The Treehouse Since it's first discovery in the 2050s, the Treehouse has maintained it's presence throughout the years with upkeep and improvements thanks to the many Groundskeepers. A massive tree houses a wooden fort that sits high up in its branches. A rope ladder automatically descends down upon approach. Once inside you are greeted with a spacious place to lounge, much larger than the exterior leads on. |
anyone's free to reply :D Yoongi was staring up at the treehouse with an odd expression on his face. He looked nervous as he stood in front of it but also determined. He wanted to get over his fear of heights. Especially after the Prefect event last year where he had made a fool out of himself. And his DADA OWL..oh gosh he did not even want to be reminded of that. Back at home, he had spend some time on the computer in the public library and had found some stuff about confronting your fears. So that was why he was here. Confronting his fear. He would climb up and make himself look down. Actually, he was fine with being up high but the thought of looking down made his stomach turn. Even the thought made him feel anxious and he wanted to get rid of that feeling. Plus, the tree house wasnt that high so it was a good place to practise. Alright. He was ready.....he took a deep breath and march to the tree. Only to stop, gulp and bite his fingernails and started to pace, deep in thought. |
*claims* Quote:
A Treehouse? Cool! She didn't remember if Zhenny had ever told her that Hogwarts had a tree house. The eleven-year old girl beamed excitedly. She really wanted to have a tree house for her private sanctuary! Too bad that her parents never made one for her and Teddy. But well, now she found one in Hogwarts! She spotted a familiar figure standing in front of the treehouse. "Gotcha!" She said in order to surprise Yoongi. "What are you doing here? Why don't you go up?" She curiously asked. |
Quote:
Yoongi walked back to the treehouse and determinedly started to climb up. He had taken two steps, not looking down yet when he heard a loud voice which scared him. "WAAAH!" He shrieked in panic as he lost grip and fell backwards and in a split second he was on the ground on his back without pain but feeling embarrassed. The cushioning charm definitely worked though, that was good. "I was trying to get up!" he snapped , feeling annoyed that his concentration had been broken. He got up to his feet and dusted off his clothes. Free from any leaves and sand. "Sorry, didn't mean to snap. You just surprised me" he sighed as he looked back up at the tree but the fall had made him even more nervous. "I was uh... just ..admiring the ..ground... yeah" yeah that was a good answer Yoongi! "What uh.." he leaned casually against the tree, folding his arms over each other and tried to sound natural. "What are you doing here? oh tall A" he stopped, remember her saying she did not like that nickname and sighed. "Ava, just Ava" probably wanting to climb the tree, duh. |
Anyone can claim! (Mentions of Yoongi and Ava) Hady was glad she had managed to get a few hours of decent sleep after the feast the night before. The noise and excitement that had surrounded her at the snake's table had the fourth year returning to her dorm with a pounding headache. Luckily for her when she woke today she was well rested and headache free. With not much to do so early in the day she choose to head on outside for a bit of fresh air and some sunshine before lessons began. Letting her feet lead the way she soon enough came upon the Treehouse. It had actually been awhile since she'd be here. As she got closer though Hady noticed two people were already there one whom she remembered a little from the last term (Yoongi) and one whom must be a first year since she didn't know her (Ava). Giving them both a slight nod of her head in greeting Hady proceeded past them both and up the steps to the Treehouse. Arriving at the balcony portion the brunette walked down the length of it only to sit herself down with her back resting against the railing facing the stairs. Stretching one leg out in front of her and pulling the other leg up to bend at the knee she let out a slow breath finding it rather relaxing as the light breeze blew through her hair. |
Yoongi and Hady... sort of The brunette lioness couldn't help but giggle when she noticed that Yoongi's surprised reaction was sooooooooooo HILARIOUS! HEHEHEHEHE.... "Oh come on, flower boy." She said. She didn't really shock him like an electric shock, okay? So he didn't need to be that panic. It's not that the sky was falling or the earthquake or whatever. He was gonna try to go up? "Well, why don't you go up now?" Ava curiously asked. Even the Slytherin girl (Hady) already went up and climbed the treehouse. What was he waiting for? Hmm..... "You're afraid, aren't you?" She guessed suspiciously. Because it seemed like he was afraid. No need to be ashamed, Yoongi the flower boy. And what was she doing here? "I want to climb, of course." She answered and started climbing the rope ladder. This was easy for her, she had learnt how to climb a tree waaaaaay before she could spell her own name. "Well, are you gonna come or not?" She challenged. There were two girls now watching him if he's gonna climb or not. You know that it's painful to be beaten by a younger girl, huh Yoongi something? |
for CASEY the LION(puff) Not only did Hogwarts have a playground, it apparently ALSO had a treehouse. AND WAS THIS TREEHOUSE GRAND OR WHAT? It totally put the house Genny Tate and her dad were making to shame, because Davie hadn't seen that one yet and ALSO because THIS TREEHOUSE was at HOGWARTS. Totally amazed at the sight of the house sprawling through branches, Davie walked up to the trunk a little open-mouthed. He almost got hit in his gaping mouth by the rope ladder descending with a soft thunk! Shaking his head, Davie quickly stowed his newfound parchment, quill, map, and notebook away in his messenger bag and then slung the whole thing around his back so he could climb. The rope ladder wasn't too difficult, but the firstie was still a tad winded when he reached the top. All he wanted to do was dramatically collapse on the floor like he had fainted a-la Charlotte Kettleburn, and so he did just that, complete with a high-pitched sigh and widespread arms and legs and everything. Even the FLOOR was comfy-awesome! |
Quote:
She climbed up about halfway, clinging to the ladder and her letters. She heard what sounded like footsteps up in the treehouse, but instead of leaving, she actually WANTED human to human interaction. So she climbed up, swung a hand onto the floor, and grunted. "Brother, help me," she said to the unknown person. Hopefully they would say "long live the king" and quote some more Lion King with her. She wasn't in the mood to fall. |
Quote:
Why don’t you have a try up now? Eeeeh….. Yoongi looked up at the tree house. He wanted to do his fear training alone. Not have an eleven year old watching his every move. This was just TOO EMBARRASSING. “I uh..” He searched for words because he did not want to admit he was afraid and he was SAVED by a Slytherin girl (Hady) walking by and nodding at them. HIS SAVIOUR! But then she started to climb up the tree to get to the house on top and his face fell again. “Why uh…why don’t you ..” he watched her climbing the rope ladder and he sulked again. “climb first…” he ended his sentence. Alright, who cared if kids were watching?! Just block them out and you’ll be fine Yoongi! Giving a firm nod, the very brave Yoongi grabbed the rope and started to climb. His heart was beating with each climb and he was positively shaking when he reached the top and grasped on the wooden railing. No one saw that he was deliberately trying to NOT look down right? But he needed to, for himself…. |
Quote:
Just kidding, someone WAS here to disturb him. Leaning up on his elbow at the call from below, David eyed the hand and the address as brother. Should he respond? Should he just free the hand and let the grunter fall? The ground beneath the treehouse was probably charmed to be bouncy anyway. The person really had nothing to worry about, but freeing their hand would require him to get up, and he didn't really feel like doing that yet, and even if he did, what if they came back up the ladder to get revenge on him?! So instead, he plopped back down and stared up at the roof of the treehouse, responding with a lazy, "I'm an only child, actually." |
Quote:
See, he was afraid to climb. Letting her climb first was one of that sign. Of course Ava didn't mind to climb first, it's not that hard for her. Hop hop hop! And now she's already on the top of the treehouse and now she kept an eye to Yoongi, would he join her to climb... or not? And.... he's climbing, people! WOOOOT!!! "Way to go, Yoongi the flower boy!" She cheered him up. "Come on, I'll help you." She offered her little hand. Hey, it might be little but her hand was strong, okay? Thanks to the karate club that she joined when she was in muggle school. "Isn't it fun, huh?" |
Quote:
On the rope, clutching it tightly, he shot a look at the first year as she called him that…name again. Was this revenge because he called her Oh Tall Ava? Ugh Karma. He ignored her though and as he took a calming breath he started to test his fear. He opened his eyes and looked down. The ground seemed to move further away from him as he looked and his vision started to black around him. He came back to his senses when he heard Ava and saw her hand. Abandoning all of his pretence, the Gryffindor grabbed her hand and used that to push himself up on top of the treehouse. “YEAH” He shrieked as he sat down on the floor and leaned his back against the railing. “REAL FUN” More like , I want to cry now. And his fingers hurt from her grip. |
