Once you have gotten your number code correct and the door has let you through. The first thing you might notice is the room is super low. So low you might have to duck down or crawl to get in. Looking up there are little trap door all of course locked. Clear at the front of the room are more directions for you to follow.

OOC: Just as the directions say you will RP doing the steps, minimum of five to get through each step. Again there is no time limit for now so please have fun and don't feel rushed.
NOTE: If you have not been quoted in Room 1 with a link to this room please do not post here yet. I will delete the post. If you haven't started in room 1 that is okay, go have fun, do room 1! You are not too late or too far behind. I PROMISE!!
There comes a time where things do need to wrap up! I would like to move on Tuesday, January 12. So I will be closing room 1 and 2 at that point. You will have until Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST to finish up on any of your post! Once these are closed it will be said that door have opened for your character to just go straight to the classroom! Remember it is okay if your character did not get all the way through!!

She'd made it to the next room! Scarlett was extremely proud of herself - and also nervous because who knew what was waiting for her behind this next door. Predictably, she had to open it with Alohomora again. She'd done it twice already - she could do it again, right?? How much would that suck to get this far and then not be able to do it again?? EEP!
She approached the door and steadied her wand towards the lock once more. She took a deep breath and tried not to think about what would happen if she failed. Big deep breath. Big breath. "Alohomora!" she exclaimed, pointing at the lock with her wand. The door didn't open, but the lock did jiggle a fair bit, which gave her confidence. She grinned and with newfound vigor muttered "Alohomora!" once again. BOOM! The lock was open and Scarlett could move on to the next task.

Kay gulped at the"tricky part"..... 'That can't be good.' They had to open up a trap door on the ceiling.... oh dear. The curly haired girl watched as Austin went on his back. Kay took a deep breath, and let it out, and repeated the little calming exercise before coping the older boy's action.
She kept her eyes close tight has she was lying on the floor. She wiped her sweaty hand on her robes before grabbing her wand from the pocket. "I can do this. I can do this." she whispered to herself, before she quickly opened her eyes and pointed at the door and said "Alohomora" before quickly closing her eyes again She breathed a sigh of relieved when she heard the click of the door unlocking. She turned towards Austin and opened her eyes. "I did it." she said smiling.
"Hey! Congrats! See, every fear can be conquered. Even if it's just a small accomplishment." He flashed her a smile. Today was all about helping, apparently. Helping and teaching. Maybe he should pursue the career of teaching. Maybe a potions professor? Who knew.
Climbing up through his own door, he reached down and helped up Kaylee. She was small, so lifting her wasn't a problem. Plus, she should feel more comfortable in the open space. "Now, from what I remember, we have to climb the walls." Looking around he saw Azura on one of the walls. Hopefully she was doing alright. But if not, there was nothing he could do on the ground.
"I hope you're not afraid of heights." He chuckled, but it was the truth. He wasn't sure what he could do in the air. But he was sure to think of something. Bending down next to his door, he began to put on the sticky shoes. Once he had both that and the gloves he looked over to Kaylee. "Ready?"

Azura was seriously thinking of just slipping out of the sticky shoes and falling back down to the ground.. But the instructions had said that she needed to put the shoes and the gloves back
She whimpered.. still crying as she looked down.. There was Austin down there! She breathed a slight sigh of relief as she saw him.. before she turned to look at the other girl who seemed like she was having no issues at all climbing!
"I.. think so.. Thanks." NO She was not all right.. but how would anyone help her get down.. that was sort of up to her wasn't it?
She sniffled a little as she held the box tightly in one hand while clinging to the wall with another..
Merlin help her.. she was going to fall!!
She could feel her weight pulling at the gloves and her shaking arm couldn't take the strain, her tired and sore feet scrabbled at the wall a bit, attempting to get a better foothold!! But that small slip was a bit too much for her and her weary body and she fell off the wall!!
ACK!!
RAVENCLAW DOWN!!!
"EEEEEEE!!!!!"
Azura flailed as she fell downwards, still holding onto the box tightly as she landed with a thump on the floor!
She lay there for a moment, purple eyes staring upwards.. as she tried to get her bearings.. the floor she landed on was soft! But still made sort of an impact! She wasn't dead!
Oh thank Merlin..
And the box???
Safe!! on top of her!!
Thank Merlin again!! She lay her head back down, catching her breath a bit..

