Once you have gotten your number code correct and the door has let you through. The first thing you might notice is the room is super low. So low you might have to duck down or crawl to get in. Looking up there are little trap door all of course locked. Clear at the front of the room are more directions for you to follow.

Place them on and climb the wall to retrieve one of the many smaller boxes flying around. They will come to you with a small whistle. They will not come with accio so don't even try. Once you have the box carefully go back down and take off the sticky gloves and shoes. The floor is charmed so no you can't fall to your death or even get hurt. You will need to unlock the box to retrieve the letters to get through your final door into our classroom.
Good Luck
OOC: Just as the directions say you will RP doing the steps, minimum of five to get through each step. Again there is no time limit for now so please have fun and don't feel rushed.
NOTE: If you have not been quoted in Room 1 with a link to this room please do not post here yet. I will delete the post. If you haven't started in room 1 that is okay, go have fun, do room 1! You are not too late or too far behind. I PROMISE!!
There comes a time where things do need to wrap up! I would like to move on Tuesday, January 12. So I will be closing room 1 and 2 at that point. You will have until Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST to finish up on any of your post! Once these are closed it will be said that door have opened for your character to just go straight to the classroom! Remember it is okay if your character did not get all the way through!!

The ground really did seem to absorb her impact... the professor had been right about them not getting hurt. After catching her breath, Dot shifted slowly to her feet. Her arms were a little scratched, but the box still looked pristine, in spite of the fall. It took some maneuvering to get the gloves and shoes off, especially with the gloves SO keen to keep sticking to the box and each other, but once they were, Dot tossed them away like they were infected with dragonpox.
Ew.
"Alohomora," Dot had her wand out for the incantation in a flash, hoping that once her box opened and she had the password, she could be DONE. No more wall climbing in yucky gloves, please.

Looking into the box, Esme saw the letters R, O, A, D and smiled. This was going to be easier to remember than the numbers - and they had been incredibly simple. She didn't even have to go over them in her head a few times, because she knew very well how to spell road. She knew how to spell that word since she was very little.
Walking over to the door, she stopped in front of it. "R-O-A-D." She spoke each letter clearly and stepped through the door when it opened.

Arista grimaced she had no clue how to whistle how did the Professor expect her to do this!!? Sighing she started her ascent a bit higher up the wall maybe this time she would come back down with a box instead of coming back down the wall with a slam of her against the wall.
Okay now whistle, just blow air through the lips right??
WRONG!!
Trying a few more times she puckered her lips and blew. UGH!! It still wasn't working how in the hell was she supposed to be able to get the box if she couldn't whistle? Suddenly she remembered the keys she always kept in her robes, the keys to her house which coincidentally had a whistle. Now normally it wasn't used to attract the attention of a box, normally it was used to attract people.
Without hesitation she gave a huge blow through the whistle and smiled as she saw a box inched its way closer to the redhead holding for dear life on the wall. She gave the whistle another blow and this time the box made it all the way over to her. Arista greedily grabbed the box with one hand.
Not wanting to be up on the wall another minute she begin climbing down. After only a minute of struggling to make it down the wall Arista had decided there was only one thing left to do. Jump off the stupid wall, after all the Professor did say the floor couldn't hurt them. So with that the redhead jumped off the wall and onto the ground.
It took him longer than anticipated to get his gloves and shoes on, mostly because he took an abnormally long time examining each object before putting it on. He wanted to know how exactly it worked, and he was making a mental note to investigate further later.
For now, he holstered his wand before putting the gloves on, and once they were on, he rose to his feet and gave a hard look to the wall. It did not appear to be a difficult climb judging by the others, and Callum hesitated no further - he approached the wall, placing one hand on, then the other higher, then carefully tried lifting himself upward, his feet coming into play, and began a slow, steady climb. It took him a few feet to get his bearings, but it was not long until he was moving a bit catlike up the wall, a huge smile on his face as he climbed.
This was actually really fun.
When he reached the height of the flying boxes, Callum peeked behind him to watch their flight patterns curiously, wondering just what kind of magic made these fly in the first place, and cleared his throat purposefully. He was going to have to remove a hand from the wall to catch the box, which should not have been as difficult as it sounded, he reckoned, as he had one limb off the wall during his entire climb thus far. So. Should have been a piece of cake.
He confidently gave a short whistle, a full, content smile gracing his features as a box made its way toward him.

