Post 5: Intercepting the toss from Haddie to Rachel Hady had taken notice out of the corner of her eye of someone whom just so happened to not be on her team near the green platform. Being on the other side she hadn't been able to keep her from getting the ball but she was quick enough to jump in her way. Sorry name stealer and little flower friend but this wasn't going to happen. Leaping upwards into the air she caught the ball before it could each Rachel. With a small smirk she tossed it back onto the snakes platform. Nice try girls but not good enough. |
Post 4 - Stealing from Gryffindors AGAIN. (xD) Quote:
"I'll get back that yellow you stole away from me, shortcake!" Henric grinned and grabbed another one of their red balls. And OH NO! He saw his girlfriend landed right into the pyramids! "llia, are you alright?!"Henric changed his course and bounced towards her with his stolen red ball in tact. Merlin, that was one heck of a tumble. Good thing llia seemed to recover well on her own. Safety first! And also...he should get more white balls instead or stealing. Meh...oh well! |
Post 5 - Stealing it back again :P Quote:
Oh, look! He was distracted by the girlfriend who had just landed right into the pyramids. Well, maybe this wasn't a good time but... The young lioness managed to get the red ball again from the Hufflepuff Prefect's hand. Sorry! But you should've never get distracted by your girlfriend, brother! She bounced back to the Gryffindor platform and put back the ball. |
Post 5- The Middle Oh, no! Rachel had missed her opportunity when Hady caught the ball. "I'm sorry, Haddie,'' she called in disappointment to her best friend. "Nice catch, Hady.'' She smiled at the older Slytherin. Now, was there anyone else who wanted her to catch a ball for Ravenclaw? Rachel scanned the room but saw no one. She noted Haddie had decided to target the Hufflepuffs. Rachel decided she would go over to the middle pile again. She was sure if she took a ball from the other three Houses, she would feel as though she were stealing despite it being a game. She jumped easily onto the platform, scooped up a white ball then hurried back to the Ravenclaw platform. Up she went! Another ball, now blue, for her House's pile. |
Post 5 - Taking from the middle Wow. Talk about a lot of back and forth. Esme giggled as she watched Henric and Ava. It was rather funny. She shot her teammate a thumbs up. He was doing a good job defending their house. She, on the other hand, was doing a good job of bringing in more balls. They were shaping up to be quite the team. With another huge leap, she collected another ball from the center platform. There were fewer now, and she wondered how much longer the game would go on for. Not that she wanted it to stop - she was merely curious. Another leap had a yellow ball resting on the Hufflepuff platform. |
post 8 - stealing from Hufflepuff Haddie glared as she watched the other Hady intercept her toss. She'll get it back she told herself, but for now, the Hufflepuff prefect was distracted with the Gryffindor girl, so they were a prime target. Hadley continued her way to the Hufflepuff platform and snatched a yellow ball from it. Now to get it back to the Ravenclaw platform. She let herself fall away from the platform. |
Post 5- from the middle Quote:
Shaking off her embarrassing stumble, she snatched a ball that she had nearly knocked off the platform and walked off the platform. She wasn't going to try flipping again right now. She was too tall for doing it gracefully at this moment and she didn't feel like kissing the platform. She'd save that for Henric. Using her momentum she rocketed herself back onto the green platform gracefully this time. She smiled at Hady's save and added one more ball to the beautiful green. Go snakes! |
Post 6 - Defending Quote:
Esme noticed the steal attempt and was going to do her best to protect the ball like Henric had been doing. "Could you give the ball back?" she said in an attempt at interception. She held her hand out. If she didn't give it back over, looked like she would need to take matters into her own hands. |
Post1. Taking from the Middle! Still pouting about not being able to become astronauts, it took Kay a little bit to start the activity. Watching her classmates closely, she tried to gage the best action for her. She saw that the Hufflepuff area was pretty well protected, and she wasn;t confident enough to try to steal from another house yet, so it looked like the middle was the best option. She jumped to ever shrinking pyramid, letting out a whoop when she jumped quite a few feet into the air, thanks to the 1/3 gravity. The curly haired girl managed to grab a ball before falling back on the ground, landing on her bottom. "Oof!" she grumbled before standing back up. After she dusted herself off, she made her way the Hufflepuff area, and with a little more control, she jumped up and placed the ball on the platform. The 11 year old grinned when she watched it turn yellow. She turn around, and debated on what to do next. |
post 9 - passing the Hufflepuff ball Quote:
Hufflepuffs were a sweet bunch. "Bye!" Haddie waved and bounced off toward the Slytherin platform to reclaim the ball she stole that had been intercepted. |
Post 6- Catching Haddie's toss! Quote:
Without hesitating, Rachel edged closer to the platform's edge. No one was going to stop her this time, hopefully. Arms out, she kept her eyes on the ball. In no time she had caught it! "I got it, Haddie!" Smiling, she quickly deposited into the Ravenclaw pile. |
Post 1 - Taking from the middle Olly liked activities that put the houses in competition with each other. But he did really like to win, so sometimes he got way more into the game than he should. But it was fun. This was sounded fun because there was the potential to steal from the other houses. Olly grinned, but glanced around suspiciously, making sure no one was trying to steal balls from Slytherin. He would not let them get away with that. Though he did want to steal, there were still balls in the middle. They were easier targets, so it made sense to get all of those before going after the other houses. Olly made his way over through the thick of the competition. He grabbed a ball and hurried back to the Slytherin platform. It wasn't difficult. He just had to jump once or twice and he was back. The gravity in the room was cool. Could it be like that all the time? Olly set his ball on the Slytherin platform and it turned green. Then he turned to face the rest of the room to see where he was needed next. |