Somehow he had taken for granted the art of whistling, assuming that everyone was capable of it. So when Maggie shook her head, he was curious. He'd have to do it for her? "I can manage that," he agreed, giving her a low wolf-whistle to demonstrate his skills. She had a great boyfriend, so accommodating and skilful he was.
He didn't need her prompting, but extended his hand to take hers when it was offered... only... it was taken back, and for a moment he was perplexed.
...
And then it made sense.
Gloves. Right.
"Let's do it," he beamed, stepping away from the trapdoor to the wall. The shoes. The shoes felt weird.
One hand on the wall, Zeke tested the grip. It WAS sticky. Like, sticky sticky. Next he placed his foot against the wall on an angle, and the next, and with his last hand meeting the surface he started the pull himself up. One step after the other. He peered over to Maggie, making sure she was alright and managing.
Zeke pls.
Maggie rolled her eyes but giggled when he showed her his whistling skills. "I'm glad I'm letting you stick around." Heh. She poked his chest softly, before walking past him with a smirk. If only she was wearing proper shoes. Like, it would have looked a lot cooler then. As it were though she still tried to look as graceful as possible. Totally working mhm.
If you were into slow-motion walking.
She, too, placed her gloved palm against the wall, then quickly let her second hand follow. Weird. Very weird. What was even weirder was when she added her feet. Like. The metaphor of being a fly on the wall appealed to her occasionally but this was like the real thing. And nope, she did NOT like this fly thing. Which was clearly written all over her face when Zeke turned around.
Meh.
Following him up the wall, though, Maggie kept thinking over the logistics of this exercise. Like. If she had to hold that box with two hands how was she supposed to climb back down. So it would have to be one hand. Even CATCHING it with one hand because otherwise she'd be hanging upside down from the ceiling. And once again...she was wearing a skirt.

Ariadne had been so excited about gaining access to the second room, that she forgot to actually prepare herself for what might be there. She almost banged her head against the super low ceiling, but thankfully she stopped just in time. She got down on her hands and knees and began to crawl.
Ugh. It was a good thing she didn't have claustrophobia.
She did happen to notice little trap doors above her. She didn't know what she had to do just yet, but she'd guess she had to unlock one of those doors. She crawled a few steps further before finding the directions and pausing to read them.
Whoa. That sounded equally scary and exciting all at the same time! At least the first step was casting Alohomora. She'd aced that one by now! Ariadne crawled directly underneath a trap door and, knowing how super low the ceiling was, she decided to lie down on her back to get the best aim. Once she was settled, she aimed her wand toward the lock on the door. "ALOHOMORA!" she called out. She whipped her wand around into a backwards S motion.
With a clicking sound, the trap door was now unlocked.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Rachel was about halfway up the wall making her way towards a box when she paused to catch her breath. Climbing walls was no easy feat even with the boots and gloves to assist her. She turned her head to look at the progress of her peers. Some of them had just began their ascent like her.
She took a deep breath before continuing on. Twice she had to pause to pause to catch her breath and she wondered how in the name of Beast's great big library Spiderman managed this. "First point, Rachel. He is much stronger than you are. Secondly, you were not bitten by a radioactive spider.'' With a huff and a puff she was on her way again until...
She made it! Now to whistle. Rachel was not good at that and it took her quite a few tries to get the piercing sounds from her lips but when she did, the box zoomed towards her which she secured under her right arm.
Rachel began her descent but was brought to a halt a few paces down by a shout. "Azura!'' She watched helplessly as her friend tumbled to the ground. She actually thought her heart had stopped beating due to fright but then remembered that the ground was protected for this exact reason. "Are you alright?" the girl called down.
Wand in her hand Mel made her way into the second room and immediately frowned at the height. She STILL was short but this room made her feel taller but it was a lie. Everything was a LIE really huffing she made her way through the room and looked up at the ceiling.
Pointing her wand at the door above her head and making the backwards S motion “ALOHAMORA” she cast and heard the distinctive CLICK of the door unlocking before testing it and pulling herself into the room.