Arista hadn't expected the ground to be soo so... Nice? It hadn't hurt the girl at all. Not one bit. So maybe the Professor had been right, of course she hadn't been concerned about this when she had jumped but once she was falling the unfamiliar feeling of fear set in. The sixth year got onto her feet and straightened out her skirt and the rest of her robes. Thankfully the box was still safe in her arms where it had been before she jumped. As soon as the Gryffindor was on her feet she threw the gloves and shoes off glaring at them. She officially hated the pair and would be okay if she never saw them again.
Arista had her wand out of her pocket in what seemed like two second and was quickly performing the spell. "Alohomora Now she was done right, nothing left to do please?

Carl familiarized himself with the directions quickly. It was pretty easy, at least he did not have to learn more charms. He just had to use the unlocking charm, which he had practiced in the first room. As for climbing the wall and retrieving the small box … well, he could cope with his Muggle skills. After mentally taking notes of all steps, he crawled painfully back down the room and stopped underneath a trap door.
The first challenge he faced was getting a good aim at the lock. Carl stuck his wand up, but ended up poking the door and that was no good if the door swung open in his direction. So fumbling around a little, he lay down on his back on the floor and pointed his wand at the lock. "Alohomora." Hmmm, nothing happened. "Alohomora," he repeated more clearly. This time, the spell worked. He heard the usual click and pulled open the door.
He stood up again and headed up to the room with all the flying boxes. Immediately, the Hufflepuff spotted the sticky gloves and shoes, though admittedly, they looked normal enough at first sight. He put them on and placed his hands hesitantly on the walls. Hey, they were sticky!
"I'll be fine.......just a little smaller in here than I was hoping." Like way too small. She should pretty much always be able to stand up. Following people, ....okay. She took a moment to read the directions as she leaned against Henric. Climbing was involved....she could do that. She smiled weakly at Bella, hopefully his pep talk would help her. He crawled forward to open his door and Ilia did her best to sit by the girl. She picked the two closest doors to them and aimed her wand. This was awkward feeling, she really hated not having full motion. It sort of reminded her of......the feeling of eight hairy legs and a set of pinchers, holding her down. She shut her eyes and took a few deep breaths, doing her best to refocus. "Okay, it'll be better up there." She wasn't sure if she was saying it more for Bella or herself really. "Alohomora." There was one for herself. She now aimed at the one above them. "Alohomora." There we go, it should be roomier right?
Henric glanced behind ever so often to make sure llia was alright. He was worried if she couldn't go on any further. He reached down for her hand and pulled her up."Yeah...I feel really squished now...urgh..." He winced, feeling uncomfortable now that his whole body stuck in between two walls. But they were going to get out of here soon enough!
He quickly swung open the door on top of him once he had unlocked it and climbed up. Merlin...he felt like mission impossible going through the narrow space. What were they training for? Nevermind that now, Henric noticed the boxes with wings flying above them. Wait... they had to catch one of them?! How...troublesome. He wondered if he could use Infinite Incantatum or immobulus to stop them all. "Girls, I think we need to climb up using the gloves and shoes they've provided." They weren't afraid of heights right?
As the box flew toward him obediently, Callum tried to keep his body twisted to reach out and grab it, but it was largely uncomfortable with his right arm extended, so he ended up switching out arms and extending with his left, dominant arm instead and successfully snatching up the box as it came within arm's reach. He gave it a hard look of scrutiny, examining it from all angles before pocketing it deep within his robe pocket and starting his descent on the wall, his movements as methodical and fluid as they had been on the descent upward.
Could he keep these sticky shoes and gloves? They were pretty wicked. Maybe he and Char could get their own and scale the astronomy tower or something. That would have been loads of fun.
When he got close enough to the bottom, Callum leaped from the wall and landed with a thump! of his feet smacking the ground, then he hurried off to sit back down by his shoes and switch them out with the sticky ones. As he did so, he watched a few of the others nearby who were going throughout the process and noted how much fun most of the others were having. It was nice to see that so many people had a thirst for adventure and fun activity like this, and this mere thought, too, made the Gryffindor smile.

