The usual classical music is playing in the classroom, and it can be heard floating down the corridor. The door of the Transfiguration classroom is wide open, so come on in. Professor B/York, whatever you call her, is leaning against her desk eating from a small bowl of lollies. No, you can’t have any.
The desks are arranged in the usual circle, with the same one reserved for Professor York. There is, however, no box of musical instruments. INSTEAD, on top of each desk is a random instrument, AND a small bowl of assorted lollies.
Come on in, say hello, chose your seat/instrument, and explore your small bowl of lollies. What did YOU get?
OOC: Sorry! I meant to have this started a few hours ago but zombie brain got in the way of thinking. Will hopefully start in about 22 hours or so.

With her hoops of rope positioned at different sizes and heights in the air she was ready to go once more. Looking from each ring of rope to the small flames upon the pillars lining the wall then down at the rock beside her feet. She had done this once already so far so four more times should be a breeze.
"Draconifors!" Hady cast pointing her wand at the rock and preforming the slashing motion while picturing a horn-tail dragon. At her feet standing tall and proud was a miniature version of the dragon she wanted. With a small grin set on her face she kept her wand trained on the dragon. With some gentle guidance from her wand and her mind focused on what she needed to do her dragon took off into the air and towards the pillars.
The dragon made it's way to the second pillar where it collected the flame in it's mouth and turned around heading for the ropes. Hady guided it through the second hoop carefully watching as the flame was expelled from the dragons mouth igniting the rope on fire as it passed through and returned to land at her feet. "Nice work buddy." Really it was even if she was the one guiding the dragon it was only fair to thank the dragon for doing as she wanted.

Now what was the next part of the exercise? Really concentrating and imagining and saying the incantation with a straight posture? The boy did straighten his posture as instructed and he put on his best concentrating face just for show. A pretty decent face too if you asked him.

Just for his whim and amusement, he took a quick minute to let his dragon fly around the ropes. Wheee! Look at the little fellow go! And Ava was getting on well too! She and her dragon got things going just as fast as he did.
Okay, it was time to get back to the task. Adi doubted he to return his dragon to a rock state before proceeding with the second rope so he directed his wand (and in turn the dragon) to the second row of candles where the dragon easily snagged some flames. Annnd to a random rope it went, setting that one on fire too!
Was Ava watching? Adi figured she was following his lead so here's to hoping he was doing this right. Let's see that dragon of yours fly, lil sis!
Up to the third row his own little creature went. This require a tad more focus since the row was higher and the flame size was decreased but his dragon snagged some fire and soon had the third rope on fire. The fourth row required even more focus to get that increasingly smaller flame. When it came to the fifth row, his dragon sot past the aimed at candle completely (woops) because Adi's left hand suddenly decided it wanted to do a weird jig. Seriously... he just sort of lost control of it for a second. But anyway, he quickly got back his focus and the dragon managed to capture some fire. Annnnd back to the ropes... THERE! Five ropes on fiyaaaah!
First rope was already on fire!!!
And now it's time to control the dragon to the next rope. COOOOOOOONCENTRATION, BURTON!!!
now she already got the first rope on fire, four more ropes and she's finished! The young lioness controlled her dragon to take the fire from the second candles which was higher from the first candle and.... SUCCESS!! Now she controlled the dragon back to the ropes. Second rope was on fire now!!
And that means Ava had three more ropes.
She aimed her wand higher so the dragon could reach the third candle, getting the fire again and.... back to the ropes again. Third ropes: executed! Now to the fourth candles. Again, she aimed her wand higher and higher again.... She kept her mind focused so the dragon was still on her control. It got the fire again, and then back to the ropes again. FINALLY!! She only needed one more candle. But her hand suddenly felt cramp and her dragon almost lost her control. OOOOPPPSS!!! NOT NOW, DRAGON!!
Focus, Ava. FOCUS!!!
She gained all her focus back and aimed her dragon onto the HIGHEST candle.... and then sent it back again to the last rope. DONE!! She had finished it. Now time to get her dragon back again. Ava controlled the dragon to get back to her hand. Once it landed safely on her palm, she turned it back to stone again. "Finite!"

