she had never seen a live Quidditch game before and she had a bigger admiration of the players due to their lack of fear of heights. |
Elliot Kegworth - Question #2 Mr. Kegworth had been a Ravenclaw, just like Garreth! The moment he learned that fact, he knew he had not chosen the wrong portrait. The boy's admiration for the painted man was already beginning to take shape. "What do you mean, not as stimulating? Does it feel.. two dimensional?"He didn't expect an answer to that one, as the moment he said it, he realized it was probably a little rude. He observed the man as he answered the other student's questions, and furled his brow, trying to come up with another - more appropriate - question to ask. "Mr. Kegworth?" he found a quiet moment to ask his question. Rather inspired by Ava's earlier question about the reason Elliot had been painted in the first place, as he had intended on asking just that, he instead thought of something perhaps a little less relevant, but interesting to him nonetheless. "Who painted you?" |
Violetta Bullstrode Fun Sucker Finch.Well guess that mean Dante had to get on thinking of four more questions. That was just too much work. They had a good plan. Even displayed teamwork Finch. Now you just ruined it. Sigh. Dante go up and went over to the portrait. Looks like he would have to get this thing started. Might as well just be as blatant as possible with his question "So Bullstrode, Did your parents hate you when they named you?" It was a question. With a name like Violetta Bullstrode, Dante also wondered if they were sane. Though he guessed there are worst names imagine having the last name Quackenboss. |
Violetta Bullstrode (Question 3) Wow, Violetta was giving a ton of information. Esme made a mental note of everything so that they could write their paragraphs about her. AND she could play multiple instruments!! That was pretty cool despite the fact that the woman seemed like an old grump. She'd never disrespect her, however, and not just because Professor Handsome wouldn't like it. "That's really impressive," she told the portrait with a smile. "Me and my mother are both musically gifted as well." Somehow she had a feeling that Violetta wouldn't appreciate anything done by Lima and the Lemurs, but the fact remained that they were both gifted. "What was your favourite instrument to play?" Hers was the piano! Smiling at Olivia, Esme wondered what her next question would be. They were going to do great on their presentation, she was sure of it! |

She was about to elaborate on just what instruments she did play, but then her eyes flashed at the boy who was obviously raised by wolves considering his utter lack of manners. “Insolent child! Remove your nasty and rude little self from the vicinity of my frame this instant!” She would not tolerate being spoken to in that way. Quote:

Lazy Barrington. Somehow he was not surprised. He shut his eyes momentarily as Violetta screeched loudly at the boy, then he sighed. He knew he was not leaving this classroom without a headache now. "Mister Barrington, perhaps you've forgotten my rules on respect in this classroom." Or just never bothered to read them in the first place. That was more likely. "Respect is expected to be given to every guest of this classroom, alive or not. Perhaps a loss of five points will help you remember next time." He doubted it, but he hated automatically assuming the worst. |
Violetta Bulstrode... with one L, I think ;) (post 2) + mention of Dante Quote:
He started by jotting down that she was the youngest of four, born in 2000, in Haslemere, went to WADA from 2011-2018, played 15 instruments, composed Who Cast the Spell on Music... sounded like a good musical, though he'd never seen it, certainly... and Davie was still jotting stuff down when the portrait looked straight at him. He nearly jumped at the sudden eye contact. It was INTENSE. But cool. But mostly intense. "Uh... uh..." Davie quickly did the calculation on his hand, since he was writing all over himself with this quill apparently. "He was there in 2049, to 2051, I think." End of '49, graduated in '51... sounded about right. "He was a transfer from Hogwarts, and I think he studied acting... and then he graduated early," Davie added helpfully. Was that helpful? It still seemed doubtful that Ms. Bulstrode would know Ethan Truebridge, but he was awfully proud of his dad so he mentioned him to her anyway. He almost snickered at the first year's question about posing with something on her back, because he thought he caught the reference, but fortunately Davie was able to hold his laughter in. Ms. Bulstrode seemed the type to get offended at anyone's snickering, so when that older Slytherin he'd once partnered with in Arithmancy asked if Ms. Bulstrode's parents hated her, Davie gasped and whacked the older boy lightly on the arm. "You can't just ask people that," he corrected him, barely suppressing another smile. The professor had just taken away points from Dante, though, so Davie didn't say anything else. Also, Davie didn't yet notice that he'd smacked Dante with his ink-covered notes hand, so he went on to ask the portrait another question. Since they were on the topic of families... "Are you a pureblood, ma'am? Do you come from a talented family?" |