Yoongi and Ava kinda c: Leaning her head back on the railing she closed her eyes. She could hear Yoongi and Ava speaking still but for the moment she didn't say a word to either of them simply allowing herself a little bit of time to relax. The breeze was rather nice as it swept through the leaves of the tree above her head and she couldn't help but take in another deep breath letting it out slowly. It wasn't long until she heard a shriek her eyes snapping open to see what had happened. Had someone fallen?! No. It didn't appear so unless someone else had arrived without her knowing other then Yoongi and Ava whom both had made it to the top. Hady's hazel eyes fixed on the older boy for a long moment as she looked him over once her eyes falling upon his face. Poor guy seemed frightened. "You uh, alright there,? she asked quietly but loud enough to be heard her question directed at Yoongi. |
Kita Skeeta pumkin eeeata Was this normal? Bentley was sprawled on his back with his camera next to him staring into the ceiling of the treehouse. He hadn't been here long enough for him to start missing his family the way he was. He was eleven!! Eleven year olds didn't miss their moms kissing them good night or staying up with them when they can't sleep...right? And he was sure they especially didn't miss annoying little brothers calling them cheese head. Bleh....stupid Heath....and stupid Belle with her stupid really adorable face and baby drool. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe if he practiced some magic he'd feel better. Hopping to his feet, Bentley reached through the window and pulled off several leaves. He'd just see how good he was at fire charms... Hehehehe He set the small pile of leaves down and sat a little bit off from it...."ahem..."incendo!"......nothing..."right...I'm pretty sure that doesn't even sound right...maaaybe I need to say it louder..." |
SPOILER!!: Hady and Yoongi Yeah, dude. You'd better find out what's the meaning of flower boy by yourself. And good luck for that. Hehehe. See? It's not only him who could come out with a nickname. But Ava somehow was being kind and supporting by helping Yoongi to come up to the treehouse. His face was pale like he's gonna passed out anytime soon, that's why she decided to offer a help. Okay, maybe at first he was too proud to accept her help since 1. He's a guy. 2. He's way much older than her 3. He's taller and bigger, but in the end Yoongi grabbed her hand and she tried to pull him up. Oooookaaaaay, he was heavier than she thought. But the brunette girl didn't need to pull him up since he pulled himself up. Good! Did he just shriek? Merlin, he was really afraid of height, wasn't he? But this guy managed himself to be here, up the treehouse. Wasn't that amazing? "But you did it!" She beamed. Then she noticed the Slytherin girl who came up first came to them. "I think he's okay." Ava answered. Or.... not. But still, saluted to Yoongi, who successfully managed his fear of height. Could we give him a big applause? |
XD That title though Quote:
A treehouse? Hogwarts had its own TREEHOUSE?! Forget about exploring the castle and trying to find nook and crannies for him to hide in if the time called for it, he was going to explore that treehouse all the way over THERE. The first year zoomed in that direction as fast as his Of course not. Phillip came to a stop right near the bottom of the treehouse, where a rope ladder came down to greet him. He climbed up it enthusiastically and stood on the landing, a triumphant look on his face. He was HERE. And if he had it his way, he wasn't going to end up moving until he started feeling peck-- "CAR!" Yep, the kid was going to get his company, alright. Phillip didn't happen to hear whatever it was Bentley was saying simply because he was too busy making small 'vroom-vroom' sounds as he headed up to the boy. "Whatcha up to?" he asked, plopping down next to the boy and looking between the Gryffindor and......... a pile of leaves. Normal, Car, normal. |
Quote:
For a tiny second he was confused...but then he remembered. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! "I only remember that my name is a car name when you come around. Funny........" He eyed him. "You're not going to call me Car all the time are you?" Side eyes. "I am trying to light these leaves on fire with my wand. I think I'm doing something wrong though. You try!" |
Quote:
Light...... the leaves......... on fire. ON FIRE. Huh. "In a treehouse?" If he lit the whole place on fire, nothing was going to stop Phillip from running outside as fast as he could. "OH YEAH! I wanna try!" Reaching inside, he took out his wand and held it up for a moment before pointing it over towards the pile of leaves. Light it. On fire. Just light it on fire. Like that was going to be hard. Everyone would know how to do that in this place, no doubt. So come on, Romalotti, what are you waiting for? .................... *cricket* "Psst! What's the spell again?" |
For Dora/Eriin and anyone else who wants us ^_^ It had been a few days since the feast already, and there had not been a single little knock at his door from a certain pair of tiny hands. That, had concerned him. At first, Sabel had tried to tell himself that Dora Umbridge was likely just enjoying the freedom, and having a blast with her housemates. He convinced himself that she didn't need someone hovering over her and checking in on her, so he had left it. Problem was, the longer he left it, the more irritated he felt. Probably because she had been so excited at the feast, come right up to him demanding a hug in front of all his colleagues. Little stinker that she was. But of course, she had got the hug she had wanted. How could he refuse? In his mind he convinced himself he would find some fun payback, but that thought held less merit the more and more the concern rose. Where was she exactly. So, without any more excuses to keep him sedentary, Sabel had made his way onto the grounds. If anyone asked, he was doing rounds. Which, technically he was. Who knew what ickle minds got up to in places such as ... treehouses. Stopping a few feet away from the base, Sabel considered the structure. Well, admired it was more true. It looked good. Better than it had in his day. |
SPOILER!!: Uncle Professor Dakest Dora HAD BEEN excited and she was still, deep down, but she was also a lot sadder than she had expected. And well... she didn't want to bother Uncle Sabel too much. That wouldn't be fair to hog all of his time, would it? Sitting on the tree house balcony, feet hanging over the side, she looked down on everyone and sighed. Her little feet kicked back and forth in the air WAAAYYYY up high. Glancing back over she was almost positive that was UNCLE Sabel down there... but it was too high up to be sure so she just peered over and squinted some more. He could see her, right? Did he know she was there? She'd quietly observe for a bit before she threw a shoe down to be positive. She had helped injury the man (ACCIDENTALLY) enough over the years to know his yell at least. Hehe. |
Ava and Hady :D sorry, no quote Yoongi wasn’t sure if he liked Ava or not. She looked and was helpful at times. Like now when she had offered a hand to help him up. But she could also be mean and…well he guess it was because of her age. Mischievous. That’s what she was. He tried to stand up and he managed to do so by holding on to the railing and looking up at the sky. A deep breath iiiiin and ooouuut. When he was getting used to the height, Yoongi turned his head in the direction of the Slytherin girl whom had greeted them earlier. And he frowned. If he was alright? DID HE LOOK ALRIGHT?! NO HE WAS MIGHTY FINE. He fought the urge to roll his eyes when Ava answered the question for him. “No I’m not okay! I don’t like heights but I went here to confront my fear and “ he made a unintelligent sort of noise that sounded a lot like ‘gaaaah’ and threw his arms in the air in frustration. “If either of you two tell someone i won’t say or do anything but I will silently despise you forever” hmpf. “Now, where do I get down from here? “ he had been up here long enough. |
Quote:
He could probably count on one hand the amount of times that he had actually been in a car. He shrugged. "I don't know how I feel about cars. You should show me a picture of it sometime. I hope it looks cool!" Bentley shuffled over, feeling excited about having a fire started...when Phillip dropped his shocker! He groooaned. "It's Incendo....or incendio..or insenso... I can't seem to get it right. Just try all of them." |
SPOILER!!: Little Dora As he peered at the treehouse, he could see a slew of kids clambering through, up and around it. Likely there were more on the inside too. It made him smile a little. At least it was getting a good use. And at least kids still knew how to entertain themselves outdoors. Create their own little mini adventures. He was deliberating on how much help he could be to adding to such adventures, and admittedly the wisety of doing such a thing, when a certain pair of shoes caught his attention. Pink. They were glaringly pink. Which, while there were more than a handful of young girls in Hogwarts, he was fairly certain he knew exactly who those shoes belonged to. Only one would have shoes as pink as those. Following in her mother's footsteps. That was, if it was indeed Dora. He was almost positive it was, but then, eyes could be tricky things. So, he gave a slight wave - as she seemed to be staring in his general direction anyways - and started towards the treehouse to try and see better. |
SPOILER!!: Ava and Yoongi Okay wow. Conflicting emotions much Yoongi? Hady said nothing. Not one word for a brief moment in time while she listened to the girl say that the boy was alright. Immediantly after though the older boy began to shout again with a look that appeared to be panic on his face. And was that supposed to be some sort of threat or something he just gave her? Silently despise her if she didn't tell him how to get down? Hady held back a laugh. Honestly she wanted to do nothing more then laugh right now but in a way she felt oddly bad for the older boy. So resisting the urge to roll her eyes and say something stupid in reply to him she took in a deep breath of air and slowly let it out. "The same way you got up here. Slowly lower yourself back down over the side and take the ladder one rung at a time." There really wasn't any other way down unless someone levitated him down or well he jumped and that probably wouldn't be a wise idea. "If you like I can climb down first and guide you down," she offered quietly shifting her gaze from them both down over the side of the railing to the ground as she rose to her feet. Walking over to Yoogni she knelt down beside him to look at him. "First though just calm down. Take a few breaths and relax you're okay, you're not going to fall. Also though, if you're that bad with heights the best way to overcome that would be achieving the goal one step at a time. Like sitting on a slide or the monkey bar not climbing up into a tree house." Sorry if that didn't help but it was just an idea. |
