As the students enter the greenhouse today, it is a warm reprieve from the cold that engulfed them outside. The sun was shining, and Paul was sitting atop a table in front of the greenhouses, his gloves next to him as he waited, calmly, for people to enter.
“Circle up, circle up, everyone!” he called out every few minutes. As the students should be well aware by now, since it was November, they meditated before starting every lesson.
Four different types of trees were huddled in the back of the greenhouse, but they were young, and most had little to no leaves budding. This was not a lesson that some would find interesting, but Paul thought it would be fun nonetheless! Granted, anything to do with plants was fun to Paul. There was also a few tools in the front on the table Paul was sitting on...just in case students couldn’t handle the magic today...however, one of the things they would be doing would REQUIRE magic so...hmm. He hoped this wouldn’t be an issue.
There was a basket of flowers on the table, too, for people to give to others, like he had done last term. And he HOPED they remembered the rule! It was such a lovely one, after all.
“Start clearing your mind noooooooow!” he smiled giddily and waved his wand in a leisurely way, making bubbles come out of the end of it...right into the faces of the students as they walked in.
Who didn’t like bubbles?
OOC: Hi, guys, welcome to class (whooh!). Just a couple things to keep in mind. This is not the first Herbology lesson of term, all right? It’s like..late November IC right now. And yes, Paul starts all of his lessons with meditations. <3 Secondly, the flower rule is still in play. If you are not familiar with it:
*There is a basket of flowers Paul keeps in the front; feel free to have your character come up at any time to grab one, and give it to another student if someone particularly touches them emotionally or anything.
Familiarize yourself with not only our rules but also SS site rules, all of which apply.
I will not be moving on for another 18 or so hours!

Brooklyn’s eyes narrowed a bit as Professor Myers had called them all his little students. It just annoyed her a little, but the fact it had been combined with the announcement that they were nearly done kept her from saying anything. Nearly done meant class was almost over, and they hadn’t really had to deal with much dirt of even worse, manure. That by itself made her happy, along with the fact they no longer had to do anything that risked her losing a finger. Obviously there had been injuries already, but thankfully not hers. She was completely intact, with her rootstock and scion ready and waiting for those steps to be announced.
The actual instructions seemed easy enough. Fit the two pieces together, like she’d guessed from the start, and then tape them together. Then a spell. She wasn’t afraid of any of that, and she picked up her mahogany scion and fit it carefully against the cut end of her rootstock, lining the tongues up and wrapping a hand around the meeting point until a roll of tape was dropped in front of her. Leaving her tree alone for a few seconds, she pulled a piece of tape off the roll and quickly wrapped it around where her hand had been. Now there wasn’t any risk of the two pieces slipping apart, and she could focus on the spell.
A flick was simple. No practice was needed for that, but she repeated the incantation a few times under her breath as she’d set the roll of tape down and picked up her wand. “Jungo Arborem!,” she finally said aloud, flicking her wand toward her tree. She wasn’t about to poke at the tree trunk to see if it was grafted. She was just going to assume it had been, as she turned to wait to find out if the questions people had asked would be answered.