He might have thought the 'how' was a good question had he not been asked it a million times. No one seemed to be listening, they were never listening. The boy's face took on a somewhat passive expression now, as he geared up to repeat the very sentence he'd been saying since September. "I don't want to learn the spell. I don't want to learn magic." Stupid thing that never worked for him in the first bloody place.
"I'm doing good in my other classes without it. I don't need it at all." His wand that is. It'd been a while since his cousin snuck it from his trunk and tried forcing him to use it in a lesson, thankfully.
His little shoulders rose in something of a shrugging gesture at his request to try the spells in class. He didn't wanna try but was being perfectly diplomatic--note he didn't refuse.
"I'm caught up on the theory, that should be enough to pass my exams."

She swallowed, and tried to keep her face straight. She'd heard a bit from Airey, of course, but... but she hadn't realised just how dire the situation. A boy in a magical school not wanting to learn magic? That was like a hungry person not wanting to eat!
She gently shook her head. "Blaise," Uhhhmmmmmm... "I need you to get your wand. You will not pass your transfiguration exam without spells. Theory will not suffice." She sighed... "Can I ask why you don't want to learn magic? Has something happened?" some sort of traumatic wand experience?

Dragoooon! Wow. AWESOME. But...why finite it when they weren't done yet? Angel DID know their goal was to make turn the ropes into flaming ones, right? Cocking his head, Owen said, "I'll go make my dragon now and you can make the next ropes circles?"

Angel did the wand movement again, how cool was this... she couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next and she realised that she would have to do her dragon again because she had gone a bit wrong something that Owen seemed to have realised. "Ceruchous!" Angel did the wand movement again, cool this was just great, now that was three near the candles.

Angel was totally enjoying watching her new friend flying his dragon around the place because he was jut excellent at it. She watched and waited to see what he was going to do next, she would get her dragon back out later once he had finished his run.

Bentley knew that Blaise would eventually get in trouble for this not having his wand thing. That was why he still brought it with him to every class, because contrary to what Blaise believed, he could not learn magic without using his wand.
He sighed as he watched the back and forth before finally pulling his cousin's wand from his bag.
Walking over, he shoved it on him, like he did in charms and walked off.
"I told you, you'd get in trouble eventually."

Still a little confused about the whole fat headed worm thing, Rooney decided that he would hurry up and compose himself to perform the spell properly. He stood as tall as he could, coughed to clear his throat and thought ONLY of his worm turning into a matchbox. And most definitely ONLY that. ANother cough to clear his throat, and the Ravenclaw aimed his wand at the other of his worms, because he actually felt incredibly bad for wanting to put it through more stuff.
.... Yet another cough, just to make sure he could be clear in his speech.
Rooney pointed his wand, flicked upward and spoke clearly. "Flintifors!" His pronunciation, if he was to toot his own horn, was perfect. His casting was perfect. And his matchbox was perfect. This was just something that he could do very easily. And he was most definitely going to keep this spell up his sleeve in case he ever needed it. Annoying mouse? OH HELLO MATCHBOX.

With her little dragon sitting down at her feet Hady stared at it for a brief moment. It was just the cutest little thing ever really. Anyhow yeah get on with the task Miss Hady.
Shaking her head to snap herself back into focus she kept her wand trained on the dragon and directed it upwards yet again. It headed right for the third pillar with the help of her direction and collected the flame in it's mouth. With a small loop of her wand hand the dragon changed direction and headed for the third circle of rope and right through it lighting the whole thing a flame as it did.
Smirking lightly to herself before the dragon returned to her she swiped her wand towards the next higher up pillar. Might as well get another one going. This one was a bit higher and smaller but with a bit more focus it only took a second for the dragon to gather the flame. Having it turn around Hady guided it through the next hoop watching as the rope went up in flames just as the others before it. Four down!

It was time for the main activity, and Paulina listened carefully as Professor York explained to them what they needed to do. Dragons were cool, but she had not had any experience creating them before. Thank Merlin there was a demonstration or otherwise she would be rather lost.
Under her breath she muttered the rope conjuring spell a few times, just for practice. She just needed a younger student to work with and they would be able to begin...
There was a little Ravenclaw boy (Rooney) who seemed to be partnerless so maybe she could work with him. "Hello, do you want to work with me?" she asked him shyly. It was okay if he wanted to work with someone else.

