It's early in the morning on a cold November day. The Hag has a nice warm fire near her tent with a big pot. There has been rubbish piles set up all around the fire so that students could come and sit and be close to the fire. Is the Hag expecting to do a lesson today or has she just been hoping a bunch of children would gather around her nice warm fire?
Ursula can be found right near the fire, but she isn't paying any attention to the students gathering. She is trying to get something ready, but what is it? Stirring the liquid in the pot she finally notices the arrival of her class.
"Come dearies and sit near the fire. You don't want to catch your death in this cold."
Everyone kept yelling. There was so much more noise now, and Jaemin was slowly trying to figure out why. The air wasn't smoky now, and while his nose and throat still stung from breathing it in... things were getting a little clearer. The screaming was because of the old lady. The old lady had thrown a Puffaluff in the pot. The Headmistress and a professor had shown up... to stop her from boiling him and eating him? The old lady really had tried to eat someone, and she'd probably wanted to eat the rest of them too.
What kind of school was this?!
"I wanna go home," he whispered, a whimper in his voice. He rubbed at his eyes and opened them, blinking a bit blearily and watching as the bird started pecking at people. EVERYTHING WAS AWFUL. Especially when the Headmistress went down. Where had the old lady gone?!
The little boy flopped a little and rolled himself onto his side, his body taking its sweet time to become coordinated for movement again, and he half-stumbled a bit further away from everything that was happening. He hadn't seen the old woman run off, and he didn't want to be the closest to her should she come out of the fray of people still near the pot.

Y’know, if James wasn’t frozen he probably would’ve thrown the first year (Brady) back into the pot. Luckily for both of them, he was frozen. Actually it wasn’t lucky for James. But for the boy. He was safe. For the moment.
Kids screaming. Hag fleeing. Birds attacking. What else could go wrong?
Oh. Meredith. She was stupefied. GREAT. Bloody fantastic.
This was even worse than the food fight and he— Oh. Movement. Well, Miss Head Girl just earned herself five million points in his book, which did NOT happen very often. He gave her a nod in thanks, however, the was trouble to attend to at the moment so he’d get a word with her later, he was sure.
As for immediate action, he quickly flicked his wand towards the castle. A wispy Genet emerged from the tip and bounced around a little. James gave it quick instructions to notify one of the other professors before turning back to the chaos at hand.
Noticing a few students running back towards the castle, James addressed the group. ”First through third years, if you feel well enough to walk back to the castle find an older student to take you back,” he had to yell over all the screaming and Merlin, what a day. ”Those injured should head to the hospital wing!” Those that stuck around could help fight off the birds, yeah?
That took care of that, but another Professor could help make the job easier. Oh which reminded him, ”Rennervate!”Meredith wake up. Thanks.

Oh, goodie. Everyone was leaving now. Heading back to the castle to continue their lives as regular, mobile students. Guess that meant Haddie and Kitty were just going to be permanent statues of Hogwarts now...?
She wondered where they'd place her. Hopefully she wouldn't be stuck out here by this smelly tent the rest of her life... if she was going to be a statue now, would she still be aging? Guess Haddie'll find out eventually. In the meantime, she hoped they'd place her up on the 4th floor balcony, for the view, you know...

Austin was happy to be moving again, and glad today's class didn't involve any confrontation. Maybe there was for other students, and even the headmaster, but for him, it was just another day. Another day that involved getting frozen to seats! Thankfully they were all dismissed, and free from the immobilization.
Getting up, and throwing the messenger bag over his shoulder he looked around at everyone else. The COMC professor said for the younger students to find an older buddy. But to be honest, it was him who needed an older friend. He hated situations that involved confrontation or violence. There wasn't even much violence going on here. But she was about to eat them! What was going on this year?
Now is not the time to panic He thought. The danger is over. Time to be a fifth year Ravenclaw.
Clearing his throat, and hoping he sounded authoritative, he spoke. "Does anyone need any assistance?" He was pretty good at healing spells, if that helped.