Carl squinted at the picture on the blackboard and listened to the next set of instructions. He pushed his rootstock to the side and grabbed the mahogany tree. His full attention was on Professor Myers's demonstration and this handy-dandy diagrams. Sooo basically, they were pretty much the same steps as the previous ones, but with the scion!
He took his wand once more and pointed it diagonally at the top of the mahogany. Oh, but it had to be the opposite way as the rootstock, right? He changed his direction immediately and when he was fully prepared, said, "Diffindo!" The plant divided into two. He further imitated the Professor by placing the top of his scion to the bottom of his other tree - and they fit, like two puzzle pieces! He grinned before moving on to the next step.
Naturally, Carl chose to work with his grafting knife again to make the tongue. Just put the blade here and ... cut straight back! He had not touched any of the small branches growing on top either. Now, were they going to put the trees together?
Post 4 (Securing Trees Together & Question - Steps 5 & 6)
~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~
Oh. Well there it was. In the magic of......tape.
Amur's nose scrunched a little bit as she eyed the tape roll that floated to her desk and sort of just bobbed in the air. It was a neat little trick, the floating of the tape roll. One that she would have to remember to ask about. Something about levitation and wingardium.
But, for the moment that wasn't the topic. The topic was the annoying thing that kept moving up and down in front of her as she listened to the Professor give the rest of the instructions. It eased her skepticism some, but not entirely. So there was a spell. A spell that would merge the two trees instantly.
Idly, as she plucked the tape roll out of the air, Amur wondered if one could use the spell to merge say...a stone and a brick. Or a human and a ---- no. No that would required grafting and that was.......
She might have blanched a bit at the thought.
With new determination to get her mind off that train of thought, Amur unfurled the tape and gently wrapped it around the break where the two trees connected. Not too tight, not too loose. Just right. Almost like a band-aid. Putting the tape roll to the side, she wondered if it served a similar purpose. Magic would help, but this would ensure the healing?
Pulling her wand out, Amur muttered the incantation a few times. "Jun. Go. Arb. Or. Eum. June. Go. Arb. Orem. Jungo. Arborem."
....No chance that a miss-thrown spell would do any damage. Right? Riiiggghhht?
Just in case, and not particularly wanting to merge a David with a Zeke or some such strange thing, Amur turned herself and her plants away from everyone else. At least this way if she missed, it might just put a desk and chair together. No harm there. The school could make use of chair-desks anyways.
Taking a deep, steadying breath, Amur eyed the bandaged tree and with a careful flick of her wrist cast the incantation. "Jungo Arborem."
Silence. Stillness. Nothing.
No sparks. No beam of light. No chorus of 'aaahhhh'.
Amur's nose crinkled more. She tried it again, and then for a third time. Each time, nothing. It looked exactly the same as it had before. She rubbed at her nose, turning back to Myers and holding up her hand.
"How are we supposed to know when it's worked?" Or if. It seemed a safe assumption that the tape couldn't come off.

Since she'd made her first cut, Dot had been constantly measuring and refitting her rootstock and scion against each other, and she was full of confidence that the two trees would combine seamlessly now. It helped to pay attention and not hope for the best at the end. Especially when you were generally rubbish at a subject.
The two angled stems fit together like they were one tree, although the rootstock was just the slightest bit thicker than the scion and left a little ring!gap of wood around the edge. Dot was quick to wrap the tape extra thick around that part, just in case it mattered.
And now the new spell! "Jungo Arborem." Dot glanced up at Dima's question, because that was hers as well. How could they tell it worked?

Well you cant have exuberance without the eagerness eh? And this curly top certainly isnt lacking in both.
Tenacius immediately took some tape for Frank N. Stein -- yes he just named his plant -- and just as the Professor was demoing it, he taped his stems up, mirroring how the Herbologist was doing it. Real time play by play worked well for Tenacius, that’s just how he rolls.
The spell casting took him some time though. For some reason he had trouble saying spells and doing the proper wand action when he hasn’t done it before. But yeah mimic Professor Plantman and he cant go wrong eh?
"June-go Ar-boh-rem" flick the wrist "June-go Ar-boh-rem" flickity flickity flick.
"Jungo Arborem!" flick!-- And bish bash bosh sorted! Stem unified to an almost seamless bind.
"Grafticons transform!" he stated proudly like a proud Transformer papa.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
After he was done wrapping his hybrid tree, he got his wand, flicked his wrist and said the incantation, “Jungo Arborem!” Blink. Erm...so did he do the spell correctly? Jace immediately raised his hand as soon as another series of questions popped inside his head. “Professor Myers? What’s the use of the Jungo Arborem spell? Is it to speed up the binding process of the trees...or is it to...fuse the natural elements of the scion and rootstock?” Important question number one! “Also...” Jace’s voice faded as he watched the man approach Azura. While wondering what happened to his friend, the Ravenclaw continued with his question. “Do you have a list of rootstocks and scions that are compatible to each other? How do we know it’s compatible?” he asked looking over Azura and Professor Myers. Merlin, she did hurt herself again, didn’t she?
Paul thought Jace’s questions were very good ones! "The spell, which literally means 'I join the trees' will morph the two together. Meld them together--however you want to word it!"
He nodded. “I do have a list--somewhere--but typically...there are always exceptions, but MOST rootstocks will pair with any scion and vice versa…” he nodded. “But there are...lists of the stastically compatible pairings...I have some in my office.” He was always welcome to come take a look!
“Well..if the tree survives--which honestly, if you take extra care of it, it SHOULD--it means the grafting has successfully been done!”

