It's early in the morning on a cold November day. The Hag has a nice warm fire near her tent with a big pot. There has been rubbish piles set up all around the fire so that students could come and sit and be close to the fire. Is the Hag expecting to do a lesson today or has she just been hoping a bunch of children would gather around her nice warm fire?
Ursula can be found right near the fire, but she isn't paying any attention to the students gathering. She is trying to get something ready, but what is it? Stirring the liquid in the pot she finally notices the arrival of her class.
"Come dearies and sit near the fire. You don't want to catch your death in this cold."
"GAA!!!" Kitty screamed as the Hag's bird swooped down on top of her. Before she knew it the Professor Black had grabbed her in her awful grip and was pulling her towards the pot. "Let me go!" she screamed, terrified that the hag was about to toss her inside the pot. But then Professor Black tossed her to the side by a rubbish bin Kitty relaxed just a little, but her heart raced pounded violently and she shook all over.
Haddie leapt to her feet and aimed her wand squarely at the Hag. "Let Kitty Go!" Just because Rachel didn't believe her about the Hag didn't mean she was wrong, or was just going to let the Hag grab her other friends willy-nilly.

Sure, she was still upset about the whole stupid Divination disaster but imagining that this woman could easily be taken over by a bunch of young kids was helping her feel a bit better.
Oh good, the girl was a friendly. Davie returned the Hufflepuff's small smile. "Definitely," he replied, albeit quietly as he looked over toward the hag again. Hags couldn't even do magic, with wands, right? They were probably... probably less powerful than even house elves... er, right?

Ellery slipped into a seat next to Katherine because she needed the best friend protective vibes. "Hi, Katherine…hi, David." She leaned a little closer to both of them. "She-" (she looked pointedly at the hag) "said that the students need to eat to be plump or something. I think she wants to EAT us."
She gave twin finger wiggles to Olly. For moral support (and so that he could come over and sit with her maybe).

So all of these students were just chilling with the HAG? Ariadne was only a first year and didn't know too much just yet, but she knew what a hag was and why she shouldn't just go hang out with one.
When she looked up again, she had walked right up to the area everyone was gathered in without even realizing it. It was the hag's fault!!!!! Ariadne did NOT want to stay, but she also didn't want to look like the one scaredy cat out of the whole entire bunch. DAVIE. Davie was nearby, so she'd just sit behind him and hide. "Davie?" she whispered. "What are you guys doing hanging out with the hag?" WHISPERS. It was all said in whispers.
Davie swallowed the lump in his throat as Olly's sister, Ellery, sat down, and then as Ariadne joined them too. Why did all the Slytherins seem so clueless as to what was going on? Did they never read their notice boards?
"I think... I think she's just trying to teach us something," he lied told them softly. "Like for Divination class." Actually he was hoping she'd do something that would get her fired, but---

---but then she went and grabbed a student, dragging her closer to the fire. Was this the fireable offense Davie had been hoping for?! Well no, it didn't really LOOK that bad, though OF COURSE Haddie had to jump up first to defend the girl. What was with his housemates always causing trouble? Didn't they know that was Gryffindor's modus operandi?
"Sit back down," Davie muttered quietly, darkly at his first year enemy. She wasn't helping. Plus, the hag wasn't going to REALLY cook the um, the gray-cloaked girl. That girl was just being weird. Right? And the hag was just doing her teaching.
Right?
"Are those tarot cards?" he piped up instead, intending to turn the focus BACK TO THE LESSON. Surely the hag wouldn't slip up THIS early into class. See? They had to play along before they all overpowered her... and he certainly wasn't going to pull a Haddie NOW. First-years. Ugh. THEY WERE THE WORST.

Kaycee was mostly here out of a morbid curiosity. What was holding that woman together?! She'd seen magic, but not anything like keeping a dinosaur alive.
So. Yes. She was here to solve that great mystery.
As well as the mystery of what was in that suspicious pot. ... and she might have been cold... So she took a seat in the grass near the pots. The old woman wasn't scary to her. Just really, really... weird.

