Yoongi did not like winter. It was too cold, he would get sick fast and the worst of it all was that his already chapped lips were WORSE during the winter. He had already ordered a third lip balm from Primpernelles which he expected to arrive within a few days.

Why was he outside then if he didn't like the cold? Good question...one that he couldn't answer as well. Maybe it was because he got bored very quickly and had to walk around to keep himself entertained. Plus, he was looking for someone, anyone really, to do something nice to.

The Ancient Runes had been excellent if he had to say so himself. He had gotten to know Norah a little better and she turned to be a really funny girl with a lack of confidence but he was sure she could get through her prefect years. Anyways, the Gryffindor looked around and found himself at the whomping willow. A dangerous place, surely his own house mates were here?

Instead, he found not his housemates but a familiar looking face. The Ravenclaw kid that had helped him out of the portrait when he had been a sheep. Should he say thanks? but he hadn't been recognizable at that time..hmmm... Ah maybe he could do something nice in return and pretend it had been for the Ancient Runes assignment? ah...he was a...genius!

"Hi kid, nice quill" he said as he pointed to the quill. it wasn't as fabulous as his pink flamingo quill though... now what?

Davie had decided that he should really probably taste-test the chocolates before giving them all away to the tree, and was thus popping the first unwrapped one into his mouth. Mmm, this one had a caramel center. What if the Whomping Willow didn't even like caramel? Then he would have wasted a whole chocolate on her, see. He was just being thoughtful, like their professors were trying to teach them to be this year with their camps.

Speaking of professors, Davie half jumped at the older voice suddenly nearby. He looked up, clutching his chocolates, before he realized it was just an older student. A nice one, a familiar looking one, but one whose name he didn't know. Still, he'd paid Davie a compliment, and even though this was the quill he was just using since Mr. Green had been damaged, he supposed he had to say one back.

"Thanks," he mumbled, releasing his box of chocolates gently, and then getting an idea. "Chocolate?" Surely the older lad liked candy. Ooh, and Davie recognized him now! "You asked all the questions at Dueling Club, didn't you?"

Sitting down on the edge of the bench, Yoongi looked next to him at the Ravenclaw holding a box against his chest. As if he was afraid anyone would steal it. He tried not to laugh at the sight. Instead he began to wonder if the boy recognized him but he didnt. He was both glad and insulted at the same time. Glad that he hadn't been recognizable when he had been a sheep and this kid right here had helped him out of the portrait hole. He let out a laugh as he thought of that memory.

Oh? Was he offering a chocolate? Yoongi looked down at the box and then bit his lower lip. He was actually training. Not right now but he had asked Dakest the types of food he needed for keeping in shape and chocolate was a no no. But....one couldnt hurt right? Just one? His hand already reached for the box but then he took it back. "no thanks, i just...ate" wow good one Yoongi! "So im still pretty full" he smiled.

So he DID recognize him?! Yoongi sat up straight and looked at the whomping willow with a tiny smirk. He loved it when people knew his name. Only, he apparently did NOT know his name. "....i am" he answered slowly and then added "Had that been annoying? I mean, once i start asking questions its hard to stop you know?" probaly not ...but maybe? He was just really curious. Curious Yoongi~ "I'm Yoongi by the way, you're the previous Headmistess kid right?"

Oh.... no chocolate for him then? Good, because Davie didn't like to share. Ahem. Never mind. It was the older boy's loss, and since he had the chocolate unwrapped already, Davie popped it in his own mouth with a shrug.

Yooooongi, that was his name. Right. David had heard a professor call him that before. He nodded, finishing off his chocolate before he spoke. "Yeah. I'm David Truebridge." He held out his gloved hand for a formal introduction. "No, I thought your questions were helpful. We were all wondering those things, but only you had the courage to ask them." Most of them, anyway. Courage was definitely a Gryffindor trait.

Yoongi looked over at the whomping willow as David ate the chocolate. He had never gotten close to the tree before. One would think that being a Gryffindor meant he wanted to do all the reckless things at least once during his three school years here. But no, he was too scared of that tree as he knew what it could do. Oh! that also reminded him why he had talked to this kid in the first place. He pointed his wand at his school bag and pointed it inside the undetectable extension charmed bag and non-verbally took out a bag of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. EVERYONE liked these right? everyone except for himself...And wait..how did a tree remind him of candy? ....weird brain he had..

Turning back to look at the young Ravenclaw, he looked down at the outstretched gloved hand and he grabbed it with his own light pink gloved hand as well, handing the bag over "Nice to meet you David, here, my mother send me this but i don't like them" 'And because you helped me out when i was stuck in the portrait hole as a sheep' he thought, obviously not saying that out loud... This counted as doing something nice right?! Merlin this was hard. Being friendly came natural to him but once he had to see and know what he was doing it became a lot more difficult. "How is she by the way?" he asked as the boy told him he was indeed the son "i mean, after what happened last year" he shivered at the thought of the acromantulas and cast a look in the direction of the forest for a second. Before turning back with a hearty laugh.