Healing spells were not his forte, and he would not mess up this child’s arm! So he pulled out some white bandages and quickly wrapped it around her cut. “Are you okay? Does it hurt?” he asked softly.
He smiled at Rachel. “Thanks for the offer, you sweet child, but I think we have this handled!” What a nice gesture!

AH, and more questions. RIGHT RIGHT! He grinned.
“Everyone--once you have DONE your spell--take the tape off to make sure the spell worked correctly. As I explained to Jace, the spell is to fuse the trees together into one!” he nodded. “Once you unwrap your tree, just label it and leave it on your spot. Actually--leave all of the tree parts in your spots, too. I will take care of those--maybe I’ll try to graft them together and see if they take,” he shrugged.
“One LAST question--which I KNOW has crossed the minds of some of you--do you think this form of Herbology, this grafting, is okay? Why or why not?” hehehe. He smirked.

Bella picked up the grafting tape after it was magically placed in front of her. Since all that was left was putting the tree back together, she didn't think she would need her gloves anymore so she slipped them off and set them to aside. First she took a piece of tape and stuck the tip to the side of her desk that way she didn't have to struggle getting a piece after putting the tree together. She then took both pieces and carefully fitted them together and taped them firmly.
She stopped there to take look at her finished product, before she moved on. It looked great and she really hoped that it would grow nicely over the next few months. There was only one step left and that was using a charm to actually morph the two pieces together.
“Jungo Arborem!” Bella said, after pulling out her wand. Wait, she forgot to the flick of the wrist motion, so she did it once more just in case the spell didn’t work. “Jungo Ardorem!” She was getting a lot better at doing different spells, but there was still a few that she struggled with. She hoped this wouldn’t be one of them.

Unwrapping it was. Dima thanked Paul and went about taking the grafting tape off. Sure enough, his spell had worked, as the trees were joined into one where his cuts had been a moment prior. He ran his fingers over the junction a few times just to make sure before labeling and leaving his tree to be.
As for his question... the sixth year put his hand up. "You mean morally, sir? I think it's all right, since it's for the creation of a new thing that could potentially benefit the environment more like we discussed before. Also, plants don't have central nervous systems, so it's not like we're hurting them or causing them pain by cutting 'em." As a vegan, he was well aware of the plant-harming debate points and had actually gotten into it with Culloden while the old professor had still been at school. Dima wasn't at all shy about answering that.
Could they gooo now?

Jace’s eyes widened as soon as the professor spoke. He quickly took his parchment and muggle pencil and started to jot down more important notes and clarifications. If he’d studied basic Latin in his old muggle school, then most probably figuring out the spell won’t be so hard.
Jace paused, and grinned at the professor. Of course, most of the trees will adapt to each other, “A tree is a tree after all.” He said, feeling a bit embarrassed. Apparently, his mind isn’t that fast to think of a basic and logical reason for his second question. He wondered though, about those that simply can’t co-exist with each other. Why do some pairings don’t work? While battling with himself, whether or not to raise that question, Jace caught Azura’s reassuring grin, and in return gave her a thumbs up. It’s just a cut, isn’t it? She’ll survive. “I’d love to see the list professor.” He said turning his attention back to the man.
And now, moment of truth?
Jace carefully, and slowly took the grafting tape off of his tree, and was relieved to see that both parts are actually fused together. The Ravenclaw gently poked the joint to make sure that it will hold up. Once done with his little test, Jace got a piece of parchment, and hung the tag around the grafted tree.

