Professor & Violetta - Question 2/3 SPOILER!!: Professor Finch Wait. What? Did Professor Finch just offer to take her on as his apprentice? It did sound that way. Hady's frown was gone and she was once more grinning. "I am Sir and I would. I'd certainly put forth all my effort into learning." She assured him with a firm nod of her head. Taking on another task probably wasn't the best idea but she would sooooo love to do this on her own. Please say yes, please! SPOILER!!: Portrait Violetta Oops. Apparently the snakette had started off with the wrong question. Oh well. No taking it back now. At least she had an answer. Wizarding school of Dramatic Arts huh? Well then. "Could you tell me more about some of your talents? Or maybe about a few of the things you learned while in school there?," Hady asked Violetta quietly. Even if the portrait was snippy she seemed to enjoy talking about herself. Hopefully these questions would get her talking more. |
Violetta Bullstrode SPOILER!!: Melbourne Well at least Mel was up for it... the group thing. Making faster work of things was totally something he was up for. Sharing was caring, and whatever... mmhmm. As for tackling the guy not in his portrait, "somehow I don't think we'd get away with interviewing an empty portrait..." one could hope though. SPOILER!!: Dante It was a plan. Officially. Minimal effort and maximum outcome... "I'm cool with Bullstrode," he confirmed with a slight shoulder shrug. He didn't think it really mattered either way. SPOILER!!: Finch .... and Finch was being a party pooper again. The dude really wasn't inspiring, was he? Not only was this bogus, but they EACH had to ask 5 questions? In a group that was harder. There were four of them, which meant they needed 20 questions - and naturally that was more difficult to think of than 5. Would they get extra credit? He doubted it somehow. Lame. SPOILER!!: Ilia Wow. A compliment. Zeke would have been flattered if he had cared, but as it so happened his caring factor was on '0' where crazy girl was concerned. If she stayed out of his way, he'd offer her the same courtesy. Somehow, so far, they'd managed to be seated at the same table without much difficulty. "How kind of you to say," he'd drawled in reply. Super. And what was that rubbish about it being greater insight? Easier to write an essay? That was.... so dumb. He could write a perfectly sound essay with 3 questions, really. Ugh. "Well no point sitting around, let's get this started," he mused, taking a spare parchment and his quill with him. Note taking, it was a thing. Approaching the Bullstrode portrait, Zeke got the party rolling with what he figured whas the most basic of questions. "Ms Bullstrode? May I ask about your early life? When and where were you born?" Yes. That. First question, the very beginning... it was only logical. |
Elliot Question 2! OOOOOH he'd been a Ravenclaw? That was pretty cool! He looked like a Ravenclaw. If they had a look - which Scarlett thought they totally did. Hmm, what would her next question to the portrait be? She tapped her chin in thought as she pondered it... "When did you attend school? Like what year?" she asked. She wondered if by some miracle it had been when her father had been at school, or even teaching - but that was a stretch. He was probably MUCH older than that. |

Haddie wasn't in the mood though, honestly. Not for chatting with any other portraits, or writing the paragraph, and definitely not for presenting. She also wasn't in the mood to argue with Rachel... would Rachel be able to sense that? Still, she was going to try at least once. "Counter offer, you help me sneak out unnoticed, and I give you my cupcake at dinner tonight." She grinned, hopeful. |
SPOILER!!: Nice try, Haddie xD Rachel sighed. She knew Haddie would remain stubborn about this class. Cupcakes? She cast the girl a sharp look. "That's low of you, Hadleigh Holland Denaker,'' she whispered so as to not disturb the others. "You know cupcakes are my absolute favourite sweet treats so you're using it against me.'' The dark haired Eagle was in a dilemma though. An extra cupcake sounded heavenly but she didn't want Haddie to skive the class. She weighed the pros and cons of this in her head, using all her logic to arrive at the better solution. Finally, she shook her head. "I am not going to let you leave. Questions pertaining to the portraits may be a part of the final exams. I don't want you failing this subject.'' If Haddie had been sick, it would have been a different mater but no amount of cupcakes was going to let Rachel make Haddie leave. "I'm sorry, Haddie.'' She linked their arms tighter together. Her attention was back on Flume. |