Post 7 - Taking from the middle Esme rolled her eyes. Whatever. Making her way back to the center of the room, she leaped towards the platform and grabbed another ball. Maybe people would learn that there were more Houses to steal from than her own? Talk about discriminating against the Hufflepuffs. Okay, she was playing for fun. She just didn't like how her House was being singled out. With another leap she placed the ball on the Hufflepuff platform and watched as it turned yellow. |
Post 1: taking from middle: Zeke-whispering The thing was, Amur didn't particularly want to move. See, she was sitting beside someone smart. She actually felt like she was absorbing some of the smartness from David. He oozed it. It was lovely. His last two answers had her nodding and nodding and nodding. Brownie points for smartness. Or, she supposed that was how house points worked. Plus, it was warm under the blanket. Hopping about in the cold didn't sound horrible when one was outside of the blanket, but when one was inside well....it became a different story. Still, using minimal gravity in a game similar to capture the flag just sounded absolutely fantastic. So, she was able to work first her arms then her legs out of the blanket. She might have left it on as a cape too, would it not impede movement so much. With a huff of air, Amur braced herself and threw it off. Then it was moving the desk. And then chaos broke loose. Pure and utter chaos. She sort of just stood and blinked. If she didn't move, she could see everything. If she did then she would loose that advantage. But, that being said, Amur didn't think Professor Flamsteed would appreciate a stationary body. A sudden thought struck Amur, and she glanced from Flamsteed to the balls to the Professor to her own hands. What if.....? He hadn't said they couldn't. And what was the point in asking permission if the likely answer would be a 'no'. This was magic school after all, wasn't it? With a private smile, Amur weasled her wand out of her sleeve, and tried for the disillusionment charm. The first time fizzled. The second time got her feet. The third her legs. The fourth nothing. The fifth seemed to be the charm, and she was more or less disillusioned. Save for the fact it wasn't a perfect blend, and it probably looked more like a weird blob of air moving through space, distorting things around it, but hey, it was a start! With a grin, Amur went for the middle balls, snatching one off the platform and skittering back to the Gryffindor corner. There, she deposited it and caught sight of her favorite other Gryffindor. "Pssst. Zeke. Tag team?" He would understand what that meant, right? |
Post 3 Stealing from Ravenclaw Kaylee watched as the Ravenclaw grab one of their balls." I am going to get that ball back!" She cried out before jumping off the Hufflepuff platform. She landed on the fall with a little more grace than last time. She ran towards the blue platform, and jumped up again, 'This almost anti-gravity jumping is fun.' She thought when she landed on the platform. The young girl grabbed the ball that they just stole from her house. "I will take this back, thank you very much." She said with a smile. The normally sigh and quiet girl was caught up in the game and her inner competitive self came out. She turned her back to the Ravenclaws and made to jump off the platform.... |
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they were off! The astronomer longed to participate as well, for entirely selfish reasons that had nothing to do with assisting his own house towards victory - though they seemed to be doing a fine job of that themselves judging on the piles on each house's platform at the moment. No, the space oddity simply longed to live out a bit of fantasy. Perhaps...he would...just to throw a bit of a wrench into each house's plans. But not yet. he would wait just a little more before adding to the chaos. MWAHAHA! Quote:

And that neutral pile of balls on the middle platform was looking pretty sparse now...soon the game would REALLY be on! OOC: just a few notes of clarification because I've been asked:yes: Sorry for any confusion my instructions may have caused and thank you all for your patience and participation:loved: |
Post 8 - Taking from the middle Ugh, what was she doing? She was starting to feel bad for getting irritated. Silly too. Esme reminded herself that this was just a game for fun. Where was the fun in getting bothered by something? The underdogs were something she rooted for and she got rather passionate about it. Sometimes it was hard for her to control these emotions. Taking a deep breath, she went for another ball before making her way over to the Hufflepuff platform and placing it on top. Out of the corner of her eyes, she spotted Kaylee making a claim to retrieve their last stolen ball. She was open to receive the pass. |
2; taking from the middle. This was getting very hyperactive, very fast. While Jaemin was all about hyperactivity... it was a little late in the day for it. The small boy rubbed his eye with the back of his hand before bouncing himself back up to the middle platform to grab one of the neutral balls. Those were the safest option right now, and it wouldn't hurt to get more of them on the green platform, right? Then all they had to do was defend! Song Jaemin. Slytherin Strategist. The boy snatched a white ball up, just barely, before bounding back to his own house's platform to set it down. Greeeeen. Just like a plant. |
Post 3-Tossing to Esme! (Kay's quite the smug little girl when she playing games 0_0) The Ravenclaws must of been in shocked of a tiny first year stealing a ball from under their noses, because nothing happen when she made the jump down. She glanced at the Hufflepuff platform and saw the Esme was opened. "ESME! Catch! she shouted, before tossing the ball towards the older Hufflepuff, hoping no one intercept it. She turned back to Ravenclaw platform, and gave a little bow and said, a tad bit smugly "Thank you again!" She said before nearly skipping back to the Hufflepuff platform. |
3; interceptionnnnnn Quote:
...aaaaaand popped right back up again when he heard a shout, flailing a bit in the air as he reached out to grab the thrown ball instead of a white one. Why not? "Thanks!" he yelled with a grin, before bouncing off to the Slytherin platform once again. |
1. Taking from the middle Yikes, this was scary! Kitty had never flown on a broom because it looked risky - and even watching a game of Quidditch made her queasy. Thankfully there were no brooms involved here, but the jumping and stealing didn't look nearly as fun to her as it did to everyone else. But still, she hated being left out of anything - and she knew Professor Flamsteed would notice if she didn't participate. And so, Kitty very cautiously jumped into the platform, hoping she wouldn't crash into it or miss. Landing, she picked up the closest ball she could find (they were almost gone now) and then tried to bounce back towards her own platform. So far so good... |
Post 4: Stealing from Slytherin and passing to Esme ((Take 2)) Kay watched as a Slytherin boy jumped and took the ball she was tossing towards Esme and took it to the Slytherin platform. 'How dare he do that!' she thought to herself, before rushing towards the Slytherin platform. " You are not welcome!" she shot back at the boy, before grabbing the ball back from the Slytherins. Let's try this again! Esme! Catch!" She tossed the ball towards the Hufflepuff girl as she jumped off the Slytherin platform. |
Pass Interception! Quote:
Hopping off the Gryffindor platform, he bounded towards the middle area in where all the neutral balls were located, getting ready to leap up and grab one. Though just as he did, he managed to INTERCEPT a green ball mid-air. Har har! "BINGO!" he beamed, hopping up back onto the Gryffindor platform and placing the green ball -- now red -- into their stack. |
4; taking from the middle ooc: um... from what I understand of Kath's rules, you're not supposed to steal and throw in the same post? I think? Well. That should have been expected. Jaemin wasn't quick enough to stop the girl who seemed to be moving lightning fast, so instead the small boy bounced toward the middle again to get another white ball. He'd just get another one! Jumping up, pushing himself up high enough to grab from the middle platform, he snatched up another white ball and then bounded back over to the Slytherin one to make it turn green. |

Quote:
Meanwhile, the professor began to make his move towards the Slytherin platform himself, his eye on the prize. OOC: Ameh is right and apologies for my wording being confusing <3 To steal you need 1 post taking the ball off the platform and then a 2nd post throwing it to a teammate. Not both actions in the same post! I have updated the original rules to hopefully reflect this more clearly! |
Post 2 - Taking from middle Olly watched as someone stole a ball from the Slytherin platform and moved in their direction before everything was resolved. Oh good. He spotted a young Slytherin interception some other thievery. He sent the boy a thumbs up and surveyed the rest of the room. There was a lot going on and Olly was not the best at focusing, but this was a competition so it was important. He headed back toward the middle. There were still a few balls there, so he might as well take them and claim them for Slytherin. He grabbed one and jumped quickly back to his platform. Too bad they couldn't grab more than one ball at a time. |
Post 5 Stealing from Slytherin ooc: Oops you are right.. Sorry.... 'Really?' Kay thought as she saw that the ball was intercept AGAIN, this time by a Gryffindor. The little girl debating for a second of just letting it be... but NO! That is a HUfflepuff ball, so it belongs in the Hufflepuff platform. Before the determined girl made it to the Gryffindor platfrom she saw the ball fall and bounced back to the Slytherin platfrom. 'Huh, that was weird' she thought before spinning around and made her way back to the Slytherin platform "I am back!"The curly haired girl sing sang, after jumping on the the platform. She grabbed the ever color changing ball and turned so she could jump of the platform.... |
Post 9 - Taking from the middle O_O Esme stared wide-eyed as BOTH pass attempts were botched. "Sorry!" she called out to Kaylee. It was getting rather hard for her to keep track of what was going on with all of this stealing and re-claiming. Thank Merlin she was working to keep herself calm now because it was just a game. A FUN game. Shrugging it off, Esme grabbed another white ball and placed it on the Hufflepuff platform. From the corner of her eye she saw Kaylee attempt another steal. Maybe third time's the charm? She held her hands up in the air so that she could make another attempt. This time she hoped that she would manage to catch it. |
5; Defending attempt? Quote:
|
Taking from the middle "Whaaaaat..." He made an attempt to catch the ball from rolling off the platform, but only managed to flop on the surface empty handed. AND THEN, it literally hopped back up on the Slytherin platform. What even. Magic was being used! For sure! PENALTY! With a less than scary huff, he scrambled to his feet and hopped down from the platform. Giving a mighty leap to the middle platform, his arms flailed in the air as he kinda over did it, but managed to land on the surface all the same. Grabbing one of the remaining neutral balls, he quickly made his way towards the red platform again, ball in hand. Ball not in hand anymore actually. It shifted to red as it landed in Gryffindor territory. |
Post 6 - Taking from the middle So many people bouncing around was enough to confuse a person. Unless they had their full attention on what they were doing. Which she did. Hady was watching closely to her team happy to see that there were more of them now. Bouncing herself between her fellow mates she made like she was on a muggle trampoline. Higher. Higher. HIGHER! This was a blast! Making a grab for a white ball from the middle platform Hady turned around and jumped her way back across the room. A small toss was used to successfully land the ball into the Slytherins platform, it changing to green and rolling away to join the pyramid for their house. Score! |
Post 6. Tossing it to Esme Quote:
The little girl ran towards the Hufflepuff platform, when she made it to the middle of the room. She saw that Esme was opened agin. 'Maybe this time it will work.' She was getting tired of chasing the same ball. "ESME! Catch!" She yelled, throwing the ball.... |
