When you take the stairs from the Common Room and head to the left, you find the doors of the dormitories allotted for the females of Ravenclaw House. Each year has their own room, but don't worry, they are all furnished the same and are roughly the same size with the help of Extension Charms on the Tower.
Each room is circular with large windows. On windy nights you can hear the wind whistling around the windows; some even find it to be a very relaxing sound. The room is complete with four-poster beds covered in sky blue eiderdowns spread out along the walls with each owner's trunk at the foot. The comforters and privacy curtains are a lovely shade of navy velvet. The bedside tables are navy blue and all details are in bronze like knobs and so on. Above each bedside table a good sized mirror hangs. Connected to each dormitory room is also a bathroom.
Use this room to rest after a hard day of classes, relax after Quidditch practice, or to just hang out with your housemates.
**Remember no boys allowed in here. The stairs will prevent this...
Haddie mock glared at Rachel for chiding her. "I was asleep! Can you control what you can do when you're asleep?" Wait... Was that a thing witches and wizards could do? "Can you, actually? Because muggles can't..."
Pouting, Haddie crossed her arms over her chest, still holding her brush, and pouted. "Thank you! See Ailsa knows!" Haddie went back to trying to comb out the rat's nest her hair was. Rachel was freaking out over the missing doll. Like actually freaking out. "Maybe the doll ran away and shut the door behind it?" ... This probably wasn't a good time for joking actually, with how frantic Rachel was looking for it. "It probably just fell off the side. Check under your bed."
The sound of the door opening and closing drew Haddie's attention away from her BFF's frantic search. She'd half expected to see the doll there, looking sheepish for making Rachel worry. But it was just Katherine. "Hey Mossy." Wait, where had she been. And more importantly, "You didn't see a doll run past you by any chance?"
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
"You're welcome. I reasoned I hadn't imagined that door slamming,'' Rachel told Azura. She was glad she hadn't been hurt either by the shoe or the fall, yes. She now looked back at Haddie. "But you had to have been in at least a partial state of consciousness,'' she told her best friend shrewdly. She shook her head at Ailsa. The cousins were actually agreeing on something. "Okay. Let's just say Haddie was too sleepy to realise what she was doing. You can stop glaring at me.'' She smiled at her friend, knowing that it wasn't really a glare; just a pretend one.
"Yes, it's missing, Azura. Oh, Haddie. How could a doll run away unless someone animated it?'' Rachel, done with searching her bed, followed Haddie's suggestion by getting down on her knees to peer under the bed. "I don't see it,'' she reported in disappointment. She was growing increasingly frantic. She had lost the doll she meant to give back to whomever owned it!
She straightened up as she heard someone else join them. Katherine, it seemed. She smiled at the other girl, the smile mixing with her worried expression. "I seemed to have lost the doll that had been my possession,'' she explained. Haddie's question would probably confuse the girl.
Haddie scoffed at her best friend. Again. "So sleepwalking and sleep talking isn't a thing that happens in the wizarding world then?" She very pointedly stuck her tongue out at Rachel and blew a raspberry.

