The Lions sit under a beautiful scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: enjoy the feast!
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Head Boy badge pinned on his Gryffindor robe, he had put a spell on it so that it seemed to glow a tad bit brighter than it normally would. Because being the leader of the school meant he had to stand out right? Right.
Yoongi moved towards his House table, feeling nervous yet excited. He was ready for this year, he was perhaps more ready for his new role than the NEWT’s he has to sit at the end of the year. Oh gosh the studying! He made a mental note to pay extra attention in classes and take extra notes in case he lost them. He didn't have Zander this year to back him up...
Sitting down at the edge of the table , nearest the Entrance Hall door, Yoongi checked his appearance in the reflection of the empty plate in front of him. He styled his silver hair a bit before he moved his hand to take out his wand and pointed it at the goblet. Casting a non-verbal Aguamenti spell, he watched it fill with water and he quickly drank it to sooth his dry mouth and nerves. 'You'll be fine, just fine'
Alice Lupin was a Gryffindor! She couldn't be happier or feel like she fit any place better. She wished there were better colors.. But hey, she had always been proud of her red hair.
She'd write home as soon as she could and tell everyone the moment she could. But for now it was time for her to meet her new house! The redhead plopped down at the table and looked at all the other Gryffindors.. Merlin.. they were so much older.. some of them looked so cool!
Hopefully they would be her friends. She didn't wanna be like dumb old Maxwell and not have any friends.
Every time a newcomer sat down she watched. Her internal monologue was all 'Hello! Be my friend!?'
Hope was a gryffindor!!! She knew she was going to be! That or ravenclaw. Since she had a love for knowledge.
She just couldn't contain her excitement as she walked to the Gryffindor table. As she got nearer she grew nervous. There was ALOT of Gryffindors. She hoped that she made some friends. Or more since She made friends with Arista and Thomas. Noelle is in Gryffindor too.. That thought had Hope almost wanting to cry. She should be here... Not wanting to ruin the first day at Hogwarts, she pushed the feelings to the back of her mind for later. Her smile grew back on her face as she found an empty seat. She wondered where Arista or Thomas was. Knowing them, they would probably be sitting huddled together. The table was so big she had just found a seat quickly so as to not draw attention to her.

It was amazing, how one could lose someone on a train. A train. A confined space with little room to move. Despite his looking, he hadn't found his girlfriend. Instead of finding Maggie, he'd somehow managed to find Tim alone, and a Hag instead. What even were the possibilities of that happening?
Zeke had scanned the people on the platform on arrival, and looked in every carriage that hadn't left when he arrived at the queue, but to no avail. She wasn't there. So all he could do was hope she was in front of him or already at the castle.
Instead of loitering in the Entrance Hall, Zeke's legs carried him into the Great Hall and over to the Gryffindor table, his eyes glued to the Slytherin table opposite the room as he made his way. No blonde. Not his blonde at least.
WHERE was she?! But still the most pressing question on his mind was, WHAT HAPPENED?! WHAT WAS WRONG?! He could hardly do the 'good boyfriend' thing if he didn't know.
Reluctantly taking his seat, Zeke was oblivious to the goings on around him. Someone could have died and he wouldn't have bat an eyelid.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Professor Airey was gonna be mad. He was probably gonna handcuff him to his cousin this time and make them sleep on the roof but that was something the little lion would worry about another time. If the Daily Prophet was right, Professor Moxley was in charge now...if nothing else he would plead with her to let him sleep in her office AWAY from the mad man.
Yes. Perfect plan. Good one Bellaire. Feeling suddenly far more confident than he probably should have, the Second Year marched his way to the Gryffindor table.
He was kinda hoping he'd miss the sorting and get there in time for the food but slipping away wasn't a skill he'd perfected so he was forced inside with everyone else. Great.
SPOILER!!: Yoongi

He was actively scanning the table for a place to sit when he saw Mr. Grand Spanking New Head Boy sipping at his goblet. Lucky. In all truth, his wand could probably do that too. It...might have been the only spell she was actually good at, or rather the only one she was willing to cast when he told her to.
"Hiya Yoongi! You're looking positively clean this evening." For now. Did Head Boys count? He forget to ask Bentley. The little boy reached for the possibly empty goblet and extended it to him. "Will you get me some too? I'm thirsty...from the kitchen....ice tea--you know, I could go for a sandwich. It'd sure be nice if the new Head Boy could save a starving firstie." He said, big, innocent brown eyes meeting him dead on (the joys of having the older boy sitting while he stood).
"Bet my quill would make a great story out of it too." He said, nodding toward the floating notepad and quill that followed closely behind him. "Could save you in the long run." The...er....not so long run...

