The front of the train is the perfect seat for those eager to see, be seen, and get to school FIRST. Avoid the Prefects' Compartment, unless you're looking for trouble, but there is plenty of seating available in these compartments.
Olivia really needed to learn not to get distracted, or at least focus on only one direction at any one time. For as soon as she did, she was usually bumping into something, or someone, or they were bumping into her. This time was from behind, not face to face as she and the older boy Zeke had managed at Flourish and Blotts over the summer.
She stumbled, and Locklyn was lightly digging her claws into her mistress to insure she didn't fall. On feet...or no. "Easy there..." she tried to assure her familair before turning to look at her attacker. One curly-haired boy who didn't seem all that old. "Sorry I wasn't moving fast enough..."
Easy there? He hadn't meant to bump into her. Cornelius was ready to explain that he wasn't a hooligan randomly bumping into people, it was something that always happened to him. The worse had been bumping into an older hag lady and getting a whack from her purse.
The moment she turned around though, he realized she must have been speaking to her cat. Right?
"N'aw, it's okay," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I wasn't looking where I was going." Did he ever? "You and your pet okay?"

Cornelius mimicked her head tilt the way he did when Peyton did that, though when he did that to her it was just to annoy her. This time was out of habit.
Dropping his hand, the first year fixed his school robes. "Good," he chimed, his gaze zeroing in on the cat, noting the tail swishing. "Does that mean it's angry?" Cornelius pointed at the cat's tail. If he were a cat and someone bumped into his master, Cornelius would be claws out and protective. Maybe this cat was halfway there.
Jasper couldn't help but smile at the soft reply. Someone other than him was a little bit shy as well it seemed.
"Thanks," he answered, taking a seat across from her. At that moment the compartment door had been flung open and his own eyes had widened at the entrance of another girl. Who looked exactly like the one who was already here.
Twins?
Probably.
He really wasn't sure what he was meant to do though as he watched them interact, so he just decided to sit quietly and assumed at some point the new twin would notice him. Or the old twin would remember he was there.
At that moments the first twin he met did turn to him and introduced the both of them! That was helpful. Now he had to work on telling them apart for later. For now, they weren't wearing the same clothes so it was alright.
"My names Jasper," he introduced with a smile. "It's nice to meet you... both."

Like everyone at the station everyone. She would've called mom and had her come down to the station if it was what it took. What? Ryland had seperation issues. Some people were allergic to bread, she was allergic to being away from her sister.
It wasn't until he was introduced that she noticed the boy in the compartment at all. Ohmygosh, humiliation! How did she miss this? He must've felt so awkward! Especially after she came in here, excitement blazing like a slightly tall an very pink sun. Speaking of, her new gladiator sandals were so cute and honestly, she was sad she couldn't wear it as part of the uniform. What did this school have against fashion?
"Hi, Jasper! Nice to meet you too! I'm so sorry, I can't believe I missed you sitting here!" She let out a giggle, her body shaking gently with the movements. It WAS kind of funny, if not a bit rude. He just sat there too! He should've said something when she ran in here, blazing with energy and braid crown attempting to rebel against the million bobby pins she stuck in her hair. Owwwww! One was in the process of stabbing her skull out and digging it's way into her brain! Rude!
"Is this your first time going to Hogwarts too? " Reaching behind her, she worked on moving the bobby pin while talking, trying to carry on a conversation while a tiny metal thing tried to impale her like some kind of foregin dictator who just won a war.