"Thanks...she is," Olivia assured Ailsa. Her cat was usually pretty calm and chill and had been relaxed on her bed despite the rat and the talking. "I think it was just the surprise of the loud noise. " Even she had been bothered by it. "Thanks...I thought so," she added to Rachel's remark about the name. It had taken a bit of time to try for the right name that seemed to fit her familiar right.
Haddie was awake again, probably because of another girl's fall this time and apparently responded to her name. Olivia had to try to keep herself from chuckling at the whole behavior. "Nothing really, just talking about how Josclina reacted to the thump of your shoe." Said feline calming back down as she sat down on her bed. Oh...so the girl's name was Azura. "Nice to meet you, I'm Olivia," she greeted back before looking confused.
So she hadn't imagined the door or thought it something else.
"Not that I know of." There had only been the essembled girls currently talking to each other in the room and no one had gone...right? Olivia looked around the room just to be sure. Nope. But now they had a Head Girl in their rooms. "I'm not entirely sure, Tia," she answered her pseudo cousin.
And then the last roommate arrived.
Except now Rachel was all frantic about some doll and Haddie was on about it running away and being the source of the so-called slamming. "I'm sure the doll just fell," Olivia commented, agreeing with only one of Haddie's ideas. "And maybe someone from outside the dorm slammed our door for a prank or something. "
Haddie fell back onto her pillow and laid there looking up at the ceiling a moment. Then she sat up again. "Maybe the Hag took it, thinking it was a kid too eat.... Oh!" Speaking of the Hag, "That reminds me. Penny is going to teach disillusionment to protect us from the Hag, with a game of magical hide-and-seek! Who wants in?" She still needed to invite Kitty and Garreth... "No one invite Davie!"
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
"You were conscious enough to toss a smelly shoe,'' Rachel said sweetly to her best friend. "Oh, I think it does happen but just not with you.'' She giggled at Haddie's raspberry. "How very rude of you.''
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
At Olivia's mention of the word 'prank' Rachel shifted her gaze to Haddie. Eyes still on her friend, she shifted back onto her bed as she thought. No, Haddie couldn't have taken it as a prank. She wouldn't do that. Even more so, Rachel had not seen Haddie do any magic or physically come over to her bed to take the doll. She nor none of the other girls could have taken her. She sighed sadly. "I just don't understand. It was practically in the center of my bed so it couldn't have fallen off easily.''
She was distracted by Haddie's outburst. "She couldn't have been in our dorm; we would have seen her,'' she replied with a shudder. "That old lady creeps me out.'' The prospect of learning a new spell intrigued her, however. "Really? I'm game for learning that spell. Aren't you girls, too?'' She looked around at her dorm mates and Tia, who probably knew this spell already though.
"Why not Davie?'' Rachel didn't fully understand the reason why Haddie disliked Davie. He and Rachel hadn't talked a lot but he seemed nice. "Are Garreth and Jace allowed?''
"Boys like Davie Truebridge don't deserve a spell as awesome as this. Plus, he'll just kill the fun by being a jerk." She eyed Rachel sternly. Her best friend hated conflict and was friends with everyone, well almost everyone. The look was a warning that Haddie was serious on the matter, and if Rachel did invite him, Haddie was going to invite Ilia to hang with them all the time. "Gary and Jace are welcome, of course. I just haven't seen them to tell them. If you see them, you can definitely tell them about it." She also needed to find Kitty tomorrow and tell her about it.

Azura perked up a bit as Haddie mentioned not only a new spell but a game of magical hide and seek! "I'm totally up for it! she said with some excitement as she looked around and everyone and smiled at Rachel and Olivia "It's nice to meet you too Olivia." She said with a warm smile at one of her other dormmates!
Now to meet the rest of them.
She turned back to Haddie with a smile.. "So when, and where! This sounds super exciting." She almost felt like bouncing, but she didn't want to fall again, so she stayed where she was, stationed on Rachel's bed.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Rachel was pleased that her dorm mates were getting into the idea of learning a new spell and enjoying a game while at it. At least Azura was. She looked so excited and her tone of voice matched. "If you fall, we won't see once you have the spell on you.'' Rachel was bad at teasing her friends but she was still making an attempt to do so. Azura was a bit clumsy from what she had observed and she easily got embarrassed about it so she didn't have to feel that way with said spell.
"David is not a jerk. I think he's rather nice,'' Rachel admonished Haddie. She hadn't been told about the issues going on between him and her friend. "I'll be sure to tell them tomorrow. I think Azura would want Jasper to come along too.'' She smiled at the girl perched on her bed. "It's really nice of Penelope offering to show us this spell.'' Yes, she was talking about something else but her mind was still fixed on the missing doll. Where could it be?
"Room of requirement, la..." Haddie's mouth slammed shut mid-answer the moment Rachel's words hit her ears. Are you kidding!? Slowly and calmly, her eyes turned to her dark haired bestie boring their incensed glare into her. Haddie opened and closed like she wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. It made her look like a fish.
She recovered with a Hmmph! and turned her nose up at Rachel. She stood there awkwardly for a moment then stormed off to the door. "I... I can't even look at you right now!" The door slammed shut behind her.