"Well, Ava and Candice also asked questions so i can't really take the compliment alone " eventhough he wanted to... and he hadn't thought that his questions had been...brave. He was simply on good terms with the Professor. At least he thought so. "So you're entering the competition as well?" or was he just going to watch the duels and participate in the meetings only. He was curious to see how a first year duel would go though. Probably not as spectacular as the duels between older students.

Davie noticed Yoongi looking at the tree and almost said something about how the chocolates were supposed to be for the tree, but then the older Gryffindor was offering him something else. Something ALMOST better than chocolate, but not quite as good as actual Chocolate Frogs. "Oh!" He accepted the package of Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans with a pleasantly surprised expression. "Thanks, but I'd feel bad taking these without giving you something in return. Maybe we can trade?" He set the beans off to the side and quickly wrapped up the chocolate, putting it all back together in its package. "You can take these, here, have them for another day, or use them to make a new friend." Like he had just done, hopefully.

"Mum is doing fine," Davie mumbled a little, and looked over at the tree. Truth was that he missed her and Dad a lot, but he was still really enjoying school as well. "She's writing a book about her experiences at Hogwarts, especially about all the weird and dangerous stuff that happens here. I'm sure you know." Since he was older.

Heh, yeah, true, they were all a part of driving the discussion. "Yeah. I've never dueled anyone before though. I don't even know that many spells." Like, could he use scourgify in a duel? What about incendio? See, half of what he knew he probably couldn't even use!

Yoongi was glad that David liked the bertie botts candy. He didn’t get how anyone liked them but if it made him happy it was all good. Giving candy counted as doing something friendly right? Plus he had asked about his family and how his mother was after all she had went through. That was also friendly right? He was going to nail those points for Gryffindor! YAS

Maybe the kid wanted to do something nice as well and trading was considered a good thing to do for someone . Even if they did not like the candy… “Thanks” he mumbled, making a mental note to give these to someone else. ….He’ll give these to Norah. The hyper Prefect would probably love them! He grinned sheepishly at the thought before he shook his head, wondering why on earth he thought of her and then looked back at the little first year.

He quickly looked serious again as he started to speak about the former Headmistress and nodded his head slowly. “Hmm should be a good book” ……He……doubted if he would read it….if she put pictures in it he would. “I actually don’t” he chuckled, shaking his head. “It’s only my second year here. I’m a transfer student you see” So although he knew about the school’s history from the other students he hadn’t actually been there himself. Except for the events of last year. “But I bet it’ll be a big book if she plans on writing it all down” heh.. If she had more than 300 pages then it would be bad publicity for the school. …….Was that her goal?

On the topic of the duelling club and the upcoming tournament, Yoongi thought. “Well, if you’re not sure what to do just throw your wand at your opponent ” he laughed out loud as he had a mental image of the kid doing just that in a duel. But then he panicked a bit because some people here actually followed up on his advises and he didn’t want him to that now. “But don’t do that in the tournament! Okay? You’ll be disqualified if you do “ Besides, his opponent would probably be at a loss as well so they were even.

Well Davie felt like his good deed was done for the day. He didn't listen to Yoongi protesting that he didn't like chocolates, because who didn't like chocolates, really, and smiled at him anyway. See how chocolate made you friends?

"Should be... an enlightening read, probably." Her version of events would certainly make for a contrast from how the journalists always painted Hogwarts' happenings. "Oh wow, last year was your first year here?! That's certainly an exciting... erm, crazy start to your education. What a welcome to Hogwarts, eh." Davie was still mad that the acromantulas had all attacked while he hadn't even gone to Hogwarts yet. He MISSED all the action!

But anyway, he would find some action in Dueling Club, he supposed. "Ha, ha ha, ha," Davie awkwardly laughed along with Yoongi. "Don't worry, I won't. My dad would be question my intellect if I did that." And he heard about it. Yeah. That would not be good for young Truebridge.

It wasn't often that Hady found herself over this way when she wandered outdoors. However here she was on this beautiful sunny afternoon standing several feet away from the tree as she observed it from a 'safe' distance. The tree itself was quite interesting with how it was able to move about on it's own and how it had a tendency to be violent at times. Only it was a tree...one she couldn't climb or even sit under without most likely ending up with a trip to the Healer.

Sooo what really was there to do over here? Hady turned her hazel eyes on the surrounding area in silent thought. At least it was quiet here if nothing else really.