Was he pulling his wand at her? The Hag looked at him, her eyes wild and her laugh loud. The little one was trying to be brave too. It was obvious Ursula felt no threat of these young children. Pointing a finger towards them she moved it across and disarmed the boy, his wand falling just out of reach onto the ground.
"I would not advice you to threaten your elders. Not with the things I have seen for you." She was eyeing them all, including the boy hiding behind the others. "Bravery will only get you so far. The cards have a bigger fate for you. You will be making the wrong choices that will leave you in a bad path." A prefect? She looked towards the badge knowing that word. Maybe that badge could be added to her collection. "The professors won't have an issue with me." She gave a wicked grin.
Her cackles echoed the train as she turned and moved away from them. There were other things to see.
Continuing her walk through the corridor she saw more students stepping back and grinning, "Don't be afraid dearies, I can help you on your quest and I am no grandma." She pointed her long finger at the two, "You will have a journey together that will find you in many dangers."
"Is this your first time going to Hogwarts too?" Jay let out at the same time as her twin did. Giggling she added "Jinx!" Jay and her sister did that ALL the time. It was like they had that twin telepathy type of thing going on for them.
After her little bit of giggling her jaw dropped to the floor. A look that pained her crossed the poor girl's eyes... "Sister...what if...what if we don't get into the same house!?!" Jay almost started to cry after she said that! What if that was true though!? What if they didn't both get into the same house. Hopefully, they'd both get into Ravenclaw together, but, what if, for some odd reason...that didn't happen!? Jay would scream and cry a thousand tears if they got seperated!!!
Glancing back over to the boy, she had to fake a small smile again. "What house are you hoping to get in?" A curiousness in her tone.
Hearing a loud cackle from outside the cabin, curiosity got the best of her and she peered out...
OH MY GOD WHAT WAS THAT THING!?!?!?
Quickly exiting the compartment she joined the small group forming around this wicked old hag. Who was this being? Jay couldn't help but push her way through the small group to the front...she couldn't help being short!!! Standing there in awe she gawked at the sight of this strange...woman??? Thing???? It???? Being??? Whatever it was...

She was staying a safe distance away from the hag terrorizing the little ones. More accurately, Brooklyn was staying a safe distance away from the smell, leaning against the wall of the corridor between two compartment doors. It was as if Maggy the Frog was real, which was intriguing and yet also disturbing. Especially on the Express. She wasn’t about to leave, though. It was much too intriguing, watching the hag with a slightly raised eyebrow. That and watching the little kids who were daring to get close, and the Hufflepuff trying to give her a lecture.
That was just stupid, and so was all the talk of reversed empresses and mythical quests. At least, it was boring. Obviously kicking the hag off the train wasn’t going to work, and neither was poking at her. All that would do was make the smell worse.

Stopping she looked at the young boy that just spoke to her. "You have many omens around you, did you know?" Pointing her very long finger towards him, "You need to be very careful this year."
A cackle left her throat as she continued to walk down the corridor.
Brady blinked at the old woman. Did she have some screws loose in her brain? What would make someone say that to an eleven year old? Brady watched the woman walk away.
Brady peaked his head out of the compartment door and in the direction of the old lady. "THANK YOU FOR THAT USELESS INFORMATION LADY!" The Scottish boy yelled after her. Crazy that one was.

"Do you know what 'You have many omens around you, did you know?' means?" The Scottish boy asked the girl. Then he heard what she was saying. "Oh! Yeah, of course! I'm Brady!" Bradson nodded and smiled at the girl.

And Kyroh would have been EXCITED about it! If....he didn't just see Jade's crying face only seconds before boarding the train. Seeing her cry was almost like being stabbed in the heart. Definitely like being stabbed in the heart. Being stabbed could not hurt worse okay!?!? His little sister there, crying because of HIM. Bitting down in his lip, Kyroh ventured through the train as he tried to get a last fleeting glance at her. The moment the train had left the platform completely, he was digging through his pockets and in no time at all he withdrew a slightly crumpled piece of paper and a small pencil.
Walking into a compartment without looking at ANY of the people inside, Kyroh plopped down on the floor, right on his stomach and began to draw.