Azura glanced at Rachel As she spoke and she laughed a little as the other girls mild tease. "That's true, you won't see me, but that is good and bad..good for me that no one can see my broken nose.. bad for me that no one can see me to heal me!" She said with a soft laugh as she looked over at the two girls who were having a discussions about a boy she didn't know..
"Who is David?" She asked, and was he a jerk or not? She was honestly rather lost about the whole conversation.. and just stayed quiet.. Best friends knew things other friends didn't.. Or dorm mates in Azura's case.
She shot a grateful look over at Rachel as she mentioned Jazzy.. "I would like him to come actually." She said and then.. Haddie seemed to get angry and then just took off!! Azura looked over at Rachel..
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Rachel giggled at Azura. Despite the situation of a broken nose being talked about, the idea of her friend tripping yet again was funny. "Oh, I don't know. You could probably sing or talk or prod someone so you get their attention. But then you might scare them into thinking you're a ghost.'' She then smiled. "I knew you would. Are you two close friends? I saw you and him spending quite a bit of time together.'' Rachel adjusted herself more comfortably on the bed only to see Haddie's mouth open and close repeatedly.
She was rather confused by the reaction. Had she said something wrong? "Haddie? What's the matter?'' She blinked as her friend rushed off for the door. What had she done?
"David is a second year Ravenclaw,'' she explained to Azura as she slid off the bed. "I haven't an inkling as to why Haddie reacted like that.'' She was torn between going after the girl or staying put. She hovered uncertainly as she tried to make up her mind. "I think Haddie possibly does not like David.'' It would the only logical explanation. "Oh, no. I think I've offended her, Azura.'' She needed to cheer Haddie up; make it up to her.
The Eagle bit her lip. "Perhaps I should make her favourite food as an apology. Or maybe I should tell her I dislike David. No, that would be a lie because I don't. I just know I can't let her stay upset at me.'' She was babbling as she was unsure of what to do. "Oh, I know! A prank! Haddie loves pranks. It'll make her feel better if she has a good laugh.'' Rachel didn't like them but it didn't matter. As long as her best friend didn't stay mad at her.
Rachel scooted over to her trunk, flung the lid open and retrieved a tube of sparkling, bright pink glitter. She bustled over to Haddie's bed to pour the tube's contents all over the girl's pillow. Then, she changed the colour from pink to white using magic so that it blended in with the pillow. "You girls can keep a secret, I trust,'' she said giggling. "She'll have pink hair when the spell wears off.'' Rachel hoped Haddie's humour would help them get over this mild misunderstanding.
Nearly two hours later, Haddie finally returned, yawning so wide it looked like she'd someone unhinged her jaw. Eyes barely open, she made her way to her bed, climbed onto it, grab the sheets and face planted onto her pillow.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
It had been a tiring and emotional draining day. Rachel had fled from the Room of Requirement and had dissolved into tears the second she left there. She had managed to make it back to the dorm and had promptly flung herself on her bed, clutching a pillow to her chest as she kept her eyes fixed on the photo frame on the table beside her bed. In the photo were her parents, Barkley and herself. Her parents were smiling and waving at her while Barkley was licking her cheek as she held him in her arms.
The Eagle missed her parents and Barkley. She wanted to go home to them again. She thought she had gotten over being homesick but it did not seem that way. She sighed heavily as she wiped her cheeks and decided to get some sleep. When she awoke, this may all turn out to be a horrible dream. "Goodnight, daddy, mommy and Barkley.'' Rachel turned away from the direction of Haddie's bed, closed her eyes and still clutching her pillow, fell asleep shortly after.
Haddie was still awake, despite how late it was, and howl of the wind outside the tower that kept trying to lull her to sleep. She refused though, holding on to her conscious mind in excitement and anger.
Tonight was the night she'd be paying Rachel back. She'd spent weeks since the night of the betrayal researching spells to get back at her. Most of them hadn't been successful, but she'd managed to learn a few of them. She had a plan now. And now, weeks later, now that Rachel had let her guard down, it was time.
Near as Haddie could figure it was probably somewhere after 1 AM. The rest of her dorm mates were sound asleep. It was now or never.
Haddie slid quietly out of bed, a sharpie and Kira, her wand, firmly in hand. Silver moonlight shone through the windows, providing just enough light to see Rachel's face and her freckles clearly enough. Haddie uncapped the sharpie, and studied her ex-BFF's freckles for a long moment, letting the dots form shapes in the pale light. Once she had a shape she could see clearly, she drew a line connect freckle to freckle as if Rachel's face was a connect-the-dots drawing activity. When one shape was connected via sharpie and freckles, she'd hunt for another one and repeat the process. There was an elephant, a feather, an eye, an accordian and that wasn't even the half of them. Haddie was able to fit 15 in all. 15 various items and animals adorned the freckled eagle's face.
Smirking to herself, Haddie recapped the sharpie and aimed her wand at Rachel's face. In a whispered breath she bewitched the ink so it couldn't be washed or cleaned off for 24 hours. Rachel would have to walk around with connect the dot face all day tomorrow and wouldn't be able wash them off until the following morning... and even then, it was sharpie so, it wasn't going to come off easily.
Satisfied, Haddie crept silently back to her own bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

Azura was exhausted as she trudged into her room and she headed straight to her bed. She didn't care that she was going to miss dinner or lunch.. Or whatever meal! She didn't even know what time it was! Nor did she care. She was tired and she was going to sleep.. Though not without one thing..
Wearily Az pulled out some parchment and her sapphire blue quill and wrote Haddie a short note.
SPOILER!!: Note for Haddie
Haddie,
I'm sorry I didn't do a good enough job protecting you.
I hope you feel better soon.
Fairy Princess
She put the note on Haddie's bed and then put a few sugar quills on top of that!
Azura nodded her head and then wearily moved into her bed..
She didn't even undress she was so tired! Had no one really noticed that she had passed out? Was she really that invisible?
Tears steamed down the 12 year kids face as she snuggled into her bed.. She missed Jasper! And Torie! Where were they when she needed them?
She slowly fell asleep, tears still visible on her cheeks.