Violetta Bulstrode SPOILER!!: the group of awesome Professor Finch had burst her little idea of making this an easy project….well, and the portrait showing up. “I didn’t mean less work…I meant the portrait was empty at first” Mel said tipping her head at the portrait she was indicating to. “But I like your idea Dante…we could each ask one question per person five times and make the portrait answer one after another in a circle?” She offered because that could be fun…and easy. “Alright. I’ll use them both maybe?” She offered with a grin…really, it wasn’t that she liked ancient runes she just like historical things and mythology in general…heck, growing up with a bunch of boooooooring history buffs kind of did that to you. “oooh yes. Let’s do that then!” Mel agreed with Ilia almost instantly because making the assignment easier was better than being silly about things. “Bullstrode it is then” Mel nodded when she heard Zeke’s approval. Sorry Dante, it was a majority vote. Mel liked the question that Zeke came up with it was smart, easy, and really a great start for the essay but really…they needed loads of details. “Hello Ms Violetta Bulstrode,” Mel started. “First off – might I ask what you would like to be called? And secondly,” she added trying to build off of Zeke’s questions, “with your early life did you have a large family?” |
SPOILER!!: Rach, tsk tsk Haddie glared at her best friend a moment. So typical of Rachel. She could be so insufferable sometimes. Infuriatingly so. "Fine!" she hissed back. "But you are asking the questions, AND doing the presentation, AND I get your cupcake tonight!" How'd ya like dem apples? Huh? Take that! She sat down on a table next to the portrait Rachel was talking to, swinging her legs as waited for Rachel to finish up with the questions. And started to drum her fingers on the desk. |
Janelle's portrait of choice was now surrounded by several students, all firing questions at the woman. As Ms. Timms began to respond, Janelle had to listen carefully for the answer to her question. Ahhhh. She was a seeker. That meant that Ms. Timms was a professional Quidditch player. Clearly she thought that the students knew who she was. Maybe they did, but Janelle was pretty much clueless about her subject. Hoping to change all of that, Janelle geared up for question number two. "Ms. Timms, what are some of your other interests............besides Quidditch, that is?" She would imagine that Quidditch wasn't the only thing that the seeker was interested in. Quill and notebook in hand, Janelle took down the important details. She had some paragraphs to write. Apparently she was also going to have to make a presentation to the class. Was it too late to rethink the -I'll just go solo and forgo the group-idea? |
Augustus Flume second question - mention of Rachel, Tenacius, and Haddie Kitty smiled back at Rachel, and she giggled (but not in a rude way) at Tenacius's question about the portraits hair. She found it funny to imagine any students hair falling out before they graduated Hogwarts. Soon they were joined by Haddie, who began whispering with Rachel. Out of pure curiosity Kitty tried to hear what they were saying, but the only thing she heard was when Haddie hissed "Fine!" and went to sit down. She was angry about something, but curious as Kitty was she knew it would be rude if she asked what she was angry at - because then they would know that she had been eavesdropping. Then asking her second question to Flume, Kitty crossed her arms and asked, "Were you ever interested in fashion? Your hair is so cool that I wonder if you did. I think it's great when guys are into make up and fashion." |
Lucian Warrington - Post 2 SPOILER!!: Question Time OW. Norah accidentally stepped on his foot! Henric could only grimace back a response, trying his best not to look like he was in pain. "Its fine, Norah...just ask the portrait more questions please..."he mumbled under his breath, shuffling back his feet away from being stepped on again. Soon the man in the frame came into view and started telling the boy at the front to back away a few steps. Frowning slightly, he wondered if this Warrington guy wanted to be here in the first place. Oh well... "Hi...." Henric muttered a greeting. Warrington wanted more questions directed towards him. So impatient....sheesh. "What made you famous, Mr.Warrington?" he asked while raising his hand. Was he knighted? Should he call him a "Sir" too? |
Violetta... (post 1) SPOILER!!: Reply to MJ from earlier As soon as Haddie got up to go talk to a portrait, Davie did too, only heading in the opposite direction. She hadn't liked his note, had she? HAH. At least she wasn't a tattle tale and was turning him in to the professor... so who was she talking to? Violetta Bulstrode? Huh. David wasn't, like, spying on his archenemy or anything Quote:

But Olly had another question. "How long did it take to paint this portait of you? Did you have to sit for a long time? Who painted it?" Artists were important too. |