Now that she had the shoes and gloves on, Brooklyn double-checked that her bag was safe stowed near the wall before she tested the wall itself. She wasn’t about to climb if it felt like her equipment was faulty in any way. She didn’t fall, and she wasn’t planning on changing that any time soon. She didn’t start climbing until that was made sure of, trying to be as nimble as she could. Ballet only helped a little, since the movement was completely different. Jumping off of Frankie’s shoulders was closer to what she knew than this was, but that wasn’t going to stop her. She was determined, and she was stubborn. She just kept climbing until she reached a point just shy of the boxes.
Others had whistled, and she thought for a moment before she decided it wouldn’t hurt to try that. Obviously she couldn’t have used her violin even if she’d had it with her. She wasn’t letting go of the wall until she had to, so whistling was going to have to suffice. After a moment or two, a soft whistle sounded and she pulled a hand away from the wall long enough to snag the box that traveled the closest to her. All that was left was finding her way back to the ground.

Soon enough, the fun of discovering sticky gloves and shoes was gone. Carl was only a step away from the ground, but having his hands and feet stuck firmly to the wall was not as entertaining as it appeared. He looked up at the ceiling, which seemed extremely far away now, and took a deep breath. He could do this. The climb would not be very hard.
Carl slowly unstuck one hand from the wall and moved it up. This felt strange because he was tilted to the side. He continued by moving one foot up a step too. Before he could frighten himself to imagining falling down to the floor, he shifted his other hand and foot so that he was no longer lopsided. Okay, so he had managed one step. 999 more to go.
He repeated the process and gradually made his way up.

Somehow managing to shove the box into her robe pocket, although detaching it from the glove proved awkward, Brooklyn had clung to the wall again after another moment. She wasn’t about to try and descend without having both hands on the wall, and that had meant figuring out what else she could do with the box. Now that it was safely in her pocket, she could focus on getting back to the ground. Without looking down, since she refused to worry about people seeing her get scared again. Not after the yearbook thing. She had a reputation to maintain, or maybe rebuild. She wasn’t weak, not at all.
Focusing on that phrase as she repeated it in her head, she slowly descended, ignoring the protests from her limbs over being forced to do things they weren’t used to. She needed to get back to her practice. That’s all the burning feeling meant. Once she had free time, she was going to locate somewhere she could practice ballet. There was always the RoR, and she could bring her violin there too.
Once her feet touched the ground, she let out a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding. She made her way over to her bag, peeling the gloves off as she walked and removing the sticky shoes once she sat down. Sliding her own shoes back on, she pulled the box from her pocket and eyed it. Now to get it open and move on.
Flicking her hand and readying her wand, she pointed it at the small lock. “Alohomora!” An S movement and a click later, and she flipped open the lid to look for the slip of paper she knew would be inside. Hopefully this code wouldn’t be nonsense.

The door opened, Ilia watched as Henric entered, but....he bent over.....were they crawling? The ceiling was low he called back, and she frowned as she watched him. That was NOT something she wanted to do or deal with.....Opening the door, she slowly hunched down and followed VERY close to Henric. Her hand was on his back as she was as close against him as she could manage while she thought they still might be able to move. Don't leave her back here Henric, she did NOT like not being able to stand up straight. This was probably the first time in their relationship that she had truly clung to him, in this case like a cat holding a tree branch and trying to not let water touch it.... Could they still move as she clung to his side?
When Ilia finally turned to look up at her boyfriends face, a little paler than she normally was, she also saw a little girl leaning against him. First year? Wait, that girl looked a bit familiar. The one with the kitten on the train? "Bella?" She asked uncertainly. She wasn't able to see the girl well at her angle, but she thought she was right.