Post 10 - Catch Quote:
Esme put her game face on and prepared herself to leap as the ball went flying towards her. Keeping her eyes on Kaylee, she watched as the younger girl sent the ball flying in her direction. Quickly she swooped in and grabbed it in mid-air before rushing over to the Hufflepuff platform. Smiling, she placed it back where it belonged. It was yellow once again. |
post 2 - taking from middle ^_^ Such high energy of tossing and catching and intercepting going on in that classroom that for an instant, Tia just just wanted to hide under the blanket until it was all over. Except, hiding meant forfeiting and forfeiting meant Ravenclaw would be even further behind. So despite her best interests, the seventh year eyed the dwindling pile of white balls in the center, as she made the decision to jump up again to snatch one of the balls. Though she bet she could probably steal from Hufflepuff's corner since they seemed to be over stealing from the Snakes .... For now though, she would add as many new as she could. Holding it close to her body, she made her way towards the Ravenclaw corner as it changed to blue. |
3 -finishing earlier action Charlotte held her breath until butt boy went away which at least wasnt very long, like he was FLEEing from her or something. She bounced up toward the Gryffindor platform and deposited the white ball she had in her hands still (life had somehow divided itself into BEFORE the incident and AFTER the incident) and watched it turn red. AS RED AS HER FACE. But the best way to get past being embarassed was carrying on as usual so naturally Charlotte ROARED and then jumped from the platform. SHE NEEDED TO STEAL A BALL, THIS WAS HER ONLY HOPE. But from who? |
6; stealing from Hufflepuff because we can can caaaan That girl kept stealing from everyone! She kept taking the pretty green balls and turning them yellow... that was not okay. How could she get mad at anyone else for stealing when she kept doing it first?! Jaemin bounced himself over to the Puffaluff platform and snatched up a yellow ball; not able to hop so high to get on the platform, he simply reached over the edge and grabbed one before dropping back down toward the floor, turning in the air to look for another Slytherin. HELP! |
1-taking from the middle Elliot chewed his lip looking around. He saw the other students racing around to and from their platforms and darted out to the center, long legs propelling him into the air as he grabbed a ball from the center. He clutched it to him as he landed on one knee before running back to the Slytherin platform leaping up again to place the ball high in the air with a grin. "Yes!" |
Post 1 - Taking from the middle The other students had already started catching and passing ball's before Trixie had finished writing down everything the Professor had said and she still hadn't managed to write down everything before she threw down her quill. THERE WAS FUN TO BE HAD!!! She pushed aside her desk and eyed off the platform. She was going to have to do some serious bouncing to get up there and then over to the Gryffindor platform. She was SO ready!! Bounce! BOUNCE!! BOUNCE!! On the third bounce, Trixie found herself onto the platform where she grabbed one of the balls. It immediately turned red as she jumped off the platform and bounced her way towards the Gryffindor platform. She really hoped that she made it. |

8; taking from the middle Yes, good job! Jaemin gave the other boy a return thumbs-up and jumped away from the Puffaluff platform, moon-bouncing himself up to the middle one again to grab another white ball on his way back to the Slytherin platform. One more couldn't hurt. He pushed off super hard from the ground and grabbed the edge of the Slytherin platform, pulling himself half-onto it to put the ball with the others. Pretty pretty. What a nice green pyramid. |
Post 7- Taking from middle/mention of first year snakes! "Nice work guys!," Hady called towards the two first year snakes that were clearly working together to add more balls onto the beautifully growing Slytherin pyramid. Their house was getting themselves together and doing what had to be done. So far so good. With a slight grin still on her face the brunette hopped from one foot to the other across the floor. Hop on her right foot. Then left. Right and midair front flip just cause! Yeah, yeah so she was getting into the groove of this game. Coming out of the flip she landed with her knees meeting the middle platform kind of hard. Ouch. Well that might just bruise. With a small grumble of displeasure Hady turned and dropped back down to the floor hopping with both feet sort of bunny rabbitish to the green side. A decent bounce had her just able to push the white ball in her hands up onto the platform where it slid into place as it turned bright green. |
Post 2. Taking from the middle Kitty was starting to think that maybe this wouldn't be so dangerous for her after all - as long as she didn't try to steal a ball from another house. She was certain that if she did try to steal she would fail and might get injured, having had so little experience in physical activities. But there was no reason why she would get hurt taking balls from the center, right? With that in mind, Kitty jumped back into the main platform to grab another ball. She grabbed the closest one and jumped back to the Ravenclaw platform. It turned blue as she set it down. |
Post 3 - Stealing from Gryffindor Olly watched as the firstie he had seen earlier went to steal a ball from Hufflepuff with the help from another boy. He also saw a lot of people make their way to get the last ones from the middle. He wasn't sure if there would be more left when they were all done, plus he didn't want to be right in the middle of a bunch of people. Instead, he bounded away in a different direction. He made his way over to the Gryffindor platform. He looked around for someone that could help him. Anyone? Olly grabbed one of the balls off the Gryffindor platform and turned around quickly. He really needed some assistance. |