Violetta Bulstrode A gold star, hmm? That was kind of nice, although Dot wasn't sure if it was just for show or actually meant something in the long run. She shined it up a bit with her sleeve before looking toward the portraits that the professor had set out for them to chat with. None of them were people that Dot already knew, and all of them were getting rather popular. Nothing to do but shove on through and find a spot for herself. Dot opted for the woman in the closest frame, the one with the very pretty name. The Slytherin prefect seated herself in front of the portrait and arranged her robes around herself carefully. Y'know what turned out to be nice about her bright hair? People always noticed her eventually, for better or for worse. "Good morning, Madame Bulstrode. My name is Charlotte Wojack-Gusey, and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Violetta is a very pretty name. Is it a family name?" |
Elliot Kegworth Of course you could be any age, but... usually it was old important people who had stuff like this done. Elliot didn't really look the type to be painted, you know? Jaemin tilted his head and looked at the man in the frame, edging a little bit closer. He was less unnerving than other portraits had been. "Why did you get painted?" People usually had a reason for stuff like this. Right? They didn't just make magical portraits all willy-nilly. It took a long time to make them look right and everything, and then to make them into the right people... spells and stuff, and probably more than that. He'd have to look up how that all worked, somehow. |
Violetta Bulstrode (Question 2) As Professor Handsome addressed the class, Esme turned her attention to him momentarily. They had to write a paragraph and present to the class? She wasn't huge on writing or presentations, but she supposed that they could manage fine... Olivia asked a rather interesting question, but apparently Violetta Bulstrode HADN'T attended Hogwarts. The woman didn't need to be snobbish in her response, but at least she was answering them. No wonder most people headed for the other portraits... No matter. "Can you tell us about your stage career?" It would be interesting to hear about. Hopefully. |
Post 3 - Violetta Bulstrode SPOILER!!: Violetta and Esme So no Hogwarts…which also meant no Slytherin. Not that the answer of the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts didn’t clue into the haughty nature of the woman in the frame. Artists could be just as bad…though not her aunt Allie…at least most of the time. When her own question was answered, it was done rather simply. Studied under the best on the field and developed under their tutelage. Olivia wasn’t sure that was much to go on, especially as Professor Finch spoke up to the class once more explaining the purpose of their gathered information. Great…especially with a painting who liked to shoot looks at people. At least it hadn’t deterred Esme as much as it bothered Haddie, the Hufflepuff asking Violetta another question. Maybe that would get more information, though Olivia wondered if stage was the right topic. The portrait had mentioned not the dramatics…right? “Forgive our ignorance, Ms. Bulstrode…” she mused, trying a different approach, hoping the woman wouldn’t hold it against them and decide to simply share to help them become fans of hers. “What year did you graduate?” she asked as well, “in case I want to find out about your work.” The time period of her life might be good to know for whatever report they were to give. |
Elliot Kegworth He was a Ravenclaw? "My twin brother is also a Ravenclaw like you." She said. So many Ravenclaws... Ava didn't have anything against them. And his suggestion about studying hard and do the best clearly made him such a true eagle. Moving on to the next question. "So you're not a student leader or any kind of hero.... Why your portraits was left in this castle?" Again she asked. "I mean... Did you just left it here without any particular reason? Maybe not... There must be something you have done so in honor to remember you, there's your portrait here in this castle." Come on, Elliot. Spill it... |
Eliot Kegworth , first question Jessie felt glad to meet new friends from Ravenclaw. But she was not good at starting conversation beside the professor forbid them to talk too much. So,Jessie remained silent in her seat and just play with her book or observed the other. The professor told all the class about five potraits and made a chance to gave tem five questions, seemed like the lesson being more interesting. Jessie wait for her turn. Her petite body makes her looks like invisible. She hopes that she'll being noticed by other peoples. Stood in front of the potrait choosen by her, her turn finally come. Proffesor named him Elliot Kegworth. "Hi Elliot. I hope you don't mind If I call you by your first name." Jessie smiled "I'm Jeslyn from Gryffindor. Did you know about.... secret escape to go to Hogsmead ? " Jessie lowering her voice so can't be heard by Professor Finch |
+ Dot || Portrait: Violetta Bulstrode Tenacius followed the ginger prefect to another portrait and as he listened to her answer questions of students who came before them. Oh so she's a celebrity? His grandma will get along really well with her. He did have a question though "So what do you do? Do you sing? Dance? Balance a champagne glass on your uh.... back?" hey that lady that supposedly broke something in the Muggle world did so by doing just that. |