The woman hadn't said anything yet, which Ariadne thought could be both a good thing and a bad thing. There were people standing around, most of whom Ariadne didn't even know, saying and shouting some pretty terrible things. Yeah, this woman was freaky and scary, but they probably shouldn't be making her mad. All the talk just made Ariadne that much more nervous.
Somebody else joined them then, somebody who apparently knew the boy she'd been talking to. Ace? That was a cool name. Never mind that. She nodded when the girl mentioned the smell. "But shh," she whispered, "I'm kind of scared we're going to make her mad. She looks like the kind who could smash us to bits if she wanted to." She smiled and added, "I'm Ariadne."
Ariadne didn't even know if the girl heard that last part or not. She'd pulled something out her bag and was walking right up to the old woman. MERLIN! She held her breath wondering how the woman would react to this.

"Who's that?" she whispered to her. Something didn't seem right...she got a weird feeling in her stomach. The type of feeling that made her want to stop the train and run back to London and her parents...
Then someone was calling her name, which caused Ariadne to shift her attention. "Hey, Scarlett!" she said, smiling even though she was really scared to move much. She still wanted to turn around and leave, but the thought of that woman following behind her, where Ariadne couldn't see her, was too much to chance. She started to gesture Scarlett toward their visitor, when the girl figured it out on her own.
Ariadne had no idea why Scarlett was edging behind her. Ariadne was super small and probably couldn't conjure a spell right now even if she wanted to. She hadn't had THAT much practice. "We don't know," she whispered in reply to Scarlett's question. "I just asked her, though."
Afraid? Who's afraid? He wasn’t afraid. At least he didn’t think so.
She was just ugly. And smelly. Those would make anyone stop and back up some.
But ohohoho she said some magic words "Quest? Danger?" the curly haired boy grinned at the sound of it. Wild imaginings of knights and dragon slaying ensues in his head. "That sounds cool! Where do we sign up?--" he stopped short and glanced back at the girl again and muttered "--I mean are you up for this? You gotta be up for this. She just said we'll have a journey together."
Never mind the fact that he doesn’t even know the girl's name. Introductions-- aint nobody got time fo' dat. They goin' on a quest!

Ariadne jumped ever so slightly when the woman's long finger was pointed her way. "A journey together that will find us in many dangers?" she asked. Ohhh, yeah! Her mama had used about that very same description when telling her how Hogwarts might unfold for her. Seemed something dangerous wound up happening every year anyway. "Okay, well, erm, thanks for the warning... What's your name, by the way? Does the Headmistress know you're here?"
Ariadne looked at the boy as if he'd just grown three heads and an extra arm. "You're a Gryffindor, aren't you?" she asked, giving him a small, amused smile. "I don't know. I think we should get some more information first." She said this in a whisper, not wanting the woman to overhear her in case she decided to point that long, scary finger in her direction again. "This doesn't scream 'stranger danger' to you at all?" Ariadne kind of wanted to take three steps backward and turn and run, but then it was also a good idea to keep the woman in sight. That way she didn't have to be afraid of her lurking behind her back.

It is the best way to lose a hand." She let go of the girls arm and moved her finger making the ear vanish. Her bird squawked at them. "The dangers will be worse for you all now." Turning she headed further down the corridor.

Turning back to him she eyed the boy for a moment, "You have great challenges ahead and most you will not be worthy enough to succeed." She pulled the card out of her bag and handed it to the boy. "I expect that back deary."

As the old hag lady, person, thing, creature, being, whatever it was, pulled out that old perfume and sprayed it, Jay coughed and gagged, and then coughed some more. "Eeeeeewwwwww!!! What's in that stuff!? Dead bodies???" Eugh, it reeked of death, and now the scent was all over her too probably!! Well, it wasn't as bad as her sister would have reacted to it...trust me, her twin, the fashion diva, would have died if she smelled this...this...I'm not even sure if you could consider it a perfume really.
After the smelling that foul scent, the first year piped up "Hey lady, are you a fortune teller!!! Can you read my fortune and tell me my future???" Jay needed to know badly!!! She just had to know!!! But...if it was like any of the others, than it wasn't going to be good. Hopefully it would be a good future. Hopefully, it wasn't terrible at the very least. Even though all this hag seemed to be talking about was death and destruction and omens...
While all the ruckus was going on, the young girl felt something fall from her pocket. Jay peered down for a moment to realize it was her wand. Picking it up, she marveled at the site of it again, remembering everything the wand keeper told her about it. '11 1/2 inch pliant Holly with Knarl Quill...good for defensive magic and healing...good with protection against lightning...communicates better with magical beasts.' The piercing blue eyed girl just adored the thing!!
Although, she hated the fact it was better with defensive spells, but hopefully, that wasn't entirely true...hopefully...