Artemesia Timms Text Cut: Artemesia Timms Ariadne dashed to her book bag and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. Had she known when they started the activity that she'd have to write a whole paragraph, she'd have gathered some note-taking material way earlier. She took a few minutes to jot down everything she'd learned so far and then dashed back to the portrait. When she returned, Artemesia had been talking away to some of the other students. OH, NO! Did she miss everything? ...no, not everything, because Ariadne got back just in time to hear the portrait's loud gasp and shock over being called dead. Oh, no! She'd gone and made the lady made, and just seconds before, she'd called her precious! She didn't need to get on Artemesia's bad side. She had a paragraph to write! "I'm sooo sorry!" she said. "Please forgive me, Miss Artemesia!" "You were a SEEKER? That's an awesome position to play!" she exclaimed. "I bet you're a really good player!" She was careful not say 'you WERE a really good player', because as the woman had just pointed out, she was NOT dead. "My sister's a beater for the Holyhead Harpies. I want to be a beater or a keeper one day, too!" Sooo...what else did she want to know? "So what was it like being famous? Did you get to sign LOADS of autographs?" |
Quote:
Oh, had he said that already? To be honest, Olly was not really listening to what the others were asking him. He was not super good at paying attention. He had heard the bit about candy though, because candy was important. "What battle? What exactly was the legislation?" Did he care? Honestly, not really. But this was what they were doing in class, and it was the next logical thing to ask. So. |
Violetta Bullstrode Merlin, Dante was an idiot. It was more than a little obvious why he'd ended up in a house other than Ravenclaw. Dot sneered at him in her most regal way before dismissing him with a hair toss. Not like he could do worse than lose points, and now he had to go find a different portrait to harass. Unless he was hoping to annoy all of them equally. "Madame Bullstrode," Dot turned her attention back to the woman in her portrait and nodded slightly in acknowledgement of her polite answers. Mostly polite. She was a musician, had attended WADA (!!!), and was probably quite famous to Dot's grandmother. Deserved attention and respect, that much was for sure. "I think I've heard of the operetta you wrote. What's your favorite piece of music to perform? What's your favorite that you've written?" |
Question 5- Augustus Flume Rachel's keen eyes observed the way Mr Flume's eyes rested on the portrait of Violetta. She giggled to herself. Mr Flume seemed smitten with the woman. She found it absoloutely cute and adorable. Smiling, she made some more notes. Everything this portrait had to say was quite interesting. "He seemed to have been very brilliant.'' The girl had new respect for human counterpart of this portrait. "I will be sure to research this potion, Mr Flume.'' She had already scribbled the name of it neatly in her book. Rachel paused, trying to think of another question. "Where did you, your human counter part, complete his education." Was it just Hogwarts or University as well? |
Lucian Warrington NO CHOCOLATE FROGS? OH MAN. What kind of life WAS it back then. That was horrendous. Poor guy. No wonder he'd been all grumpy in the beginning. Sugar plums sounded cool, though. She'd never even seen them at Honeydukes, which meant they were probably fabulously exotic. Or gross. One of the two. It was strange to think about how he didn't even know how he'd died, but before she could inquire about it further he'd moved on. Legislature. Riiiiight. That explained why she'd never heard of him. "Did you have a favorite subject as a student?" He HAD been a student, right? Was legislature something you could do without going to lessons first? If so, the word was awfully misleading in all its fanciness. |