Quote:
...and she kicked her feet so hard that one of her pink shoes flew right off of her foot... and fell dooooown toward Sabel's head. OOOOPS! |
not quoting either Yoongi was freaked out. Like.... seriously freaked out. O__________________O She knew that phobia of heights were real, when she was in primary school there was a kid who had the similar case with this but.... Okay, this one was soooo hilarious! The lioness tried not to laugh because it was bad to laugh at somebody who had a fear. But... Apparently she failed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! "I'm sorry...." She apologized and tried to hold back her laugh. Deep breath, girl. Deeeeeep..... breaaaaaath.... Okay. "But your face looks so funny when you're freaked out.." Don't judge her because it was totally true! Ava wished that she could take a picture of this guy's freaked out face, or maybe Bentley would do that since that boy loved to take pictures very much. But now he wanted to climb down already??? "You should stay for a while." She suggested. Because he HAD struggled to climb up here, so why he wanted to go down too quickly? Yoongi had to stay for at least.... five minutes, enjoying how fun being on top of the treehouse, or on top of the world maybe. "But that's up to you." Since the Slytherin girl had guided him ho to climb down from here. |
Quote:
She pulled herself up a little more, propping her chin up on the floor. Oh! It was the boy from the train! "Sad." She could NEVER imagine being an only child. She shuddered at the thought. |
Quote:
Show him a picture? WOAH WAIT HOLD ON. "Have you never seen a car before?" This guy needed HELP. "I have magazines that I can let you borrow. They'll tell you ALL you need to know." Not his really good brand-spanking new ones but his other ones. Car wouldn't mind, right? SEE? HE didn't know either! PSH. Try all of them? OKAY. "If I set the place on fire, you didn't see anything, okay? Kapeesh?" Phillip then cleared his throat and pointed his wand over towards the pile of leaves. Uh. If this went horrible wrong -- which it MIGHT -- he was RUNNING FOR IT. "Incendo! INCEEEEEEEEEEEEENDO! INSENSOOOOOOOOOO!" .................. Nothing. Not even a spark. Phillip glanced over at Bentley before crawling towards the pile of leaves. Nope. Nothing there either. "The spell doesn't work, Ben." |
Quote:
Davie rolled over and spun himself around (this floor was SHINY and WELL-POLISHED, good work, groundsdude) so he was face to face with the speaker. Why she hadn't come all the way up into the tree was beyond him but then he recognized her. The climber from the train! "Don't be sad. You're nearly in a treehouse! That's no occasion to be SAD." Duhhhhhh. |
*mention of Phillip & Ben's fireventures too* ;) Quote:
Either way, he was going up, because well....why not? Who said Professors were too old to climb trees? His bones, for one thing, did remind him a little of that as he started up, but all too soon memories of climbing in his younger days were making it a second nature. He was about halfway up when two things happened. The first, was that he thought he heard someone yelling what sounded like a botched version of a fire incantation. The second, was that when he did twist his neck to have a look up, and see if he might be heading into a firestorm, there was a rather pink shoe to greet him. Right in the kisser too. Sabel's face scrunched up with the impact, a grunt leaving him as the shoe toppled off his face and to the ground below. Cracking open one eye, Sabel frowned at the little girl above him. The one that, his blurry vision did confirm, was one Dora Umbridge. Missing, a shoe. Well, he would be bringing the print of it up on his face. The shoe itself, would have to wait. Climbing the rest of the way up, Sabel plopped onto the boards beside Dora. He took a second to lean back, craning his neck to see if there was any smoke or fire anywhere. Not as of yet, so his attention turned to the ickle firstie. He pointed at his face. "Did you perchance loose something that looks something like this?" Because he was positive there was a dirt print on his face. |
Sabelll Okay... that was pretty funny. The shoe had hit him directly in the face and it was ALWAYS funny when someone got hurt. Always. The feet kicking continueD as she watched the professor climb up toward her. Hehe. He had done exactly what she had wanted him to. He was sweet that way... even if he didn't actually know she had wanted him to come up. When he plopped down beside her she smiled slightly at him and peered over the side. "Total accident, " she said as she looked down at the small pink dot on the ground. That was unfortunate. Without hesitation she used the toes of her socked foot to push the heel of the other shoe off and watched it drop to the ground as well. Problem solved. Now her eyes traveled back to his face and she reached over with her bare hand and tried to dust the shoe print off. Total accident... again. And maybe it was an accident that she poked a finger in his stupid deep dimple, too. MAYBE. UNCLE PROFESSOR DIMPLES. Unsure of what to say or do she just patted his cheek and looked back down toward the ground, her head was full of thoughts, but words didn't seem to come to her. Sighs. Was she in some kind of trouble for the man to have sought her out? She attempted to look little and innocent just in case. |
Hi Professor Dakest, nothing to see here Quote:
"Oh you have a sister too? How old is she? Mine is going to be three soon. Her name is Belle." "I have TOO seen cars!" Ben replied defensively. "And my dad has a bike, that goes really fast and is super cool. I've just never seen a Bentley car." He clarified. "Agreed. See what? What are you talking about?" See? He was good at this. "Stop Stoop Stoooooop! I remember!" He finally remembered. "It's Incendio!" Bwahahaha. Bentley cleared his throat and pointed his wand at the pile. "Take my camera and get a picture of this. It's going to be epic!" "Incendioooooo!" And there it was... "Fiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" |
For Adelynn! As Colt was busy still getting his bearings around the grounds, he noticed for one thing this castle's grounds was HUGE. He would get lost easily if there wasn't any students around to know which place was which. As he explored some more he noticed there was a treehouse. He tilted his head and wondered what it was like inside. He began to climb up naturally because his cousins and him would always climb trees on their farm. Their parents wouldn't be too fond of it because they were worried about them breaking bones. Not that it hasn't happened. He had more of a chance breaking a bone playing a sport than climbing a tree. As he made his way to the top, he looked inside the treehouse and nodded. He could chill out here for a bit. Seems like he wasn't the only one because others were here too. |
SPOILER!!: Hady and Ava~ The looks on both of the girls faces suggested that they wanted to laugh at him. He saw it. It was written all over their faces and his suspicion got cleared when Ava did laugh. It was a loud and Yoongi’s upper lip curled up as he looked up at her. “Oh yeah SURE. Let’s laugh at the guy with a height phobia!” he said , rolling his eyes and then fixed them back on Ava with a glare. “How’d you feel if I start to laugh when you’re scared out of your mind HUH?!” honestly, he was never …insane…like this but this was serious. He wanted to get over his fear and he tried so hard and then this little KID laughs at him. Obviously, he was annoyed and he still wore the glare on his face when Hady spoke to him and told him to calm down and take deep breaths. He took one breath, a second, a third. “NOT HELPING” he shrieked and stood up from the treehouse floor. It had taken him nearly half a day to get back to his senses when his sisters forced him to take the elevator and go up the Eiffel tower in france. And now it was his turn to laugh. Monkey bar ha. “I’m fine with monkey bars, my fear isn’t THAT great that I can’t even sit on a monkey bar” ….as long as they were kids sized… A glare back at Ava. He should stay here for a while? It was like having two entities on his shoulder. The angel , Hady who offered better advice and Ava, the demon who offered to stay in his fear. And strangely he chose her advice. “Yeah, you’re right, I’m up here now if I quit now I’ll never get over it” and he walked to the edge, taking a deep breath and looked over the wooden railing and down. Merlin’s Beard that was HIGH. |
Quote:
NO WAY. Hogwarts was officially the coolest school ever. She didn’t have anything like that back at Beauxbatons. She ran over to it and the rope ladder swung down. She smiled up at it and climbed her way to the top. Once she got up there, she saw a familiar face. She wasn’t sure if he would remember her, since it was a brief meeting. Either way, she approached him. “Hi! Colt, is it? I think we met at the feast.” She gave him a smile. |
Quote:
He found some bean bag chairs and chilled in them. He invited Adelynn to do the same and gestured her over. |
Quote:
So far life at Hogwarts was definitely an experience to say the least. But Adelynn was enjoying every minute of it. At the mention of the overwhelming feast, Adelynn nodded. "It was! I tend to favour more one on one time more than big groups anyway, to be honest." She said as she walked over to join Colt at the bean bag chairs and then sat next to him in one. Adelynn did tend to be more introverted as big groups seemed to stress her out at times. So she wasn't exactly a social butterfly but she was working on getting to know more people this year. She was a teen now, after all. And teens are supposed to be fun and hang out in big groups right? It always seemed that way. |
