SPOILER!!: James! As she finished speaking her eyes went from his face over to Daisy making sure the crup hadn't gotten herself into any trouble before returning to James once again. Just in time too. She had spotted his smile that was accompanied by his words. A compliment. This time she was sure of it. And coming from him it was something special and rather rare. Hady nodded firmly, "Thank you sir," she answered with a smile of her own. Hmm. She didn't think so. Well okay maybe there was just one more small thing he could do for her. "Well um...if you wouldn't mind writing me up a quick letter of letter of recommendation I would greatly appreciate it." He was the one that had already helped her tremendously so there was no one else she could think of to ask first. |
SPOILER!!: Hady! "That I can do," he nodded. It wouldn't be a problem, honestly. Most of his students didn't spend enough time with him to ask for recommendations yet. It was a blessing that came with being a first time Professor at a school. One letter wouldn't be terrible. And with that, he looked over at Merlin. After spending so much time with the dog, James could demand a single thing just with a pointed look. And only to prove just that, Merlin jumped right up to a sitting position. "If there isn't anything else, I think Merlin's about ready to head back inside," also James had some more papers to grade. The never ending pile, it seemed. "I'll get started on your recommendation soon," he gave her a soft sort of nod. |
SPOILER!!: James! Hady expelled a breath she hadn't known she was holding when he confirmed her request of a recommendation from him. It was important. His letter could make or break this for her..well okay maybe not fully but it would certainly give her a huge advantage. The smile on her face was certainly there now if it hadn't been already. "No sir," she answered softly with a small shake of her head sending her brunette hair all about her face. "Thank you for all of your help." Really. All of her thanks went to him. If she got accepted for any of these jobs or apprenticeships she would be forever in his dept that's how much this meant to her. As for now she would be staying right where she was underneath this here tree for just a bit more enjoying the fresh air and allowing Daisy time to stretch her legs. |
SPOILER!!: Haddddyyyyy "My pleasure, Miss Lynch," only because he thought she was among one of the good ones, honestly. But either way, he had some good material to add to her recommendation and he was going to get started on it right away. Because despite what the general public may think, James Draper kept his word. Most of the time. "I'll see you in class," he gave her a nod and a small half-grin as he and Merlin started making their way back to the front door, towards his office. Back to grading more papers. How. Incredibly. Wonderful. |
SPOILER!!: James There was nothing else to be said. What had started off as just some extra free time and a bit of fresh air had turned into an epic opportunity for her. The very moment she got back to her common room she would be getting started on the applications and letters needed in order to find out everything about the choices she had already made. Giving Draper one of her true smiles and a firm nod of her head she watched as he headed back towards his office with Merlin. When the man was out of sight her attention went right back to Daisy as she called her over tossing a color rubber ball out into the distance for the crup. She still wanted to speak to her father about possibly looking into getting one of her own, not today though. Right now she had enough to do. |