After he was done labelling his tree, Jace started to pack up his things while pondering on Professor Myers’ question. It isn’t a trick question, is it? Jace saw the smirk on his face, and considered the expression. Okay, so, grafting. Is it good or not? The Ravenclaw tended to lean towards the positive side. “Professor?” Jace raised his hand to answer. “I think grafting is a good technique, especially when one is trying to find a...uhm...better purpose for the trees? It’s like...getting the good qualities of one tree, and combining it to another to make a super tree...like the ones we made today.” Nod nod. “But I do believe it has its limitations too. If it isn’t necessary to graft a tree and keep it untouched, then I think it’s a good idea too to keep things balanced.” It’s always about balance, you know?

Yay, they were about to be done! Carl guessed that that was good news, though he did not want this lesson to end. It was really fun! He wanted to graft more trees. But first, he had to finish the work he had begun on his honey locust and mahogany.
He listened to Professor Myers's instructions and took a roll of grafting tape when the bucket reached his desk. These steps seemed simple enough, perhaps even easier than the previous ones. He just had to master the new spell and make sure the tape did not fall off the cut. Stacking his trees together with the flaps fitting well, he cut out a long piece of tape and wrapped it around the cut multiple times. Yep, it was quite firm.
"June ... go ... Arborem." Carl muttered to himself, setting down his grafting tape. "Jungo Arborem, Jungo Arborem, Jungo Arborem." He continued while unsticking small bits of tape from his fingers (how did they get there, anyway?). When he was done, he picked up his wand and pointed it at the tree. Focus, now ... "Jungo Arborem!" He said clearly with a flick of his wrist. Aaand yes! He had a grafted tree!

And with that, he went to the front of the room once more. They were so CLOSE to being done. Only two more steps. “We’re about to be done, my little students!” Paul smiled. “So--” he waved his wand and the bucket on his desk began to float, row by row, along the front of each row, rolls of grafting tape leaping out of the bucket and in front of each student. “As some of you noticed--the tongues should fit together--but that is NOT enough so--there is a spell we’re going to learn...and take note, in muggle grafting, we would tape together the trees...and leave them to grow on their own for a few months. With the use of magic...we can morph the trees together instantly! It’s great!” He smiled.
“So...fit your trees together if you have not done so already along the cuts and make sure the tongue fit together! After doing that, wrap around the cut part with your tape, firmly, too.” He paused to make sure everyone had followed.
“After you wrap your tree...the spell we’re going to learn today is...Jungo Arborem!” He wrote it, himself this time, across the blackboard. “Ju as in June...go….Arborem! Jungo Arborem! The wand movement is simple...just a flick of your wrist!” he smiled. It was a simple spell. “And if you successfully do the spell..you will have a grafted baby tree! Now...the particles and molecules and everything might not take correctly...and this is why we do have to continue to watch them closely as they grow. Now...let’s finish this up, everyone!” he smiled and began to wrap tape around his own tree...and was about to do the spell when...he noticed Azura..and heard her call for him.

Ah, so they DID have to use grafting tape. Good to know! David had great herbological instincts. He smiled at the professor's suggestion to be patient and waited for the tape to come to him... come on, boy... there... THERE it was.
Davie wrapped his tree up nice and tight and then got his wand ready. He did a few practice swish and flicks, and made sure to say the spell out loud for practice before casting anything. He had to learn from his mistake on the CoMC professor's door, see. When he was ready, the second year flicked his wand at his tree.
"Jungo Arborem!"

So she wasn't official done yet. Oopsie.
Hadleigh looked at her little baby tree and quietly removed the grafting tape from around it's trunk. Her spell work clearly took for there was no marking or anything to show that this had been to separate trees, well other then the fact that she herself knew this.
With a pleased grin she took out a small pit of parchment so she could label her work.

Putting her notes and quill into her bag she turned to Professor Myers to answer his question. "I think it's alright Sir. I mean we're not truly harming the trees and we're creating another kind. One that's possibly stronger and potentially more useful then the original." Not that the tree itself had been useless before but now it would be more helpful, yes? Shrug.

And the last question. Hffft... Could they just leave already? "Well, I don't see why this grafting is wrong. I mean, we did this to get a plant who has both anti-pollutant effect and can give the nitrogen to the soil." The young lioness gave an opinion. Alright, and now just say that the class is dismissed already, Professor! She was hungry and her stomach had screamed for food now.