3- stealing from hufflepuff to even these odds Elliot's eyes darted around. He had seen that Puff girl taking a ball from the little Slytherin from before. Had she been a Claw, he may have felt bad on account of his father's house but this was different. He had no ties to this house. He stretched, eyes narrowed, as he shot across the floor to the Hufflepuff platform. His lankly legs proved perfect for once again propelling him high enough to snatch a shiny yellow ball. He held it against him looking around hoping he saw another Slytherin. They had to catch up! Had to win! |
post 4 - From Gryffindor/Throwing to Jay Olly spotted the firstie from before standing at the Slytherin platform. "Hey!" He called, hoping the boy would look his way and see what he intended to do. He didn't know his name so that was the most warning he could give under the circumstances. Without waiting another second, he threw the ball as hard as he could toward the young Slytherin. With the state of the gravity in the room, it should have no problem reaching its target. |
9; catching! Quote:
|
4-passing the Puff ball to Jaemin for the win! Elliot's eye fell upon the small Slytherin boy from before. He called out waving a hand "Hey! Another one comin your way! He jumped a little throwing the ball to the tiny Slytherin (Ameh) crossing his fingers as he released. |
7. Grabbing from the Middle Ksaw saw the Slytherin boy steal one ball and then another ball from the ball,'How dare you!', but she was too out of breathe to go chasing of them, at the moment. "I will get those back soon!" she yelled to the boy, before jumping off the platform. The brunette girl ran towards the middle, seeing only a couple of balls left, she jumped up quickly and grabbed one, before rushing back to their platform. She jumped up on to the platform, watching it turn yellow. She spun around and eyed the activity around making sure no one was trying to steal any more of their balls. |
10; catching again! Quote:
|
UPDATE! And leaping towards you, Slytherin >:D Approaching the Slytherin platform with a great leap upwards - not to worry, he would be showing each platform the same attention soon enough - the professor gave a quick glance over his shoulder at the platform in the center. LOOK AT THAT! ALL THE BALLS WERE NOW IN PLAY AND THE CENTRAL PLATFORM COMPLETELY EMPTY! With the only option now to steal from each other, things were about to get interesting. While it was a close battle presently between Gryffindor and Slytherin for first, it really was anyone's to win. OOC: The central platform is now empty! You can now only steal from other platforms. Good luck and work as a team to help lead your house to victory! |
3. Stealing from Hufflepuff GAA! Kitty had just been about to jump back to the main platform to take another ball, but there were none left. Now she had no choice but to try to steal a ball from another house. "Oh no!" Kitty moaned nervously, putting her painted black finger nails in her mouth. But she had no choice. After taking a deep breath, Kitty made a jump for the Hufflepuff platform. She approached it nervously and went for one of the balls, knowing that she had little chance at succeeding but hoping that whoever stopped her was not rough. |
chu up to, Flamsteed? >-> No more white balls? Jaemin squinted at the other platforms before hopping himself up to the Slytherin one and gripping the edge of it. With less gravity, it was super easy to just hang there like a monkey. The small boy just swayed slowly back and forth, enjoying himself and watching the professor as he flew closer. What was he dooooooing? Jaemin stuck both of his feet out in the professor's direction, just in case he was gonna get grabby with the Slytherins' stuff. |
Steal attempt: Slytherin She was trying to be as quiet and slippery as a little mouse. SLYTHERIN WAS GOING DOWN, Mel thought as she eyed the now nearly FILLED platform. Yes. She was going to do this. Slipping forward she bounced once and felt how little lift she received. Pretending she was just cold the little first year bounced again getting a little more lift and once more until she was platform level! She was going to do this. Yes. She could do this! FOR GRYFFINDOR! She thought as she moved to steal the ball from Slytherin. |

“Sorry” she chirped out more about the accidentally hair petting – yes she only really pet friends hair without their approval…but that was just HOW she was. Soon my precious she thought at the balls before giving the Slytherin first year a small nod. Well played Slytherin. “Well played”…she was glancing around trying to find the next place to attack…maybe she could steal from Hufflepuff? They seemed less guarded? “Sorry about the face-thing.” She added as she landed on the ground. |
This entire thing was utter chaos. Daxton knew it would be before the activity even started; any activity in Airey Flamsteed's lessons involving low gravity (any activity in Airey Flamsteed's lessons at all, as a matter of fact) was simply too much. Anyone could collide with anyone, projectiles could pelt through the air, the level of excitable screeching would rise. Throw in the teamwork requirement and it all just became pointless chaos. Daxton's feelings on the matter were likely clear from his unhappy expression. He moved way off to the side with the desks and lingered there for a long while even as everyone else started flailing madly about the room. But it was not just busy, it was loud, and though Daxton had his earmuffs with him (and had put them on at the first sign that this would be a noisy activity) they were simply not enough, and they did not block all the noise or the overstimulating sensory information that was... everything else. That was the thing about chaos. Well, he was not staying. And he was not asking to leave, either, because the answer would likely be 'no' and then he might be watched more closely, and then he would never be able to escape. Instead, Daxton sidled round the edge of the room and towards the door, figuring that this method at least gave him a chance. The energy of the room was convenient in this context, as it drew one's attention, and seeing as Airey Flamsteed was officiating, he might not notice anything that was happening on the sidelines. And this time, Daxton did not want to be caught out; the only suspicious thing about the Ravenclaw at all was probably the fact that he dragged his school bag along with him, and even that did not necessarily mean anything. In no time at all, he was close to the door. So close to peace, so close to quiet, but this was the part that would draw the most attention. Taking a risk and not stopping to check the room, lest it cost him valuable time, Daxton dashed the last few feet to the door and tugged it open, ready to slip through the gap and beat a hasty retreat. |