That one was a new addition to the table. He would know 'cause he was good at remembering faces and she wasn't here last term. Blaise kept the goblet raised toward Yoongi, but turned to face the girl with a grin as if he'd forgotten all about his earlier request of the older boy. "Hi there! Welcome to Gryffindor. You'll like it here a lot." He did, even if he hated Hogwarts and magic and wanted to go home. Walking into the Great Hall...he almost forgot how much he didn't want to be here. Now to see how long he could avoid magic. Who knew, it might very well be a success.
"I'm Blaise by the way. You don't have to pay attention to my quill, it's gonna take down what you say regardless." So she might as well forget the thing floating along next to him--it's what he usually did.

And look, another one not so far off. "You're new too, aren't you?" Much like that one over there...and that--and those two--and Merlin that big one all the way in the back. No way he was a First Year...though after seeing Owen...maybe he really was...
Somehow Blaise managed to pry his eyes away and turn to the girl sitting across the table from where he stood. "Name's Blaise and you are?"
Even as he spoke, his quick quotes quill and notepad floated a tad bit closer to the girl in preparation for her answer.

And hey his class skipping buddy! So they didn't skip often...or even plan to skip together really but the odd occasion he'd run into Zeke out in the corridors when his butt should have been planted on a chair receiving an education had been nice. His mum said he shouldn't but he was hoping it would keep happening.
"Hi Zeke!" DID HE REMEMBER HIM??? Maybe not...not when he was looking so distracted.
"You alright mate?" If not, speak slowly as the quill would like to get it all down.
Just saying.

Spencer couldn't contain his excitement, he was actually a Gryffindor no more hoping that'll he be one, he was actually a official Gryffindor student! With a smile on his face that couldn't be erase no matter how hard you tried, he walked towards the Gryffindor table. There were alot of Gryffindors, which he was glad about, he heard that Gryffindor was one of the friendliest houses there was. Spencer scanned the table and seen a empty seat beside Hope and smiled. "Hey, guess you're stuck with me cause we're in the same house! "said Spencer happily hugging her.
Spencer looked around for Arista and Thomas, but the table was so long and big, he could barely see them among the Gryffindors. Other Gryffindors, he liked the sound of that, he was glad to be part of a house that he truly loved. Not that he wouldn't love the others, but he just liked Gryffindor more then the others, just the cold and what it stood for.

Despite of the strange train ride and the hag on the train, thankfully that she had arrived at the school. Safe and sound. At least that strange, old and smelly hag didn't do something weird, right? Now it's time for the feast and that means food! But first, she had to waited for the sorted people to be finished first, then the headmistress speech and then the food time.
Walking to the house table with her uniform, Ava took a seat and said hello to everybody there. "Welcome to the best house ever, guys!" She said to the newly sorted firsties (Alice. Hope and Spencer) "I'm Ava Burton, second year and I hope you're gonna enjoy being a lion here." Because they're THE BEST HOUSE EVER! Sorry Hufflepuf, Ravenclaw and Slytherin!
Her eyes spotted on Yoongi with a badge? Was he a prefect? Wait, no. He's not a prefect. He's a HEAD BOY! Ava couldn't help but surprised to see him as a Head Boy. She liked Zander as a Head Boy, but him? Meh, dunno. "Head Boy, huh?" The young lioness asked to the flower boy. She just still couldn't believe it! "Well uh... Congratulations and... Good luck." Yeah, good luck seemed a little bit more appropriate respond... For now.
Ava spotted Zeke and Blaise too! "Hey guys!" She gave a hello and waved at them. Now let's look at the staff roster. Well, she heard that Moxley had stepped up being the headmistress.... Wonder what'd happened with Grandpa Botros now. And then there's no Ancient Runes and Divination Professor too... Well, she didn't really care about those two subjects. She recognized the man in old Culloden's seat... Yeah, Ava and her twin brother shared a compartment with that old man with the rat. The transfiguration professor seemed cool though. Oh, they had Care of Magical Creatures and History of Magic Professor this term! And most importantly, Defense Against the Dark Arts... Maybe she should come to the new Professor's office and asking him about dueling club?
Hold on, the Charms Professor was a new guy too?

