Gobstones Consolation Match: Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the crisp January chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Mr McLeod and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's consolation match. Mr Kitridge walked in with his hands stuck in his coat pockets against the very crisp and harsh January air, with Mr McLeod the schools groundskeepr and they together set up the hall for the consolation match lightening the fireplaces. On the way down from the castle Leo had walked past the white snow that laid thick all over the grounds. As the teams assembled Leo put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our consolation game of the season, I hope you're all as excited and geared up as I and Mr McLeod are!" Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game. "Let's begin!" For the first roll of the match Ava Burton of the lions and Carl Leonard of the badgers headed out with their shooters onto the court. On Mr Kitridge's signal they swung their shooters and released their marbles. The yellow marble made it past several obstacles before it swerved to the side and stopped. The red marble surpassed its opponent and two more obstacles to claim the first point of the match. "The first point of the Consolation game goes to Gryffindor!" Leo announced. Ava and Carl kept on the court for a second try with the shooters. They swung their shooters and released their marbles. Before either marble had reached the first obstacle they collided with each other with a loud BANG and the building was soon filled with the foul smell of gob. "No points to either house!" Leo announced. Advisor note: Neither house was fully correct. The answers i was looking for was two of these correct ones: Disarming the opponent, disabling the opponent, injuring the opponent, or death. No points were awarded. Gryffindor still leads the match with one point. Ava and Carl pinched their own noses to deflect the smell before sending out their stones. It was a battle of the red and yellow stone as they bounced off each other towards the obstacles. Three down each before they slowed to a halt by the center. The red one was much closer. "Three points to Gryffindor at the end of the first round! They lead 4-0 as we head into the second round." Justin declared. It was much too early to tell the victor, but the match was definitely one to keep others on the edges of their seat at this rate. Gryffindor switched in Yoongi instead of Ava but Carl remained on the court for the Hufflepuffs. Yoongi seemed to have picked up some sort of luck with his first try with the shooter. He was getting his house's stone closer and closer to the Hufflepuff's stone, and the goal in extension. "3 points to Gryffindor at the end of the second round. Gryffindor leads 10-0 as we head into the third round! Come on badgers!" Leo cheered on. The red marble surpassed its opponent and 3 more obstacles for the point. "First point of the third round goes to Gryffindor!" Leo announced.
