Looking for a spot to unleash that inner child of yours or perhaps to keep yourself in shape? This is definitely the place to go. Slides, monkey bars, swings, a see-saw, jungle gym, and even a pole with a tether ball attached is in place ready to be played with. You may also take a seat in the sand that surrounds all the equipment and build a castle. Not to worry though, there's minimal risk of injury here as a cushion charm was placed on the ground.
Grinning, Marsha looked over at the boy who had spoken to her. ”Thanks!” Smiling widely, she scooted around the back of his swing as he pulled forward so that she wasn’t in his way. Sitting on the second swing, she pushed off the ground with both feet and started to pick up the momentum needed to… well, swing.
After a minute or so, when she was settled in an easy rhythm, she looked over at the boy. ”I’m Marsha.” More smiles followed her name before she added. ”Oh, I’m a Gryffindor… I don’t really care what house people are in - but seem people still care about it.” Nodnod. And your name issssss….? Went left unsaid as she smiled at him.
Colt was still busy swinging and just enjoying nature. He thought Hogwarts was a beautiful place to be. As he was lost in his thoughts, he heard the girl introduce herself and ask for his name. "Oh right. Yeah I am Colt. Colt Winchester." he would have shook her hand since it was reflex whenever he met people. It was his father's fault being in the military and all. "I am a Slytherin actually. I just transferred here from Durmstrang and I gotta say I do love it here already.." he said looking out into the distance. He was curious though about her running around here. "Is there any good running trails to go around Hogwarts. I do wanna run but I have no idea where to.." Maybe she could help him out.

Being outside and getting dirty was one of AJ's favorite things to do. The fifth year decided that she was going to take advantage of the nice weather while she could. This was her OWL year too, so most likely she wouldn't be getting much free time. Might as well enjoy it before studying took up all of her time. She wasn't the most studious type and just thinking about having her head buried in a book was comical. If she wanted to amount to anything though, she would have to take the exams seriously.
Where to go? The lake sounded like a good idea. The wooden bridge always popped into her mind because it always made her think of Adi. No, she doubted he would be there and she had some energy that she was determined to burn.
As she walked further on to the grounds something from her childhood dreams caught her eye. Was that a playground fully equipped with monkey bars? Rubbing her eyes to make sure she wasn't imagining things, she began to run towards the playground. It was definitely real.
AJ hopped up and down in pure excitement while trying to figure out what to do first. A slide. AJ climbed up the stairs and held her arms straight up in the air.
"WHHHEEEEE!"
Yes, she was a fifteen year old, and no she didn't care how she looked right now. This was SO much fun. This was the life.
Chuckling to himself, the professor offered the Slytherin a Vulcan salute for good measure. If Mr. Barrington was trying to go above and beyond the call of duty and impress him...it was totally working. But if he thought that he was simply following the rules to a T...well... he ought to go refresh his memory again of the changes.
But he could appreciate a good 'live long and prosper' anytime, anywhere.
Pushing the swing a few more times with a bit more gusto, Airey snapped his head around at the Slytherin's inquiry. "No...but I may be now," he said, momentarily forgetting all about Newton's Laws and suffering the consequences.
Right below the asteroid belt.
With a load OOOOF and lots of manly whimpering, he somehow managed a tight lip smile at Mr. Barrington while his eyes squinted into tiny slits.
"Tell me more?"
Dante had yet to actually try what he was just talking about. But with an audience he would have to do it. Though He was sorry for distracting Airey at that moment because
MERLIN NOW THAT WAS A LOW BLOW PEBBLES
Dante flinched when he saw it. He felt sorry for the man. Dante probably would have snickered if he did not like the man.
Sorry to say.
"You want to sit down for a minute Professor. That usually helps......and well it is swinging on the swing as fast as you can until the swing goes completely over the top bar."
He never tried it at home. But hopefully this place had protection spells in place should something go wrong. You would hope so.

There was news of a few new things added to the school and grounds and Benny had decided to see if he could discover them all. So he had headed outside and down the pathways to happen further on down the grounds in search of one or another in his travels. Surely they weren't that off the beaten path. Sure enough he soon came up a playground that reminded him of a park near the school he had gone to when he was younger. It was certainly an interesting choice for a school of students that were mostly in their teens but he was game.
Benny walked closer, his gaze passing around to take in what was there. At the sound of a seemingly over-giddy student that sounded vaguely familiar, he turned towards the slide only to spot AJ as she zoomed towards the bottom of the equipment. Uh oh. The seventh year had managed to bypass most of the Valentine sisters for the most part but now he was out of luck, being close enough he couldn't be missed.

