Once you have gotten your number code correct and the door has let you through. The first thing you might notice is the room is super low. So low you might have to duck down or crawl to get in. Looking up there are little trap door all of course locked. Clear at the front of the room are more directions for you to follow.

Place them on and climb the wall to retrieve one of the many smaller boxes flying around. They will come to you with a small whistle. They will not come with accio so don't even try. Once you have the box carefully go back down and take off the sticky gloves and shoes. The floor is charmed so no you can't fall to your death or even get hurt. You will need to unlock the box to retrieve the letters to get through your final door into our classroom.
Good Luck
OOC: Just as the directions say you will RP doing the steps, minimum of five to get through each step. Again there is no time limit for now so please have fun and don't feel rushed.
NOTE: If you have not been quoted in Room 1 with a link to this room please do not post here yet. I will delete the post. If you haven't started in room 1 that is okay, go have fun, do room 1! You are not too late or too far behind. I PROMISE!!
There comes a time where things do need to wrap up! I would like to move on Tuesday, January 12. So I will be closing room 1 and 2 at that point. You will have until Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST to finish up on any of your post! Once these are closed it will be said that door have opened for your character to just go straight to the classroom! Remember it is okay if your character did not get all the way through!!
Katherine GOT it! She was so relieved, it seemed that the professor didn't mind her 1+2 tries. Well, obviously, she would practise these spells as soon as she got to her dorm. There was no way she assumed the job to be done, so maybe the professor saw her intention too? Must be it... if there had been a professor in the first place.
Well, anyway, it didn't matter. She repeated the numbers to herself before entering "6, 7, 5, 4." Pretty cool, huh? And all by HERSELF. Yeah. She did the spells all by herself - granted, she did watch some older kids, but the professor wasn't even here to show them anything, and that Alohomora had been only her third spell try. Was she acing this test or what?
Hehehe, anyway, she opened the door to the second room -
. . . the ceiling was low . . . and there were already people there . . . the oxygen levels must be low and . . . Katherine took an instinctive step back. Not going in wasn't an option, but going in didn't sound attractive at all. She had to go in, the test was still going on... oh no, what if they had a deadline? Every test had a deadline! No, she had to enter, so she took a deep breath and crawled in. She could do this. She had done it perfectly in the previous room, she so could do again. She quickly read the instructions.
The doors above? What? But she'd fall - she looked around quickly. People seemed to be doing alright... okay, she got this. She quickly whispered her numbers and picked the closest door. She tried it first because she didn't want to be a cheater, and upon seeing that it was locked, she got out her wand again to cast "Alohomora." ...a second later came the much wanted click, and she sighed (despite the lack of oxygen) in relief to pass through.
Austin flashed her a smile. "I'm Austin." He thought about what to do next. Basically they had to scoot their way to a free door. And then she had to unlock it. Which might be hard if she wasn't a fan of the ceiling. Or the small spaces in general. But first, he had to calm her down. "Okay, here's what we do. Follow my lead." Austin got into an army crawl position, and began wiggling along the floor. Since there weren't a lot of people around, he, thankfully, didn't hit anyone. But he flailed about all the same. The boy was hoping to make her laugh. It was a strange sight to behold.
Once he came to two free doors, he sat back up and waited for her to join.
Kaylee smiled "Nice to meet you Austin She said, her voice nearly back to normal. It looked like he was ready to get back to the test. Kay felt a bit guilty when she realized that she was most likely delaying the older boy's progress. So she decided to follow him with out complaint. If she kept her focus on the older boy instead of looking around she should be fine. Luckily he proved to be an amusing distraction when he start to flail around. Kay was smart enough to enough that he was doing for her benefit, but she was grateful.
She was giggling at him, and before she knew she was next to him where he stopped. She looked over at him and asked "What's next?"