Stupid task this was.
Two birds, one whistle. He could tell her she was HOT, and he could show he meant business. It had been a win-win, and he liked those. "You and me both," he grinned, looking a little smug with himself at her chest-poke. For a moment he had hoped her glove would stick her right there permanently, but sadly that wasn't the case.
The gloves were quite good, and he supposed there was no real way to climb the wall without them. It wasn't your average street wall in that sense, was it? Nevertheless, he kept his eye on Maggie as they ascended, she didn't seem okay with this at all, but she was a trooper, and he could appreciate that much.
And here they were... at the top. Curiosity killing the cat and all, Zeke looked down to the floor to see how high they were. It wasn't all that high in the grand scheme of things.
"Hope you're ready," he warned, angling his body slightly so he was able to look away from the wall and at the boxes flying about. One hand was removed from the wall, tasked with catching the item, the rest were there to keep him steady.

Blaise rubbed at his head, wishing he'd have taken more caution in getting through that darn door and now he had a headache to show for it; strike two against the Charms man that thought leaving them alone and commanding them to do spells was the best way to make them 'learn'. Much like last year, he found his resentment toward the subject growing and hardly saw himself coming to another one of these....lessons.
Surely the elves had better use of his company down in the kitchen than this.
"Watch your head." He warned, deciding it might have benefitted him more to crawl.
"Hey look, the instructions." Brown eyes glanced over what they had to do next but the more he read was the deeper his scowl appeared. Couldn't they...leave? Like Daxton had done? It'd been a few times that he and the boy skipped classes together; fun times.

