Once the door as let you through to the third and final room you will find a regular classroom with desks and a professor. The professor has his back turned towards you as he watches through what looks like two windows. One that is showing the first room and one that is showing the second. He has been watching and taking notes the entire time. He doesn't look up as you walk in, but there is a note on the board near him.

We are all now in this room! HELLO!! Thank you for being oh so patient with me and messaging me if I had missed a post or with any questions. I've been working on my phone using data since Sunday night! Phones are hard!! Internet is now back and Julien and I are ready for some class time

Watching as some just got up and left and others were dragged out. He took this as a chance to continue his observation. The one leaving and dragging his relative he would be keeping an eye on. There was something about that child that he was struggling with. Had he not found his potential yet or was he just that against learning? He fully saw potential in the other one and he was going to hope that he didn't allow anyone to take him down in their own plan of destruction.
Turning back to the class he said goodbyes to the ones that spoke and nodded to the ones that said the lesson was a good one. He was glad that some enjoyed his little test. It was easy enough and it was exactly what he wanted it to be. Honestly he was thrilled with the amount of help and effort all of them put forward. It seemed that at least one student was wanting to practice and Julien moved towards her as she asked a question.

She sat back down and aimed her wand at it. "Alohomora." The box clicked unlocked. "Colloportus." The box clicked locked. Then a minute or two later, unlocked itself again. Haddie sighed. "Colloportus!" It clicked itself locked again. While she waited, she turned to the box she'd earned in one of the challenges, the one she'd been practicing on while waiting. "Alohomora." Might as well practice on all the boxes while waiting to see if the charm stuck or not.
Only this time, it wasn't Colloportus she had issues with. The box unlocked itself, and then not a minute later, re-locked itself. "Mr. Primeaux? I seem to have trouble countering my own charms. I can't get the counter-charms to stay, um... charmed."
"Concentration and practice are the two biggest things you need as a first year trying to do any charms. You have got the wand movement it seems, but just make sure your grip is firm and your voice is clear." Any hesitation and it wouldn't fully work. "Your determination will get you far and practicing will help. Go ahead and try again."

Olivia must have missed something being discussed because the professor was talking to various other students as she settled in. And then the doors were opened for the remaining fellows and the man was speaking to them all as a whole and drawing their attention to the board as he spoke. Respect…Responsibility…Safety. Good things to be conscious of and by Primeaux’s standards, she herself may or may have not followed through with them to her surprise.
She respected her fellow students and professor…been aware of acting cautiously to be safe…yet she hadn’t worked as a team.
Well much besides accepting Rachel’s help and thanking her for it.
When they were dismissed, Olivia was almost ready to leave but something got her to stay. Unlocking she had gotten down, but locking was still rocky. Doing as the professor had said, she helped herself to a box to work with and settled back to work. “Alohomora!” Click, the cabinet was open. Easy enough since she was good there. Now for the opposite. “Colloportus!”
No such luck.
The door was still unlocked and she softly sighed. Beginner’s luck had seemed to work for her earlier. Working on her focus and intent, she tried again. “Colloportus!” Olivia grabbed the handle again and this time it was stuck. One locked box. “Alohomora!” she cast, opening it back up.
Hope decided she needed a little more practice. She saw a fellow student had decided to stay a little longer and practice. As she passed the girl to get a box of her own she smiled, "Hi IM Hope."
She grabbed a box and walked over to a corner. Sitting down she waved her wand and said assertively, "Alohomora!" Instantly, the box unlocked. Hope gave out a squeal. She had done it on the first try this time!
Closing even harder for her so she concentrated really hard. Waving her wand once again she said with some umph behind it, "Colloportus!". Nothing..
Hope shook her head and wiggled a little bit, she didn't know why, but it seemed to help her a little. She waved her wand again and concentrated REALLY hard. Saying a little louder this time, "Colloportus!"
Nothing again....
What in Merlin's Name?? Hope started getting frustrated. She needed to do this. Tilting her head to the side she shook herself. This time it would work. she told herself.
Doing it ONE more time she all but yelled out "Colloportus!!". The box locked!! Success!! she got up and jumped around doing a little victory dance. Then she remembered she was still in class. Her face turned bright red.
Selfish, yes, that was him. He was selfish enough to ignore the plights of others and conduct himself in a way that benefitted his interests over others. And yes sir, that included helping our girlfriend. Selfish. See?
Zeke semi-tuned out as the Professor rambled on about the feast thing (which he wasn't even present for) and then went on to discuss rules and learning and wanting to learn and blah blah blah.
Yes. Zeke Browne wanted to learn Charms, he did not however, want to sit and listen to a big fat load of NOTHING masked as some moral lesson thing. The Professor was losing him. Frankly he just hoped the lesson material would become more rigorous in the following days or else he might just have to teach himself, follow the textbook to a T.
As for practicing on more boxes, no thanks, we'll pass.
Pushing himself out of his seat, Zeke extended a hand to Maggie. "Shall we?" They had better things to do now, yes?
The professor was talking. A lot.
And Maggie hadn't written down a single word. Like. There really was nothing TO write down. Besides, she wasn't really paying that much attention. Something about the feast - which she hadn't even really been too so it didn't apply to her - and working as a team - which, hey, they'd totally done. So she still didn't really see the point of this lesson.
Instead of paying attention she'd been watching Zeke a little absently. He was definitely a lot more interesting to look at than the professor was.
All of a sudden the professor appeared to be done talking and Maggie was so ready to leave. Like, lol, no she had done enough Alohomora-ing for the whole week probably. No need. So she quickly put her things back into her bag, holstered her wand and accepted Zeke's hand when getting up. "Yes." She leaned up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Bye, Professor." She even wiggled her fingers at him and offered him a grin on the way out.