SPOILER!!: Ava and Yoongi As Ava laughed and laughed loudly at that Hady managed to keep herself in check. Laughing wasn't going to help the situation at all. She was proven correct on the matter when Yoongi began speaking about laughing when they were scared of something. Oddly enough he could laugh at her all he liked, there was noway she'd be telling them what she didn't like. However when she received a glare and a shriek that her suggestion wasn't helping she had to force herself not to glare right back. She was better then that. Though she did have to remind herself that he was afraid and probably didn't mean to yell at her...or well them (Ava too) for that matter. Pushing her hair back from her face the fourth year waited to see what the older boy wanted to do anyhow. And when he choose to remain up in the treehouse she simply nodded her head. Good for him for wanting to continue forward with getting over his fear. After her suggestions had been shot down and not exactly in the nicest of ways she opted to keep her mouth shut for now, if he wanted or needed her opinion or help he'd ask. However what she did do was turn around and rest her hands on the railing to look down over the side as she took several deep breaths letting each one out slowly. |

Haha, we'll see Mr. Bellaire-Moore ;) SPOILER!!: Fire-Kid SPOILER!!: Dora "Accident, huh?" Sabel mused as he watched her little toes wiggle off her second shoe and send it plummeting down below. He was pretty sure there were some rules in place about not littering over the side of the treehouse, just like there were in apartment buildings, but given there was no one below to get walloped, he let it go. "You might want to get that checked out. Looks like a habit waiting to happen." His serious business face was slowly working it's way into a smirk, however, as her little hands went to try and clean his face off. And do that annoying dimple-poke her mother had been so fond of. Merlin the apple hardly fell far from the tree. Or in this case, the pink shoe. It also made it mighty difficult to try and keep an ear on the rest of the treehouse and what he had thought was a fire spell in the making. He suspected he heard a cry of some sort of victory of some sort, but perhaps his ears were just getting old? For the moment, he was thoroughly distracted by the pouty face before him. All smiles one minute, all sadness the next. With a sigh, Sabel plopped his elbow on top of Dora's head, finding that her height made for the perfect arm rest. "What's up squirt?" |
Quote:
Did he mind that she had poked his dimple? Certainly he didn't since he hadn't swatted her away. She hugged the bars of the railing and LOOKED AROUND. "We're up so high... it's like nothing can hurt up here. " Right? They were unreachable, right? RIGHT. AHHHHHH!! Why was his elbow on her head? Siiiigh he was bigger and all important professor like so she could not really argue with him. Could she? Leaning into his side she SIGHED and pulled the letter from her pocket that Orlando had sent. "I miss my Mummy and Daddy. " |
SPOILER!!: The first-year stopped laughing once Yoongi looked so mad and freaked out. Okay, she knew that she wasn't supposed to laugh at people who had phobias. But she couldn't help because his freaking-out face was funny, like he wanted to wet his pants anytime soon. "I'm sorry, okay?" She said and showed her apologetic innocent grin. Ava glared at Yoongi when he snapped at the Slytherin girl. "She's just helping, you know?" And that's rude to snap at someone who's trying to help. "Maybe you're older, but sometimes you have to accept the help even from someone who is younger than you." Eyes on you, Yoongi something. Just because you're older it didn't mean that he knew better, right? Right. She didn't want to force him though. Feel free to climb down or stay there. And he chose to stay. "Great!" She grinned at the flower Yoongi boy. "I'm gonna go down and get some food. I'm hungry. I think you are big and brave enough to be here all by yourself." Then she started climbing down from the treehouse. Perhaps she should make a suggestion to Mr.Groundskeeper to build a slide or firefighter pole to help them go down from the treehouse because it's cooler and more fun than the ordinary ladder. |
SPOILER!!: Ava She was still a bit...angry herself but she was doing alright keeping her mood and emotions in check. So when Ava cast a glare at Yoongi and stood up for her she was a bit surprised. Glancing the girls way she semi shook her head, her hair falling into her face as she did. Not bothering to push her hair aside she let out a breath before speaking, "It's fine. No big deal. He's upset and stuff." Yeah maybe not the best reasons to snap at anyone but she understood it. She'd also just let it go. No point in making things worse right now. When Ava said she was hungry and leaving though Hady couldn't help but be confused though she didn't let it show. Why come all this way, climb up here and then leave? Strange but whatever. Sitting here was just good with her. And sitting here is what she was going to do whether or not they left or stayed up in the Treehouse with her. |
He should have been studying, or at the very least working on homework but this felt like one of those lazy saturdays where you were certain nothing would get done until tomorrow right before lessons for the Monday. Blaise had left the Common Room early enough that morning, with nothing but his quick quotes quill and notepad. He wasn't looking for a story but rather going over the content he'd gotten. It had started last night but his eyes had gotten heavy and with the window he'd left open by his bed allowing the warm evening breeze in, the boy had fallen asleep in no time. Currently he was laid flat on his back up in the Treehouse, chewing on jelly slugs while his notepad floated above him, giving optimum view of his notes. Occasionally it would flip to a new page once it was sure he was done which left him nothing to do but enjoy. Funny how he didn't remember anyone gazing 'longingly' at him but that might have been the reason that one girl nearly ripped his notepad apart earlier in the week. |
Oliver had explored almost all of the grounds, but had yet to venture inside the treehouse. A tragedy like that had to be rectified. Luckily it was an easy fix. After breakfast on Saturday, Olly made his way down to the grounds. It was early enough that it wasn't too busy yet, but he didn't think there would ever be a time when there weren't at least a few people milling about the Hogwarts grounds. He didn't blame them; it was a very nice place to be. As he approached the treehouse, Olly wondered how to get up there. There didn't appear to be a ladder, and the trees were not optimal climbing trees. As he got closer, however, a rope ladder dropped from above. Nice. Olly climbed up and up, finally pulling himself into the interior of the treehouse. It was just as awesome as he'd been expecting, but much bigger on the inside. Magic was awesome. Speaking of magic, Olly spotted a pen and paper floating above a boy's head. Oh hey, it was Blaise! Olly made his way over to the boy and sat on the ground next to him, criss cross applesauce. "Hi Blaise!" He greeted. "What'cha doin'?" |
SPOILER!!: Olly! Blaise had only just gotten through reading his accounts of last night's dinner conversations when he heard the rope ladder drop on its own. Naturally he took this to mean someone was coming and NATURALLY he hoped it wouldn't be some older kid demanding he leave the Treehouse because it was THEIR spot. It happened, first week at Hogwarts. He'd climbed back down so disappointed he didn't know what to do with himself for the rest of the afternoon--besides have his quill write a bad report about them. Thing was, he didn't know what to do with that article now so it was just sitting in his notepad with all his other memories of the term so far. Instant relief washed across his face when he realized it was only Oliver! Phew. All good. They were friends at least so he wouldn't try making him leave. "I'm just catching up on stuff my quill wrote this past week. It's all a lot more interesting than I remember it being." Which was half the fun of ever using a quick quotes quill. Yup. "I'm just about caught up by now I think." The boy didn't bother moving into a sitting position like his friend was but he did slide over his pack of jelly slugs. "Want some?" |
SPOILER!!: Blaise Huh? His quill wrote? Did that mean Blaise himself had not written it? Huh, he must have one of those cool Quick Quotes Quill. Nice. "Anything about me in there?" He bet he'd be even MORE exciting after a QQQ twisted everything. He hadn't seen Blaise much in the past week though, so he didn't have very high expectations. CANDY? Olly was always up for candy. Definitely. He grinned and took some of the slugs offered to him. "Thanks," he said enthusiastically. There was silence for a moment as the first year(s) ate. "How are you liking Gryffindor?" That's what Blaise had wanted, yes? At least someone was happy about the sorting. |
SPOILER!!: Dear Dora See, the thing was, Sabel had grown up saying weird things. It wasn't just an adult happenstance. It was a natural occurrence for him. So that look she was giving him, he was no stranger to it. Which, also happened to mean it didn't really bother him, as in he didn't really notice it. Kicking his feet a little, Sabel looked over the edge of the treehouse. Nothing could hurt up here? Which meant...something hurt down there. His gaze went to Droa, only to be greeted by the sight of a letter that she was suddenly holding. His elbow slipped from her head, so that his arm was wrapped around her shoulder. He gave her a side-hug at her words. "I miss your mom too." Her dad? Well, no. Not a bit. For his own reasons. "But there are little bits of here in Hogwarts, to keep you company. And I'm sure your dad....has his own ways of letting you know that he's around." |
Quote:
Sabel missed her mum too... this made her kind of sadder. "You knew her longer than me. She was awesome, right? " And really she already knew her mum was the best, but sometimes she liked to hear it. All of pauses at mention of her dad... oh well. Not everyone understood how amazing her father was. He was the best, nicest, and most loving person Dora had ever met despite the rough exterior. "Daddy writes all the time, but it's not the same. And Sirius isn't here either. That makes it harder, Uncle Sabel. " |
SPOILER!!: Dora It was hard to say 'no', to a kid that he had usually ended up saying 'yes' to. Especially when it came to hugs. Problem came when he wanted to maintain some image of a tough exterior. It was rather difficult, when a Dora was trying to make him look like a big ol' softie. An even bigger problem when a sigh left him and he didn't put up a fight. Indeed his own thoughts were snagging on memories of Lex. There was a good mixture of them, all the way from the wonderful to the completely ugly. They had shared their differences, and not been quiet about it. "She was a spitfire. One of a kind." Her father on the other hand, well he was impressed the man knew how to write. A good thing though. It would have been heartbreaking if Dora had nothing to hold onto of her family. He gave the girl's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "It'll get easier. Soon you'll be having so much fun making trouble, that you'll never want to leave Hogwarts." |
Move RP stage here + Noelle SPOILER!!: Assume Noelle saw Henric here :D "And what is wrong with that? Not just the ladies have their beauty sleep, we need ours too. This flawlessnes of a face I have doesn't grow by itself." He flashed a grin at the first year."Besides I was just closing my eyes, kid. See...I have study notes." PROOF! Heheh. "What were you doing screaming earlier?"he asked, raising his eyebrow. |
Quote:
"My roommate was talking in his sleep last night, showed him the notes this morning and he nearly died." It had been so funny that Blaise didn't bother telling him the quill made up most of it. That would ruin the joke running around his dorm that morning. As for how he was liking Gryffindor, well, "It's everything I imagined it would be and I love it! We have a really neat Common Room--'m sure yours is nice too but I've never seen it so I can only vouch for mine. I like our Head of House too AND I finally get to say I'm a lion." The notepad floating above his head now only served to taunt him. He wasn't used to unrecorded conversations anymore but right now his quill was on hold. It was an odd feeling. "What about you? You didn't know what house you wanted when I last asked. D'you like Slytherin?" He bet it was nice but obviously not as nice as Gryffindor. |
Quote:
Adelynn nodded to Colts views on being alone sometimes. She perked up at the mention of Ravenclaw. "Ravenclaw, indeed! I love it, I honestly can't see myself being in any other house." She smiled, and tried to remember what house he was in. She was pretty sure he said something about Slytherin at the feast. "What about you? How's your house?" |
Quote:
He now was beginning to climb the tree house. "I am actually loving the view of this place." He began going up the ladders and reached the top. He waited for her to catch up. "So tell me your story." he joked with her. "You a transfer or you always been here?" |
Quote:
Noelle cocked an eyebrow at him and slide over to him. 'Kid? DO you have a habit of calling people younger than you kids?" She gave him a LOOK. Because really. She was ELEVEN now. Not kid. five year olds were kids. She.... SHE WAS NOT. SO there. Humph. Flipping her hair, she grinned at him again. 'Im Free! From classes that is. I dont know how people go to them ALL DAY LONG!" because gosh gollie gee. 'And I have to do it for the next 7 years??" She leaned against the tree house wall. 'Cooped up in a classroom or castle? I just... no i cannnnt!" |
Quote:
Adelynn gave a bit of a laugh. "Yeah, it's uhh pretty childish but I mean it's alright I guess." She said trying to sound cool. She was totally into the whole Treehouse thing. At the mention of Kate, Adelynn smiled. "Yeah, she's my room mate! She's so lovely." Kate had been the first person she met while on the train and they not only ended up in the same house, but in the same dormitory. Friendship goals achieved. "Why do you ask? Are you two close?" Despite sharing a dorm, they hadn't gotten around to boy talk yet. And well, Adelynn was a curious soul. "Slytherin! Today must be my lucky day because I hadn't met a Slytherin until now." She said with a smile. "I heard you guys have the coolest underground view of the lake? Tell me, have you seen any underwater creatures?" She always loved learning knew things about the other houses and had a special interest in magical creatures. Adelynn followed Colts lead up the ladder, and reached the top. The view was pretty cool, but she enjoyed the breeze more than anything. When told to tell Colt her story, she looked at him and gave a little laugh. "Well let's see. My mum is a French fanatic so she sent me to Beauxbatons for my first two years of magical education. It's a great school, really, but it just wasn't for me." She said, looking out into the distance. "I spent most of my free time there studying other schools and Hogwarts seemed like the perfect place for me. It took some convincing but finally my parents agreed on letting me come here to start my third year and well so far I've loved every minute of it!" she turned her head to Colt. "So what's your story?" she teased back. |
For Kerri! ^_^ Aldous was on one of his tours. He managed to visit almost all of the places in the school save for a few. And that was just not acceptable, totally his fault for not organizing his time in a better manner. What a shame. That was not the way to act if he planned to be the greatest wizard of all times. Totally not. So he was fixing the situation and today's stop was the treehouse. The kid walked up there and stood fascinated as he looked up. Then the ladder dangled. COOL! He climbed up and sat down with his legs-crossed. Nice view they got here. From his pocket he pulled out a handkerchief in which he had cookies wrapped in there. Thanks to the house elves he was never out of cookies. He lay the handkerchief down in front of him and wrapped his arms around himself from the cold breeze. Good thing he thought to add an extra layer under his jacket. |
SPOILER!!: Aldous! Even with the temperatures dropping slightly over the past week or so, that would never stop Reagan from enjoying NATURE. Today's daily dose of said NATURE came in the form of the treehouse, which she'd planned to climb and then make herself comfortable in. She'd even brought along her satchel, packed with a thermos full of tea, a mug, a tin of biscuits, as well as her notebooks. ...and a fuzzy blanket. Of course, Rea hadn't planned on running into one of her First Year friends, Aldous! That seemed silly now, actually. It was a treehouse. Kids did enjoy them. So...technically, it made all the sense for the younger years to come out and have adventures here. "Hey, you," she casually greeted as she walked up beside him. Would he want to join her? |
Quote:
Not that this was not fun, gazing out and enjoying the view of the grounds. It was! But it would have been more fun if he had pleasant company. Which now that he thought of it made him wonder why didn't he ask one of his few friends to come and join him. Maybe because he was not that used to having friends but he saw how friends were to each other, asking each others favors and stuff and he liked it and planned to follow the examples he'd been seeing. Mhm. So Aldous sat there munching on the delicious cookies with hopes for the future. Then he heard someone climbing up. Which immediately made him wonder about the rules in such case, does he leave? Or stay? Did it depend on the person? Out of curiosity, he leaned forwards and poked his head to see who it was. LOOK! HIS REAGAN! The little eagle couldn't help but SMILE at the older nice girl. She never seemed to care that he was a firstie and was always helping him and others. She was perfect. "Hey, Rea!" He greeted her back enthusiastically almost knocking over his cookies. Calm yourself down, he thought. "Want a cookie?" He offered. |
*this cutie, I cannot* SPOILER!!: Aldous! Ugh. Reagan could literally gush over the cuteness of her little Ravenclaw buddy. Look at that precious face! Mhm, at some point, she'd claimed him as her own...and would protect him from all the horrors of the world; or more immediately, of Hogwarts. NOT that Hogwarts contained horrors, per say. It was Reagan's firm belief, STILL, that the acromantula attack (from the previous year) had been a vast misunderstanding. The acromantula were sentient beings. They understood feelings and speech. In her opinion, that whole unpleasantness could've been amended with patience and compassion. She was SURE of it. Alas... "No, thank you, Aldous." For butter reasons, but she offered a loving smile, instead. "Would you like to join me? I was going to lay a blanket out and have some tea..." Teeeaaaa, she'd always try to tempt people with tea. |
<3 Quote:
Oh, and she did not like cookies or something, the Ravenclaw noted that. Might needed it in the future. Was it maybe because they didn't look so pretty after spending some time jammed in the handkerchief? He knew he should get a tiny box for them or something. Did she just say tea? She carried tea around! She might as well be carrying happiness and offering it to people. His eyes may or may not have started glowing looking at her in fascination. But wait! WasSheAskingHimOutOnADate? His daddy used to invite ladies to have tea with him or coffee. Aldous' tiny cheeks reddened a little by the thought. Stupid, of course not. And why hasn't he said anything yet? "Y-yes, I love tea!" He told her pushing himself off of the floor a bit too excitedly, almost falling out of the treehouse and breaking his neck in the process. ALMOST . "Do you want help setting up ... things?" And a blanket was involved. This was NOT a date, he reminded himself. |