The boy edged closer, reaching out his hand to take the card. Great challenges? Not worthy of succeeding? He was only eleven, what great challenges could he possibly be facing? It wasn't like he was Harry Potter.
He turned the card over, looking at it curiously as Sniffler unrolled himself in his other hand. The colours were different, but this definitely looked like something that could have come out of the set of magic cards his dad had given to his mom. He hadn't gotten to really look at them, because he wasn't allowed to touch them or anything, but he'd watched her look through them and they all had weird drawings like this.
But why on earth would this card be assigned to him in any way? It wasn't like his name was on it. He squinted at it a bit, just to make sure, because maybe the old lady was seeing things that he wasn't. Maybe she was a Seer? That would explain it. Seers saw things aaaaall the time that normal people like Jaemin wouldn't be able to see.
"Is this one of those cards for divinnynation?" He'd said that wrong. He frowned a bit and tried that word again, holding it out for her to take back. He wasn't gonna go looking for her later to give it back, after all. The train was far too crowded, and he didn't need some old lady putting a secret curse on him or something because he couldn't give her cardy thing back. "Dih vin nay shun."
He drew back a little more when she sprayed stuff in the air. It smelled like the old people home he went to at Christmastime, when he had to sing carols. His little nose wrinkled up and he shook his head a bit.
WOOOHOOO!!!!!! Isabella couldn't believe it.... she was finally on the train and away from her parents. This was going to be sooooo AWESOME!!!!!!"Hogwarts here I come." Yes, she was talking to herself and no she didn't care how silly she looked. She had been waiting for this day all summer and she had it all planned out to take Hogwarts by storm, but first she needed to find a seat. She was just going to find an empty compartment, but did she really look like a girl who would sit by herself during her first ride on the Hogwarts Express? HECK NO!!!! Bella planned on mingling with anyone who wanted to talk to her.
Meow.
“Hold on Jewel I’ll let you out as soon as I find a seat.” She replied, to the meow that came from the small opening in her backpack. She had been forced to place her mischievous kitten in her bag to keep her out of trouble while she boarded, but what Bella didn’t realize that Jewel had slowly opened the zipper wider and wider until not out could her head fit out, but her front paws. That was all she needed to squeeze the rest of her body out to be free of her confinements.
Meow.
Bella was heading towards the back of the train, but stopped at the sound of the second meow. It was slightly different than the first... like it wasn’t coming from her bag anymore. She quickly turned and saw her precious kitten curiously looking down the opposite end of the train. “Jewel…” she said, in a warning voice as if knowing what was about to happen next.

“JEWEL YOU GET BACK HERE!” She yelled, as nothing more than a black blur could be seen making its way farther toward the very front compartments of the train.
Brady blinked at the old woman. Did she have some screws loose in her brain? What would make someone say that to an eleven year old? Brady watched the woman walk away.
Brady peaked his head out of the compartment door and in the direction of the old lady. "THANK YOU FOR THAT USELESS INFORMATION LADY!" The Scottish boy yelled after her. Crazy that one was.
What the heck was that? He was just trying to be nice to the old lady and then BAM she just started being very weird and saying whatever that meant. Bradson just stared out the window and tried t let his brain process what had just happened.
The eleven year old just sat there with his mouth opened. What did 'You have many omens around you, did you know?' mean? Bradson looked up when he heard footsteps, he looked at the girl. "Do you know what 'You have many omens around you, did you know?' means?" The Scottish boy asked the girl. Then he heard what she was saying. "Oh! Yeah, of course! I'm Brady!" Bradson nodded and smiled at the girl.
Kay looked at Brady oddly 'What does he mean by that?' She thought before saying out loud "I have no idea what that means. Why?".
She smiled when he let her sit down. She picked a spot next to the window, and turned back to Brady. "Hi Brady. Nice to meet you. Is this your first year as well? Do you know anything about Hogwarts?" She asked, hoping to get any information about the school