Now. They had some time before lunch.
He wasn't entirely sure why Maggie bothered unpacking in the first place, but it didn't stall their departure too much, so she was forgiven. Lacing their fingers together he beamed at her smile, pushing her chair under her desk for her as they moved out of their row toward the door.
"Have a good day, Professor," he farewelled with a head-nod, because this Gryffindor was going to have a GREAT day. Mmhmm.

"I decided to do this little test more to see if 1 you wanted to learn, 2 you would try even if not told what to do, 3 how you would act without a professor around, and 4 which of you would be leaders and which of you would prove to not care about being a team. Learning in my classroom is a group effort. We are a team while in this room, we will work as a team to learn and succeed. There is not one person in this room that can't learn, nor there isn't one person that is unable to learn. You all learn differently and I do understand that, but your ability to learn is always there. It is the willingness to learn that I wanted to make sure you had. I will not teach an unteachable child. There is no one that can't be taught if they want to learn. So if you are one of those people that do not want to learn the door is right there please do not come back."
He turned and went back up to the board and pointed to the words, "In my room we will use these three words as our rules, Be Respectful. You will always be respectful to yourself, others around you, the school property, and of course to your professors. I saw many disrespecting their elders at the feast and that will not be tolerated here. It distracts us from learning. You will be responsible. I am not your babysitter I am your teacher. You will work hard and remember your own books and material. Anyone forgetting anything will lose points. Lastly you will be safe. My room is a place to practice without worry of being harmed. There will be no goofing around, there will be no dueling, and there will be no unassigned spells used in this room." Where they all on the same page now? Could they move on?
"Now some of you felt this wasn't hard enough, you are correct it wasn't. That is okay though. It is not wrong to practice things you already know. It's your first class of term, think of it as a review. You haven't done spells since you left last term. So you freshened up." He grinned and moved back towards his desk picking up his parchment. "Now many of you showed great leadership in there. I have it written down and you will be getting five extra points for being a good leader. It is a great ability to be a leader and to stop and help instead of moving on just for yourself. The real successors of today are the ones that struggled with the spell and did not complete the rooms. This as all my class was not a race. It was to learn and to practice. The fact that they did not give up even if they couldn't do it. They didn't just have someone else do it, that is showing the great ability of wanting to learn, wanting to get better. Failing to them is not an option, that is the inspiration I hope to see in all of you." Bravo to that group of students.
"Now I have some boxes in the room if you would like to continue your practice, but we are running out of time for today. So the ones that are ready to leave and have no questions, you are welcome to leave. Anyone with questions or wanting extra practice feel free to stay and help yourself to a box."
ooc: I will be leaving this open for awhile for anyone who wants to play and practice, but we are done for anyone who would like to be done Julien is not usually that long winded.. Sorry..
Having made it to the final room at long last, Tia was pleasantly surprised to see that the professor had been watching them all along. She actually found it very intriguing as his first lesson of the term to be a test of sort. She didn't have difficulty with the spells, being a seventh year and all and the fact that these were fairly basic spells. However she also did not complete the second room but because of her willingness to be patient and lead others and help them along. That is what he wanted, it seemed, so she did well in that aspect.
Practice. She didn't need practice herself, but she lingered anyway, as she glanced around the room to see if anyone else needed assistance. Because even though the professor was here to help them now, she still felt obligated to assist.
"Thank you, Professor, for the opportunity to see other aspects of learning magic besides just knowing spells." Because he was right; magic took more than just knowledge. Even as a Ravenclaw, she knew there was more to it than just knowing.