Angel was just looking at the tree, when she spotted Hady. "Hey, Hady." Angel beamed putting down the pencil and the piece of parchment she had been working on. "What brings you over here?" Angel was sure she never saw Hady around here much, saying that she didn't come here often either, only when she was drawing or wanting to see how the tree moved because surely there was a simple explanation to why the tree tried to whomp you if you got too close, though she wasn't going to test her theory out, she was just studying it you know because she wanted to be an Herbologist when she grow up.

Angel smiled as she realised Hady looked a bit confused. "You, probably didn't see me because I was buried in this parchment." Angel giggled as she looked at what she had drawn so far. Dropping her gaze from the tree to the parchment that was being held out for her to see she realized it was a drawing. Hady listened quietly as Angel explained that she liked plants and wanted to study and explore them someday. That was really cool and bit like herself only with creatures. "Nothing at all wrong with getting a head start with something you're passionate about." She grinned a little bit. Like how she was doing everything she could to learn as much as possible about all types of creatures and healing methods.

It was a good day. Mhm. Hugo took a deep breath before going for a walk, not somewhere in specific but just out 'cause the castle was boring. Where to go? That was the question.

He looked to his left side and saw the whomping willow. For a minute he considered and then started to walk towards it. The tree always had intrigued him, like why does it want to punch you? Have someone done something to it so now it wanted revenge? He needed to investigate that.

The boy sat down not so close from the tree but enough to stare at it and ponder.

Noelle had been by the Whomping Willow, planning on another trip up to it. The last time she had touched the tree, it had been her and Ollie. They had raced up to it and touched it. Of course, the dare had been to climb the tree, so Noelle had managed to climb on one of the branches before being thrown off.

But she had made it out alive.

And now she wanted to do it again.
This time though, Noelle wanted to get further up the tree.

She was hesitant though because she didn't have her partner in crime to help her out of a tight spot of the tree got the better of her. She needed a partner.

Noelle looked around to pick a person to help her out... Errr... To date them to climb the tree with her. Who would it be? No... They were kissing. She didn't want to interrupt. Those two were having a lengthy conversation. They wouldn't do. That kid was picking his nose... She wasn't going close to his hands.


Finally her eyes fell on (Hugo) a boy looking at the tree. He looked older and able to grab her if she needed help. He would do. She watched to see if he picked his nose. After staring a few minutes and not seeing any boogers picked, she was satisfied.

Getting up, Noelle walked over to the boy and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me. Hi. Are you busy??" Because that was innocent enough way to approach someone.

Supposedly there was a "knot" that somehow make the tree to stay still but Hugo wondered where was it. Or if it was real and as much as he wanted to find out, it wasn't in his plans to have a broken bone so...maybe not. This was going into his questions list. Perhaps Dakest or Myers would know the answer.

But his thoughts were interrupted by a person. A girl, a little girl. He looked at her "Why?" Did it bother her that he was sitting here? Relaxing? Meditating? Better not 'cause he wasn't going to move anyways.

Why??
Noelle plopped down beside him because.... Why not?
"Well, because I was wondering. Have you ever played truth or dare?" Noelle asked. Which was weird, coming from a first year. Especially to just randomly interrupt a person.... Who was staring at a tree.

But it was for a good reason.
It would be fun.
Promise.

Noelle looked over at him with a smile. "Im not weird I promise." Wait that wasn't true. "Okay... I'm a little weird but I ask this questions for a very good reason."

To be honest, Hugo liked that game a lot especially if he could take out the truth from someone. Hehe. But this, this was unexpected...and weird considering they had only met. What kind of truth could he take out from her? Or what kind of....

Could he dare the girl to look for the "knot"? Maybe not 'cause that was dangerous but it was a good dare and a useful one.

"I have" he answered. Hugo listened to the girl and at the end he nodded "Okay. And what's that good reason?"

Noelle was positively delighted that he was playing along instead of shooing her away. She was used to the shooing. Her being a firstie and all. She turned her body towards him some, and wiggled in excitement.

"Well that reason would be because of one word...." She let a moment pass before she gave him that word. Dramatics. It was something Noelle excelled in. "Fun."

Noelle beamed at him. "i have a few dares up my sleeve that I think anyone would find challenging.. Yet fun."

Hugo looked curiously at the firstie the whole time. Interesting choice of words there. "Challenging yet fun" he repeated "How much challenging?" because he knew that it probably required something he didn't wanted to do so...yeah.

"And what about the truth?" he asked. There should be some balance, right? But maybe in this situation the truth wouldn't be really necessary since she probably wouldn't share anything of vital importance to him.

"What's your name by the way? I'm Hugo" 'cause if they were going to play they should at least know each other's name.

Angel smiled as she put the drawings back in her bag after her friend had looked at them. "I know, I want to try and get a good head start on plant life and I want to know as much as I can before I go exploring." Angel was totally enjoying talking to her friend.

"So what you going to do next?" Angel asked her friend, she was really bored at the minute and couldn't decided what to do next.