Rachel was finally able to make it through to the next room. Entering it, she did notice that it was rather lower than usual. However, this was no bother to much her as she was quite short but that fact didn't stop her hair from brushing against it. Her dark brown eyes traveled over the upper part, taking in all the doors. She needed to open one.
The girl stowed the box from the other room in one of the pockets of her robes so that she could fully focus on one of the doors. "Alohomora.'' She watched intently after completing the wand movement but unfortunately not so much of a click of the door unlocking could be heard.
"Alohomora.'' The door remained firmly closed but Rachel was not the least discouraged. "Alohomora.'' Finally, there was a sound as the door came unlocked. Now it was time to get through it.
Kaylee smiled "Nice to meet you Austin She said, her voice nearly back to normal. It looked like he was ready to get back to the test. She was giggling at him, and before she knew she was next to him where he stopped. She looked over at him and asked "What's next?"
"Now here comes the tricky part." Actually it wasn't that difficult at all. Austin had gotten through his original door on his own. But if she was claustrophobic, then it was going to be quite the struggle. "We have to open the door on the ceiling." He took a second and pointed to the two doors above him. "I found it easiest to just lie on your back and point your wand up. But if that makes you uncomfortable, you could always try closing your eyes. I'll make sure you're pointing in the right spot."
Austin lied on his back to demonstrate. Hopefully she would be able to see how it's done, and replicate it. Even if it was very cramped in here. He just did what any Ravenclaw would do and worked around the problem. "Alohomora." He said, pointing his wand at the door. He looked over at his companion, to make sure she was pointing in the right direction, and not hyperventilating.

Stuck..
She was full on stuck! She HAD managed by some miracle to make it half way up the wall, but now.. Her arms and legs were so tired they were burning! She didn't have the strength to keep pulling her hands and feet off the wall!
So now what? She wasn't even CLOSE to the boxes! And trying to whistle for them would be hard enough! But just getting up there would be the challenge!
She whimpered a little as she leaned her head against the wall, her black hair falling in her face and she closed her purple eyes and tried not to cry..
Is this what a fly felt like right before a spider ate it?
Helpless and stuck!
Tears started to come to her eyes as she felt her legs and arms burning from the strain..
"Now here comes the tricky part." Actually it wasn't that difficult at all. Austin had gotten through his original door on his own. But if she was claustrophobic, then it was going to be quite the struggle. "We have to open the door on the ceiling." He took a second and pointed to the two doors above him. Kay gulped at the"tricky part"..... 'That can't be good.' They had to open up a trap door on the ceiling.... oh dear. The curly haired girl watched as Austin went on his back. Kay took a deep breath, and let it out, and repeated the little calming exercise before coping the older boy's action.
She kept her eyes close tight has she was lying on the floor. She wiped her sweaty hand on her robes before grabbing her wand from the pocket. "I can do this. I can do this." she whispered to herself, before she quickly opened her eyes and pointed at the door and said "Alohomora" before quickly closing her eyes again She breathed a sigh of relieved when she heard the click of the door unlocking. She turned towards Austin and opened her eyes. "I did it." she said smiling.
Henric entered carefully as soon as he was let through the doors. Woah...why were the ceiling so low? Henric had to bend over his body in order for him to move forward. He stopped and waited for his girlfriend who was following close behind him,"llia...the ceiling's low...be careful with your head..okay?" This room was definitely not made for his height!

Now she had entered the next room, Ava looked around an realized that the ceiling was lower than usual. Well, for now she was very thankful for being short because she didn't really need to duck lower like the other kids. She noticed that there were doors on the ceiling.
EEEEEEEPPPP!!!!!
So now she had to open the door there? Okay. The young lioness tried to open it but it was locked. She pointed her wand to the door handle and cast the unlocking charm. "Alohomora!" She did hear the click sound, good. Next, she opened the door and go through it. Ava noticed that there was a pair of gloves and shoes... Did she really needed to wear them?

His eyes were fixed to a spot ahead of him, right beneath a trap door. Any old one would do, but he wasn't dumb enough to go for one right in the back. The closer, the better. Time was of the essence. He wanted to learn something more than just unlocking things today.
Everything stopped for him though, when he felt something grab his leg.
Head whipping to peer around his body, Zeke exhaled a breath when he saw it was Maggie. Just Maggie. "Hey," he called back, "you alright?"
Excuse you, it was never JUST Maggie.
Those two words didn't go together.
"No." Maggie pouted and shook her head. "I don't like crawling." Or being on all fours in general. So without further ado, she moved further up until she was pretty much lying on top of Zeke's back. "Now go. I want that trap door." She gestured to the nearest one. Go horsie.
After a few seconds she leaned in and kissed his cheek from behind. "Pleaaaase?" See? She'd even said please. Now go, she didn't have all day.

But no, silly question, of course she wasn't alright. He tried for a sympathetic look, and wasn't at all surprised when she started advancing on him. Literally, on him. He wouldn't complain, though it did make his task all the more difficult. "Uh huh..."
And manners, he was about to comment when he received a kiss on the cheek and a please. That was much better. Thank you Maggie, we deserve that much.
"Okay... hold on then," he mused, moving forward, testing their weight on his hands and knees. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world, the space was small, but Maggie was light and so he managed. Somehow he managed. One hand in front of the other, pulling his legs up behind as he inched them forward until they were beneath the trap door.