post 3 - stealing from gryffindor ;P After depositing the now blue ball in the Ravenclaw pile, Tia deliberated a moment on her next move deciding she should be bold and take from one of the other houses. Lions and badger piles were closest to the ravenclaw corner, but it seemed if she wanted Ravenclaw to have a chance at winning, stealing some of those red balls might be her best chances. Besides, surely they wouldn't try to intercept the head girl, would they? She was nice to them Sliding against the wall to remain as inconspicuous as possible, Tia debated a summoning charm before deciding Flamsteed PROBABLY had spells in place to prevent them from using such a charm. She could do this. Closing her eyes, she reached out and snatched one of the red balls while the Gryffindor students were preoccupied, and quickly looked around for someone from her house to pass to ... |

THAT BALL WAS NOT GOING TO LEAVE ITS PLATFORM…not really. Mel thought as she launched herself UP and tried to get into the way of any possible pass Tia was going to make. |
Erm, just getting Tia's attention xD Quote:
This was her chance to work with her Student Leader Idol, fellow Ravenclaw- Tia. She focused her attention on the older girl completely for now. Post 1 - stealing from Gryffindor The game was moving too fast for Dot's tastes, considering she really just wanted to try out a few leaps and spins in the corner. Honestly, by the time she got her feet under her, the platform was empty, which left her to do some ugly hand to hand combat with her classmates. Ugggggh. Why did they always play games in this class? Didn't Flamsteed want to teach them? Noooo, he wanted to turn them into werewolves and yell at them and make them feel bad about... Oh, right. Game. She tried some nice springy leaps toward the Gryffindor pile of balls, since it was biggest and they looked distracted and it was farthest from her spot, for optimal springing. Her leaps actually took her well past the balls, into the wall, and Dot found that she was actually in the perfect position to steal a ball. Like super perfect. No one in sight. |
post 4 - quick toss, maybe? o.O Quote:

Hearing Rachel call out to her, Tia only had a split second to consider the possibilities and just went for the latter of the two options, hoping for the best she made an underhand throw to pass the ball underneath Mel's feet, just hoping it was enough time. |
Post 7- Catching Tia's toss Quote:
She kept her eyes on the incoming ball. She already had her arms outstretched. She was going to make the catch, she just knew it! All she needed to do was to keep focused. Keep focusing, that was it. She could do this! Rachel did! She caught the ball with both hands, jumped onto the Ravenclaw platform and placed the ball on the pile. Throwing under worked just fine. |
4. Looking for someone to pass the Hufflepuff ball Now that Kitty had the ball, she just had to find someone to toss it too. She was still standing on the platform, getting more and more nervous that one of the Hufflepuffs would see her on their platform with a ball and would try to pull it from her hand. |
post 2 - Slytherin pass attempt It seemed impossible to believe, but Dot's bounding and terrible stealing skills really DID seem to go unnoticed by her classmates of the Lion House. Maybe that meant she gave off an obvious air of not being a threat at all, but that was all the better. Don't underestimate the Slytherin ginger... even if she was doomed for destruction and disease and was currently wearing ugly, practical shoes. Dot tucked the ball under her arm and took a step away from the pile of balls, eyes watching for a classmate of the Snake variety to catch her ball. Hello? Any... oh, surely someone would catch it. "SLYTHERIN PASS UP FOR GRABS!" She threw it... and hoped for the best. |
catching! idek what post I'm at. Quote:

6-Stealing from those puffs! Elliot heard a call for Slytherin pass and looked up just in time to see the ball flying through the air. He took this opportunity to dart back over to the Hufflepuff platform and grab another yellow ball. He chewed his lip clutching the ball looking for another snake to take the pass |
post 5 - stealing from hufflepuff now mwaha That was nerve-wrecking; Tia felt her heart pounding and it took a moment to catch her breath after it seemed the underhand toss worked. Gazing around at each of the house corners, the seventh year considered them a moment before she quietly jumped in the air and worked her way across the room towards the pile of yellow balls. If they could just steal ALL their balls into the Ravenclaw corner, perhaps it would be enough to bump them from the lowest number of balls. Sadly she could only steal one at a time, as she recalled from earlier when Haddie attempted to steal two. That was okay, she could steal one at a time. And Rachel could catch and defend their pile. Giving a small wink towards the first year, she made a quick grab at one of the yellow balls and turned back towards the Ravenclaw base and where the first year was waiting. |
Post 8- Waiting on Tia to throw! Quote:
It seemed she was better at catching for her dear House. Yes, indeed. Rachel still think she would feel bad if she actually stole a ball from one of the other three Houses. Come on, Tia. Throw the ball before a Hufflepuff tried to prevent you from doing so. |
post 6 - throwing the ball! Quote:
Rachel was ready! And Tia took advantage of the first year's readiness by quickly throwing the yellow ball before one of those badgers had the moment to intercept. |
Post 1 - Ready for a Badger Ball Quote:
But...oh look, a fellow Ravenclaw was up on the Hufflepuff platform looking to through it somewhere. "Over here..." she said, trying to get her housemate's attention so she could catch it and move on. |
Post 9- Catching Tia's throw! Quote:
The Ravenclaw didn't think so but she resumed focusing on the ball Tia had tossed her. Being right on the platform still, Rachel wouldn't have to go far to drop it into the pile. Smiling, she caught the ball, again with both hands. She felt so much accomplished as she added it to the pile and watched it turn blue. |