He was still lost in his own little world with his mind racing at light-speed when a familiar voice reached his ears...... then again, there were many voices at the Gryffindor table that he could call familiar.
"Huh?" he voiced, blinking himself back to reality and finding Blaise there. "Oh... hey bud."
Yep. Hi. "What's up?"
But now that he was more aware of his surroundings, his gaze trailed over the Slytherin table again, but still no Maggie. The knot in his stomach was returning now. In addition to the goings-on around him, he realised that a couple of sortees had joined them (Alice, Hope, Spencer), they got a smile and a nod by way of WELCOME TO GRYFFINDORing.
"Hey," he replied almost on autopilot as Ava arrived. Heh, Little Burton. He would have to find time to antagonise her later. Perhaps though, when Yoongi wasn't present, unless he wanted in on it?

It was finally dawning upon him...
He was a third year. The BIG 3-R-D. That, and he probably could do with one or two more friends, but that was beside the point. Were third years still technically called underclassmen? Was he a bigclassman now? Class. Classy. He had to be classy.
Starting now.
Classy-ily taking his place at the Gryffindor table, he beamed at everyone. Suave, totally. Or, no. SMILED at everyone. Classy people didn't beam, unlike Star Trek folks from what he'd read. Beam up the fooooooood, scotty! He had robe pockets to fill with mashed potatoes and gravy.
That's a very interesting train ride and she's glad its over. No need to share the same compartment again with Nicolei. She just need to make sure not to cross path with the Hufflepuff when she do prefect' job. That should be easy, right? At least the carriage ride to school was a peaceful one.
With her prefect badge pinned on her robe, Candice walked towards her house table. Well, lets see who made it to the Gryffindor this term. She hoped they got a bunch of sane first year this term. No crazy firstie please!
When she arrived at her table some of her people already there, even Yoongi was there already. How did he arrived so fast? "You okay there, Head Boy?" She gave him a 'Hello' nod before she sat down across him. Prefect stick together, no? Speaking of Prefect where's the other Gryffindor Prefect?
After she sat down she noticed that Zeke was looking like a lost puppy. "Did you lost something, Zeke?" Oh. Blaise and Ava were already here too? "Hello guys." A 'Hello' nod for them as well. Then she noticed a couple of new faces. "Welcome to Gryffindor." She greeted the newly sorted first year (Hope, Alice and Spencer). Well they look like they're a very normal firstie. No shouting and such so that's a good news. Hopefully it'd stay this way. Fingers cross.
Candice glanced at the staff table. So many new Professors. Look at that new DADA Professor and the HOM Professor too. Ohlalalala~! This is going to be a very interesting term. Not to mention she now has a new motivation to come to every HOM classes.

So, this was it. This was the big return. The big deal. The big dinner. The first of many firsts to come this year in Hogwarts. A grand adventure. A sight to be seen. A story to be told, and perhaps most importantly, a memory to make.
That, was all very well and fine with Amur, as long as she remembered not to try and eat one of the cookies she had stuffed up her sleeve from the train. It was tradition and all, but she liked the house elves and didn't want to antagonize them this time around. That, and there would be no Zander to save her.
It was that thought alone that had her mood dip a bit into the sour punch. A sour which intensified when she neared the table and saw Hyland wearing ZANDER's badge. Wasn't that she didn't like the kid or anything, just that the badge belonged on someone else. Someone that was gone and graduated. Someone that didn't look nearly the same as the blonde-haired kid. The realization struck her harder than she expected, and with a quick step and a bit of an unintentional cold shoulder-esque movement, she skittered by the new Head Boy. A mumbled "Congratulations" did slip out. It was both the least and the most she could do.
Thankfully, blessed relief came to her with the sight of Zeke and an empty spot beside him. Without further ado or question, Amur made a b-line straight for her friend. If someone stole that seat, she was fully prepared to fight them for it. Thankfully, her legs had grown and she got there in double time, though getting them over the bench and under the table was a might bit more challenging. When had the table gotten lower?
A grin was working it's way onto her lips as she side-elbowed her friend and leaned over the table and looked down it's length. It was almost to say look at the newbies or which one should we adopt. Still, each of them got a small smile and nod of her head. Ava and Blaise got a little smile AND a wave. They were lucky, only cause she recognized them.
But everything went on hold, from thoughts of food to greetings, as Amur heard the dark cloud that was beside her. Her gaze skittered directly to Zeke and she blinked. "Do you have lizards in your socks?"