Bella was so excited to have made it to the next room, but that happiness slowly dropped as she entered the next room. It was small... too small for her. Truthfully, it was too small for her comfort period. She took in several deep breath trying to slow her pounding heart as she bent down lower so she could try and move forward, but she didn't make it far from the entrance. She looked to read the instructions on the board, but couldn't really focus on what was written. All she could think about was possibly not making it out of this room. It would be like the time... less than two years back... the hole... everything closing in. No, she didn't want to remember that. She just wanted to hurry and make it through this room.
She tried to move again, but to no avail. There was no way she was going to make it through this part without help. Bella found herself leaning slightly to the left, not expecting something or someone to be there to support her. She looked up with a helpless look in her green eyes, her face pale.

Her riding around on his back. They should make a habit out of that. Piggyback rides should be a thing too. She should cash in one of her favors for that. Did she still have any? Actually she wasn't entirely sure, she'd somehow lost count there but she was sure there was a way for her to convince him to do it.
Like, she'd even managed to convince him right now.
Maggie wrapped her arms around his torso so she wouldn't fall off. Not that he was going fast or anything. But sliding off was still an issue. Somehow she managed to stay on though until they were right beneath the trap door she'd indicated earlier. Yes!
"Sure." Bracing herself with one hand on the floor, she tilted her body upwards until she could point her wand a the trap door. "Alohomora!" Dun dun dun. Once the door was open she sat up – still on Zeke's back – and peeked through the door into the next room. Nothing scary or dangerous it seemed (but then again this wasn't DADA). "Thank youuuuu." Maggie chirped, running her fingers through the boyfriend's hair before pushing herself through the door and into the next room.

Interesting. Was Zeke coming?
With her arms wrapped around him, Zeke was quite at his leisure, perhaps Charms class wasn't a waste of an hour at this point. Naturally he had no qualms with sharing his space with Maggie, and neither did he have issues with carrying her. After all, he did like challenges.
"Don't hit your head," he'd prompted also, but perhaps too softly for her to here. It hadn't been an issue however, as they'd made it to their destination and he would be happy not to have to crawl any longer. Doing his best to keep steady, Zeke didn't move as Maggie adjusted herself. He did spare her arm a quick kiss though.
But oooooooomph! He nearly buckled under pressure from Maggie sitting up, his elbows unlocking slightly before he regained his posture. "What's up there?" he asked as he was on the receiving end of her thank you, her fingers in his hair thoroughly appreciated.
Adjusting himself he moved his legs up into a squatting position before peeking his head through after her. Huh. "And we have to climb those?" he asked, staring at the walls. Brilliant. Sticking his arms up through the trap door, Zeke pulled himself up after Maggie.

Her first look around didn't tell her a whole lot. There was a room. "Boxes." In the air. Out of reach. Which was to be expected based on the instructions they'd read. Maggie pulled up her legs and sat sideways next to the trap door. "And these." She held up a pair of sticky gloves and shoes for Zeke to see through the trap door.
Really. She was wearing a skirt. She was definitely NOT dressed to be climbing up walls.
Although she doubted a MALE professor would've anticipated that problem. Meh.
Taking off her own shoes, Maggie slowly put on the sticky shoes. Ew. Which were ugly. Like, couldn't they have had more fashionable ones? Her eyes flicked over to Zeke when he too came up through the trap door. "Mhm. Do you know how to whistle?" She looked at the other people around them, watching them for a few seconds. One of them was crying. Awesome.

The very second Hady slipped through the doorway and into the second room she knew something wasn't right. It was waaaayyyy to small. Well not 'small' per-say but more like low. The ceiling was much to low. This was one time she was extremely happy about only growing two and a half inches this past summer. Even with her smallish stature of just barely five feet Hady found herself ducking down. Rather then crouch around and hurt her back she found herself on her hands and knees within just a few seconds longer. Crawling wasn't the best especially in ones school uniform and robes but it beat having a sore back later on.
Inching forward slowly into the room one hand and knee in front of the next she scanned her surroundings for some sign of what was to come next. Thankfully she didn't have far to go before coming upon the next set of instructions. It just so happened that she would need to unlock one of those little trapdoors above her head and then climb up into it. Once she did that she could pull on some sticky shoes and move up the wall towards the ceiling in order to collect herself another box before returning back down with it. Well alrighty then.