Post 2 - Climbing through & putting on gloves and shoes
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
With the door open, Olivia was free to move on with the steps they had to complete with this new task. She climbed through it and took in the new sights. The directions had mentioned sticky shoes and gloves and there they were easy to spot so the Ravenclaw proceeded to follow along. Her school shoes for the climbing shoes, the gloves slipped onto her bare hands. Once properly outfitted, she eyes the wall they were to climb as well as the flying boxes she would have to contend with to get her one.
Good thing she wasn’t afraid of heights any more than she was afraid of small spaces.
Good luck to any students that were one or both, the sounds from one of her fellow students earlier had alerted her to a possibility though they were already being helped. As for her, Olivia tested her right glove to the wall. Sticky was right!
So now they were in a little room clearly designed for pixies or hobbits or goblins Daxton ought to feel right at home and they had to go.... somewhere else? Huh. Well first years and second years had a right advantage here, didn't they? Lucky them. He only ducked a little as he headed in.
Glancing over at his partner in crime for now, and Kettleburns DID make excellent PiC, Davie headed toward the end of the room where several students seemed to be converging. "Do you see any directions?" There were bound to be some, eh.
Oh... well, now. If this room's set-up was supposed to make Callum feel better about having come back to class, it was doing a terrible job of it. Sure, it helped that he was already small, so he only had to duck a bit like Davie did, but it was an undesirable predicament.
Following the Ravenclaw, Callum noticed the trap doors upon the ceiling first and foremost, and he lifted a hand to point at the instructions. "There," he nodded, approaching them alongside Davie, and read them over with furrowed eyebrows. So they had to... open a trap door, go up and put on sticky shoes and gloves, snatch a flying box, bring it back down, open it, and open the box to get the letters that would lead them forward?
Cue another Gryffindor sigh. This was such a weird class. At least it was exclusively using alohomora, was it not? No more of the colloportus that had given him trouble from his understanding, so that was a relief, and he verbalized that. "I think I will be okay this time around." Meaning Davie did not have to worry about him as much and wait around for him, and Callum moved under a trap door with a smile. "Thanks for looking out for me, David." He meant it, too.
"Alohomora." With a slight swish and tap of his wand, the trap door above him opened, and Callum beamed. This spell was very good to him, and he only hoped charms would continue to be his strong suit in the future.
Oliver made his way over to the second room and waited patiently as people seemed to be struggling getting inside. What in the world was going on up there? He tiptoed a bit to see if he could see over people but had no luck.
When he finally reached the front, he was able to see for himself what the issue was. The ceiling was low...like, loooow. As in, he had to get down on his hands and knees and crawl in low. And so he did just that, even though he was kind of annoyed with the professor for making him do it. Class was hard enough mentally, it didn't need to be hard physically too.
Once he was far enough in, he squinted at the board that was fairly far away and read the instructions. If this wasn't weird, he didn't know what was. He had already perfected the unlocking spell, what was the point, professor?
Sighing, he put his little box in his bag, wrapped the bag around himself, and pulled out his wand. The sooner he could get this done, the sooner they could move on to the lesson, and the sooner he could go find his girlfriend.
"Hey!
"Ready?"
Kay smiled but didn't celebrate yet, they still had to make it through the trapdoor into another area 'Please don't be as tiny as this part' she pleaded in her head.
She let him pull her up through the door. Normally she would be embarrassed, but right now Kay was just relieved that she was leaving that tiny room. "Thank you." she said gratefully when she made it to the next area. She grinned when she saw the size of the room "This is so much better." Kay said to Austin. "I can breath again!"
She was about to ask what was next when he said something about climbing the walls."We have to climb? I love climbing." She said beaming. She saw Austin put on some kind of boots and gloves, so, after finding a similar pair near her, she put them on. She glanced over at the older boy and grinned "I am ready!" She exclaimed, feeling almost back to normal.
Looking around at all of the mini doors above them, Ollie crawled down a bit and stopped in front of one. Trying his best, he pointed his wand at the door and said, "Alohamora," very simply. He heard the click of the door unlocking and he opened it all the way.
Cool. Now for the climbing thing. Really professor, what kind of a test was this? He was starting to thing this was a test of how much they cared bout their grade, and had this been last year, Ollie wouldn't have cared very much, honestly.
Oliver grabbed the sticky gloves and shoes and slipped them on. Don't worry, he definitely struggled doing it because LOW CEILINGS. He was pretty sure he looked ridiculous, but at least he looked as ridiculous as everyone else in the room.
He tested the glove on the wall to make sure it was sticky, it was. And after taking a deep breath, he put his hands as high up on the wall and pulled himself up (thanks to those few times he'd gone to the RoR to work out a little) without any struggles.
Oliver climbed up the wall veeeeery slowly in search of the new box he was supposed to find.

Much to Dot's dismay, the second room wasn't a super cool hangout for those who had finished the task. It was a second task. MORE TASK. Sort of made a girl wish she hadn't dragged her heels through the first room so much, hmm?
The directions on the board made it clear what she had to do, and Dot shuffled into the low-ceilinged room with her shoulders hunched and her head down. Her hair brushed the trapdoors above her, snagging on some of the hinges and making her eyes water. She wasn't crying or anything, gosh.
"Alohomora," Dot spoke the incantation quietly, not opting to try out the non-verbal spell again. Her back was protesting and her hair was actually sore, and she just wanted to be able to stand up straight again.