Ariadne had sat down a few minutes before, but she still hadn't stopped squirming in place. THIS WAS A HAG. A hag! Ahem. She tried to remain calm, because most other people were, and she didn't want to look like a loser. What was in that pot, though?! Were any of the students usually in class missing? These were just examples of the thoughts running through Ariadne's mind. Hearing the hag speaking, Ariadne looked up and tried her hardest to listen. It was kind of hard seeing as Ariadne was afraid she might get EATEN any second now.
...and then Kitty, Ariadne's new Ravenclaw friend, got picked up by the Hag and pulled toward the pot. She was going to eaten now, wasn't she?! Ariadne jumped and covered her face with her hands. No matter what, she was NOT going to hide from the hag. The woman could and would find her, and when she did, it would not be pretty! It was only when Davie starting talking to her that Ariadne looked up again.
"Teach us something," Ariadne breathed. "Right. Sorry." Teaching. She knew that. Then when Davie mentioned tarot cards, Ariadne looked up at the hag again, noticing the cards for the first time. "Those are tarot cards," she repeated to the hag, agreeing with Davie.
Austin had bundled up in both hat and gloves, hoping to keep warm this morning. It was November, and the fact that it was the morning, did not help the weather. It was colder than cold, and the boy wasn't a morning person to begin with. He had headed down a bit later than some of his mates, mainly because his bed was so warm and inviting, that he had a hard time getting out of it. But once he did, he made sure to bundle up.
A smile grew on his face when he saw the warm fire. At least this old hag was smart enough to keep them warm. That was his thought, anyways, but when he finally got close enough he realized that wasn't her intent. She was stirring something in a pot, and to be honest, he didn't want to know what it was. If he had to guess, it was probably a soup to eat them all with. The boy gulped, and sat down close to the fire, but on the other side of the pit than were the hag was. It was early in the morning, and Austin did not want to deal with anyone today. Especially not the Hag-Professor

Their doom was upon them? Sure. Right. Whatever. Sigh. Scarlett tried to stop herself from rolling her eyes and failed terribly. She was just trying to scare them all before she tried to cook them in her big pot obviously. Scarlett should just get up there and teach the lesson instead - in fact, she had her own deck of tarot cards in her dorm! Darn, she should have brought them.
"They're tarot cards," she said blankly, nodding as she echoed the same answer her classmates had given. ALSO was she allowed to just GRAB students like that? WHO had ok'ed the hire of this woman again??
She wanted to just curl up in a ball and cry. This was awful and NOT how this was supposed to go. She wanted her dad.

Dot didn't even take Divination normally, since she preferred classes with concrete answers, not made up fantastical ones... but she had a score to settle with the hag lady, and it seemed like the only way to get real time with her was to show up here. To this... was it even a class? It was hard to tell.
She took a spot with the other students and focused all her attention on Madame Black and her cauldron. Was this a soup making class, or was the woman multi-tasking and doing her laundry?
Also, it smelled awful.
Still, Dot raised her hand and gave the hag a hopeful smile. "Uh... Madame Black? Can you please tell me that I'm not going to have disease and destruction like you said at the feast? Because I've been having trouble sleeping since you said that, and I think I'm catching a cold, and I just need to get on with my life."
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
An idiot? Rachel frowned at Haddie. "I certainly did not force you to attend this... whatever this is,'' she whispered fiercely and defensively to her friend. Yet, she knew Haddie didn't mean that and was only looking out for her which Rachel truly appreciated. She gave her a stern look but linked her a hand through Haddie's. What were best friends for if they didn't have your best interests at heart? Besides, she felt safe with her dorm mates surrounding her.
Oh no! Ursula was on the move! Rachel automatically avoided eye contact with her, staying close to Haddie, Olivia and Katherine. She didn't need the woman telling her that her freckles would cause her doom again.
But she couldn't help but look up as Kitty was dragged towards them, apparently she had been hiding. It was natural that Haddie wanted to defend their house mate but David was right. Haddie should sit. She reached towards her fellow first year. "Sit down, Haddie. I don't think she'll harm, Kitty.'' Ursula would probably make some mean predictions but that was about it.