Katherine gladly went through the door to... find gloves and shoes. Was she supposed to wear shoes that didn't belong to her? Although she was sure these were clean - actually no, how was she supposed to be sure they weren't worn by someone with nail fungus, hmm? But she didn't know the cleaning spell yet, and she didn't want to risk wasting time. Asking another student was out of question too, because she wasn't going to cause someone waste time just because she was being tested on her very first day at Hogwarts and naturally didn't know a spell. No, these were clean... probably. She smelled them and they didn't stink, so she put them on. It then occured to her that she had to leave her OWN shoes here. What if someone stole them? The professor obviously couldn't be at two places at the same time, and muggle cameras wouldn't work here, so they would be unsupervised. They were obviously new, black school shoes; pretty attractive for thieves. She didn't want to leave them behind, but she also didn't have any pockets to stuff them in. She didn't like this test. It wasn't very secure or healthy, but she would NEVER EVER defy authority ever, so she had to obey. She quickly and suspiciously eyed the people inside. Obviously the older students couldn't, and the first years had better not. Or else, she was directly going to the Headmistress. She tried to come up with a better plan, but there really wasn't any more options. Besides, the person wouldn't be able to wear them AT school, so they were probably safe... yeah, yeah.
She took a deep breath and tried to remember what she was supposed to do now.

Boxes. Boxes and locks. That was the theme of the day it seemed, which was a pity, because it was quite dull. Never mind though, it could hardly get worse. It wasn't all there was though, and the sticky gloves and shoes did seem promising, somehow that part of the instructions has slipped his mind until Maggie reminded him. But there was nothing else? No obstacles? Deterrents? No real challenge?
"It's a bit weird..."
The room was a strange thing he supposed, with them all popping up like whack-a-mole figures.
"Yeah, sure, you don't?" he asked, making assumptions as he kicked his shoes off. The sticky shoes were interesting to say the least, but he would have thought using a sticking charm or a summoning charm would be more.... charmsy, and at least a test of their charms ability. Wasn't that the whole point of these task things?

A bit?
"It's really weird." Maggie corrected him, standing back up and looking around again while she put on the gloves. "Do you think there's another room after this?" Or would they be dismissed? If so then that would be a really easy lesson. Maybe their OWLs WOULD be as simple as this.
Her eyes returned to Zeke and she almost said 'sure' too. But then again, she couldn't really get away with it unless she pulled a stunt similar to Daxton's. So she shook her head but tried to look nonchalant about it. "No. So you'll have to do the whistling for me." Could he just do the whole exercise for her?
Seeing as she could only assume the professor was watching however, Maggie figured they all had to get their boxes themselves. Or at least try to. "C'mon." She held out her hand for Zeke but then quickly pulled it back again. Sticky gloves. That wouldn't end well. They'd only get their hands stuck together. So she only wiggled her fingers at him before moving over to one of the walls.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

She took a deep breath and tried to remember what she was supposed to do now.
Torrance entered into the second room and stepped in. His Hair was brushing against the ceiling of the wall and he laughed a little. He found it funny that this next room would be so tiny. How did Uncle Julien create this room and not get stuck in it himself after. The man was as tall as a REALLY TALL tree.
Right so. What was the first step in this room...His hair brushed against something odd. A Door Knob? Oh the Door was above them...okay. Torrance took out his wand and looked at the door above him. He took a few steps back. He jiggled the door handle. LOW AND BEHOLD it was locked. Course it was. Tory pointed his wand at the Door and with intent of unlocking it he spoke. "Alohomora!" He heard the lock click and he turned the door knob once more it opened!
The young lion climbed into a second room and looked above him, at all the floating boxes. There were a few students ahead of him and they all seemed to be climbing the walls to get to them. He could do that too.
Torrance saw on the floor ahead of him a pair of shoes (Katherine Moss') and gloves. Guess he had to do what the instructions said climb the walls to get his box. Sitting down he removed his shoes and put on the pair in front of him, with extreme difficulty...They were tight and probably cutting off his circulation. As well as the gloves.
He stuck his hands to the wall and started to climb...Gah wait...no footing what was the deal!?!?!
He moved his hands up further able to dangle from the wall...but no footing!!!
"HEY WHAT'S THE DEAL!?" He shouted upset that he got a defective pair of sticky shoes!

Through the door went Princess Rachel. She had no problems locating the sticky shoes and gloves. They were just there waiting for her. Balancing herself gracefully on her left foot, she removed her right side shoe to replace it with the sticky shoe then repeated the action for the other foot.
Footwear in place, the girl tugged on the pair of gloves as she looked up at the walls. She was not afraid of climbing there because she knew the Charms Professor would not let any harm come to them as was confirmed in the instructions they were given.
She edged closer to the wall and placed a hand on it, ready to climb.