Ariadne jumped ever so slightly when the woman's long finger was pointed her way. "A journey together that will find us in many dangers?" she asked. Ohhh, yeah! Her mama had used about that very same description when telling her how Hogwarts might unfold for her. Seemed something dangerous wound up happening every year anyway. "Okay, well, erm, thanks for the warning... What's your name, by the way? Does the Headmistress know you're here?"
Ariadne looked at the boy as if he'd just grown three heads and an extra arm. "You're a Gryffindor, aren't you?" she asked, giving him a small, amused smile. "I don't know. I think we should get some more information first." She said this in a whisper, not wanting the woman to overhear her in case she decided to point that long, scary finger in her direction again. "This doesn't scream 'stranger danger' to you at all?" Ariadne kind of wanted to take three steps backward and turn and run, but then it was also a good idea to keep the woman in sight. That way she didn't have to be afraid of her lurking behind her back.
Whats the Orient Express? "A really cool train with lots of shiny things that shatters in like a bazillion pieces! Its like stars on the floor!" the boy beamed brightly "Better yet, the Train Bossman pops in to visit too! I guess he doesn’t see much stars" he was so proud that he always got him to visit.
Oh so granny with a polly isnt related to this girl? Now his curiosity intensified-- she was old, smelly, ugly, and sneaking about in the train full of students. Sounds like the Hall Monitor. And aint it a blast annoying the Hall Monitor?
But there was something the girl mentions that distracted him for a sec "I'm a wha?-- oh!" she was talking about the Hogwarts Houses. The curly top shrugged his slight shoulders and replied "I dunno. My dad was a Slytherin. So maybe I'll be Slytherin too." Made sense to him. And stranger danger? "'Danger Will Robinson! Danger!'" Tenacius intoned as he wobbled on his feet mimicking the cheesy robot. Chuckling he added "I dunno, she screams more 'Witch Weekly's Emergency Makeover' to me."

She started to gesture Scarlett toward their visitor, when the girl figured it out on her own.
Ariadne had no idea why Scarlett was edging behind her. Ariadne was super small and probably couldn't conjure a spell right now even if she wanted to. She hadn't had THAT much practice. "We don't know," she whispered in reply to Scarlett's question. "I just asked her, though."

One that is full of terror and destruction that will bring great opportunities to you." As she continued walked she sniffed their air. The children's scent was too strong. Reaching into her bag she pulled out a bottle of old smelly perfume and sprayed it around.
And then he heard Mel calling out his pet name. "Mel!" he called out as she joined them "You can smell her too right?" he whispered hoarsely. And then she brings out the awesome snoopah snoop thingy "Good idea!"
They were joined by another girl, and they all seemed to know each other. Names. Girls are so good with names "Ariadne. Scarlett. and of course Melbourne." he joke-mocked her name. He felt a little queasy having his baby name called up and down the corridor so he added "I'm Tenacius. Tenacius Salander at your service." bows. Hey if they're going on a quest he's totally gonna be all Thorin Oakenshield about this.
And then granny with the polly suddenly cackled professing doom and gloom and all that. But then she caught Mel's snoopah snoop thing and she started to drift further down the corridor. Awww nuu now they cant learn nuffin. With that Tenacius' face skewered and retorted as he went after her "But this is the train to Hogwarts. Theres just books and ghosts and the occasional tournaments. That’s not a quest. Where be the dragonssss and the bright shineh joools??"
Eeww she was spraying her perfume all over the place now.