Gryffindor is one of the four Houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry. And Jessie still can't believed that she joined them.
Her Mum was wrong. She said that Jeslyn will sorted into Slytherin like her mum.
Jessie look around her table. All student wear same robe like hers. With red tie and lion badge. That was so cool! Some of them seemed wear prefect badge. She want to be a prefect in her future.
And she was very happy!
And she need to make a friends again. Jessie decided to take a seat beside another gryffindor girl. She hoped that girl wouldn't be mad.
Seemed like the girls was new students too. Her robes still new. When that girl looked at her, Jessie can't hold her nervous smile.

Weird kid be weird... Zeke was distracted by the sight of a beamy!smiley Lion ManCub (Lancelot). His lips twitched a little at the corners but he wasn't able to manage a smile in return. Kid got a bro-nod though, cause... hey yo!
Zeke felt a little skittish, his stomach was squeamish and he was finding it incredibly difficult to sit still, his leg bouncing a little to a beat only he could hear - one that was FAST and almost aggressive in nature.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to tune out his peers though, and so Candice's question pulled him from his thoughts and his silent searching once again. Lost something? "Not quite... I lost someone," he replied with an expression that appeared pained. Seriously, why were girls so much work? Candice, WHY?! But on another note, "Congrats by the way... the badge suits you."
One girl that wasn't work though, or at least... no... no she wasn't work, she was all fun and games--- Zeke tilted his head to the side, fixing Amur with a casual stare as she nudged him. He nudged her back. "Lizards? No... maybe dragon's though..." he was funny, right? All sorts of hilarious right now.
This was weird. Zeke was being weird. Not because of his something-sorta-joke, but because that look. She wasn't used to it, and frankly, it didn't suit him. For a reason unknown to her, it made her nervous and sad and angry all at the same time. Why did he look like someone had run over a puppy? WHY?
The tone of his reply was what did it though. Amur's smile twisted down. "Dragons, huh? They must be eating them then." Cause this mood, what other reason could there be for it?
Perturbed, Amur turned her attention to the cutlery, fiddling with each one before selecting the least likely that she would use. The spoon. With her free hand, she drew out her wand and with a quick flick and incantation, transfigured the silverware into a tiny, sleek dragon who's silver scales shone in the candlelight.
A sidelong glance was spared to her friend. Did he want to tell her what was going on, or did he want her to provide him with a reason for the weird mood? Seriously, she could arrange dragons eating socks.

As it just so happened, Ava was the type of person Blaise was hoping to sit close enough to. If there was anyone that would need very little convincing it was her, so Blaise gave a wide, dimpled grin, genuinely happy to see her. "Hey Ava!" Boy, at this rate Bentley was gonna make him do all the recruiting, wasn't he?
The 12 year old leaned across, both to get further from Yoongi and to get a little closer to her.
"Wanna do somethin' fun before the night's up?"

Finally he snapped out of it. For a second, Blaise thought he was gonna have to take further measures. "You waiting for something to happen at the Slytherin table?"
Pause. Blaise looked between Zeke and Amur, not sure how seriously he was meant to be taking the conversation.
"Do you really have dragons in your shoes? Did you magic them small? Can we use 'em later?" He was sure they could make it work. "Do YOU wanna do something later?" The young Gryffindor's gaze stayed transfixed on boy, both amazed by the fact he could fit dragons in his socks and the potential Zeke now represented.
He leaned a little further over the table to get a look at the foot and Amur. "Do you wanna do something fun later too?"