Thank goodness for Professor Myers! Rachel breathed in relief as he summoned a first aid kit. Azura would be taken care of in no time so she smiled slightly and nodded. “It’s alright, Azura. Things like these happen.’’ Her poor friend was so clumsy that she was always getting injured but it wasn’t as though Azura could help it.

Back at her desk, Rachel removed the tape and couldn’t help but admire her newly created plant. Really, this was so lovely since her spell had worked. She looked up again when she heard Professor Myers asking them another question, just as she was putting the extra plant parts in the pot. What an interesting one too. The Eagle raised her hand after quickly preparing an answer mentally. “I think grafting is perfect for plants. There are many advantages of it inclusive of better disease resistance and better tolerance of any changes in the environment.’’ How can anyone speak against grafting? She went back to complete adding the plant parts to the pot then to label it:

And just like that, his joy at this Herbology lesson had been shot to hell.
Blaise looked down at his halves of trees, the ones he'd so diligently cut for them to fit. A couple months didn't sound so long. Why did they need to have it done instantly? That was the problem with kids in this day and age, always wanting everything done immediately. No patience whatsoever. Then you had him who would have waited a year if it meant not needing to use his wand.
The boy's face fell into a sullen sort of expression as he pieced the two halves together. They fit perfectly as he knew they would. That was what his hard work had gotten him but now his hard work would only get him so far.
The tape fixed the them together neatly and for a moment he just stared. What was so wrong with leaving it like this? Didn't the Professor say it would fuse on its own anyway?
Why did there REALLY need to be magical interference into something so...so...natural?
Finally, when he did speak, it wasn't to utter the incantation but rather a defeated mutter of, "I can't do it."--And not just because his wand was back up in his dorm, though that DID play a part in it too.
But maybe it didn't matter. He was done. His trees would become one in a couple months anyway...yeah?

Mentally crossing her fingers in the hope that her spell had worked, Esme began to slowly unravel the tape. So long as she didn't accidentally remove some of the bark with the tape, everything should turn out perfectly.
It was only when she had removed the last bit that she realized that she had been holding her breath for the entire time.
"I knew that everything would go well," she said as she gave the tree another affectionate pat. Esme would have felt terrible if she had made a mess of things and botched the grafting job because then she didn't know how the poor thing would feel not being completely whole. As it was everything was peeeerfect.
Raising her hand at the Professors question, she gave her two cents on the matter - which seemed to be in line with what her fellow classmates thought. "I don't see anything wrong with grafting so long as it doesn't hurt the plants involved. If it works out and the earth benefits from it, I say why not." Yeeeeep.
That out of the way, she set about labeling her tree:

Azura nodded at Professor Meyers as he spoke and fixed her hand. "I can do the rest of it, Thank you Sir." She said with a warm smile, as she moved off towards her desk, still shaking her hand a bit, it stung that was for sure! And she hoped she would be able to finish the rest of her project! Though this time, she was going to use her wand for everything, because she didn't want to risk getting injured again!
She gently grabbed her mahogany tree in her non cut hand, and then used her wand in her hurt hand to slice it at a 45 degree angle! "Diffindo." She said softly as she moved her wand and thankfully, the cut was clean and it didn't hurt her hand too much!
Way to go.. hurting her wand hand! She would probably have to go to the healer after this! Again.. What was up with her hurting herself in classes? She bit her lip as she made sure the two pieces fit together before she pulled the Mahogany back and then carefully aimed her wand at it to make the next tongue. "Diffindo." She whispered softly and then smiled happily as it made a perfect cut! Goodness, she should have just used her wand last time and saved herself all of this trouble!!
Now that the two pieces were cut, Azura looked up at the board to see what was next! Right..
She had already made sure everything fit well together, so she slowly placed her two pieces together and then wrapped the tape around the tree. Okay.. She looked at it for a moment before taking her want and pointing it at her little tree.. "Jungo Arborem!" She called out with a flick of her wrist and she looked down at her tree.. did it work?
She slowly unwound the tape and smile! It worked!!! Now for the final steps!!