Right. Okay.
"Touché," he accepted the correction. Really weird then. With the sticky shoes on, Zeke rose to his feet, pulling his gloves on at the same time. Scaling walls was something he would find amusing on any given day, as a lesson though it still didn't make much sense. If it had been for DADA then maybe, only maybe.
Somehow he had taken for granted the art of whistling, assuming that everyone was capable of it. So when Maggie shook her head, he was curious. He'd have to do it for her? "I can manage that," he agreed, giving her a low wolf-whistle to demonstrate his skills. She had a great boyfriend, so accommodating and skilful he was.
He didn't need her prompting, but extended his hand to take hers when it was offered... only... it was taken back, and for a moment he was perplexed.
...
And then it made sense.
Gloves. Right.
"Let's do it," he beamed, stepping away from the trapdoor to the wall. The shoes. The shoes felt weird.
One hand on the wall, Zeke tested the grip. It WAS sticky. Like, sticky sticky. Next he placed his foot against the wall on an angle, and the next, and with his last hand meeting the surface he started the pull himself up. One step after the other. He peered over to Maggie, making sure she was alright and managing.

Alright so the first step would be unlocking one of the doors above her head. Shouldn't be to hard being as she already knew the spell. A quick glance around the tiny area showed her all the awkward ways some of the others were taking to doing this. With a tiny roll of her eyes she ignored the fact that she might be a lady and wearing a skirt as she lowered herself down onto her stomach from her crawling position. Now on her stomach on the floor is was easy to roll onto her back.
Laying on her back Hady selected the door directly above her. Made the most sense really. Removing her wand from the holster at her wrist she aimed it upwards at the lock on the trapdoor. A small precise wand movement and a nice calm, "Alohomora," was all that was needed. There was an instant click from the lock signaling that her charm work was successful. Stowing her wand away once more the fifth year very carefully moved to sit up from her laying position and then proceeded to rise to her feet (even more carefully) and lift herself up and through the small doorway. What exactly lay ahead she didn't know but she was sure she was ready for it.

Azura was panting heavily from the strain of being on the wall and from her crying.. No one was coming to help her.. She didn't have Jasper here, or Austin or anyone else..
She was by herself and she had to do this alone.
More tears came from her eyes as she slowly pulled backed hard on one of her hands and it came free from the wall!! With a great struggle she managed to slowly move her burning limbs up the wall to where the boxes were!!
Still crying.. She turned to whistle to one of them.. And it came!
She grabbed onto it and then looked down.. Now how was she going to get back down there?

Once Hady was safely up and through the small doorway in the low ceiling she sat herself down on the little ledge there. There was no need to even look about for the items that were supposed to be there for her. Right in front of her face were the sticky gloves and shoes. No work needed for this part then.
Removing each of her shoes she set them aside out of the way and began the quick task of putting on the ones that were there for her. Not the fanciest looking things but they would get the job done if she didn't come toppling down from the wall cause clearly that would not be a good thing! Giving the laces one more firm tug to ensure their tightness Hady then pulled on each glove.
Letting out a breath she rose to her feet and reached one hand up and set her palm against the wall right above her head. Giving a small tug to prove it was stuck she then did the same with her other hand only a little higher then the first. With both hands stuck to the wall next came a foot which she bent a little bit to only press the front part of her foot to the walls. Like just her toes mainly. Then her other foot. Without either looking up nor down she began the not so easy task of tugging one hand from the wall and moving it higher, following by a foot, other foot and next hand. Over and over this is what she did.
The whole time she climbed this wall Hady fixed her attention on just this task before her. Nothing else mattered right then other then not hitting the ground below...or well that was until she heard what sounded like crying. Lifting her gaze from the wall and looking around Hady located the sound and the girl it was coming from. "Hey! Are you alright over there?" she called out towards the girl (Azura), did she need help or something?

Hadley Denaker climbed up into the next room, nearly vibrating with excitement. This was her first experience with the lesson style at Hogwarts, and she was hooked. How could you not love this!? It was everything she'd always wished school would be. And now it was really real!
Once into the room, she closed the trapped door behind her and kicked off her shoes. Sticky shoes... she slipped them on. Check. She grabbed the gloves next and slipped them on as well. Now came the best part.
Instead of just walking up to the wall and starting to climb -which was boring- Haddie took a running leap onto the wall. Because that was more her style.
