Down the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and to the left lie the dungeons of Hogwarts. In order to reach the various classrooms down here and the Slytherin Common Room, you have to make your way through the creepy, dark, green-tinged dungeon corridors... beware of cobwebs and mold growing in the corners...

Except, then there was the outburst regarding her revelation about the Chamber and the nifflers, which made her contemplate changing her opinion. “Well, we’d gone in as a group. I doubt anyone would try to go in all by themselves, and as long as someone knew you went in, I bet they’d get you out.” People rarely vanished without a trace anymore. Even the students who had gotten kidnapped by the acromantulas had been rescued, after all, and the forest was ten times scarier than the Chamber. The Chamber was just a room, and couldn’t have been that much deeper than they were right now.
The obvious disappointment nearly amused her. It was hardly her fault that her sister hadn’t had Ariadne’s mother as a professor, but she shrugged as her question about the younger girl’s sister was answered. “I’ve heard her name. My dad is the coach for Puddlemere.” She wondered if Sierra had been her when Lily had, too, but she refrained from asking. Just as she didn’t comment on any of the rest. Except... “I think Anna went to Hogwarts at the same time as my aunt. Elizabeth Andrews?” Well, not anymore, but for this instance it made more sense to mention her aunt’s maiden name. She’d shrugged at the question of sports, too. “I’m a ballet dancer,” she offered. She didn’t play Quidditch or Gobstones, though. Ballet was a sport.
Brooklyn may not be phased in the least bit about going into the Chamber of Secrets, but Ariadne was! Maybe it was their age difference or the fact that Brooklyn had been around this castle a lot longer than Ariadne had. Either way, Ariadne was scared of that chamber, and she was NOT willingly going down there. "I think I'll just take your word for it," she said with a laugh. At least for now. Maybe when she was older she'd feel a lot differently.
Ariadne's eyes grew wide, and she smiled at Brooklyn's next comment. "A professional Quidditch coach? That's awesome!" she said. It was just as exciting as being related to an actual player, because either way, they were on the inside when it came to a professional team! "I'll have to tell my sister I met you. I bet she knows your dad, for sure!" She shrugged at the mention of Elizabeth Andrews' name. "Probably so." Even if she didn't know the name off the top of her head. "Ballet dancing sounds fun! I bet I'd like that just as much as Quidditch!" The thing is, her family was SO into Quidditch that she had no idea if any of them were into any other sports.
"Well, I guess I'll see you later! It was nice meeting you," she said. An eleven-year-old could only stand still in one place for so long, and then her mind starting wandering off to other things. "Have a good day, Brooklyn!" Then Ariadne was off to the common room. She had homework to do, and lots of it. BLAHHH.