Ansley, Davie, Dot & Artemesia Timms Well she did not take the question well at all. And now who was being the rude one. All he did was ask a question. She should be the one old enough to be mature at at least. She had to be at least 100. Oh well. And yeah what rules was Finch talking about. Ah well now that he said them he would not need to go read them. And he guessed the lose could help him remember. Couldn't hurt. Meh, five points. He still wondered if that counted as his first question. The portrait did not answer it. But he did ask one. Plus he never agreed with respect must be given. Courtesy is given. Respect is earned. Though to be fair he did not show courtesy. There was that. He should work on that. But it is so hard when you don't care. "Couldn't Hurt Professor" And did he just get whacked in the arm. Oh it was that ravenclaw second year now. And you can when they have a sense of humor. which apparently Bullstrode did not. Might be because people teased her about her name when she was little. Dante did not doubt it.......and did that kid just put ink on his arm. He did. Sigh. This was worst than losing the five points. AND he saw that Dot. That look with the hair toss. Dante just winked at her for fun and moved onto another portrait. Artemesia, he liked that name. "Hello Artemesia. What did you do for a living when i guess you where alive" See Courtesy. |
Violetta Bullstrode Sooooooo, she had a music thing, that was obvious... and could he claim the answers of questions asked by others? It seemed legit, like ONE GIANT PROJECT... so, unless Mr SpoilSport was going to dampen all of their socks, he was just going to go along with it. ... but gosh. Dante! Zeke had scoffed in an attempted to hide a laugh... BUT GOSH DANTE! Clearly though, SpoilSport was around to fix that. No surprise there. Dante could join him in the points-loss club. They really were too cool for school - or HoM at least. "Ms Bullstrode, did you attend Hogwarts?" he asked, all the while finishing off the notes he'd taken on his parchment. Writing, speaking, listening. He was MULTITASKING. |
Augustus Flume Question 4 Kitty thought it was simply wonderful how Augustus seemed especially interested in Violetta. She noted it in her notebook. "I just thought of two more questions."Kitty was so excited about the possible romance between Augustus and Violetta that she wanted to continue on the subject. "Did Augustus Flume ever marry when he was alive? And is it possible for portraits to marry?" |
Lucian Warrington - Post 3 Legislature? He was about to ask the portrait what kind of legislature but the kid in front had already asked so...next question then. He raised his hand once more,"What did you do for a living? Would you tell us more about your accomplishments?" Henric wanted more details, the guy wasn't giving them any. Come on...just tell them already! |
Elliot Kegworth - Question 2 Colt heard Elliot answer his question and he was impressed. Not one of his favorite subjects but he will take it. Least his question stood out. He nodded and then thought of another question to ask him. "Well I prefer Defense Against the Dark Arts if I say so myself.." He wondered if the portrait would argue with him. Let's see. He thought about it and heard the other's asking questions. He didn't wanna repeat any of it. He missed his chance to ask his question when Elliot was talking again. He snorted when Colt assumed he was a goody two shoes. He rolled his eyes and now he was getting a history lesson. Yawwwnnn but then again that was the point of this lesson. He was learning a lot about him. Apparently he was the youngest on the council. "Was any of your family members on the International Confederation of Wizards? How did you know about it being so young is what I am getting at.." Let's see him answer this one. He heard Dante's question and he literally snorted with laughter. He thought that was golden. He gave the dude props for that one. Apparently the teacher didn't find it funny. Aww come on have a sense of humor. |
Elliot Kegworth : question 2 Elliot would have to admit he loved this attention. And he was delighted to answer all the questions to help educate these young minds. “Hello, Jeslyn,” he smiled at the newcomer. “I can’t say I ever snuck out to go to Hogsmeade. We were allowed to go out at assigned times, so there was no need to sneak out. That’s against the rules, you know.” He chuckled. These good students didn’t break the rules, did they?
Little Jeslyn giggled to his explanation. " You're right. Just in case something emergency happen in the school like war or else. So I'll know where should go." She made an excuse But please don't tell professor Finch about this." Jessie laughed nervously. " Then sir, you used to be a student here. I wonder about the difference between Hogwarts in your era with recently. Could you tell me ?" As a firstie she needs to ask politely. |
Elliott question 4 He was one of the youngest wizard at the International Confederation of Wizards? Coolness. "Well, you seemed a very important person in history." The young lioness comment. "Did you participate in making a certain regulations?" She curiously asked. Come on, spill it! History wasn't her strongest subject, okay? |
Portrait: Violetta Bulstrode Quote:
And yowza! What a set of pipes. She's a singer alright. Tenacius watched her lose her temper with the Slytherin dude. Temperamental celebrities. What else is new? |