There was a little Ravenclaw boy (Rooney) who seemed to be partnerless so maybe she could work with him. "Hello, do you want to work with me?" she asked him shyly. It was okay if he wanted to work with someone else.
The idea of pairing with an older student was music to Rooney's ears as he was going into panic mode about having to work his magic into dragon form - something which he knew he hadn't done before and would probably never do again. In fact, he thought that Professor York made it look...almost easy. But he knew it wouldn't be that easy for him, and as soon as an older student approached him, he nodded before she had even spoken. "Yes. Yes please."Please.
He copied down the spells from the blackboard, making sure that he had down all of the details possible alongside notes about what Professor York had said for them to do. "You scared? I am..."

One one to go. The highest pillar, smallest flame and the tiniest ring. This probably wouldn't be easy but she was going to do this. Focus. Nothing more and nothing less then complete focus.
Flexing her fingers around her wand Hady spun the dragon around guiding it upwards towards the tallest pillar. Come on little dragon! The closer her dragon got she focused on having it slow down. Guiding it with her wand she made it carefully inch forward (still flying of course) towards the flame. Inhaling a breath she watched as it's mouth opened to inhale the flame an-and it somehow missed. Hady blinked guiding the dragon back a little to try once more. This time the flame was taken into the dragons mouth and she had him do a loop in the air while heading to the last rope.
Rising her wand made the dragon fly higher which she needed to get him through that last ring of rope. Chewing her bottom lip in concentration the dragon slowed on her wand command carefully edging itself into the smallest ring and blowing a puff of fire from it's mouth. Her fifth and final ring of rope was now on fire!
With a downward point of her wand the dragon landed at her feet. "Finite," she recited calmly easily canceling the charm so that the dragon was once more it's former self. A rock.

She had a partner. Wonderful. Paulina had been worried that she would be rejected since she wasn't exactly the best at activities. She'd try her best though.
Was she scared? Honestly... "I'm a bit, yeah. I've never conjured dragons before." They didn't do anything like this at Beauxbatons. They didn't do half the things done at Hogwarts... No matter because she was used to this stuff by now. She'd do any whacky stuff that Professor York or Myers asked her to since they were her favourites.
"I guess we should get started with making the rope circles," she added with a small smile. Using her wand she made a circle. "Ceruchous." Easy as pie. Pleased with herself, Paulina repeated the spell another two times, raising each rope circle to alternating heights. Three done and her partner could do the other two rope circles unless he was having trouble; he seemed SMART so she was sure that he would have no difficulty with it.

"Me either..." Rooney smiled though, because he knew that she seemed more nervous that he was, and smiles always helped people feel a little bit more at ease. He decided to let her go first with the rope circles, mainly so he could watch, making sure to pay attention to her wand movement and exactly what she did. "Was that easy?" He asked after she had completed three of the rope circles. It was his turn now, and after seeing Paulina complete it was apparently such ease, he felt a lot better about doing it himself.
Before raising his wand, he recited the incantation a few times to get it into his head and to make sure that he could say it properly before attempting it alongside his wand. When he felt that she was in a place he could get it right, he raised his wand, drawing out a circle with it in time with his words. "Ceruchous!" ...??? And as luck would have it, there was his rope circle!! The first of the two he had to complete, because they needed five and Paulina had done three of them already.
He took a deep breath, before doing the exact same thing with his wand and repeating the incantation. "Ceruchous!" THERE IT WAS. He'd done it twice, even though it had seemed so hard beforehand!!!
............ He wasn't at all excited for the next part though.

It was nice that she wasn't alone with that thought. She nodded when he asked if it was easy; look he did a wonderful job of it. Paulina gave him a smile and a thumbs up.
They were ready to move on to the next part and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. Hmm. Fingers crossed that this would work for them because if not they wouldn't be able to finish. Not the worst thing that could happen, but Paulina still wanted to give it at least a try.
"Let's see if I can conjure the dragon." Maybe he would have better luck with his. Under her breath she muttered "Draconifors a few times before making slashing movements with her wand. Satisfied, she felt now was a good time to try out the spell for real. "Draconifors!" she called out as she slashed her wand towards her rock.
Awww, look at the small dragon! It was so cute.
Using her wand to control the dragon, Paulina sent it towards one of the pillar candles. Ugh, this was NOT easy. Hopefully it got easier with practice. She furrowed her brows slightly in concentration as she mentally steered the little creature where she wanted it to go. It collected a spark of fire in its mouth. With some more maneuvering, she managed to get the dragon to fly through the first hoop, setting it on fire. "Awesome," she said as the little dragon landed by her feet.