He will see when the time is right? For some reason he keeps hearing that a lot, not just from her, but from everybody. This is what he meant about the world being so slow and always making him wait. Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait....
..... But waiting he does and goes wait on the makeshift seats on the ground.
There are still a lot of students that were holding back. Suspicious? Nauseous? Oh there goes that bird pecking onto something.... or someone.
At this point, Tenacius was pretty used to her doom and gloom heralding. If anything, it just piques his curiosity even more so.
She shows off more of her cards things. Has he seen them before? He saw them on her back on the train, but he hasn’t really seen those before then. He rested his jaw on his hand and asked "Uh... how do you play those things? Are they anything like those old school card games like Magic the Gathering or Hearthstone?"
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Henric sat at the back and watched the hag carefully. He sighed. It was weird that he was here to witness this. He thought he had dropped the subject after Professor Cassie left last term... apparently not. What was she brewing over at the fireplace? He could smell it all away from here! Merlin... it smelled horrible...
He had no idea what made Professor Moxley chose the hag to teach divination to the students. Was it because there weren't enough divination professors left in the world? Impossible. He wished she could have pick a pretty professor ...like the new transfiguration professor Ichihara for instance. More sighing...
She kept talking about their doom again and he couldn't help but shake his head. Was she going to teach or do tarot card reading? So far, he wasn't impressed. He could have gone to Professor Cassie shop if he wanted a tarot card reading..honestly.
When the old lady grabbed the girl by the arm, Jaemin had to resist the urge to bolt. He didn't wanna be next. No old ladies grabbing at him, thank you! He looked around at the others and spotted the girl prefect from his house.
Prefects were supposed to protect them, right? Right, Dot? The little boy shuffled closer to her. Just in case. People said that this lady was gonna eat someone, and the boy was pretty sure he was close enough to bite-sized to be worried about.that.
That's the main reason why she's here in the first place.
As soon as she arrived, Candice decided to sit at the back near the Hufflepuff Prefect because he's the perfect cover if the Hag decided to eat them. Then the Hag started talking about she saw their doom in her cards. Fantastic. She should have stayed in her dorm.

Finally more people closer to her age. Hady let out a small breath her eyes once more scanning over everyone as a few others slowly arrived. Most of the younger ones namely the first and second years all grouped together leaving her to sit calmly by herself. Not that she cared really.
The Hag/Lady pulled something out and Hady fixed her attention on what appeared to be Tarot Cards. Was that part of today's lesson? Arching an eyebrow in silent question she waited to find out only they weren't being told anything else. The much older women was on the move and before anyone could realize it she had a younger girl by the arm and was pulling her along. It was Kitty, Hady worked with her in class just the other day. Poor girl was frightened but she wasn't harmed just moved closer to the fire.
Well alright then. Already this was turning out to be a strange lesson/observance.

"Good morning," Carl said to the Hag as he walked near the pot. He was not sure how to address her - Professor? Ms Black? Hag? - so decided to stick to not calling her at all. He sat down near the fire as it was a cold day and focused on the lesson or gathering or whatever this was.
Tarot cards! The Hufflepuff had seen those before, though he was not sure how they worked exactly. He hoped they would learn more about them, or at least get to see some predictions with the cards. Those were fascinating.

Jace was one of the early birds for this class, and he kept his mouth shut the entire time. He positioned himself in between older students, and watched silently the happenings before him. The hag was scarier looking now than she did when he saw her in the train going to Hogwarts. It never occurred to him that she was a legit professor in this school.
Jace clutched his bag when the hag grabbed a fellow Ravenclaw and forced her to stay near the fire. Wait...who allowed her to have such harsh contact with a student? Surely, that’s not acceptable?
His attention quickly shifted from his fellow Ravenclaw to the cards being shown to them. Tarot Cards, eh? He’d seen one of those when the hag showed it to his fellow first year. Jaemin, was it? Yeah, the kid who was sorted into Slytherin. He got the reverse empress, which...sounded bad. It seems that anything that is reverse in that deck was bad omen.