But... Merlin wasn't here and what was Professor Draper doing without him? This was soooooooooo confusing and she felt useless. Still, she tried to watch what was going on. The smoke had begun to disappear a little now, so she could think a tiny bit more clearly.
1. She was being dragged.
2. The professors were here.
3. A kid was saved from the pot.
4. The Hag disappeared.
Luckily, she had missed the snakes around Blaise's legs, because she would probably have lost her mind at that. She truly owed this person her life, but she was still too confused to acknowledge that now. Instead, she stayed put on the spot Jacen (THAT was his name!) had dropped her to cast a spell at the bird and tried her BEST to think and move.
This must be the WORST day EVER for the young Ravenclaw. He knew he lost control because of his frustration, and now...he actually stupefied a professor, and not just a professor but the bloody Headmistress herself. Jace paled as he saw what happened, and his hands got colder at the sight of his petrified professor. His eyes grew large and started to curse in his mother tongue. “No, no, no! That’s not how it’s supposed to be! PROFESSOR PLEASE WAKE UP!” Jace was obviously panicking, as he quickly removed the scarf that covered his nose and face. Counter-spell. What was the counter-spell for the stunning spell??? That moment, he couldn’t think of a single answer, and he was on the verge of hauling Moxley himself if things got worse.
Turning, Jace faced his fellow Ravenclaw, Katherine, and gestured for her to run back to the castle. “What are you waiting for? Go back to the castle!” As for him, he’d stay here until there’s progress regarding his stunned professor. He did cause her this, so it was just right to stay right behind her and not allow that bloody bird of Ursula Black to maul her further. Nope, she won’t be bird chow anytime soon. Samurai Jace, no matter how stupid he looked right now, was going to guard her.
He’d heard Professor Draper throw instructions, and wildly looked around for an older student to run with. As soon as he thought of his plan though, he shook his head and decided that he would respectfully decline Professor Draper’s order to guard the Headmistress. He was being stupid, but at least he was being true to himself as a budding samurai.
He’d heard Professor Draper utter a spell, and directed it to Professor Moxley. She really really needs to wake up now, or else, this child will have to pull her by her arms, all the way to the castle. “Professor Moxley?...Headmistress?”
Today’s a terrible day to live, really.

It looked like they're going to eat Hufflepuff soup today. Unfortunately she didn't eat meat so she just gonna enjoy the cooking demo from the Hag. But she prefer if there's no smoke tho. Weird. She feel weird and confused. What happen? Where's she? Oh. Right. The Divination class.
Then she heard screaming. A lot of screaming children. Moxley and Professor McVet coming to the rescue.
The Hag flee as soon Moxley said she need to come with her. Coward! Then birds attacking. More screaming children. Today was definitely not a good day. She need to move fast! But unfortunately for her, her brain is still not 100% functioning. All thanks to the smoke.

So much was happening all at once. The fogginess in her head was slowly beginning to fade away and Hady could remember what had happened. Something needed to be done and from what she could tell now the Head Girl had already taken care of Professor Draper who in turn revived their Headmistress. Things were starting to come under control...slowly.
Blinking a few times and gently running her head the fifth year knew she was able to help now. Removing her wand from it's holster on her wrist and looking around she would take care of those that needed it the best she could. Spotting the two younger girls Haddie and Kitty she saw they still remained frozen in place. Not a good sign but she would take care of that right now. Aiming her wand at them in turn she cast a 'finite incantatem' to unfreeze them both. That was certainly a good start. If they needed to go to the healer she had no problem walking with them to make sure they arrived alright. "Do you need to see the Healer?," she asked both girls quietly not entirely sure how long they had been frozen for what with all the confusion and such.