passing the Hufflepuff ball to Jay! Elliot spotted the boy from before (Ameh) by the Slytherin platform and took a breath before shouting to him. "Heads up!" He threw the ball hoping for the best |
catching! Quote:
He'd just hang there again. It was fun. |
Post 3 - Attempted steal from Gryffindor And they scored! Did anyone see that? Dottie actually helped someone score! In a team sport! That didn't involve leg warmers!! No? No one noticed? She could continue to be useful, even if she didn't think she was much good at catching. Maybe lack of gravity made her a surprise stellar athlete? That didn't seem likely. Again, Dot grabbed for a ball from the Gryffindor stack, since it seemed like she was just generally being ignored at the moment. |
#3 stealing from Puff SPOILER!!: Amur Huh? Tag team? Zeke considered Amur for a moment before his face split into a grin. "Tag team," he confirmed with a nod. Because obviously teamwork had its benefits. Mmmhhmm. The only question that remained was... which House would be their victim? Did it matter? No. "Go long!" he stated with enthusiasm, arms flailing as he pushed himself in the direction of the Hufflepuff camp. He managed to get a hand on a yellow ball, and stole it away. Teeheee! And then as he drifted down from the platform he looked for Amur. Was she ready to catch?! |
5. Passing the Hufflepuff ball to Olivia Quote:
|
Post 4 - Slytherin pass attempt REALLY? WAS SHE INVISIBLE TODAY? Dot grabbed the ball and hopped back out into a clear space in the room, again roving for someone to catch her toss. Perhaps she also whooped it up a little, in a way that was entirely not lady-like at all. "Who's open? Who..." Dot bounded back and forth at the Gryffindor end of the room, looking for someone... anyone... who... THERE. Those younger Slytherins were doing an amazing job acting as receivers right by their platform. Dot hissed before letting the ball fly through the air in their direction. |
Post 2; getting ready to recieve throw from Zeke SPOILER!!: Zeke It was PURE CHAOS! Which meant that Amur was grinning ear to ear, wide and proud. Especially when Zeke seemed to catch her drift. Amur went long, though she wasn't entirely sure which long she was supposed to be going. It seemed Zeke was going Hufflepuff long, which meant she was going PAST the Gryffindor platform long. With ghusto she jumped onto her chosen spot, shooting up a good few feet in the air and thrusting her arms up, ready to catch. "BOUNCE IT OFF THE ROOF!" Cause no one would think of being able to intercept that, right? |

Post 2 - Catching Puffer Ball from Ravenclaw teammate Quote:
Olivia tried her best not to bounce or move too much as she waited for the response from the other girl. Less gravity had its interesting qualities. And then there was the raised arms and hands in search of catching the ball that was eventually thrown her way. It was going relatively straight and towards her, but maybe not quite as far. Biting her lip, the first year shifted herself forward to grab for it, relieved as she managed to grab it as she bounced slightly in her movements. One part done...her gaze now turning to the Ravenclaw platform. |
#4 passing to Amur SPOILER!!: Amur He saw her, and they were going to ACE this. They were, they would. They'd do all the winning and Gryffindor would be VICTORIOUS... cause, he totally wasn't competitive or anything. Nope. Amur's idea though, was truly genius. Bounce it off the ceiling. Brilliant. Bracing himself, he held the ball as if he would a shot-put, and with GREAT gusto, tossed it at the ceiling between them, hoping the angle was right enough for a) the ball the make it to her and b) for her to be able to catch it. He watched with great anticipation, his grin becoming dangerously wide as he watched it soar. |
Post 3 - Bouncing and Placing Ball in Ravenclaw With the ball securely in her possession, all there was left to do was get it into the home spot for her house. Olivia didn't trust just throwing it so she made sure she had a good hold on her catch and headed over closer, a clear bounce in her steps now. Maybe even gaining a little air in the process. "Zoinks..." she said when she finally landed in a better position to secure the stolen ball. Taking a more strategic bounce, Olivia went up and up, needing to head up the several feet to the Ravenclaw platform hanging there. It took a couple of tries, but she finally was able to place the purloined ball in its new, hopefully permanent, homes. |
Post 3; catching Hufflepuff ball and depositing for Gryffindor SPOILER!!: Zeke! He got it! He heard her! He was going for it!!!!!! ..........THAT WAS QUITE THE THROW! So much so that Amur greatly feared for her face. Extending her arms out in front of her, Amur squeaked a little as the ball came racing towards her. She might have closed her eyes too, if keeping track of the ball wasn't so imperative. Having somewhat invisible hands meant she had to use SOME coordination. The ball made a thwack against her skin, and her fingers curled around it reflexively. Amur blinked, stared and then grinned. "Got it! Toss another!" While she raced back towards the Gryffindor platform and dropped the ball onto it. Point for Gryffindor! Was it appropriate to let out a roar?! |
#5 stealing a Ravenclaw ball SPOILER!!: Amur .............. .................... In an effort to see better, Zeke had moved away from the Hufflepuff platform, drifting off to a point nearer the middle of the room, but closer to the Ravenclaw platform, his head tilting on an angle as he watched the ball rise, and fall and aim directly for Amur "Great catch!" he called out over the noise of their peers. But there was no time to be wasted. If this was going to be all the 'Astronomy' he would truly be able to appreciate, then he would make the most of every second. Jumping at the Ravenclaw platform, Zeke used his arms (flailing slightly) to direct himself into landing. Success! And with that, Zeke plucked a blue ball from the Ravenclaw pseudo-pyramid and hopped back down from the platform. Weeeeeeee! "Same again?!" he called, because the ceiling thing seemed to be working for them, despite it hardly being a 'trend' yet. |