The FRONT of the TRAIN! Okay well, as FRONT as possible given they had needed to give Chloe hugs when she had gone and had a sulky baby fit about her and Callum going and that had SLOWED THEM DOWN a lot, but still REALLY CLOSE to the front! Which was important! Char wanted her brother to SEE EVERYTHING right away as soon as possible and FIRST before anyone else because she was a good sister like that!
"Here!" Charlotte FLOPPED down dramatically on a free seat. "Callum! This is perfect!" It would be MORE perfect if their cousins would find them (they would, right? They knew they should look for her, RIGHT??!? AND DAVIE TOO RIGHT? AND GENNY? AND EVERYONE!?), but at least they had a whole compartment for themselves.

Katherine wanted to sit on the front, because in her eyes, where you sat on a train showed what kind of a student you were, and she was going to be the BEST student, thank you very much. So, after bidding goodbye to her parents, she hopped on the train and entered in the first compartment she could find. She left the door open for if Blaise or anyone else wanted to come.
Hopefully an older student would come, though, so that she could ask them questions.

Not because of his good-looking face (though she admit that he's very handsome) but also, he really knew those topic very much and doing it more by practical approach rather than boring theoretical class. Ilia sat in a currently empty compartment, closest to the prefect's. Yes, she knew her boy was in there and she would wait out here. Easiest way to meet him right? All of her luggage was stowed, Beltaine her owl comfortably in her carrier on the seat. Ilia had made herself somewhat comfortable next to her owl and debated what she should do while she waited.
A moment later, a little black whoosh of fur came rushing into her compartment. What was that? She had her arm in front of her owl protectively, and her other hand on her wand just in case. The little ball of fur calmed though and she could see now that it was a kitten.....
She was going to guess that a first year had lost their pet, perhaps she should help. "Hello little one." She called to her sweetly and placed her empty hand on the floor of the compartment and began to wiggle her fingers enticingly. Every kitten loved to play pounce wiggle fingers.

All of the compartments looked completely full! This was ridiculous. Not only did he miss Ace at the Platform, but not a single one of these compartments had him in it, OR had any space for him at all. Torrance half considered just sitting in the corridor for his first Train-Ride Ever to Hogwarts. That'll be a fun story to tell.
He hurried along pushing aside anyone else looking for a compartment, and with extremely good luck! Wow Torrance Wow there was an Open Compartment with only one other girl in it. She looked about his Age so he shoved in. "Hey, I'm coming in here...Thanks. Who the Hell are you?" He spoke, not giving the girl any chance to object. He stood on one of the compartment chair and started stuffing his luggage up top.

"With the bad usually comes a good. The good here would be getting to meet new professors." It might not be the best good thing out there like flowers, butterflies or chocolate bit it was something. With any luck for them these new Professors would be entertaining and make the lessons fun.
Hady grinned. "Anytime. When exactly is your birthday?" This would be important cause surely the younger girl would want to be with her twin and family on her true birthday. So maybe a day that close to both of their birthdays would work for this. At least they had a lot of time still to figure it all out.

Esme smiled at Azura and then noticed the way that she had touched her nose. Had she fallen again or something? It was hard not to think that the little girl was clumsy - after all she had taken a rather nasty tumble in the courtyard...and now she seemed to have hurt herself again. Would it be proper to ask? Not sure what to do, it was a relief when the other girl did it for her.
That was a relief, as was the fact that Azura was okay.
"I am quite well! Rather looking forward to coming back to Hogwarts, but I can't seem to find my sister. I think our twin senses are being defective..." Probably because there were so many people on the train right now. Usually she did not have this problem unless there were crowds. "How are you? Looking forward to the Sorting Ceremony?" That could be rather intimidating for the new students, but it wasn't so bad really. Well, so long as you didn't mind the entire school staring at you...
As the new girl introduced herself as Rachel, Esme made a mental note to remember that. Fortunately it wasn't exactly a difficult name to remember. "Nice to meet you, Rachel. I am Esme Darcy." Hopefully that wasn't a hard name to remember either.