SPOILER!!: Adelynn! "It's just alright?" he asked her in disbelief. "This treehouse is amazing. I mean it beats mine back at home." he said still in awe at exploring this place. "Come on you gotta admit it is cool." he smirked. Ah so Kate was Adelyn's roommate. That was good to know. He snickered at her question. Are they close? He cleared his throat and replied, "Well kind of right now." I mean he just told Anna he had a crush on her and she did as well. So he didn't know if he should tell Adelynn but he was guessing they were close. "Wait I am your first Slytherin to meet? I highly doubt that." he joked with her. There were so many other Slytherins in Hogwarts he found it hard to believe. Ah so she heard the details of their common room. "Oh yeah we do have a nice view of the lake. It is kind of cool to see it underground wise. Oh well you can see the squid from our common room but I haven't see it yet." he shrugged. "I will eventually see it though I am determined." Probably once he sees it he will be starring at in awe. "I like our common room because it kind of like an eery feeling ya know?" He didn't really know how to explain it other than eery. The little slytherin began to hear about Adelyn's life a little bit. So she was french? That was cool to know. "That was like me with Durmstrang. It just wasn't for me. Even though I moved I was kind of glad I did.." Now she wanted to hear his story? He laughed and began with, "Well I was born in New York City, so I can visit the United States when I want." He loved that aspect of just going to New York City and getting real pizza and bagels. He also loved exploring the city and such too. "Then when I was five I moved to Europe for my mom's job and I went to Durmstrang and I stayed there for a bit. Now I am here in Scotland for my mom's job that forced her to move. She promised me we would stay here till I graduate though. I guess you can say I am kind of like a military brat just moving around a lot. Also my dad is head of a military school." He added in. He took a minute for to let it all sink in. |
sowiee for the lateyness xD Quote:
Henric laughed,"Yeah you're right...I had the same thinking too. But my dad told me once you get older...you'll be wishing to go back to school again coz' you don't have to worry about paying bills and such. I think he just probably missing the canteen schoolbreaks. Hmm.. its not that bad, 7 years to polish up your magic skills before you go on to the real world. You're still in first year, wait til' you get into your fourth or fifth, Noelle...expectations will be higher." *spooky hands* Scary, thinking about the future, wasn't it? Speaking of scary. "Oh yeah, Halloween is coming soon...are you planning to dress up for it?" Henric asked her. |
Erik!Dante Jet truly liked this area of the school. Being a natural outdoor person, she appreciated the fact there was plenty of space to be outside at Hogwarts. The fifth year calmly walked towards the treehouse and looked up to admire it. She took a deep breath and it felt like every cell of her body enjoyed the fresh autumn air. |
Quote:
"Jet, you want to start banishing this ball or look at a treehouse the whole time?" Dante looked up at where she was looking at and only saw a normal..magically tree-house and a tree. He liked being outdoors just not much into nature Shrug |
Quote:
Holding her wand, Jet got ready to catch the ball with the other hand. "Ready when you are." |
Quote:
"Well if you are ready then i'm not at fault if this hits you" Dante said as he threw the ball at her. Look alive, Jet |
#1 Quote:
When he threw the ball at her, she was a little surprised because she was expecting him to use magic. Jet did catch the ball anyway and gave him a confused look. "We're supposed to banish it, no?" And with that, she pointed her wand at the foam ball in her hand. "Depulso." The fifth year watched the ball go towards Dante and then took a few steps back to increase the level of difficulty. |
SPOILER!!: Blaise "Too bad," Olly said. Anything about him would have made Blaise's notes much more exciting, obviously. But the thing about his roommate talking in his sleep did sound pretty funny. Olly laughed. "Does it really just write down everything that happens around you?" Even when he was sleeping? That was cool. "If it happens while you're seeping, how do you know if it's the truth?" Olly was glad that Blaise was so excited about his house. "My sister's a Gryffindor," he commented. Blaise probably already knew that, though. If they were both Gryffindors he probably at least knew of Ellery - it was hard not to - but he might not know that she was Olly's sister. "I don't like being in a different house." He did not like it one bit. Being separated from Ellery was not something he was used to, and he had no intention of getting used to it. It was not fun. |
Post 1 Quote:
"Well i know fourth years are suppose to banish it." Not helpful for her at least he thought so. Unless she was a fourth year. Then Dante should be paying more attention to people. He pointed his wand at the ball sailing back at him and with a sweep of his wand. "Depulso...So how have you been Jet?" And right back to her with the ball and why not have a friendly chat in the middle of a game of banishing catch. Basically. |
#2 Quote:
When he sent the ball her way, she reacher her hand out and waited for it to get to her. "Not bad. My plants and Morticia are fine. You?" She asked as she finally closed her grip on the foam ball. This exercise was so simple it was borderline boring, though Jet shouldn't let that get to her. She took a deep breath and pointed her wand at the ball on the palm of her hand. "Depulso." The fifth year said, trying to now test different speeds. That would make the homework a little more interesting. And so the ball made its way back to Dante. |
Post 2 Quote:
"Depulso" There now this was just becoming routine or how you say going through the motions. "Morticia, now that is a name and Nothing to complain about with me. I have been keeping myself busy. You know 'forgetting' to tell first years where the trick steps are on the moving staircases and kicking them off the spot you wanted on the sofa in the common room" Plus all the school work and hanging out with friends. But those two things were amusing as well. It was true. |
Quote:
Oh!! But Halloween!! "I will be the princess." Of Hogwarts, since Cinna had already taken the queen title. But she leaves this year so next year SHE WILL RULE THE SCHOOL. "What about you?" |
Quote:
"I've met your sister." Blaise informed him, suddenly remembering the really loud girl from the Gryffindor party. "How come she thinks being loud is the only way to make an impression and have people like you?" Olly wasn't loud...not that he knew of anyway but his sister was another case entirely. "You should make your sister a Slytherin. She might like it and you'll like it too." Then they wouldn't have to be a part anymore which OBVIOUSLY bothered his friend. |
SPOILER!!: Blaise Olly just nodded thoughtfully, listening as Blaise spoke. He supposed that did make sense. He didn't really now how a quill like that worked, having never used one himself. It did seem handy to be able to have something take notes so you didn't have to do that yourself. Who cared if they were a little wrong? At least you hadn't had to do them. That would be Olly's opinion, at least. It was unsurprising that Blaise had met Ellery, they were in the same year and house after all. He tried to decipher the tone of voice his friend used when describing her. Was he trying to say that being loud was a bad thing. Was Blaise insulting Ellery. He decided probably not, mostly because he liked Blaise and thought he was a good person. And Olly didn't want to have to get mad at him for saying something negative about Ellery. Because he definitely would. Get mad, that is. He just shrugged. How was he supposed to explain Ellery. "That's just...Ellery." She had a big personality. "She likes to be the center of attention." Most of the time, anyway. He'd never really thought about why, because it didn't really matter. It might have come a little bit from being a triplet. Since there were three of them, they always had to compete for attention. But they never competed with each other, not intentionally at least. Maybe Blaise should be asking Ellery these questions. Again with the saying Ellery should be Slytherin. It had never crossed Olly's mind before being brought up by professor Flamsteed. "Or I could become a Gryffindor," he said. It made more sense to him. Why did Blaise immediately suggest Ellery becoming a Slytherin. Was he trying to get rid of her? He tried not to let his expression become too suspicious, because he was still assuming the best and giving his friend the benefit of the doubt. |
SPOILER!!: Gosh this kid XD He did ask Ellery those questions, he just felt like asking Olly now. The fact his friend said it was just how she was got a shrug from him and a glance at his quill. It still hadn't gotten up to recording anything because he hadn't told it to but now he was debating how much he needed the bit of information his friend had provided. It was basically what his sister had said and he got that jotted down somewhere in that notepad so...it was fine. "Alright." Just curious was all. His expression brightened at the suggestion Olly come to Gryffindor instead. "That's a brilliant idea! The term's still fresh. Bet'cha if we get the hat to change it's mind the Professor's will HAVE to listen!" THEY HAD TO DO THIS!! Why hadn't he thought of this sooner. "It'll be real easy--the hat tried putting me somewhere else but I kept strong in my resolve and such. All we gotta do is get our hands on it, plop it back on your head and boom you'll be a Gryffindor." Brilliant, right??? Oh man NOW he wished his quill had been taking notes. This was the making of a brilliant plan of action then he could get the Professor to switch out one of his roommates so Olly could room with him and Bentley! This plan was looking better by the second. |
#3 Quote:
"Depulso." She swept her wand in the direction of the ball to send it back his way. |
Post 3 Quote:
Those would be the words he used because he was friends with any of them yet. Though who knows in the future if he continues to talk to them. which was probably going to happen. "Depulso" Pretty soon. Dante will fall asleep out of boreddom and get whacked in the face with this ball. That would be hilarious fo Jet. Not for him though No. Not for him. |