Haddie entered, humming to herself, just enjoying the sound of having a voice and paused when she reached her bed. After reading the note, she glanced over at the fairy princess' bed and rolled her eyes. So melodramatic. She took one of the sugar quills and began sucking on it as she made her way over to Azura's bed, note in hand.
Tap tap tap. Tap tap tap. Tap tap tap. Haddie didn't stop taping fairy girl's forehead until she stirred. "Scoot," she ordered, pushing Azzy a little to the other side of her bed, until Haddie herself had enough room to stretch out next to her fellow firstie eagle. Sugar quill still in mouth, she showed Azzy the note the girl left. "What's this about?"

Azura was walking with Jace through a soft warm rain, cherry blossoms were floating all around them and she was smiling over at him warmly.. Laughing a little as they got soaked.. But they didn't care! Everything was fine as long as they were together..
Until the Cherry blossoms started to attack her!!
ACK!! They were tapping her forehead hard.. What was happening??
Ugghhhhhhh Azura's purple eyes slowly started to open!
Haddie?? She wasn't Jace!! Oh.. She had been dreaming. *sighs*
Azura groggily scooted over and she looked over at Haddie as she moved into her bed and Azura turned on her side a bit to look properly at the girl.
"What's what?" She asked as she blinked blearily at the note before.. "Oh.. I was apologizing for not being able to protect you well enough in dueling club." She said softly as she looked up at Haddie. "You got hit." She said with a frown.

"Ah, so you purposely let me get hit? Apology accepted then." Haddie rolled her eyes and gave Azura a look that left no doubt she was being sarcastic. She flicked Azzy hard in the center of the girl's forehead. "Duh, you dork. It was a duel. That's what happens." They were first years, for crying out loud. Firsties. Just learning magic, against students that were in their 5th or 6th years. Really! Azzy did superb out there, better than Haddie could have done. Not that she was going to admit that.
"Being part fairy doesn't make you a super witch, you big dummy." She shook her head before standing up and made her way back to her bed. "Here." Haddie tossed Azura one of the gifted sugar quills, just one though. She was gonna keep the others. "You earned that." Never mind the fact it had been Azzy's to start with. "Thanks for the quills." Haddie hummed quietly to herself while she sucked on her sugar quill. She really missed music. Ever so often she'd glance at Azura with a smirk and roll her eyes or shake her head. After a few minutes Haddie's head began to droop and she climbed into her bed proper..

Even half asleep Azura could catch Haddie's sarcasm before she even tried to attempt a protest! Of course she hadn't meant to let Haddie get hit.. And then before she could say another word.. the girl let out a loud... OW!!! As Haddie thumped her in the middle of her forehead.. Ughhh.. that hurt!
"I know! I know.. but still it doesn't feel good to know that you got hurt while I was defending.. even if that was supposed to happen!" Azura rubbed at her forehead slightly, trying to ease the stinging from Haddie's thump!
She grinned back at the other girl. "No, it doesn't.. does it? I'll have to remember that." She said with a warm smile as she looked over at her friend.. They were friends.. and it felt really nice to have Haddie as one!
"Thanks." Azura said as she caught the sugar quill and set it next to her bed.. She would have to get some more soon!
"Night Haddie! Sleep well." Azura said as she rubbed at her forehead again and then closed her eyes and once more fell into a deep sleep.
It took Haddie entirely too long to remember she had gifts for everyone. But in her defense, she did have things on her mind. And it was only a couple of weeks since they returned from the break. But she remembered now. On each of her roommate's bed she left gifts, wrapped in paper that had a slightly crazed looking cartoon of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer on it. Heh. Haddie loved that paper.
On Rachel's bed was a small square box, that held a little replica of Ariel's seashell necklace in it. It was addressed to Freckle Face.Azura got a similar looking box, that had a fairy pendent necklace, and was addressed to The Fairy Princess. On Ailsa's bed was a book shaped gift, addressed to Elsa. Inside, Ailsa would, in fact, find a book. This was a blank journal, with a small written note to get her big nose out of books, and start filling her own book with her own adventures.
The remaining girls, sadly, Haddie did not know quite so well. Still she tried her best. Mossy got a new set of quills, Snowy Owl and Crow feathers, with some glitter ink, because the girl needed to lighten up a bit and be a bit more whimsical. It was addressed to The Mosster.Livvy got a sketch book and a pack of colored pencils, since she liked to draw. They were addressed to Livvy. And Sammy, Haddie didn't really know Sammy much at all, but she hadn't wanted to exclude the girl. Sammy got a collection of Chocolate frogs, Sugar quills and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. What kid didn't like candy? They were addressed to Sammy. She also got a silent vow, that if Haddie managed to some how return next year, she was going to make sure to get to know the girl better.
Each gift was placed dead center on their beds.
There, that was done. Now all Haddie had to do was wait for the girls to come back to their room and find their gifts. She climbed onto her own bed and took out her journal, the one that will no longer open for anyone but her, and began to scheme in its pages.