So many things happened and her brain still needed a moment or two to process all of these.
Ava noticed that Professor Draper and Moxley came to rescue them. This was good, okay? And why on earth the hag was lying to them? There's no way that hufflepuff kid jumped into that pot by himself. Did she think that those Professors would believe her? No way, they were smarter enough to be fooled by those nonsense.
Then the hag was disappeared. Wow, she's so heroic. #sarcasm.
If she wasn't frozen currently, she might gonna chase and throw a hex toward her.
Now Draper was being frozen too.... Damn! Were all of them would be frozen forever in here? Apparently not, the Head Girl came and rescued... the CoMC Professor. Whaaaat??? Don't only unfreeze him, but DO IT TO ALL STUDENT, PLEASE!!!
The young lioness noticed someone sent a stunning charm to the bird, but it was a miss and hit the Headmistress. Bet that the one who did that wasn't a member of dueling club because his skill was so poor. She could've done better, okay? Once Draper was being unfreeze, he did the counter-charm to all of them and the headmistress. Now they were asked to leave the place immediately. Okay... should she just leave already? Where's Candice, Yoongi and/or Frankie?

One professor down ... no, two down because it seemed Headmistress was down too. But she'd already hopefully countered Draper's freezing spell, so now it was just a waiting and evading game. The stupefying on the bird seemed to help a little. Tia glanced back at the Creatures professor and breathed a sigh of relief when he came-to. Not only that, he sent off a patronus to the castle and woke the Headmistress. While perhaps on some level she should have unfrozen her peers; having an adult who was useful was better in the long run. Because 1) she wasn't sure on her patronus abilities quite yet and 2) well he just should have been more competent than she.
She looked around at the mess and students making their way towards the castle and helping each other. She could have offered to help a younger student, but it seemed she was the only older student casting counter charms successfully, so perhaps that was where her priorities should lie. Helping out Draper and containing that darn bird.
"I'll stay and help rejuvenate those who need tended to here," Tia said to the Creatures professor. "And help contain that bird." Wherever it was now?

He had been in his office minding his own business when all of the sudden a patronous was there. What the hell? He listened to the brief explanation, the hag did what? This school was really in bad shape. Shaking his head he got up and made his way to the ground. Seeing the pot, seeing the students, and was that the Headmistress laying next to a dead bird? This was just beyond annoying.
Making his way towards James, just as he had given the instruction for the children to leave either to their dorms or the healer, he held his wand tightly, "What in Merlin's pants happened?" The scene itself was enough for him to guess, "Where is the hag?" He looked at some of the students and that is when he noticed the Head Boy's eyes moving, but not him. Flicking his wand towards the boy he did a counter charm to unfreeze him before turning to look at the others.
Thankfully his charms could help with a few things. "If you have antlers or anything else wrong with you that isn't an injury please come over here. The rest do as Professor Draper has said. We don't need anyone sticking around." Especially if the hag was not around.
Glancing back at James he motion towards Meredith, "Do you want to tend to her while I do some counter charms this mess?"

When things did start clicking was when the smoke began to clear. It lifted, along with the fog in her mind, but the nausea only seemed to settle a bit more firmly. Amur crawled away from where she had first got sick and did her best not to do so again. She wasn't a weakling by any stretch of the imagination, but there were things that one just shouldn't have to handle.
Truth be told, she almost wished the smoke would come back. The whole kuffufle not making sense was more blessed than the truth.
Pushing herself onto her knees, Amur blinked around blearily. There was a lot of yelling, some more flailing as people regained their motor functions and a few very frazzled looking Professors. No hag though. No more bird. Still a cooking pot though.
Amur turned her back on it, and thought briefly about moving over to Mr. Jungle Ninja just because he seemed about the safest point to gather to at the moment. Returning to the school was not really what she wanted to do. Hunting the hag was even less of what she wanted to do though. Gryffindor courage maxed out, or reserved for some other needed even. Just not children-eating-hags.
It was at this point of deliberation that Amur noticed a young firstie stumbling away from the scene. He looked as uncoordinated as she felt, and as alone. So, gathering her feet under her, Amur stumble-ran to the kid, being careful to slow down as she reached him and not get a wand to her face.
"Hey.....need...an extra pair of wobbly legs?" If she had said 'support' she would have been a liar. She felt as steady as a seaman off the boat. Still, two seamen were better than one, and she held out her arm to him.