He wondered why. For now, he made sure to keep himself close to her. "We're just going to follow the others, alright..."he reassured her.
Then, another little girl suddenly bumped into. Her look was even more paler than his girlfriend. Oh dear... and it seemed llia knew her too! Bella, was her name? "Hey there, its going to be okay...Professor Primeaux is just testing us...nothing is going to harm you, we have to keep on moving,"his positivity beaming, hoping it gave them a little courage. Henric got up onto all fours and crawled ahead. He noticed several doors above their heads. Henric reached for the knobs but it didn't budge. He knew it. "We need to unlock these doors first, ALOHOMORA!"

At this point, she was a little worried that she wouldn’t be able to do the spell, but when Ilia did the spell for her she was very much relieved. “Thanks!”

At least this room left more opportunity for the work to be 50/50 but wall climbing was about as fun as anything around this place could get and he wouldn't take that from Bentley if he REALLY wanted to give it a try.
Just to be safe, Blaise scooted further away, giving his cousin full range to cast.

Carl twisted around and grinned when he realized that he was almost level with the flying boxes. He thought back to the directions on the board. How was he supposed to get the box again? Oh right, whistle. He fixed his gaze on the box nearest him and whistled.
It flew close to him, but now he had another problem. He had to stay on the wall and grab the box. He would definitely fall back down to the ground if his hands were away from the wall. But then, Carl remembered that the floor is charmed and he could not get hurt. Hmmm.
Cautiously, he turned his whole body so that he was facing outwards and not the wall, then jumped onto his box. He was falling, falling and then - whoosh! He was on the floor and he was safe! And he had his box!
Henric glanced behind ever so often to make sure llia was alright. He was worried if she couldn't go on any further. Henric holding her hand somewhat pulled her world back together, though she still had that itching sensation like she had spider hair on her.....He felt squished, that was only the half of it. Although Henric was bigger than her, so it was probably a lot harder.
Henric went up and through , hopefully into what she presumed to be a bigger space. She thought it would have to be given what the instructions said. He called to them and she decided it was time to climb.

She looked over to make sure Bella was some form of okay and saw that her way was open. Okay, good. "Up we go then." She pushed her door open and climbed up next to Henric. A little more space, thank Odin! She straightened her clothes and smiled a him, a little more color returned to her face. She looked at the gloves and shoes then nodded. "I think you are right. Lets get to it." She liked climbing, this was already a hundred times better.

This was total pain. His shoes were defective, it was big pain but it didn't stop Torrance from climbing the wall. He arches his butt out and planted his feet on the wall. They wouldn't stick, but hopefully he would be distributing his lack of weight to his lower body to help as he took to climbing with his sticky gloves. So what if he fell right? His Uncle wouldn't let that happen. If he fell Uncle Julien would have set up some precautions to prevent his Favorite Nephew's demise.

OOooooh, so there was another room. Except it was tiny. And Brian was getting pretty tall and this was very unfortunate and very uncomfortable, walking half-bent so his head didn't bang violently against the ceiling. So getting onto his hands and knees, he crawled around somewhat aimlessly. What were they supposed to do in here?
A little later, he was close enough to the front of the room to see writing (on a wall?) so he sat down on the floor to read the instructions they'd been given. Oh. Okay, then. Looking up, he found the trapdoors just as they had been told. Pointing his wand at the ceiling, he muttered an "Alohomora" and grinned especially wide when the door sprung open. Three in a row. He was really on a roll today.
Maybe it was the confidence? Did that help? It sure seemed to.
Henric helped llia up and quickly searched for any signs of scratches on her pretty hands and face. He sighed with relief when there was none he saw that would need immediate attention. What? He was getting worried for her alright!
Henric reached for the first year hand next as well so he could pull her out from there too. "Bella, right? I'm Henric. Are you alright? Will you be able to climb the walls?" Henric asked, concern etched across his face.
Anyway, it was better here than down there. At least there was more room to breathe easily now. It was going to be fine from here on out right? He sincerely hope so. Hmm... he wished to talk to his girlfriend soon about her little ordeal down at the rabbit hole. It wasn't like llia at all to be suddenly afraid of tight spaces. Right, he could ask about it later...now it was time to put on their gloves and shoes. "llia, why don't you go on up first, then Bella next. I'll be right behind you guys if anything happens," Henric suggested. He paid more attention for their safety than the obstacle itself really. He knew llia was a great climber but he was still her number one concerned boyfriend. So up you go girls. He wouldn't move an inch until he was sure they were both climbing the walls safely like spiderman.