Respect, responsibility, safety. Right. David had been hoping for more than one of his mum's lectures from this lesson, though. This whole process seemed a bit long-winded to teach them all something their parents should have done years ago, eh? Still, he wasn't going to be disrespectful to his new professor, so he shrugged it off and stood up to go, his boxes still in hand.
"We're not going to do anything else with these, sir?" he asked the professor about the boxes, pausing by him on his way out.

Sooooooooooo they could leave if they wanted to? Mel looked around after a while and grinned. SHE DID try really hard in class – she would just have to ask about those gecko-feet-hand-shoe-glove-things…they seemed cool and maybe just maybe useful. Yes. Useful.
The Gryffindor girl stood up from her seat and smiled. Respect. Responsibility. Safety…riiiiiiiight those had something to do with climbing a wall with sticky feet and hands like a sneaky little thief? She cocked her head at the words and shrugged.
“Professor thank you for the lesson” she smiled even though she had deflated a bit at the fact that she hadn’t succeeded at the last room. Uncle Professor? She eyed Tory for a moment and glanced back at the Professor….ooooooooh SO TORY WAS A PRIMEAUX? Mel’s wide eyed staring was more because SHE was friends with the PROFESSORS nephew. That was cool. “I want to try and work on my leading skills” Mel huffed out and smiled. “Thank you again Professor” she nodded and looked around for Marsha or someone to talk to. She did pause as she heard David’s question…the boxes? Were they important? THAT WOULD BE INTERESTING.

Julien watched as more students left, but some stayed. This was what he wanted. He wanted them to learn on their own time and at their own pace. Once that had it down didn't need to be around any longer, but the ones that needed help could get it. "Very good. Keep saying it very clear and confident and you will have no problem in the future." He was glad to see the first years trying so hard. They seemed to be a very bright group of children. Thankfully there was some hope around.

"Very good, your effort will all be rewarded in time. Keep up the determination and soon you will see it was worth it." All they needed was practice and encouragement. As long as they wanted to learn he would help them and guide them.