post 1 ... augustus flume group ^_^ Professor Finch didn't seem all too impressed with her story of her interaction with a portrait, but to be honest, she didn't blame him. If she was him, she wouldn't have been impressed either because it was rather lame and had she had longer to consider, she probably could have created a more elaborate story with more frills. No matter though, because it seemed they were getting the opportunity to actually talk with one of five different portrait people, for real. Considering her options, the seventh year went over to join the Augustus Flume group in time to hear the man telling her third year housemate about how he never spent much time on the fourth floor. "Hello, Mister Flume," Tia greeted in polite fashion. "How come you never spent much time on the fourth floor? Did you not like the library?" Mister Augustus must not have been a Ravenclaw. |
Lucian Warrington He wasn't sure if it was an actual group per say, but there was Ollie and Norah so he saw no point in NOT talking to the snooty portrait that clearly took his own frame too seriously. Blaise headed over, catching the tail end of the picture not knowing what chocolate frogs were. "They're only the most amazing things in the world next to jelly slugs and cauldron cakes and ice-mice and cookie dough ice-cream." He said rather helpfully as he settled in next to the two. "But I have a question for you. If you don't know what chocolate frogs are, are you old enough to have never had candy or did they have different stuff back then?" Blaise propped his notepad against his knee, ready to take down the answer when it was given. |
Portrait: Augustus Flume || and we see you all Flume fans ;) Quote:
There was something going on with that other Ravenclaw (Hadie), and the curly top looked at her all concerned and confused. Is it just him or are Hogwarts girls kinda moody, or rather mood-swings-y? Does it spread like nargles? Because he could swear Mel was coming down with it. Oh wait, theres Ms Head Girl. The curly top gave her a cheerful grin and a small wave. Aint they glad they are here together, having survived that smelly ol tent for a bright future of talking to dead people?... In paintings? But oh, Augustus has responded to his question "Potions?" Was it really that simple? "Do you mean its something to drink or something to put on my hair like shampoo?" |

SPOILER!!: Violetta questions So many, many questions… she could hardly keep them all straight. What lengths she would go to for her fans. “I was born in the year 2000 in a village called Haslemere,” she began, trying to summarize several questions into one answer. “I attended the academy from 2011 to 2018. Though of course I began school with much talent, by the time I left, I was able to play 15 musical instruments, leading me to compose and solely perform the well-known operetta, Who Cast the Spell on Music?” Certainly they knew about it? But perhaps they weren’t as cultured as she. Quote:

“Oh, I went to Hogwarts a very long time ago.” His painted eyes looked up to the top of his frame as he tried to remember the exact dates. “Sixteeeeen.. seventy-four? I think it was, when I was eleven and first came to school. There was much unrest at that time and when I was a little older, I went to work at the Ministry, and was even appointed a seat on the International Confederation of Wizards – one of the youngest wizards ever there!” That was a basic answer to some of the similar questions, he supposed. But he didn’t know why his portrait was placed here. To educate people, maybe? That wasn’t exactly his decision. “I did help decide on something very important though.” How well did they know their history? |
Quote:
Wait, back to his original line of questioning. He had been going somewhere with that. "Why did you have a portrait painted? Was it because you did something interesting?" You never know. It was possible that he had just happened to have a portrait painted and only became famous after the fact. It seemed unlikely that someone would willingly sit for four hours without a good reason, but still possible. |
Augustus Flume question 3 So far the answer to both of Kitty's questions had been "no", Augustus didn't know the backstory to the Tapestry and he didn't care about fashion. She had only asked because personally she liked fashion and wondered if Augustus liked it too. It was a question she asked most people when she first met them, but she didn't mind if the answer was no. One of the other students had asked why he didn't spend much time in the fourth floor, as a follow up to Kitty's own question. Kitty wrote the anser down in her notebook. "Hey Augustus...are you friends with the other three portraits in this room? Do you talk to them a lot?"It might have been a gossip question, but Kitty was honestly curious. |