And wasn't that just a friendly looking Lance. Invitation? Why YES, it DID look like a good enough invitation to talk to him and so his quill and notepad floated just a little closer to the boy that was only in the year above him.
Blaise smiled back (because Lance was smiling at him too RIGHT?).
"You look like you wanna do something hilarious later." Even if he didn't.

Uuuuuuhhhhhhh why was Candice sitting right there?
Blaise didn't not like her, she was nice--or well she'd never not been nice to him which meant he was somewhat on the fence about pelting her with food once it arrived. Huh. The way he saw it, he could sit there and smile like she'd done and pretend everything was fine then go along with the plan later ooorrrrrr.....
"You shouldn't sit there. It's...uh...got weevles."
The little boy put on his most serious look. "It's not safe and they bite so you should definitely move to the very top or bottom of the table--just to be safe." Before Bentley came and realized he was trying to spare one of them would be nice.

Other Gryffindors, he liked the sound of that, he was glad to be part of a house that he truly loved. Not that he wouldn't love the others, but he just liked Gryffindor more then the others, just the cold and what it stood for.

Hopefully they would be her friends. She didn't wanna be like dumb old Maxwell and not have any friends.
Every time a newcomer sat down she watched. Her internal monologue was all 'Hello! Be my friend!?'

"Hi, I'm Jessie."
Arista made her wand to the Gryffindor table awaiting for Thomas to join her he had left to go find her brother and she really just wanted to sit down at her table and get some grub but of course all the formalities had to happen before she would actually be able to do that. Oh look the sorting, wonder what her little ones would be? Aka that was Hope and Spencer. She also looked forward to some other Gryffindor First years. And she did take notice that the head boy was a Gryffindor hehe good job you!! She threw the boy a smile and a thumbs up, heck how did someone stay good long enough to get noticed by the professors was news to her. Oh look it was Candice!! "Candice! Hey how are you!!" she threw the girl a smile. Her eyes went down to the badge and a smirk went on her face, "Who in the heck gave you a badge, they are crazy!?" She laughed before sending her a wink.
She gave a squeal when Hope was sorted into Gryffindor and the same for Spencer when he was also revealed to be a Gryffindor. Once the sat down she made her way down over to them and grabbed them both, "Look at my babies all grown up!" She giggled as she let go of them and reached into her bag and pulled out her pen and wrote on her hand to tell Thomas to give her the 10 galleons. She had won their bet after all.
Seeing another first year (Alice) she gave another squeal and said "Welcome to Gryffindor!! I'm Arista!" Not being able to resit she pulled her into a small hug after releasing her she said "Sorry I'm a hugger!" Again her eyes saw another firstie (Jessie) so she once again said "Welcome to Gryffindor! I'm Arista!" This time she resisted her urge all though she wanted to give the girl a welcome hug.

Was he waiting for something to happen? Yes, yes he was, kind of... "Looking for my girlfriend. And you're on lookout too, now... so if you see her, bump me, yeah?" Yeah? Cause he didn't have eyes in the back of his head and his head was not focused enough for such things, clearly.
But between Blaise and Amur - literally, Zeke was rolling his eyes. Dragons in socks, sure kid, sure. "Magic can create and conceal, remember that, kid," he informed and for some strange reason he ruffled the kids hair a little. In the same way Daphne had done to him. But as for doing something later...
....
He exchanged a look between the two, "I'm keen." Keen as beans. Becasue despite it being only the first night back, it was NEVER too early to get the party started, and with Frankie as Prefect, stirring up trouble sounded awfully tempting. So tempting.
But regarding his socks, "Who needs socks anyway?" he questioned Amur, a brow raised.
So, he wasn't going to tell her, but it seemed that perhaps she hadn't asked the right questions. Or really, any question at all. Blaise, on the other hand, had it down to a pat. Or it was a bro-thing. It could have been that. Maybe she needed to remind Zeke she could compete at that level, spit promises and all.
Those thoughts, however, were sidelined for later as Zeke gave some hint as to his strange mood. Girlfriend. Maggie. Right. Which reminded her, when the girl did rear her head, she had to congratulate the both of them on a near-year anniversary. Because that was something right? Especially at this age. As much as she teased Zeke about it, it was impressive and they deserved acknowledgement for it. So, even though she wasn't asked, she decided she was on Maggie-watch with Blaise.
To that end, however, it WOULD have been helpful if Blaise wasn't utterly distracting. The kid's pure and geninue curiosity made her grin broadly. She liked this guy and his floating quill and notebook. He DID ask good questions. Zeke, however, didn't know how to answer them.
Scooting back over to her friend, Amur leaned towards Blaise, her eyes sparkling. "No dragons in socks yet." Just her spoon-reptile that was nudging the other silverware as if asking why they weren't dragons too. "And I can teach you how to make them, if you like. As big, or as small, as you like. And then you can put them in your own socks, though can't imagine that would be very comfortable for either of you."
Did that answer his question as to whether Amur Neverwinter was up for something fun? Just in case he missed the memo, she nodded vigorously. "Always."
As for Zeke, well, he was apparently a bit off on asking questions too. While it was a joke, and for all intents and purposes Amur recognized it as such, his tone was STILL rubbing her the wrong way.
She returned his raised brow with one of her own. "House elves."