#4 Quote:
This magical catch game wasn't the most fun and Jet was also getting bored. "Depulso." She said again with the same wand movement towards the foam ball, which started going back to Dante. "Right, I've mastered this already. You?" Ultimately, se would stay a bit longer if he needed to practise more. She hoped he didn't. |
Post 4 and This is a Wrap Quote:
"Depulso" Dante cast the the necessary wand movement. But this time he sent it straight up in the air for him to catch when it comes down. "Yeah i'm good on the spell and i think we are done." |
It's a wrapppp Quote:
Then he verbalised it too. "Brilliant." She said, watching him catch the ball. "You take it back, yeah?" Since he had brought it. "Cheers." Jet finished, starting to head back to the castle. If Dante was coming along, she'd walk at his pace, if not, then she was off. |
Text Cut: Colt Adelynn smiled. "Ok, yeah this is really cool. I didn't expect it be so big on the inside! From the outside it seems so small." She was still trying to figure out what charm was used to create the illusion. It was impressive. At Colts mention of his closeness with Kate, Adelynn raised an eyebrow. "Really? Tell me more." She said, surprised she didn't hear the latest news from Kate first. "Believe or not, you are the first Slytherin I've met! I mean you all live at the very bottom of the castle and us, Ravenclaws, live at the top. And the furthest floor I usually go down to is the Great Hall." She said with a laugh. Ah, the squid. The infamous squid. "Yeah, you must see it eventually! Maybe pull an all nighter waiting for it to show up or something....But have a friend stay up with you since the common room is eerie." It would be a sacrifice but worth it in the end if he saw the squid. Adelynn listened intently to Colts backstory. New York City and his dad being the head of a military school fascinated her the most. "Woah, i would love to see New York City! You're so lucky!" she continued, "Did you like moving around a lot? And it's so cool that your dad is the head of a military school. He must be a brilliant man!" she beamed. Anyone who had some experience working at a school whether be as a head, a professor, librarian, ground keeper, head of house, or anything else, she found to be amazing. |
SPOILER!!: lol <3 Oliver liked the way Blaise thought. He'd gone to Flamsteed already, but that had not worked out like he had hoped. Like he'd expected, yes, but not like he had hoped. But Blaise had an even better idea. Go directly to the hat and demand that it switch his house. It was the one entity that had that kind of authority (which he still thought was ridiculous considering it was just a hat). "PERFECT!" Oops. A little too loud, maybe? But Oliver was really excited, so you couldn't blame him. He grinned at Blaise, hoping he knew how to follow through with his idea. "Do you know where the hat is kept?" |
Astronomy HW Post 3 OOOOOH the treehouse would be the PERFECT place for Caleb to observe some craters! Plus all the light from the full moon was perfectly lighting his way, allowing him to see everything around him so he wouldn't fall and break his arm or something trying to climb up there. Once he was settled on the edge of the treehouse, he pulled out his telescope again and stared up at the moon again. He then picked out his next crater that he was going to label on his chart - Copernicus - and scribbled the name and label next to the corresponding crater on his chart. All these craters sounded familiar. Hmm. Why were they all named after Greek guys? He'd have to research that a bit... |
Sabbath was impressed to have learned there was a treehouse somewhere on the grounds. He’d set out determined to find it. One of the biggest struggles he was having after coming to Hogwarts was adjusting to being inside quite a lot more than he was accustomed. Sure, it was still only Autumn here but it was considerably cooler than his home country, Spain, so he’d been inside more and the result had been a feeling of confinement. Couple that with missing the company of all of his family, the sense of restriction was almost palpable. He wanted to get outside and knew there was to be a blood moon tonight, so he was keen to find a good vantage point. He collected a few books to read to fill his time. Merlin knows, he’d bombed his first potions lesson so badly, he knew he ought read up a bit. He headed out across the grounds. Impressed when the treehouse ladder descended towards him, he climbed through the floor hole and was equally amazed by the tree house interior. He entered, quickly spotting a cosy nook with large cushions that had a small window with a vista of the grounds and a ledge large enough to place snacks. Perfection. There were quite a few people in the treehouse already, and he wondered half-heartedly if there was anyone here he knew. Snuggling into the cushions with his books, he stared wistfully out of the window. |
For Tori <3 Summer was AJ's favorite season hands down because that mean hot weather, baseball in her back yard, and fun. Winter on the other hand made outside play a bit more challenging so thank goodness for hot chocolate. Being a witch did help out in that department too. The brunette was tired of being cooped up in the castle and was ready for a winter adventure. A snow ball fight would hit the spot. but she needed someone to play with. Equipped with a massive cup of extra hot cocoa, she made her way out on the grounds. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of people out and about, but could you blame them? Not really. Inside the castle there was warmth and food. She had that covered too though. AJ never went far without substance. That was about the only thing she planned ahead for. Deciding to get out of the snow, she made her way up to the treehouse. Ah. This was nice and comfy. She had decided that she would wait for someone to come along and demand that they play with her. In the meantime she kicked her feet up and sipped her drink. |

Noelle was still a little sad about her Baskin. But she had been held up in the castle for the last few days and wanted to get out and about. Grabbing her coat, she went outside. There were less students out here lately since the weather had taken a dip. At least it wasn't raining. Wrapping her scarf around her, Noelle went out to the Lake. It would be fun to ice skate on it. She would need skates, or learn to transfigure her own pair. Since she wasn't at that stage, she headed to the tree house. It was her quiet place and she figured no one would be around it since the cold out here. She moved up the ladder quickly and took a moment to peek out over the railing. She liked the view from here. Ahh. Yes, this is where she needed to be. Looking around, she saw her favorite person in the world. Smiling, she walked over and plopped beside him on the pillow. She smoothed out her skirt and smiled softly at him. "Hi." |
*Nells* Sabbath was broken from his reverie by a familiar voice and he turned to see HIS favourite person in the world. “Hey, gorgeous”, he beamed at her, his eyes smiling. She smiled softly and he saw her cheeks were flushed from the chill air outside. He motioned for her to snuggle in closer to him on the comfy cushions and it was then he noticed her eyes were a little sad. His smile fell away, “Are you alright, Nells? he said, his brow furrowed a little. |
Sabbie Noelles cheeks flushed.. Or flushed more since the cold had stung them a bit.. When he called her gorgeous. Sabbie was her favorite person in the world, there was no denying it. He invited her to scoot into the cushions beside him, but she scooted closer and grabbed a pillow to put in her lap instead as she sat Indian style. Then he was asking what was wrong. Noelle didn't like being upset. She was much too happy person. When she got sad, she liked to coop up so no one really knew. Or she got quiet. That's how you knew. But when he asked, she sniffled a bit. "Its... Nothing. " She stated and slid her legs to her chest. She was sad and she didn't wAnt to be, and it was making her more sad. Oh the vicious cycle. She needed to quit. "How are you? What are you doing up here?" She asked and tilted her head on her knees to get a look at him. |
Aware that she had deflected his question with a question, Sabbath sat up and mirrored her cross-legged pose. He noticed her sniffle, 'had she been crying?' He wondered. He avoided her question about how he was and what he was doing. “It doesn’t seem like nothing, Nells… Whats wrong? he replied gently, tilting his head sideways to meet her eyes as she rested her chin on her knees. |
Kori <3 SPOILER!!: AJ Marsha LOVED Winter. She loved the chill, the frost, the snow when it finally arrived. She loved PLAYING in the snow even more, but was always sad that it meant she was out of time for running until the snow thawed again… Safety first and all of that - she didn’t really want to break any bones unless she ha- no. actually. She never wanted to break any. Although, just because it was Winter and snowing, that didn’t mean that Marsha was fully bundled up against the cold; because she loved it and generally didn’t feel the affects of it too badly. So, dressed up “warmly” she had moved through the grounds, going for a walk at least, since she couldn’t run. Moving through the snowy grounds, she smiled at the Winter Wonderland before deciding to go to the Treehouse, perhaps the snow wouldn’t have made it inside and she could sit there and study for a little bit? As she got closer however, she noted that someone was already there… Who wa… AJ! Grinning, she walked a little faster towards the older Gryffindor. ”Hi AJ! Isn’t the snow magical?” She said, grinning up at the girl in the Treehouse. |

"My goat passed.... Baskins. I raised him since he was super tiny." Sniffle. Noelle was not going to cry. She wasn't going to do it. She'd already cried once and being sad.... Just didn't work for her. "And I miss my family... I want to see my little brothers and cuddle my mum." Now she was just being a big baby... But she just wanted to be home. |