Post 1 - Stealing from Ravenclaw! Scarlett hadn't been fast enough to get one of the balls from the middle, but that was ok - she was smaller and knew she probably didn't have much of a shot anyways. But that was ok, because now she could focus on being a sneaky thief and contribute to Hufflepuff that way! Her plan was to take from Ravenclaw because - well, they'd started out behind Hufflepuff and she wanted to KEEP them down. Eyes set on the pyramid of balls on their platform, she took a step and then LEAPED off on her second step, bouncing and then jumping again until she was near the ball pyramid. She reached out and grabbed one in her hand, turned on her heel, and prepared to throw... |
post 7 - intercepting! Quote:
"Oh no you don't!" The seventh year bounced over towards the fifth year and didn't even try to block his throw. No, she merely just tackled on top of him, because that was the easiest way for her to intercept the pass. |
Post 4 - Stealing from Gryffindor Olly sent a thumbs up to the boy who had caught the ball he'd thrown. Since he was already over by the Gryffindor platform, he thought he might as well steal more from them. The middle was empty anyway. Now they were down to the interesting part of the competition. Olly glanced around furtively and grabbed a Gryffindor ball. He was as inconspicuous as one could be in such a situation. Quickly, he spun and searched for a Slytherin to throw to. |
Post 2 :: Stealing from Gryffindor Quote:
She pushed herself toward the Gryffindor's platform, her eyes set on the red balls. She needed to get one, land it safely on the Slytherin's platform, and then watch it turn a beautiful shade of GREEN! Reaching the platform, Ariadne reached out for a ball but only managed to float even further away from the platform than she'd been before. UGH. This was not helpful. She pushed through again but nearly collided into another student. What in the name of--- OHHH! It was a Slytherin student with a red ball! "I'M OPEN!" she called out. If she couldn't steal a ball, she could accept a pass! Arms waving in the air, Ariadne waited for the ball to be thrown her way. |

Pass Interception! Quote:
Hopping down from the Gryffindor platform, he sought out which house's platform to steal from... only to see someone was already stealing from theirs. This... he shouldn't have moved. Glancing to the girl who called out, he kinda placed himself in between the two. With his tongue sticking out, he eyed the Slytherin who had the red ball, wiggling in place before giving a great leap up... Intercepted! ...Aaand falling back to the ground. |
Steal attempt : Hufflepuff So stealing from slytherin hadn’t worked…Mel wasn’t sulking nope, even if her face was still a bit red from that mishap with Tia and the Gryffindor balls being stolen…they were losing all of their balls…now, she had to do it. She HAD to make back their points her precious precious balls. Looking around the room for any free Gryffindors she snuck her way toward the hufflepuff platform as quietly as possible. SHE WAS GOING TO DO THIS. Thrusting into the air and floating up up up up up up up she made her way toward the floating Hufflepuff platform. Reaching her little grabby hands out was the easy part...she just hoped she wasn’t that noticeable. |
Post 3 :: Stealing from Gryffindor Quote:
It was a blur of redness, and suddenly Ariadne pictured herself on a Quidditch field! It was her dream to get out there and play, and this was just like how it'd be out there on that field! She eyed the ball the whole way, and when it got close to her, she--...WAIT. WHAAAAAAT. Some Gryffindor boy had stolen the ball!!! HOW DARE HE. She had been so close to victory! She didn't dare look at the Slytherin boy who'd tried to throw it to her. SOOO SORRY! But this was not a moment to be lost! She was still RIGHT THERE by the Gryffindor platform, so she snatched away a different ball. Now to pass! Was the boy she'd just been trying to catch from still around?! She now had a ball to THROW! |
The fall to the ground seemed like it took forever, but he did finally land. On his behind. Was just getting all the attention today wasn't it. Scrambling back up, he jogged back over closer to the Gryffindor side and leaped up to the platform to place the red ball back where it came from. Their pile was smaller. Enough to make his lip jut out slightly, but not enough to dampen the spirits. The game was only JUST beginning! Not at all discouraged, he looked around again for the easiest platform to steal from... or if someone needed to pass to another. |
Steal success : hufflepuff, -- pass? MEL HAD IT IN HER HANDS. The yellow ball WAS so going to turn red. Soon. Looking around she started to fall slowly toward the ground with the yellow ball tucked into her arm. SHE NEEDED TO FIND SOMEONE TO PASS TO. WHO WAS SHE GOING TO SEND THIS BALL TO? She needed to do this quickly before a hufflepuff noticed her or more noticed their yellow ball tucked in her little arms. |
open for a pass from Slytherin Quote:

Quote:
"Oh, OH, HEY!" he flailed his arms a little, spotting the Gryffindor girl from before. This was totally a smart move. Put all the attention on them! Though granted, how else was he going to get the girl's attention. "HEY! I'm open!" |
Pass attempt Quote:
And the ball was in the air – she just hoped it worked. That he caught it and it wasn’t intercepted…not that it seemed like people were paying attention to her…the fools. |
#6 tackling with Tia??? SPOILER!!: zomg Tia XD One second he had a clear path to take a shot off to Amur... and the next second he was being attacked by the Head Girl. ... he could hardly blame her though. Chuckling, he maintained his grip on the ball with one hand tucking it under his elbow, but struggled somewhat under Tia's weight - not that she was heavy, she wasn't, the lack of gravity thing helped with that too. But no, he was losing his balance and petering over onto his side, effectively taking her with him. His free arm gripped hers. If she was taking him down, he would take her with him. "If you wanted to hug me, all you had to do was ask," he smirked in the process, because LULZ, she must have just wanted to touch him. He still had the ball. |
Defending attempt! Quote:
Tenacius just kept bounce floating looking to defend his house' platform Hey wait... Is that little blur Ariadne? "Not today Ariadne" Tenacius hollered laughing, going after the Slytherin brunette just as he heard her team mate asking for the pass. |