Well the day hadn't actually gone to plan. Right at the last minute, her parents had decided that she wouldn't be going to Beaubaxtons but instead she would come to Hogwarts like her father and uncle had before her.
That was fine by Trixie, she didn't care where she went to school so long as she got to go somewhere and meet NEW people. Unfortunately she hadn't got to go on the Hogwarts Express because of the late change but that was okay, she was HERE now!!
And even better than that, was that she had been placed in Gryffindor just like her dad. So that was cool. She made her way over to the table that housed her fellow house mates and stopped at the very end and looked down the long table and surveyed the students that were already there.
There were a couple of older students that had nice shiny badges pinned to their robes. So that was her Prefects. Good to know.
Once she got her fill of staring at everyone, Trixie beamed widely and then skipped down the aisle and found herself a spot about halfway down the table. "Hello everyone." Should she just blurt out her name? Or wait to be asked? Hmm, it was a dilemma. What was the right etiquette here? It was times like these that she wished she had of listened to her mother when she spoke of such things.

There's something bothering this fifth year guy. It's like he wasn't in a mood for the feast or maybe he got a toothache? Dunno. Boys' thought sometimes was sooo confusing. But then the young lioness noticed that Zeke was eyeing the Slytherin table. Ah... He was looking for his girlfriend, huh? Nod nod.. "Did you have a fight with your girlfriend?" What was her name again? Maddie? Maggie?

Candice glanced at the staff table. So many new Professors. Look at that new DADA Professor and the HOM Professor too. Ohlalalala~! This is going to be a very interesting term. Not to mention she now has a new motivation to come to every HOM classes.
She heard a familiar voice coming up. "Oh, Hi Candice!" Ava said hello to that girl. Wait... She did spot something on her... "OH MY GOSH!! YOU ARE A PREFECT!!!" Ava couldn't help but beamed. "Congratulations, girl! You're gonna be a very cool prefect." Hehehe... Candice and Henric are both prefect and somehow this was amusing, at least for her. So their prefects this term were her and Yoongi? Well, at least she knew Candice pretty well, and deep down she just couldn't believe that Yoongi was the Head Boy, replacing Zander Adair. Wait, no one could replace Zander at least from her heart. It's not that Ava dislike Yoongi, buuuuut.... It's just... Well, unexpected. and unacceptable! Maybe now he's gonna stop insulting by calling her Tall Ava (in sarcastic tone) since he HAD to show good manners around the students?
She noticed that the Prefect also kept an eye on the staffs table. "Such an interesting staff roster this term, right?" She asked. There were only FOUR females there. Four, including the headmistress. She still missed Culloden and Dakest and Professor B but.. Hopefully the classes with the new professors would be interesting.

"Hey." Ava smiled at that girl... Who was her name again? Gah, sometimes it's difficult to remember people's name. Her mind wasn't as sharp as her twin brother. And a smile too the third year guy Lance too.

Oh look, another new person come to Gryffindor table! "Hey there, Jessie!" Ava smiled at the firstie. "Welcome to Gryffindor. I'm Ava, second year." Woah, mentioning that she was a second year now feels like she was very mature and adult-y and capable for adult stuffs! Hehehe....