Ariadne reached up and pulled the trap door open just a little. She wasn't so trusting to think something wouldn't be waiting to jump out at her from the other side. She opened a little more before finally deciding nothing was waiting for a surprise attack. She was suddenly wishing her own, personal Ravenclaw had decided to stick with her. It was kind of intimidating to crawl through a trap door without an older student there to guide her.
She needed a Gryffindor to go before her, that's what she needed!
There was no way to easily seek out one in the tiny room, though. Ariadne sighed to herself and crawled through the trap door. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't shocked to see what was on the other side. Just a pair of gloves and some shoes. Were these even in her size? She was sure there was a charm to fix them if they weren't, but she didn't have a clue what that was.
Oliver looked up at the array of boxes above him and waaaiiited for the right one to come to him. He squinted at some and wondered when his would come to him. He was grateful waiting for this wasn't as bad as waiting under the sorting hat to get sorted...even though that was four years ago, nbd.
He continued looking around for the box that was coming for him and just when he was considering giving up, he decided to close his eyes and just wait for the whistling box to come to him. About a minute later, he heard the whistling grow louder and opened his eyes to see if he could see it coming for him. Instead, he felt a very light thump on the back of his head. Turning around, he saw a box waiting to be opened by him. "I DID IT." Even though he didn't really do a single thing, he just waited.
Ollie slipped the box under his arm and held it there tightly as he slowly made his way back down the wall.

SHE WAS TO TALL FOR THIS!!!
If she ever saw the Professor she was going to make sure he knew that this was super hard. She looked up and as she did her head slammed into the top. OWWW!! She muttered under her breath about professors, being tall, and wanting to get out of this place. Oh lookie there were instructions. The sixth year gave them a read, and then another and another because if she forgot them then heck she would be stuck.
It was a little difficult for her to reach her wand inside her pocket, why had she put it back in there, but with some wiggling the almost six foot tall girl took it out and pointed to the door. "Alohomora!" She heard the familiar clicking sound from the lock. The door is open. After stepping through she realized she only remembered some of the steps. Well dang it.
Seeing another Gryffindor she yelled "HEY!! HEY!!!" Speed crawling over to the girl she said "Want to help each other get through this task?" Teamwork always worked right?

Standing up properly, Esme felt a lot better. Being hunched over was not a nice feeling.
With little difficulty she managed to get herself through and spotted the sticky gloves and shoes that she needed to put on. It was a good thing that she was not scared of heights because otherwise she was not sure how well she would have done then. As it was, she shrugged her shoulders before removing her shoes and putting them to the side.
First she put on the right sticky shoe, and then she put on the left sticky shoe. Next were the gloves, which only took a moment. Now she was ready to go.
Esme approached the wall and placed one of her gloved hands against it. She was good to go.

When Dot shoved up on her trap door, a smattering of dust and debris and other unsavory things fell into her hair and nose... and mouth. Unpleasant, to say the least, and it wasn't earning the invisible new professor any bonus points with her. She swiped at her mouth and pulled herself up through the trapdoor where her gloves and shoes were waiting for her.
They were ugly. Gross shoes. Boring gloves. If she had any time, she'd give them a nice color change and bedazzling.
Siiiigh. She tugged the gloves and shoes on and made all the appropriate faces and noises to express her extreme displeasure.
Finally having made his way back down, Oliver took off the sticky gloves...which he just realized he could have used to hold the box instead of sticking it under his arm and struggling the whole time...and left on the sticky shoes. He figured walking around in sticky shoes might actually be kind of fun. AND he could take them around the castle with him and use them to climb on walls and stuff because who wouldn't wanna do that? He's smart, it's true.
Ollie placed his silver box on the floor and grabbed his wand out of his pocket. "Alright, wand, let's do this one more time."

