Dot could go with either the Moxinator, or Professor Myers, and it was a hard choice because she adore them both. She just was absolutely NOT going with Flamsteed, because he'd probably drop her in an ocean along the way and say she jumped. He'd turned her into a werewolf once. The man had no morals. So Dot chose Professor Myers, because she was sure he'd keep her safe and sound all the way to... wherever they were going. "Professor, d'you want me to accessorize you, too?" |
It was too bad that Rachel and Haddie couldn't come on the trip but Esme understood why that decision had been made. Haddie in particular seemed the worst for wear and the portkeys would definitely not help matters. She sent both girls looks of sympathy before turning her attention back to Professor Flamsteed. As soon as everything from the blackboard had been written down, she packed her stuff up and headed towards Professor Myers. The hula hoop and piñata were bigger, but Esme wanted to stick with her Head of House. She was the most familiar and comfortable with him and knew that she would be In good hands. Besides this wasn't her first time travelling this way so she knew the drill. Smiling at the Professor and the rest of her travel group, she grabbed a hold of the shoe. |

.......................... Did she really have to add insult to injury and wink at him? Maybe he could find a moment during the excursion to...ahem...have a word with her.... Quote:

Checking his sundial watch one last time, the professor gave his group a firm nod and then offered one to his colleagues as well. "Alright everyone, hold on tight!" he instructed his group as well as the class as a whole. "In 10...9...8...7..." "3...2...1..." OOC: off we go! Please DO declone here first before posting in the new thread ^_^ |
After the whole class portkeyed away:: Rachel Annnnnnd the class just vanished from the tower. That was soooo cool!! How did that even work!? It was, uh.... wait... Haddie sat up and looked over at Rachel. "Uh, they left us," she pointed out. Not left them behind from the trip, that was a given, but... "So...? I guess we just, uh, walk ourselves down to the healer, then?" Some great concern the professors had for them, huh? Unless... She looked back at Freckles. "Do you think they knew?" After a moment of thought, Haddie shook her head. Nah. If they knew they had engorged their own limbs, they would have just fixed it and Rach and her would be out cleaning up someplace with the rest of the school... right? She looked back up at Rachel for confirmation. "Okay, well, uh, you fix me, I fix you?" |
Portkey time! Ava decided to join Professor Myers with the giant shoe portkey. "Hello, Professor!" The young lioness smiled to that man. She grabbed the portkey with her left hand and.... Here we go! What would they gonna do on this field trip? She was very looking forward because THIS SHOULD BE FUN!!!! HEHEHE. |
Charlotte chose Moxley, or perhaps it was more accurate to say that Charlotte chose the PINATA! PRRETTY COLLLOURRRS! Also, she was a pro at portkeying so there wasn't an ounce of apprehension in her when she skipped over and put her hand on it. Ready to go and--- GONE! |
Elsa did as the professor advised and held on to the hula hoop with both hands. Then the five minutes were gone and she felt a pulling sensation anchoring her from the stomach outwards and pulling her and everyone else out of there. Gone! |
They were travelling by portkey? How awesome! She'd never travelled like that before, her Pa always favouring the Floo Network via the Leaky. Sam headed over to the weird plastic thing held by Professor Myers, giving Rachel and Haddie an apologetic smile on the way. "I'll see if I can brin' yeh bac' sumfing too. 'ope ya feel betteh soon." And then three...two...one, she was gone! |
Genny dropped the friend-choosing nonsense just when Professor Flamsteed mentioned Portkeys. She exchanged excited grins with Sam and sat up in her chair, watching the three beautiful portkeys hover in the air as they were summoned. Choosing was HARD, she loved the hula hoop! Not to mention that her head of house had that and she trusted him the most (even more than the fun headmistress and the nice grandpa-looking Meyers), but the pinata was so colorful she definitely wanted to touch it. The shoe thing was so strange she wanted to get a closer look at it, too. Quote:

It was time to go and Janelle held onto the hula hoop as tightly than she could. Professor Flamsteed began the countdown and she closed her eyes. And then......that horrible feeling took over. Janelle hated traveling by portkey, but what else could she do? Only one way to get to the field trip. |
Before she knew it Hady had to make a choice quickly. Which Professor would she be traveling with via portkey? Taking a quick glance around she noticed not to many others were joining the Headmistress. Strange but not so much so. Without further thought upon it the fifth year made her way over to where Moxley was stood holding the incredibly brightly colored pinata. "Hello Headmistress," she greeted softly laying a hand on the pinata just before the countdown had begun. Instantly she felt that tug in her stomach that she had grown somewhat used to by now as she was zipped away to their destination. |
Matt went off to hold te portkey with the professor who was nearest him, who happened to be professor Myers who HAPPENNNNEEEDDD to be holding a giant croc shoe. HAHA. The Gryffindor got ready, reaching out to hold the giant shoe and bounced on spot as professor Flamsteed counted down. COME ON, WHY WAS IT TAKING SO LON- Gone! |
Mel was so excited about this. Reaching out her hands Mel clasped onto the portkey nearest her. The piñata of course. The feeling of portkeying wasn’t exactly new to her, but it wasn’t a well-liked experience as it were. She didn’t wish everyone luck but she had thought about it briefly before the tugging sensation reminded her to close her mouth and eyes. Yes, she did not want to see anything as the world around her twisted and shifted into a different location all together. |
Kitty did as Professor Flamsteed instructed and held on to the hula hoop tightly. She was excited but also nervous, remembering being poisoned at the potions lesson and not having the correct antidote. Hopefully nothing like that would happen this time and they would have a fun field trip. She closed her eyes as the professor counted down, and then felt a sucking sensation in her stomach and a feeling of spinning around madly in a circle. Vanished! |
He made sure everyone was holding on tightly--Jay, Dot, Esme, Ava, Sam, Genny, and Matt so far-- "Okay guys, hold on TIGHTLY--" he warned. "And yes, Dot, please accessorize me once we're there..." he smirked. Accessorizing was fun, right? And Dot was good at it, clearly, he noted. And---the portkey, with a JERK at the back of his neck, yanked them away to their next destination. |
Terraforming, eh? Well, Katherine wasn't a fan of it, because she wasn't going away to another planet anytime soon. She loved it here very much, thank you. However, science was science OH WAIT THEY WERE TRAVELLING WITH A PORTKEY WAS THIS HOW IT FELT LIKE SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT WHOSE IDEA HAD THIS BEEEEEEEEEEN - |
With everything that seemed to be happening with Rachel and Haddie, especially them not going on the field trip, Olivia was torn between being concerned for her friends and dormmates and the questions being asked. As such, she was simply listening not supplying any answers of her own into the question. And trying to remember what was being said and written on the board since she mistakenly didn’t have any parchment given the nature of today’s supplies. And now they were getting ready to go. Olivia wasn’t a fan of portkeys but she hadn’t had one of those revisiting her breakfast scenes since she was much younger. Hopefully she could keep up that record for today. Doing as instructed, the first year tried to pick a portkey that so that they were evenly divided, eventually winding up with Flamsteed himself and his hoop thing. She took hold of it securely in her grasp and waited for the feeling before closing her eyes as they vanished. Terraforming here they came. |
*declones* The Moxinator had just enough time to make sure all the ickles hanging on to the pinata with her had a tight grip when Rocketman started the countdown. EEEEEP! She couldn't help but squeak in excitement. There was a squeak, the unsettling tug she felt, and they were off to their destination! |
Azura was holding on tightly to the Pinata as suddenly she felt something tug at her! She gave a slightly frightened squeak as she looked up at the Headmistress and then.. BAM!! She was gone..like a freight train! |
Hold on tightly. Right. Jaemin gripped onto the ugly shoe thing really tight and looked nervously up at Paul as Professor Flamsteed started counting... he barely heard the call of "one" before something in his stomach seemed to hitch, and he let out a nervous sound as he disappeared along with everyone else from the classroom. |
Brian had never been on a Portkey. Not ever in his fifteen years of life. Granted, that was because he'd thought he was a muggle for over ten years of them but STILL. Never taken a portkey. Though he was holding a pinata now, which was a strange mode of transport. So he counted along with the countdown. Yup. AND THEN THE PINATA GLOWED BLUE AND HE WAS SO CONFUSED. WHY WAS IT BLUE? THE WIZARDING WORLD NEVER CEASED TO BE STRANGE. And then the jerking sensation behind his navel. Yeah. Not comfortable. But he was gone, so he supposed it was effective. |
Ariadne looked up at Flamsteed, who was saying 'Quite welcome' for some reason or another. What had they been talking about? OH, YEAH. PEBBLES! The pet rock that she once upon a time for five minutes babysat. She smiled at him but had nooooo time for anything else. She felt a weird tugging sensation, and then... THEY WERE OFF! |

She grinned a Myers, though, and held tight to the Portkey as it tugged them all out of the room. |
Zeke was bored with the whole LAND DEGRDATION list thing... were they supposed to make a note of it? Or something? Because he wasn't, instead he was thinking of what he had for breakfast that morning, and his plans with Maggie the next day. Better things. Obviously. What he DID pay attention to, was the directions for port-keyage, which meant, he had to pick a Prof. Flamsteed was out of the question, and between Moxley and Myers he was simply going to have to make a snap judgement. And that he did. Moving quickly he took up a position with Myers' group and when the time came, felt himself being pulled out of the room. |
Carl had been jotting down notes silently, not knowing much about the topic. Then, he packed his parchment into his bag and secured it onto his shoulders. He did not want to lose his notes during the transportation process! He walked towards his Head of House Professor Myers, his strides a bit awkward because of the weird attire. The Hufflepuff looked at the giant shoe in the Professor's hands skeptically. This was a Portkey? He could not believe that this thing would take them to - well, wherever they were going. Placing both hands on the heel of the shoe, he took a deep breath and mentally told himself that everything was going to be okay. Right. With a swoosh, Carl felt himself being yanked away into nothingness. He closed his eyes shut. |
