| | |  Gobstones Consolation Match: Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the crisp January chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Mr McLeod and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's consolation match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Ava made her way out onto the court to join Carl for the next roll. The players swung their shooters and kicked their stones forward. The red stone swerved heavily to the right after passing the first 2 obstacles and out off play. The yellow marble surpassed its opponent several more obstacles to claim the points.
"2 points to Hufflepuff! You are finally on the scoreboard, good work badgers!" Leo cheered on. He'd have said the same if the roles were reversed.

Another break passed and Carl and Ava marched out for another roll. After a glance towards Justin, Leo signalled for the players to swing their shooters. The stones were released and the red marble didn't make it up to the first obstacle before it stopped and sprayed a gush of smelly gob right towards the team benches. The yellow marble surpassed its opponent and 6 more obstacles for the point.
"First point of the fourth round goes to Hufflepuff!" Leo announced. He was digging that badgers was gaining ground it could lead to a potentially close final round.

Carl and Ava remained on the court. At the moment their team mates were satisfied with letting them play since they were doing a good job. Swinging their shooters again, they released their stones almost simultaneously. The stones sped off neck and neck and rounded the first series of 3 obstacles on opposite sides. Somewhere the yellow stone left its opponent behind to claim the points when they had both stopped.

Prefect Franklin received many approvals from the last shot before Ava stepped in for her turn against Carl.. The two shoot their stones, the yellow and red shoot out cleanly and head toward the obstacles. After the first obstacle the red stone rebounded off the yellow, sending the yellow stone out of the ring with the red left to score into the center.
"The final three points go to Gryffindor!" Justin declared before the final announcement. "Gryffindor is declared the winner with 19-8! This concludes the match everyone, thank you for coming out to watch this fine display of a game from both houses. The player of the match is Ava Burton, congratulations." Giving her and both teams a proud smile. "Alright everyone, off to your common rooms and regular studies." Where ever they happened to be as the two advisers ushered them out.