Oliver had his shoes and gloves on, and now it was time to try them out. He felt a brief flash of fear that they wouldn't work, but he tried to push that away as soon as it occurred. They had been left for them by the professor himself (probably) which meant they would be perfectly safe and in working condition (probably). But there was only one way to find out. Olly pressed his hand firmly against the wall, and then the other. When he tried to lift the first one, he was met with resistance and found his hand to be stuck firmly to the wall. He found that putting even more force behind the pull did wrench his hand away from the wall so he could move it up.
Then it was time to add his feet. It felt very strange to be pressing one of his feet against the wall, trying to climb up it. Logically, he knew that it should not work. And yet his foot stuck to the wall. He added the other, so both of his hands and both of his feet were all stuck to the wall and he just hung there. Strange indeed. Olly moved slowly, pulling away one hand at a time and reaching higher. That motion was followed by pulling a foot away from the wall and following the hand, so his entire body slowly moved up the wall.
It reminded him briefly of his very first Astronomy lesson the previous term, where they had found themselves to be floating through the classrooms. Both experiences had caused Olly to find himself closer to the ceiling than to the floor, and yet the experiences were completely different. Floating had been much freer than clinging to the wall, trusting that the stick on his shoes and gloves would hold and not send him plummeting to the floor. Plus, Olly hadn't had to do any work to be up so high the first time. As he drew level with the boxes, Olly wondered why they couldn't have reached that height by some other magical means. Something that would have been more fun, and not required so much actual effort on the part of the climber.

Any pride in having managed to get to the next room disappeared as soon as Brooklyn had laid eyes on the situation ahead of her. Ew, she thought, having to get down nearly on her hands and knees barely two steps inside. She wasn’t about to let her hair get c aught on any of the trapdoor hinges or anything else on the extremely low ceiling. Some of her respect for the professor had faded too, since she didn’t want to imagine how much dust and grime she was having to crawl through. She’d much rather not collide with anyone else, either. The only saving grace was that they didn’t have to crawl through the swamp. She would have definitely said no to that, lesson or no.
Finally stopping after a few more feet of crawling, well clear of the door she’d passed through but not too far into the room, she looked up at the trapdoor above her. Twisting around so she was more sitting on the floor than anything, she pointed her wand at the lock. “Alohomora,” she cast, tracing the wand movement out carefully and waiting until she heard the click to tell her the door was unlocked. She wasn’t particularly in any hurry to find out what the next obstacle was going to be.

Yes, she needed to wear these gloves and shoes. It was written on the instruction, right? Right.
Good that Ava didn't have height phobia. In fact, climbing was one of her favorite things to do. And by using these sticky gloves and shoes, it made the climbing easier. The young lioness then removed her black converse and put the shoes... Hopefully it fit on her small feet (or maybe the Professor had charmed it so it would fit to anybody's feet regardless on their shoe size). Once she had put on the shoes, she put on the gloves and now she's ready to climb! But first, she touched the wall to see if she did wear the right gloves. Yup, it's the sticky one.
Her brown eyes spotted a young Slytherin girl (Ariadne) who looked confused and clueless. Ah, first year, it felt like she was a first year yesterday but now she wasn't. Maybe she could offer her some help? You know, being a good upperclassman because she was as clueless as her when she was being a first year student. "Do you need some help?" The young lioness asked.

Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh.
Now she did NOT like this. AT ALL.
This was dumb. And weird. And she sincerely hoped that nobody would have to brilliant idea of climbing the wall right after her. Again. Skirts were a thing. She might have to draw her wand and hex them if they tried. So far so good though. As long as nobody tried anything weird.
And yes she would even hex an innocent first year.
FINALLY they'd made it to the top, however. Ugh. She couldn't wait to come back down. Maggie very much appreciated his warning and so had time to pull one hand off the wall. Now catching. Catching wasn't exactly her strong suit. That one time Jeremy had taken her to one of those Quidditch games and had asked her if that was something she would want to try one day, Maggie had just laughed in his face. Like, lol, no.
Yet here she was, sort of up in the air, with something flying in her direction that she was supposed to catch.
WHERE DID SHE GO WRONG???
The box was coming...it was coming....Maggie reached out her hand and....it slipped right through her fingers....and hit her shoulder. "Ouch!" It hadn't actually hurt that much. Her pride was definitely hurt more. Blushing she plucked the little box from the air now, then started her descent.