"It's always good to see students taking it upon themselves to stay and help the younger students. Very good." He was very happy about that. He turned and noticed the Head Girl still standing around as well, "Here to help too? I think Olivia is getting it pretty well, but she might want some help from someone in her own house." Some rather have peer help then professor he had come to find in his years of teaching.
Kay was surprised that after all of that, the class is over. She decided to practice the spells a little more, so she grabbed a box and brought it back to her desk. She pulled out her wand and pointed it at the box, and kept switching between "Alohomora!" and "Colloportus" a few times before she was pretty sure that she mastered both spells.
When she was done, she placed the box back where it belong. Her blue eyes swept along the room watching the other students who where still practcing. She would offer to help, but she wasn't sure if anyone would want help from a little 1st year. may be if she the said something out loud? "Ummm Does anyone need any help?" she asked softly
While she waited for anyone to reply back, she suddenly remembered what she wanted to ask the professor. She walked up to the sightly intimidating man. "Excuse me, Professor Primeaux, She said softly "Will that climbing area be accessible after class? It was really fun.
This had been a fun class that wasn't a regular class. Jaemin fidgeted a little before approaching the professor; since he was already here, he could maybe ask the professor about the thing he wanted to know!
"Sir?" he stretched up on his tiptoes unconsciously as he stopped in front of him. "Can I ask about spells we didn't learn today? Or should I wait to ask until some other time?"
It seemed that at least one student was wanting to practice and Julien moved towards her as she asked a question.
Haddie nodded and repositioned her grip on her wand, so that it was firmer but still a natural grip on it. As she did the box she was trying to relock and keep locked, unlocked itself.
Okay, you can do this Haddie, she told herself. Aiming her wand at the box that just unlocked itself, she gave it a wave, "Colloportus!" She made sure to say it as clearly as she could. The box locked itself with the tell-tale click. Only time would tell if it stayed the way.
She ignored the other box for now, the one she'd successful cast colloportus on, but was now having trouble countering it with Alohomora. Focusing on one issue at a time was probably the better option anyway.
CLICK! The box unlocked itself about five minutes later. Haddie sighed. "At least it's starting to take longer to revert back?" She said to Mr. Primeaux, managing to turn the statement into a hopeful question.
Katherine didn't react in the slightest when Tory sat next to her. She still felt dead, so she didn't even hear his comment about her shoes - which should concern Tory if he was that type of a nice person who only had a 'friendly' rivalry with people. She did, however, remove them off the table when the professor told them to. She would wear them later. For now, she just wanted to listen to the explanation Professor would offer them.
...
If there was one thing Katherine absolutely hated, it was injustice. And right now, she was subject to the worst injustice of her short life. The notion that he was going to award older students five EXTRA points was so SO ABSURD, because it relegated being a first year to being inferior, like they didn't deserve any extra points for trying, like their birth date was something they could control. What he meant was that being older and therefore knowing how to cast a simple spell deserved special care. This had nothing to do with 'team work' or whatever. Team work was helping those who struggled; but the first years didn't even struggle, for they hadn't learnt anything to even fail at in the first place. She didn't even listen to the rest of his speech, nor did she even consider sharing her concerns. It would just land her in more trouble. No sir, once the professor dismissed them, she silently and calmly changed back into her own shoes and got her bag to walk out without offering Tory and the professor even a look.

Carl was there in the final room, listening to Professor Primeaux's words. He had his quill and parchment out, prepared to take notes, but soon realized that there was no need as the Professor was mainly talking about rules and attitudes. Not that they were not important, though.
When the class was over, Carl dawdled a bit, then decided to stay and practice. He knew he would have many chances in the future to practice the charms, but this time the Professor was present and he would be able to ask questions if he needed help.
After grabbing a box and placing it on his desk, he took out his wand and pointed it at the lock of the box. "Alohomora!" He said clearly and firmly. The box unlocked for him, much to his delight. "Colloportus!" He said this time, but the box remained unlocked. He then heard what the Professor said to a Ravenclaw about concentration and determination. Right.
He tried to block out everybody and everything around him and focused on the box he was trying to lock. Tightening his grip on his wand, he cleared his throat and repeated, "Colloportus." The box locked itself with a satisfying click.
Arista's mouth almost dropped. That was it? They were free done?

Hope smiled at Arista as she completed the spell. She did a little dance for Arista. giving her a big smile. "I did it!! It's getting a little easier, It's just locking it gets me... Its a little harder."
She gave her friend a hug. She didn't really know why. She guessed it was cuz she was happy she had done it again.

He watched a little longer as some of the younger students kept practicing. "Very good. You will all keep getting better and better at these as long as you keep working." He was sure of that. They were so determined to succeed. It was going to go very well for them.
Looking at the young man who asked a question Julien gave a small rare smile, "I will be teaching you many charms and you are always welcome to ask about others. My office hours are up on the notice boards and you are always welcome to pop over and ask whatever questions you might have." Today's lesson was just for these two charms and getting to know each other though. There was plenty of time for questions. School had just begun.
Looking at his watch he moved away from his desk. "Alright everyone, our time together is done for now. Thank you for staying and practicing. Please feel free to take your boxes with you and practice outside of class."