There!
She sat down at her desk and winced a little as she saw blood seeping under her bandage! All of her movements had made it start bleeding again, but at least she had finished!!
She pressed on her hand as she raised her other one answered the Professor's final question.
"I think this type of grafting is perfectly okay, if it helps out the environment and nature, I say we should do more of it really." There! Done..
SPOILER!!: Rachel and Azura
“Noooo, m’dear, don’t be sorry! It was merely an accident!” he told Azura softly. “Let me go get my kit... I am going to put a little bandage on your cut, Azura, to get it to stop bleeding. You can have the healer check it out later…” he smiled. “No need for alarm, my dear, I am sure! Are you able to finish?” he asked as he summoned the kit from under his desk.
SPOILER!!: Dima and Amur
He smirked.
Madge Unwound the tape from her, hopefully, fused tree... and it seemed to be holding. A small smile danced across her face, then shortly returned to her normal look of heavily-browed concentration. She picked up her quill and scrawled onto the page.

After creating her label she thought about what the professor had asked. What did he mean 'okay'? Like... as in right or wrong? She thought about it momentarily, furrowing her thick ginger brows.
She raised her hand and responded to the question. "I think, professor, that that really depends on the tree's. Perhaps one is the kind that takes over a whole garden and destroys other important plants. Or, well, I guess there are probably dangerous wizarding world plants too..." She said, trailing off, she didn't know much about wizarding world plants. Surely there were some true monstrosities out there.
Madge's pale freckled face took on a light blush, she always felt self-conscious for not growing up with a family of witches and wizards. She felt like a lot of the other students judged her for it, this whole blood-status thing was very new to her.

Take the tape off?
Well there was really no other way to see if the spell had worked she supposed so Olivia did as was directed. She placed her hand back on the trunk beneath the joint and used the other hand to gingerly pull the grafting tape back off the spot. The Ravenclaw let out the breathe she hadn’t even known she had been holding when the top, the mahogany piece, stayed in place and the tree looked whole. The most notable proof of the graft was the different barks on either side of it. For once her magic and wand wasn’t acting up on her.
With that done, she cleaned up her spot and took out a spare piece of parchment. On it, she wrote out her name and information, before settling it at the base of her grafted tree. It seemed she was all set and as such, she turned to the question that had been posed to them to wrap things up. “I don’t think it’s bad,” she remarked in answer. “There is no real harm and things are better in the end.”
How could that be wrong?

Well, she’d wondered how they were going to find out if the grafting had taken. Now Brooklyn knew, and it hadn’t involved poking. Nor had it involved dirt, thankfully, so she’d reached over to start peeling the tape back from around the grafting point on her little tree. Moving slowly just so she wouldn’t end up struggling if the tape stuck to itself, finally the last curl separated from the trunk to reveal a nearly smooth surface. There was still an obvious separation of colors between the two tree trunks, but they were melded together almost seamlessly. At least it proved she could manage a simple spell, not that she’d doubted herself.
Now she just had to label it, as she nudged the other parts from her original two trees closer to the final pot. Taking a pen out, she found a bit of parchment and wrote carefully on it.

Carefully attaching it to her grafted tree’s pot, she sat back and put her things away. As far as she was concerned, she’d already answered the question before, when she’d spoken about making the trees stronger. She wasn’t going to repeat herself, and she certainly wasn’t going to repeat anyone else.

Ariadne had done the spell, so all she had left to do was take the tape off and see if all her hard work had paid off. Hopefully it hadn't all been for nothing. She knew she wouldn't always get EVERYTHING on the first try, but something like this was just a lot of work to get no results at all. She stared at her tape, avoiding the moment where she would just have to reach out and take the tape off. She had to do it at some point, though.
She reached toward the tree and gently began taking the tape off, hoping the top branch didn't just fall to the ground. To her surprise and relief, it didn't! The spell had either worked, or the top of the tree was just deciding to be super nice and not fall off until Ariadne was back in the castle. She was going to believe that it was the first one and that she'd been awesome at this grafting process. She labeled her plant then turned toward the professor.
"Is it okay? Of course it is! It's obvious you care for your plants, and I don't think you'd let us just destroy them all," she answered, raising her hand. He seemed like the kind that was extra cautious when it came to not wasting a single piece off a single tree. Heh, he proved that a second later by saying he'd try and graft their spare parts together. At least it showed he cared! "The only danger I would see is it someone created a dangerous hybrid that we didn't know how to handle, but as long as we're labeling and being careful, that shouldn't happen. As long as we know what we're dealing with and research the two trees, we should be okay. Also, who knows, we could invent some powerful new ingredient for some amazing new potion!"