Kay DID NOT want to be in this class, but she had no choice really. She was cold, but didn't want to get too close the fire, despite how tempting it is. She saw Henric towards the back of the crowed of the students. She scooted closer to the Hufflepuff prefect.
"H-Hello Henric." she said quietly She pointed to the hag professor, and whispered "Isn't she scary? Why would anyone hire her as a professor?" She wrapped her cloak more tightly around her small body
As Colt was sitting down by the fire, he didn't bother to say good morning to her. He would keep the goosebumps saying that. He still kept his distance from the hag though. She was kind of creepy. He wondered why the headmistress even hired her. She seems like she wants a death wish on all the students. I mean he wouldn't be surprised if there something gross in the pot. He was sitting with his other students but he gave props to the others sitting in the front of the class. He saw the hag holding up tarot cards? He squinted his eyes to get a better look.
Huh...what were they going to do about tarot cards today? He knew some of them. He knew the Death card, The Magician, The Empress. Yeah his mother used to tell him stories about this type of stuff. She was interested in the supernatural. What was this hag getting at asking about tarot cards? Were they going to read their futures? Probably was because she mentioned they were all doomed.

He felt a small uncomfortable tingling sensation on the back of his neck. He turned around, only to find Candice Messer sitting near his area. Urgh...of course. It just had to be her.The Gryffindor prefect sure looked like she didn't want to be here. Haha...as expected of her. He narrowed his eyes a little at the prefect before averting his attention to the little hufflepuff firstie who had scooted closer to him. "Hello there...are you alright? Are you cold?" he asked the girl, she seemed a little scared and trying to bundle herself up. Awwww! She hit his Hufflepuff feels, "Hey..don't worry okay, she just uh..going to teach us divination. We'll see soon enough..unm I don't really know..Headmistress Moxley hired her...for a reason...." he told her.

What was with this woman? He wasn't going to call her a hag even though she IS a hag but this first year was going to try and show her some respect. Brady didn't even know what was going on right now and then he heard yelling and something about a pot and fire.
The first year badger was ignoring almost every thing but not on purpose. He was zoning out, he didn't even know what this woman was doing teaching here. Why was she allowed to teach here in the first place.
SHE WAS GOING TO COOK US?!
The Scottish boy looked over that at the older boy who he just noticed was sitting next to him. "She's going to cook us, isn't she?" Bradson whispered and asked the Slytherin boy.

Sniffing the air distractedly. “Almost, yes the scents are strong now.”
Brown eyes turning when the others started talking. The cards in her hand, “Some of you are smarter than you look I can see. These are Tarot Cards. They help me see your doom and how it will be.” Looking towards a girl(Cassirin) she grinned remembering her. “I never lie dearie, your end will come.” She swiftly moved toward the prefect and pulled three cards. Looking at the boy (Steelsheen) asking how to play she showed her rotten teeth in a smile. “You don’t play a card game with these, you read them. You find out someone’s fate with them. Tarot Cards are very important to all of your futures.” Looking back to Dot she showed the first card, “The Nine Swords says you are having sleepless nights. That is not good for your immune system. You need to get your rest.” She sniffed at the air and got distracted moving towards a boy (Deeezer) and sniffed right in his hair. Lifting another card he stayed near the boy, but looked at Dot “The Tower, it has falling people and is known for anxiety and worry. Again not good for your health which will then lead to this.” She pulled the death card and showed, “The Death card, as I said before will come from disease and you will meet your end. “
Moving towards the boy who first asked how to play she pulled another card, “The Moon, anyone want to tell him what his card means?” Her grin playing on her lips when, what was that? The whispers of fear filled the air, “You are scared of me dearies? Just then her friend Haddie came to her rescue, bravely pointing her wand at the Hag and demanding that she let her go. But all of the other students seemed to scared to do anything.
When the Hag threatened to throw Haddie and the other Hufflepuff boy into the pot, Kitty wanted to scream and tell the Hag that she couldn't do that - that she would be arrested if she hurt any of them. But she was terrified, and could do nothing more than sob quietly in her spot and hope that one of the teachers found out what the Hag was doing. She ignored the Hag's question, too terrified to speak.

