Abby shrugged and said "Well to be honest i have got no clues as to why Qudditch is no longer played at Hogwarts but really i think that it is fun that i have got a good career for my future and yeah you do have a long time off before you decide on what to do for your future and yeah i do wish that i could stay at Hogwarts forever as well but sadly that can never happen"

Kitty nodded in agreement. "The only way it could happen would be if we were hired to be on the Hogwarts staff, but that's very unlikely. I love everyone here at Hogwarts and I can't imagine ever leaving. I suppose it wouldn't be so sad if we were still friends and visited each other. Do you have any friends that graduated before you?"

Abby smiled and said "Yeah i know that won't happen and yes we should become really good friends and visit each other after graduation and yes i have several friends that graduated before me i miss them all"

Kitty smiled. This was one of the things she liked most about Hogwarts: everyone was open and relatively polite. She had only just met Abby but already they were becoming friends and promising to write to each other after leaving Hogwarts. "What classes are your favorites?"

Abby smiled at Kitty and said "Charms and Potions are my favourites Kitty, what are your favourite classes?"

"My favorites are History of Magic and Muggle Studies," replied Kitty with a smile. "But I like all of them except Divination." She shuddered as she thought about the Hag.

Abby nodded and said "Yeah i like Divination but i avoiding attending it this year due to the Hag i never did like her much"

Kitty shuddered. "NONE of us like her now. At first I thought she might secretly be nice and I even convinced some of the students that she wouldn't have been hired if she was dangerous. Then she tried to eat us! Seriously, I can't wait until they capture her."

Abby nodded at Kitty and said "Yeah i hope they do capture her because it is obvious that she was dangerous, i just hope they get a better professor for next year because Divination is an important subject to some students"

Kitty nodded. "I agree, all the subjects are important. Maybe Divination is fun when the teacher isn't trying to eat you, I suppose it could be." She decided to switch the subject then. "Did you know that there is a spooky backstory about the Tapestry in the fourth floor?"

Abby looked at Kitty and said "No i have not heard about the story Kitty please tell me what you have heard"

The Tapestry was one of Kitty's all time favorite subjects, and now she had a chance to talk about it.

"Well one day I was reading Hogwarts a History, and three sheets of newsprint fell out of it." Kitty began excitedly before plunging right into it, talking so fast that her words almost ran together. "They were from the school news paper and were about stuff that happened a long time ago. In the newspaper it said that three professor's were injured and had to be carried off to the Hospital Wing because of some 'mysterious force' coming from behind the Tapestry. They were okay, but then later one of the students owls was injured and the Care of Magical Creatures guy was almost killed by a red beam of light when he took his class out to look for Mooncalves! Headmistress Loryen (cool name, right?) said she knew what the attackers wanted, but she couldn't tell anyone!"

Kitty was so excited that she had to stop for breath. Then she continued. "I don't know what happened next or if they ever caught the villains behind it. Hogwarts a History didn't have anything on that term. But isn't it interesting? I checked behind the Tapestry to see if there was a corridor but they had sealed it off."

Abby nodded and said "That is cool i have never heard that story before but it sounds really cool and yeah i would not be surprised if there is nothing behind there, a lot of the secret passages have either been sealed off or have caved in but some have been mysteriously reopened over the past couple of terms"

"I'm trying to discover who was behind the attacks," continued Kitty excitedly. "All year I've been asking people about it but so far haven't really learned anything. I'm surprised by how many adventures students here at Hogwarts have. The Tapestry was from a long time ago and I don't know how it ended, but there have been many more things that happened after that that are recorded. Like one time there was ice cream that made the people who eat it act really funny but then act depressed, but thankfully everyone was cured." She wondered if Abby had ever been in an adventure like that.

Abby shuddered and said "Yeah there have been many incidents over the years i was involved in the one with the acromantulas that overran the school unfortunatly i got bit by them and it is an experience i don't really want to experience again"

Kitty was shocked to hear that Abby had been attacked by the acromantulas. "Wow really? That must have been terrible! No one died though right?"

Abby smiled and said "Thankfully Kitty nobody died in that incident but there have been times that some students have died but it has only happened once while ive been at school here but i dont really want to talk about what happened that occasion"

It was disturbing to learn that students had died in the past few years. She thought about the Hag and wondered with growing alarm if killer professor's and attacking monsters were more the norm than the exception at Hogwarts. But since Abby did not want to talk about it; Kitty changed the subject. "So...do your parents work at the Ministry? My mom just started working there a few weeks ago.

Abby smiled at Kitty and said "Well they don't work at the ministry seeing as both of my parents are muggles so they just work a normal job that muggles do"

Kitty felt embarrassed about forgetting that Abby's parents were muggles. "Oh sorry, I forgot you said they are muggles. By the way, my dad is a muggle."

Abby smiled at Kitty and said "Yeah i know what you it can be hard to remember everything but heck at least you know how having a muggle for a parent is"

Kitty nodded. "Yeah, muggles are pretty cool. My dad used to bring me to the Thrift Store where he works and I would help him package food for a charity. Of course none of them could have suspected that I knew magic, but when I was little I used to tell them all the time - but they didn't believe me. I guess I would get in trouble now if I told them."

Abby nodded and said "Yeah well especially seeing as until we turn 17 we are forbidden to use magic outside of school" Abby could not wait until that day because she felt being restrained from using magic was a bummer

"I never really understood the whole keeping magic secret thing," said Kitty as she thought back to when she used to tell muggles at the Thrift Store that she could do magic. "My dad knows I can do magic and my mom didn't get in trouble for tell him, and your parents know you can do magic. Would it be okay if I had a muggle friend and I told her or him? I don't know." She was confused.

Abby was a bit confused too and said "To be honest i just make sure that i dont tell anybody in the muggle world because our world is supposed to be secret to protect the muggles i mean i understand about our parents, i think you only get into trouble if you use magic in front of a muggle"