It seemed like the class would soon be coming to an end. Now it was the moment of truth. Janelle would get to see whether or not her spell had actually worked. Following the professor's instructions, she carefully removed the tape from her plant. Trying not to expect the worst, she watched and waited. Nothing happened. That was good. It appeared that the two pieces were in fact, stuck together. "We did it", Janelle said to her tree.
Unable to supress a smile, Janelle wrote her name down and put it next to her tree.

Professor Myers had one last question for the class and Janelle raised her hand to answer it. "I think this type of grafting is fine........as long as it is used for good. These trees will help the environment, so that's a postitive thing. Grafting some man eating plants, now that might be a problem."

Kaycee jigsawed her trees together. She smiled to herself and checked her handiwork. Hehehe, she made a tree! Pretty much. Practically.
She then tightly wrapped the tree tabs together. She loosened her grip to double check that the tree could support itself. Now the spell. Jungo Arborem. She repeated it to herself several times in her head before getting her wand ready.
With an aim and a flick she cast the spell.
She then undid the tap. Yes. Okay. She gently nudged it to make sure they were actually molded together. Looking good.
As for the grafting question... "Making superhero trees is fine with me." Just saying.
She then went ahead and labeled her work.

Bella was a little nervous when they were instructed to remove the tape. She was hoping that if the spell didn't work it would still have that to hold it together, but now she had to take it off. Please let it had worked. She thought as she carefully removed the tape with one eye closed and the other slightly cracked opened. When the tree didn't tip, tilt, or tumble down she opened both eyes and saw that it was successfully morphed together.

"I think it awesome Professor Myers because it takes the best qualities of two trees and fuse them into one," Bella replied as she labeled her tree. "I say as long as we're helping I see nothing wrong with doing it."

The Ravenclaw tended to lean towards the positive side. “Professor?” Jace raised his hand to answer. “I think grafting is a good technique, especially when one is trying to find a...uhm...better purpose for the trees? It’s like...getting the good qualities of one tree, and combining it to another to make a super tree...like the ones we made today.” Nod nod. “But I do believe it has its limitations too. If it isn’t necessary to graft a tree and keep it untouched, then I think it’s a good idea too to keep things balanced.” It’s always about balance, you know?

Yes, he'd just gotten a marvelous idea based on two of his mum's favorite plants. Heh.

The Eagle raised her hand after quickly preparing an answer mentally. “I think grafting is perfect for plants. There are many advantages of it inclusive of better disease resistance and better tolerance of any changes in the environment.’’ How can anyone speak against grafting? It seemed...a whopping majority of his students agreed that...grafting was not all that morally bad. He chuckled. “There are lots of debates that happen within the community..about whether this should be a solution to problems...since it’s so unnatural,” muggles and wizards alike. “I will not waste our disposed trees, though--and I, personally, think as long as nothing goes to waste…” he shrugged.
Anyways--he eyed Blaise. “Class dismissed! Homework will be posted shortly!” he smiled and gave them all a wave. Wa Azura feeling all right? “Azura, have your hand checked out, thank you! And Mr. Barrington, I would still like to speak with you, yes!”
And now. To deal with Blaise.
SPOILER!!: Blaise

…”Except for you, Mr. Bellaire. You’re not to leave my class until you at least try the spell,” he crossed his arms over his chest. He slipped onto the table to sit next to Blaise’s spot. “Just a try. The spell today isn’t too difficult...but even if you don’t get it…” he made eye contact. “It’s better to try and fail..than to not try at all,” he said softly.