Just when Kitty was starting to wonder if anyone could see that she and Haddie were still frozen, Hady ( the student who had partnered with her in the Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson) came and rescued them - using an enchantment to undo the Hag's spell.
Kitty sank to the ground in relief, her legs hurting from having to stand for so long. "THANK YOU!" She groaned, her mouth feeling very dry."I was starting to wonder if the Hag had made us invisible." Aside from the soreness, her head hurt from the bird pecking and scratching her. It was nice of Hady to offer to take her to the Hospital Wing, but she didn't know if she would be able to walk there. "Do you think I should?" Kitty asked her with concern. "My legs really don't feel like walking." Just then her began to sting nastily. "GAA!!! Stupid bird!" She messaged her head gently.
She looked at Haddie. "Are you okay?"

Lucky James was there and moving again or Moxley would've had herself a nice nap during the chaos and while she LOVED some good old fashioned shut-eye, she had things to do. LOTS of things. Like notifying the authorities about the woman who'd just attempted to EAT a child on her watch. Had she mentioned she was never going to live this down?
The moment Draper's spell hit her, the brunette blinked her eyes open and sat up a little too quickly. Whooooa there, dizziness! It took her a moment to realize what had happened and that was enough to note who was there still, and who wasn't. Where had the hag gone? Where was she now? Would she return? Moxley had questions but no answers and a very concerned little Ravenclaw to deal with.
"I'm okay. It's okay." She attempted a smile and patted the boy's arm as her eyes traveled to Julien, who'd joined them at some point. She was thankful to have the added help. "Why don't you head back to the castle, Jacen? I think it's best we all get inside." See? She wasn't mad and she was okay. Even on her feet. Almost on her feet. Hoisting herself up, the headmistress dusted off her clothes and glanced towards the forest and then back to her colleagues.
"Never a dull moment." And she clearly was not happy about it this time. "Please, kids, inside now." Some seemed to be moving in that direction already, which she was thankful for, but the stragglers needed to try and get a move on.
Mel was sitting there trying to breathe as she took in the situation. Rocking back and forth on her little pile for a bit she stood and looked around. She was practically having a mental breakdown wasn’t she?
Maybe this was one of those times she should have listened to India? “ow not cool” she muttered as she stood up and tripped because of the newly gained mobility. Okay so walking wasn’t really gonna be that easy was it? She didn’t really care right now if she looked like a complete fool and just continued to slowly awkwardly stumble and crawl toward the school.
“I think I’m going to be sick” she muttered to herself and gulped at the nothing in her throat. The pain on her head was the worst of it. Slowly but surely her legs began to feel less like jelly but no matter what she was doing her legs still continued to wobble as she walked.

Yoongi looked around with his eyes, now that their rescuers were frozen as well, he hoped that someone else would come. And his prayers seemed to have been heard because a moment later he was staring up at Professor Primeaux. He watched him flick his wand towards him and a second later the Head Boy sat upright. “Thank you , Professor” he said.
He stood up instantly and felt that his brain was still a bit fuzzy. He shook his head, blinked his eyes a few times before he looked around. He watched as Tia offered to help with the charms and although he was pretty excellent in counter-curses as well he would do something else.
“I’ll make sure they make it to the school safe” he said , eyeing the students already leaving. “Unless I can help out here?” he asked.

Surely none of these things were really actually happening... How could anyone try to eat another person?! That was the kind of stuff that only happening in fairytales. This was not a fairytale! It was school!
The Gryffindor girl's voice cut through the horrified thoughts and Jaemin sucked in a sharp breath, recoiling just a bit. It took him a moment to realise that she was there to help, not to scar him for life hurt, and the small eleven year old looked up at her as he reached to latch onto her arm. Older students equaled safety, yes?
"I wanna go home," he repeated, voice shaky. He didn't want to end up being soup! Learning magic wasn't worth that, was it? He shuddered, standing and clinging himself in close to her as he looked around anxiously. What if the old lady reappeared?! "I think I'm gonna puke."
He wanted his mom. And his dad. And his house with no old ladies who tried to turn little kids into soup.