Boy, at this rate Bentley was gonna make him do all the recruiting, wasn't he?
The 12 year old leaned across, both to get further from Yoongi and to get a little closer to her.
"Wanna do somethin' fun before the night's up?"
Back to her fellow second year mate, Blaise. Her ears perked up when he mentioned about doing something interesting. Ooooh!!! Count her in!! She liked doing fun things! "Yes!!" She said. Usually there's a fine line between 'doing something fun' and 'causing trouble' but... Who cares? "Is this like a super secret only cool kids are allowed or what?" Yes, Bellaire. She was curious.

Trixie decided to just wait.
Oh look! There's another firstie that joined them to the red side! Hehehe... "Welcome to Gryffindor." Ava smiled at that girl. Yeah, she's not gonna call her kiddo or something like that. Even herself didn't like being called kiddo or little... That's insulting.

Maggie had had a rather peculiar train ride. After she'd switched compartments that is. This Daxton kid was definitely something. The first part of the train ride had been...something else. Something that she kind of regretted or at least felt like she could have handled better. She'd definitely shown some weakness in front of Paige. AND she'd upset Zeke.
So yeah, definitely not one of her best moments.
Lingering by the entrance door to the great hall for a few seconds, Maggie looked around and considered her options. The easiest and most appealing was going to her own house table and sit with Hady. Like they'd said, why would she want to sit anywhere BUT the Slytherin House Table. It was the best after all.
As it were though, Maggie hesitated....and then made her way over to the Gryffindor House Table instead. Walking with purpose she didn't stop until she was standing behind Zeke. Then before she could change her mind, she sat down next to him on his other. She should say something, only what? "Hey." Not touching anything, neither him nor the table settings, she just looked at him.
Trying to look like she belonged here while feeling completely out of place was hard.
Oh look! There's another firstie that joined them to the red side! Hehehe... "Welcome to Gryffindor." Ava smiled at that girl. Yeah, she's not gonna call her kiddo or something like that. Even herself didn't like being called kiddo or little... That's insulting.
Someone was talking to her!
SOMEONE WAS TALKING TO HER!!
Trixie had to restrain herself from jumping up and launching across the table to hug the girl that was smiling and welcoming her. She was just so excited to be here and now she had a potential friend.
Taking a few quick breaths, Trixie returned the girl's smile. "Thank you so much." It was obvious that the girl across from her was not new to Hogwarts. "My name is Trixie and I think that Gryffindor is the best house."

If Amur had been giving him looks, he didn't see them, nor did he care. In fact, even dragons didn't matter at the minute, her silver one got a side-eye and that was about all. Rather, Zeke just sat there between them listening in on Amur's offer to teach and comfort levels and... did it matter? It couldn't be that uncomfortable, not if it was small enough.
Ava's brash question though, now that got a considerably different response from him. Brows narrowed in a from he shook his head, "No." No. They were not fighting... or at least, he wasn't fighting her. It took two to tango, no?
Feeling someone slip in beside him, Zeke glanced to see who it was, and the relief he felt was very visible. Maggie. "Hey," he replied before placing an arm around her shoulder. "You 'kay? I came after you, but I couldn't find you..." And he still wasn't able to make any sense of the whole Paige-Thornton-Whatever drama, but after his chat with Timmy he realised it was something he would have to get used to. The not knowing things all the time. Girls were complex.
No matter what way she said that single word about in her head, Amur simply couldn't make sense of it. No WHAT? No house elves didn't need socks? Because that was wrong. SO wrong, and Zeke knew that. She didn't have to tell him, she shouldn't have to tell him.
Amur's mouth pressed into a thin line, and she was about to put her confusion to rather blunt terms, when Maggie appeared. All at once, Amur lost her words and most of her frustration. While it was a bit agitating that Zeke only livened up when Maggie appeared, it was also a relief. Something had been bothering him, and apparently it was girlfriend-boyfriend territory. Which meant, by friend rules, she had to butt out. Congratulations on a nearly-year-strong would simply have to wait.
So, she turned to her dragon and poked a fork towards it, glancing up at Ava's 'hey'. A smile in response, but no words, because while she was technically 'butted out', that didn't mean she didn't want to listen. And no, it wasn't eavsedropping, because if they didn't want anyone to hear whatever it was they were going to say to each other, they shouldn't talk in such a public place.