Ms Black just got a quick 'Hello' before Rachel seized Olivia's hand to lead them over to a litter free patch of ground (which happened to be next to Katherine) so they could be seated. "Hello, Katherine.''

"Hello," she greeted back. Good thing Ravenclaws were the highest in number. This meant they would earn the most points, which would earn them more points. Hehe.

BEST FRIEND.
"Hi Ellery!" she greeted back. This was the FIRST lesson they were sitting together! She wished it wasn't divination, of course. It should have been a lesson much more meaningful and right, but... this would do.
But... now Ellery was being very un-clever, as if she was someone else.
"Professors don't eat kids," she whispered back harshly. Ellery must have misheard the woman. Or maybe Professor Black simply wanted them to eat to be healthy.

Moving closer to the rock she grabbed the girl hiding behind it. "You won't stay warm over there. You come and be right up front." Pulling the child towards the pot before letting her go at a rubbish bin just off to the side.

Kitty relaxed just a little, but her heart raced pounded violently and she shook all over.

Blah blah blah, Professor was dramatic, wasn't she? No wonder she was a little crazy and QUITE off with her... eh, predictions. Nothing would happen to them if they were all clever... unlike her dorm mate...s.
Of course. She wasn't surprised when Haddie happened. Katherine SNORTED angrily at the girl. She was being COMPLETELY ridiculous and disrespectful, but OF COURSE! What did she know of respect? UGH.
Clearly, Katherine was the only person here who trusted Hogwarts' professor choices and didn't believe this woman posed any threat - except for her stupid predictions. Seriously, everyone was being very dramatic and disrespectful.
Okay, anyway, they were starting at last.
Taking out a notepad, Katherine began taking notes about the description of the cards. This was stupid. She didn't even know why she was here. But at least, they could all agree that the Professor only wanted their wellbeing.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Doom doom doom. That was all this Hag could think about couldn't she?
Yoongi tried not to roll his eyes as he listened and watched. Honestly, he didn't care much about Divination but it defintely beat arithmancy and the previous professor had made more sense than...this old Hag.
He watched as she pulled out cards, telling them their deaths with each one. The Head Boy stayed quiet however, not wanting to know. Besides, she had already predicted he was going to die soon. Apparently he was going to get betrayed and killed by someone he loved and someone would die because he couldn't save them both. Like...whuuut?
It didn't take long before the Hag started to hint that the food would be better with human flesh. Seeing as a Hufflepuff (Brady) was being dragged towards the pot ,The Gryffindor pull out his wand as well. He did not point it at the Hag but still held it in his hand just in case. "Let him go and predict death, not cause it" Merlin's Beard what was the Headmistress thinking when she hired this one?! "Now" he added firmly.

Olly grinned at Ellery and waved when she arrived. But he was very disappointed that she did not come sit by him. Instead she chose to sit by that girl. The one who was mean to Olly. Why had Ellery sat there instead of by him? He frowned and glanced back at the woman and her cauldron. And Dot was there too, she could protect them. Dot could do anything. But she said Dot was going to meet her end. END? She was going to DIE? No no, that couldn't be right. Dot couldn't die.
"You didn't predict anything," he said tentatively when she read the cards to Dot. "She just told you she wasn't sleeping."
COOKED? Olly's eyes widened in alarm as the hag pulled a child toward the pot. She was going to COOK them? Olly did get up this time and went over to Ellery. He latched on to her arm, both to feel protected and to protect her.

Doom and gloom this one was.
Olivia had to admit she had never seen fortune telling cards in person before. Ms Becke didn't really use them. More of a natural seer like Chantel. Shame she was really old because she would have likely been a better divination professor. Shoot Chantel would have bee---What was SHE doing? The woman had moved quickly and suddenly pulled someone from behind a rock.
KITTY!
She barely resisted the urge to jump up like Haddie had in her defense. Her eyes flicked around in search of Tia wondering if her cousin and head girl would do something. Or the head boy since she she didn't see the older Ravenclaw readily. There was at least two student leaders there though if that helped anything.