Haddie crumbled to the ground like a sack of potatoes. She'd never been more happy to feel like a sack of potatoes. Every muscle in her body felt like re-fried rubber bands, and were just as useful.
She reached up with a shaky arm and wiped the blood off her face from the gashes the bird gave her before it flew off to attack Moxxy and looked back at the scene around the tent. Haddie glared at everyone; most notably at the Professors and Head girl who had unfroze Draper but let Kitty and her statuary. Some student leader! Hmmphf! Her eyes fell on Kitty, and she nodded to let the other girl know she was alright.
Finally she looked at Hady, eyes filled with gratitude, respect and a bit of admiration. Hady was a credit to the name. "Thank you," she croaked. Haddie tested out her newly mobile limbs, but they were essentially jelly at the moment. She nodded at Hady, "I might need the healer."

For now, since Haddie was being taken care of by Hady, Tia rested her gaze on a first year lion, Mel. Who muttered something about going to be sick. "Hi Mel, just .. what hurts? Are you nauseous? Because it's best to just let it all out..." she instructing, her hand automatically going in a comforting manner to the girl's back.

Except she had to steady herself as she readjusted to not being frozen. Just as Professor Primeaux joined the group, obviously in answer to the patronus sent off previously. So they were safe and relativly unharmed, except for a few. And the consensus was for the young ones to go back up to the castle. Fine by her. Once she felt decent enough to maker her move, she moved with the others to head back.

This entire place was in a state of utter chaos. No James wasn’t about to stop to retell the tale. They could do that tomorrow over tea, whilst they sat around replying to dozens of enraged, overly-concerned parents.

Jace fought the urge to cover his ears, as he watched over the impaled Headmistress. This was all his fault. Didn’t the wand people tell him to be careful with his cherry wand? It was truly special for him, albeit a strong one for a young wizard who still needs to learn to steady his mind in situations. The Ravenclaw was caught my surprise and moved back just in time when the Headmistress suddenly sat up. Jace blinked back tears, and immediately wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. Did she know that her not being mad was worse? It made Jace guiltier.
With his cheeks still flushed, Jace hung his head in shame and nodded to the professor. The best thing he could do now was to get a move on, and get back to the castle as fast as they could. The hag might come back and summon her bird. Speaking of the bloody creature, where did it go? Did he...did he hurt it badly when he tried to petrify it?
Looking around, he pulled on his fellow Ravenclaw’s sleeve, Katherine, who was apparently still there, and gestured her to move too. He shouldn’t be wasting time, now that he’s got issues to fix.

Just when Kitty was starting to wonder if anyone could see that she and Haddie were still frozen, Hady ( the student who had partnered with her in the Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson) came and rescued them - using an enchantment to undo the Hag's spell.
Kitty sank to the ground in relief, her legs hurting from having to stand for so long. "THANK YOU!" She groaned, her mouth feeling very dry."I was starting to wonder if the Hag had made us invisible." Aside from the soreness, her head hurt from the bird pecking and scratching her. It was nice of Hady to offer to take her to the Hospital Wing, but she didn't know if she would be able to walk there. "Do you think I should?" Kitty asked her with concern. "My legs really don't feel like walking." Just then her began to sting nastily. "GAA!!! Stupid bird!" She messaged her head gently.
She looked at Haddie. "Are you okay?"