“You have a pretty name too, Esme.’’ Rachel smiled at the girl. “What year are you in? Are you and your twin in the same House?’’ She obviously knew that sometimes family members tend to be placed in the same House and she was hoping this happened to her. “What were your other Hogwarts years like?’’ Rachel and her questions... but this was what she was like. Her mind always was inquisitive.
Azura breathed a sigh of relief as it seemed that Esme believe that her nose was all right! Good! The less people worrying about her the better! Azure smiled warmly as she said she was good, "I am glad to hear that you as well, but.. sister?" She had a sister? a twin sister? Ohh that must be fun! "I hope you find her soon." She said with another warm smile.
"I'm good, nervous about the sorting ceremony of course! I just hope I get into the house I want." She bit her lip a little, the movement jarring her nose and she had to bit her lip a little harder!
"Ahh yeah, My mom wanted to call me Azure but my Dad wanted it to be more feminine.. so Azura." She said as she looked over at Rachel. "Yeah I am a first year, are you? I'm so nervous about the sorting! She said with a smile.

Ariadne didn't say anything else until the woman was gone. It was only when she was completely out of sight that the first year found herself able to move again. She breathed a sigh of relief before turning to the others. "THAT," she said, looking in the direction the woman had headed in, "is the scariest person I have ever seen in my whole life. What was she talking about anyway? A quest? Dangers?" She shrugged her shoulders. "I've heard that something dangerous happens almost every year at Hogwarts, but this was just creepy." All of it. From start to finish.

Oh so granny with a polly isnt related to this girl? Now his curiosity intensified-- she was old, smelly, ugly, and sneaking about in the train full of students. Sounds like the Hall Monitor. And aint it a blast annoying the Hall Monitor?
But there was something the girl mentions that distracted him for a sec "I'm a wha?-- oh!" she was talking about the Hogwarts Houses. The curly top shrugged his slight shoulders and replied "I dunno. My dad was a Slytherin. So maybe I'll be Slytherin too." Made sense to him. And stranger danger? "'Danger Will Robinson! Danger!'" Tenacius intoned as he wobbled on his feet mimicking the cheesy robot. Chuckling he added "I dunno, she screams more 'Witch Weekly's Emergency Makeover' to me."
And then he heard Mel calling out his pet name. "Mel!" he called out as she joined them "You can smell her too right?" he whispered hoarsely. And then she brings out the awesome snoopah snoop thingy "Good idea!"
They were joined by another girl, and they all seemed to know each other. Names. Girls are so good with names "Ariadne. Scarlett. and of course Melbourne." he joke-mocked her name. He felt a little queasy having his baby name called up and down the corridor so he added "I'm Tenacius. Tenacius Salander at your service." bows. Hey if they're going on a quest he's totally gonna be all Thorin Oakenshield about this.
And then granny with the polly suddenly cackled professing doom and gloom and all that. But then she caught Mel's snoopah snoop thing and she started to drift further down the corridor. Awww nuu now they cant learn nuffin. With that Tenacius' face skewered and retorted as he went after her "But this is the train to Hogwarts. Theres just books and ghosts and the occasional tournaments. That’s not a quest. Where be the dragonssss and the bright shineh joools??"
Eeww she was spraying her perfume all over the place now.
When the shock had finally worn off, Ariadne remembered that Ace had said something else about the Orient Express. "Well, the Orient Express sounds awesome! Ace, right? I'm Ariadne," she said. Then he started jumping from one topic of conversation to another, which just earned him a confused look from Ariadne. "Who's Will Robinson?" she said. "Oh, and my parents were both Slytherins! It's the house I'm hoping for!" Oh please, oh please, oh please let it be SLYTHERIN!
"So who are you? Tenacius or Ace?" she asked. "I like Ace. It sounds really cool and awesome!" Tenacius did, too, but Ace reminded her of the other definition of ace--the one one you used when somebody was perfect at something, and you said they ACED it. He was asking about the quest again, and Ariadne smiled. "Yeah, you're a Gryffindor alright. Why don't we just wait until we get to the school and see what the Headmistress has to say? That woman doesn't look like the type I'd like to just willingly follow."
Mainly because her perfume smelled really, really gross.