Quote:
He couldn’t relate well to the love of goats, but he certainly could understand what it was to miss your family. Hadn’t he just been lost in thought, missing his own. “Well it sounds like we both have ‘saudades’.” he said to her. He couldn’t think of an equivalent word to explain the feeling in English. He guessed he'd have to try to translate it for her. |
Nat/Sabbie Baskins was VERY special. He was her first pet. The pet that stayed with her during the thunderstorms that were just a little too loud and shaky. The pet the followed her everywhere. The pet she woke up to and went to sleep at night with. Of course, she couldn't bring him to Hogwarts so he had to stay. Noelle nodded at Sabbies question and buried her face in her knees as the memories flooded her. Tears leaked from her eyes. At least she was hiding so Sabbie couldn't see her. Noelle heard him talk about missing his family. She looked up at him with her hazel eyes shining. Her tears still falling a bit. "Whats.. What's your family like?" She asked wanting to distract herself and because she was curious. Sabbie never talked about his family. |
Nells She had not told him about her family background but from her reaction, he could see that she had been strongly attached to Baskins. He pondered that perhaps she was raised on a farm, to have such an unusual pet. He could see it was a sore subject which she wanted to avoid, so he sought to distract her, for now. She’d asked him about his family, which just so happened to be a sore subject for him. He was generally reluctant to discuss that topic but, it pained him to see her so sad, so he resigned to tell her a little. He sighed deeply and began, "Well, I was raised by my grandmother but I have a very large family as I live with my cousins, aunts and uncles. As you already know, we are Roma and my kompania are performers by trade, we dance flamenco and are musicians, so thats how we’ve mostly made our living" He paused, thinking about what else to add. "We are from the southern part of Spain called Andalucia, but we travel quite a lot, too”. “…But, we don't stay too long in one place”, he added. “We have our own customs and ways, that can be, well, lets say, misinterpreted by the outside community. We do keep our culture strongly and keep to ourselves and, I guess some people can be afraid of that and harbour age old prejudices. It has always been better for us to keep moving." He shrugged, and wondered if she’d be happy with that or if she’d want to know more. He'd purposely skipped over the more painful details about his mother and father. |
Sabbie Noelle could feel the reserve he gave when starting the story and almost told him to forget telling about his parents because she didn't want him being uncomfortable, but then he was telling a delightful story about his culture. Noelle listened intently, distracted from her own grief about Baskins. She watched and imagined the dancing and the music. She could almost feel the way they stayed tight and together. But they didn't stay together in one place long? Different customs?? Noelle was curious about this. She did note that he said he had been raised by his grandmother. Where were his parents? Surely she could ask. They were Sabbie and Nells, the unbreakable bond. But first, she NEEDED to know what he meant by didn't stay too long in the same place. "Youre not leaving me right? You can't leave. How long do you stay in one spot?? What are these customs others don't believe in? Where are your parents since your grandmother raised you? .... You're not leaving me right?" Of course she might have asked the same question twice but, it needed to be answered. She didn't mean to have a waterfall of questions thrust at him either but... Her mouth did what it wanted sometimes. |
Nells Relax, Nells, I think I’m on my right path for now, I’m not going anywhere” He smiled at the concern on her face. "We stay in one spot for as long as there is work, or necessity, we are gitanos, we perform, so we do travel where work leads us. As kids we attend mainstream school but finish when we are 11, its then we are expected to continue and contribute to the ways of our culture and at around 16 we marry. But obviously my path is different, I am here and I am not betrothed." He thought she would probably find some of these revelations quite surprising, he was used to this kind of response. From some parts of the general population, sneering and discrimination against his people was as alive and well as it had been for hundreds of years. Although, he didn’t think Nells would be that way. “As for my parents, well, I don’t know anything about my father and I haven’t met my mother. She lives overseas”. He wondered why on earth he was about to tell her this. He’d never told another soul before. He paused and swallowed hard. “The story goes that my mother was attacked and she became pregnant with me. My grandmother refused to tell me more, she said it was too painful for her to discuss. However, on the third night of celebrations at my cousins wedding, an uncle who had had a little too much to drink told me a different story. He said, that my parents had been very much in love but that both families had forbidden their union. He said they were separated forcibly but not before I was conceived. My mum was 14 when she had me but it brought shame that she was unmarried and she was sent to live overseas with extended family. He paused in thought. So now, I don’t know which story is true. All I can assume is my dad must have been a wizard. There, he’d said it, it was all on the table. He cast his eyes downwards and picked at some lint on his robes. |
SPOILER!!: Sabbie Oh phew. He wasn't leaving. Not yet anyways. This kinda made Noelle sad though, because at some point, he would leave. Noelles stance relaxed as he talked. He was very good at telling a story that was lively.. Even one of his own. Her eyes trained on him as he told about his life. Noelle was fascinated and curious. She'd never heard of something like this. "So what does that mean that you're on a different track? Like would you have to marry at 16 years old? And what if they aren't like your family? So your grandmother is a dancer? Why did you come to Hogwarts? Do other people who live the lifestyle you live one here?" She had more questions but she had already bombarded him with enough. Then he was answering the important question about his parents. Noelle listened and frowned with every sentence. That was horrible to not know your parents and to be lied to about it. "So you never knew your parents..... Do you feel like you're apart of the family that you do have?" Meaning his grandmother and whoever else they lived with.[/b]" Then she scooted over and hugged him tight. "Im sorry you don't know your parents." |
Sophie stared up in awe at the Tree House. She had heard that they had one on the grounds but she had finally gotten around to visiting it. With the rest of the afternoon to waste, she made her way up. There were already a few people sitting inside and she smiled openly at them. They all seemed to be friends with one another and she did not want to intrude. Right away she noticed the drinks inside and she helped herself to a pumpkin juice. There was a bite in the air but she had her warmest set of robes on. Next she found a comfortable seat and made herself at home. After a while she observed those around her-finally landing on an upset looking girl, and she began to sketch. What felt like it had been an hour later- time was always escaping Sophie, she stood up and stretched. She looked down at what her sketch had turned into and was very proud of the final result. Sophie gave a final smile to those still around her and made her way out. Perhaps she would go bake some cookies. |
SPOILER!!: Nells Sabbath grinned, he could almost hear her line of thought. He shrugged and considered how to elaborate, I guess I am writing a new path everyday Nells. I know of no other of my people who have been part of the wizarding world. I’ve met no other like me here, although, I still have not met a lot of people, it is possible, I suppose. He smirked at her next question, he knew the young marrying age of the gitano, often seemed to be a matter of contention for the payo (non-gypsies). Marrying young is normal for us, Nells. For my people, a young woman is expected to be chaste until her wedding day, and you could say the opposite is expected for young gitano men. We mature young, I guess, in comparison to outside standards. But, the ache of the body cannot be quenched by values imposed by a society outside our own. The heart wants, when it wants. His eyes met hers, he skipped the question about outside marriage, and continued. My grandmother was a dancer, yes, all my family are performers, each has their strength, some are accomplished guitarists, others dancers, others singers. I was born with flamenco in my heart He smiled. He thought over her next question, I’m not sure why my grandmother changed her mind about sending me here. When I got my letter she dismissed it and I accepted that I would not attend. Then, I travelled away, as I was helping an uncle of mine who breeds horses. By the time I had returned, she’d changed her mind, She said she had been visited. I took that to mean she’d had seen a vision, but, I guess it could also mean someone came and spoke with her. I really haven’t given that a lot of thought. He frowned and made a mental note to ask her about it. He smiled gently at her final comment and held her in his arms, but he did not want her to pity him. No, I didn’t know my parents, but don’t get me wrong, my family life is full, and yes, I’m very much a part of it, that is to be certain. He wanted her help her to understand how his heritage was intrinsically part of him. I am wholly gitano, Nells, from this, I can not be separated. It is part of my being, part of my flesh, and as my grandmother often says, “La sangre manda”- My blood commands me. There was humility in his smile. He thought he'd try to steer the conversation away from his family, How about your family, Nells? Tell me about them |