Haddie crumbled to the ground like a sack of potatoes. She'd never been more happy to feel like a sack of potatoes. Every muscle in her body felt like re-fried rubber bands, and were just as useful.
She reached up with a shaky arm and wiped the blood off her face from the gashes the bird gave her before it flew off to attack Moxxy and looked back at the scene around the tent. Haddie glared at everyone; most notably at the Professors and Head girl who had unfroze Draper but let Kitty and her statuary. Some student leader! Hmmphf! Her eyes fell on Kitty, and she nodded to let the other girl know she was alright.
Finally she looked at Hady, eyes filled with gratitude, respect and a bit of admiration. Hady was a credit to the name. "Thank you," she croaked. Haddie tested out her newly mobile limbs, but they were essentially jelly at the moment. She nodded at Hady, "I might need the healer."

Both girls were very unstable on their feet. It was expected of course but that didn't stop the fifth year from reaching out a hand and gripping both girls arms to help steady them.
When she was sure they wouldn't fall over Hady let their arms go and slipped her wand back into it's holster. "You're both welcome. I think it certainly couldn't hurt anything for you two to get checked out by the healer. I'm sure she can give you something." Headaches. Muscle aches. Or whatever else.
Eyeing Haddie and Kitty for a few quick moments Hady realized they probably wouldn't make it inside and upstairs on their own. Levitating one could be done but not both. Inhaling deeply she slowly let the breath out. "Alright, whenever you're both ready." She moved to slide an arm around each girls waist so that she was between them and they could lean on her as they walked. The three of them could head inside now. No use in standing around out here when they needed to be looked at.

He had been in his office minding his own business when all of the sudden a patronous was there. What the hell? He listened to the brief explanation, the hag did what? This school was really in bad shape. Shaking his head he got up and made his way to the ground. Seeing the pot, seeing the students, and was that the Headmistress laying next to a dead bird? This was just beyond annoying.
Making his way towards James, just as he had given the instruction for the children to leave either to their dorms or the healer, he held his wand tightly, "What in Merlin's pants happened?" The scene itself was enough for him to guess, "Where is the hag?" He looked at some of the students and that is when he noticed the Head Boy's eyes moving, but not him. Flicking his wand towards the boy he did a counter charm to unfreeze him before turning to look at the others.
Thankfully his charms could help with a few things. "If you have antlers or anything else wrong with you that isn't an injury please come over here. The rest do as Professor Draper has said. We don't need anyone sticking around." Especially if the hag was not around.
Glancing back at James he motion towards Meredith, "Do you want to tend to her while I do some counter charms this mess?"
Cornelius was DISTRAUGHT no one was paying him attention. HELLO FIRST YEAR CURSED FOR MERLIN'S SAKE. He was so used that at his cry automatic attention fell on him. You know, as the only Baltazar heir his family had to keep him alive and stuff, but here...everyone seemed to matter. BUT NOT TO THE HAG.

They would figure out how to get up stairs when they came to that, because supporting her and lifting her weight up a few inches, probably wasn't going to happen. Once Kitty was secure, Haddie nodded as a way to signal them both she was ready to start moving. She cast one last unfriendly glare at Draper and Tia. The Headmistress had apparently been knocked out for a bit, so she was off the hook, but those two... especially the Professor who ordered them back without so much as attempting to unfreeze her and Kitty to actually be able to head back to the castle. Jerk.

Mel looked up at Tia and grimaced a bit before taking a deep steadying breath. “I..she…bit him” she winced and gulped a bit. “I’ve I never…I didn’t want to see that” she muttered and tried to smile up at Tia. “Thank you, I…I think I’m fine my head’s just sore” she admitted with a huff but well, that was what happened when a bird tried to claw at you right?
Standing up a bit straighter the short first year just frowned. “This class was doomed from the start…I was even planning on using those extendable ears to spy on the…well…hag? I mean sure she looked like an elderly witch b-but…that’s what hags look like” she just winced. Hags. They weren’t fun.
"Miss...Tia? Do you think we should set up a well...try and find her?" She looked over to the forest uncertainly. "I...there are acromantulas in there" she frowned even though she didnt like the hag not even hags deserved to be eaten like that.