It had been a hard few weeks for Azura.. realizing you like someone, blurting it out while being mildly poisoned and then having them remember, did not a good week make.
Really all she wanted to do was get into bed, and try not to cry herself to sleep like the big old baby she was! Yup, she overthought and she was a baby.. She knew this, thank you very much!
She moved into the dorm slowly and waved at Haddie a bit wearily before she moved to her bed and looked down at it..
What was that? A present? For one.. tiny.. split of a nanosecond.. Azura thought it might be from Jace.. and Merlin was she stupid! How would he get it up here and why would he send her a present anyways?
"Get it together Fairy Princess." She said to herself as she sighed softly and climbed up on her bed holding the present
"What's this for?" She asked Haddie.. "Did you remember my birthday?" She teased the girl before realizing.. Duh.. Christmas!
Sam stretched as she entered the dorms, simply planning to grab her scarf from her trunk and head back out again for a walk in the grounds. The sight of both of her dormmates and a parcel on her bed gave her cause to not rush back out again though, and she greeted them friendily. "Hey Azura, Haddie."
She perched on the edge of the bed, and picked up the present curiously. It was ages yet until her birthday, and she couldn't think of anyone who'd send her a present other than her Pa and Dora. She flipped the tag over in her hands, and read the label. To Sammy? "Did yeh get dis feh me, Haddie?" She couldn't think any of the other girls would call her Sammy, from what she'd seen, and she'd only ever introduced herself as 'Sam'.
"D'ya mind if I open it now?" She didn't really know what the protocol was; presents weren't really a thing back home. "The reindeers are well cute."
This isn't 33 days late shhh (we had to react to this Haddie's so cute <3)

. . . back from library again after a looooooong day, all Katherine wanted to do was lying down. She entered the dormitory at last, and placed her bag carefully beside her bed. Then, grabbing her pyjamas from her trunk, she closed the curtains of her bed to change -
There was a gift on her bed.
..............what if it was cursed?
Should she... why would anyone... what did it say over - The Mosster. Followed by other girls' questions of 'A gift for me, Haddie?'
It probably wasn't cursed (Haddie wouldn't dare place hexes on every single girl's gift and if she did, Katherine WAS going to the Headmistress who had offered her TEA so they were sort of BFFs and Haddie wasn't)
She now had to accept a GIFT, a gift bought with SUPPOSEDLY NO bad intentions, from the very girl she loathed; which meant that by accepting this gift, she'd be INDEBTED to the said loathed girl. And if she rejected it; it'd not only be very odd, but it'd also be an open declaration of war, and Katherine did not want that at this early stage of her Hogwarts life. No, she had to accept this gift and:
a. go kiss Haddie and compliment how niiiiiiiiiiiice she was (give her a break) and get infected with germs of idiocy
b. return the gesture and therefore risk exchanging gifts back and forth for the rest of her Hogwarts life.
She hated Haddie. But she also didn't see a way out, so she grudgingly opened it. She also didn't know WHY Haddie bought her a gift. Like, she HATED her and she had no doubt Haddie was at least jealous of her: she was smart, well behaved, never ever had a point deducted, hardworking, successful... what was Haddie's ultimate goal?
Wait, were these feathers authentic? Was this... glitter ink?
Okay, glitter was directly going to her cousin, but the quills...
...that Haddie Denaker bought her...
She walked over to the girl. "Thank you," she said genuinely, because even though she did hate her and still thought this was some sort of trap, she liked the gifts (unless they were charmed to mis-copy the class notes and make Katherine fail). She even smiled. She would write to her mum about this and ask for advice, of course, but until then, she wouldn't worry much.
No, never once did it occur to Katherine Moss that Haddie might be a good girl.