As she got higher and higher, Scarlett was starting to wonder just how she was going to end up getting this silly box out of the air. When she thought she was close enough to one of the boxes, she reached out...and to her dismay, her fingers were JUST close enough to brush the edge but she just couldn't grab it. Well, not without shooting herself off the wall like a frog and then falling to her doom below!
She looked around and spotted one floating just a few more feet above her, and it was a bit closer. THAT she should be able to reach! She put both her hands on the wall again and slowly scaled a bit higher, and a few moments later, she was RIGHT underneath the box. She reached up and was able to grab the edge of the box and pull it towards her. Success!
It wasn't until she grabbed it, however, that she remembered that the instructions had said the box would come to her with a whistle. So she COULD have gotten the box that was lower, if she'd just remembered that! Nice job, Scarlett. She sighed and rolled her eyes at herself - but oh well. No use crying over split milk...
Now...how did she climb DOWN while carrying it??

Bentley read the instructions once, then twice. Okay, he supposed he got what it was saying...open the door over head then they'd have to get another box then open that box for another code.
This class sure had a lot of codes...too many codes.
"Yeah we'll just continue like we were all along. I'm the brain and you're the muscles." Bentley chuckled to himself as he pointed his wand at the door.
"Alohomora!"
His green eyes flicked to his cousin.
"You're up monkey man."

Blaise might have told Bentley it didn't take brains to open a door with magic but at this point he didn't care. The plan sounded good enough and if he was honest he was kinda hoping he'd be the one to climb the wall for that box. The fact the Professor said 'accio' wouldn't work didn't bother him; he didn't know how to cast it anyway...it just...wasn't that serious.
"Alright let's go." He said, pulling himself up into the next room then stepping aside for his cousin to do the same.
It took just a bit of searching for him to find the shoes and gloves the man was obviously referring to at which point he slipped them on and sized up the wall. "We'll get that box over there. It's flying close enough to the wall. If nothing else I'll jump at it then fall." The instructions said he wouldn't fall to his death OR get hurt. There was no need for caution when there was obviously some magic at work. "Okay, here I go."
The boy slapped one hand against the wall, then the other and up he want--practically as agile as a monkey, how accurate Bentley.

Bentley did as Blaise had done only moments before and pulled himself up into the next room. All this climbing and crawling was sure to reward him with some muscles.
He straightened his uniform shirt out as he watched where Blaise was pointing. Well it certainly seemed easy enough. Though he found himself wondering what Charm the man had used that would prevent accio from summoning the box to them.
"Alright, lets see if you're any good at climbing."

In truth, Blaise wasn't as great at climbing as his cousin who'd grown up on an island with a ton of trees but this was a wall and he had sticky gloves, how bad could it be? Answer; not that bad. In no time at all, the small boy was closer to the ceiling of the room with the box he'd had in mind still relatively close by. He wouldn't call this his lucky day but at least this wasn't proving to be a pain.
Just...a little ...more....
Blaise reached forward, stretching to grab at the floating little thing. The Gryffindor glanced down for a moment, trying to judge the distance. In the back of his mind he was still very much aware he wouldn't get hurt but first he had to see if he could reach.
Finally, it swooped in a little closer to him, as if inviting him into the air and THAT was when the boy pried his limbs off the wall and lunged. Mid-air, Blaise latched onto the box and promptly found himself plummeting to the floor.
THUD!
"....................I'm okay." Not dead. Just like the instructions said. "Here mate." The box was aaaall his to unlocked. He'd just....lay here...a little longer...
What a rush!