Um..."Hey..." Cue Awkward.
Her hair was flying behind her, and the air was hitting her face. Add some tacos to the mix and she would be one happy little lion. Sliding was fun, but she was up for something a bit more exciting. She sat at the bottom of the slide for a moment, mulling her choices over. If anybody was waiting to go down the slide behind her they were just going to have to chill out. Life decisions were being made over here.
A voice brought her back to the present. AJ hoped the person speaking to her knew that they would be playing tetherball with her. She looked up to see who the voice belonged to since she hadn't really been paying that close attention with the decision making process happening at the same time.
Benny! "Hey yourself!" It had been awhile since she had actually seen or talked to her older friend. The teary eyed Angel wasn't even registering in her mind right now with all the the cool stuff to play with at her very disposal. Not that the sisters had a chance to talk about it at all.
"Let's play tetherball. I have to warn you though that I'm really good." Plus, being low to the ground really helped with things. Benny's awkwardness didn't even register to her. In fact she hardly ever noticed things like that because he had been shy since the beginning.

She returned the greeting all fine and dandy and Ben watched and waited for some kind of further reaction to his presence. Something most likely negative given how he had treated her sister at the very start of term. Surely they had spoken about it, or Angel had gone to her for support or something. However whatever possible answer he could have probably tried to predict, when AJ continued speaking it was of something he hadn't imagined.
Tetherball.
She wanted to play tetherball with him?
"Um...I guess we can play," he answered, fighting the urge to raise an eyebrow and eye her. Hopefully this wasn't just an excuse to do something that was going to pay him back for the break up. For some reason, Benny wouldn't put it past the younger lion to be that creative in her behavior. "I stand warned." And curiously cautious at the same time. With that being said, he walked in the direction of the tetherball pole, waiting to allow her the first move.

Okay, something was off. AJ couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something about Benny seemed weird. Asking him to play tetherball wasn't something out of the norm for the older Valentine sister. She was very sporty and loved a good challenge, and yet Benny seemed like he was sizing her up? Hmmm... she was going to let it go for now because fun was about to happen, and Benny was about to get his butt kicked. Same thing though, really. Maybe that's what lingering look was for. He knew he was about to get shown up by a girl. Yeah, that had to be it. Couldn't exactly blame the boy either.
Yes. He was down for a game. Benny was even going to let her go first. Such a gentleman he was. AJ grabbed the ball and her normally smiling face faded, and was replaced by her game face. "Ready, set.... GO!" Now, he couldn't say that he wasn't ready. Her free hand smacked the ball hard, and she watched as it soared over in the direction of her partner.
"So, how's life?" She asked casually. It had been ages since the gang had been together. Lately the only one she had really hung out with was Adi, but they had spent time together over the summer with some different friends. This would be the last year they would all be at Hogwarts together and AJ really hoped for some more fun times with the the people she cared about the most.

She gave Noelle a thumbs up as she rose higher into the air. "The monkey bars have nothing on you!" When the first year had grabbed hold of the bars, Norah gave a loud whoop and held a hand up to give Hady a high five. "AW YEAH!" That was AWESOME. Her turn to get up now, yeah? She wiped her hands on her robes and positioned herself below a bar right in the middle. She could almost touch it if she went all the way to her tippy toes. Almost. With a squinty look of concentration, she bent her knees and pushed off the soft ground, grabbing on with one hand and then the other. Hehehehehh. It didn't even matter that her feet were barely off the ground. The monkey bars had LOST and they had WON and it was FUN, so there.

This little firstie needed to conquer these monkey bars whether they liked it or not and Hady would make sure of it! "Up ya go," She told the girl glancing up at her as she rose to her feet and tried not to laugh at Norah sounding all grown up like. That was really funny.
One moment there was hands on her shoulders, then there wasn't and the snakethe could clearly here the words of Noelle. They had done it! Woot!
"Now make those monkey bars pay for being up so high!" She exclaimed smirking a bit at Noelle and Norah. Taking a few steps back she watched them to see how they'd do. They'd make it across, yeah?
IM QUEEN OF THE WORLD!!!
Thats what Noelle was thinking as she took one bar at a time. She looked behind her and saw Norah on the Monkey Bars too. "YAY NORAH LETS DO THIS!!" She said giggling. she made it halfway across before she had to stop and dangle....
These bars would not win! Noelle heard Hady's encouragement and grinned big. ' Thanks right! Im going to make you pay bars for being so high!" She exclaimed. Because talking to inanimate objects and making them pay for them being themselves was cool right? Right.
Noelle knew Norah was probably right behind her so she stopped dangling and swung herself back and forth until she saw the last bar coming up. These bars were actually hurting her hands but that pushed her on. THEY WOULD NOT WIN! ONE BAR LEFT!!! Grabbing that last ba, she BEAMED.
"I DID IT HADY AND NORAH I DID IT! I SHOWED THEM MONKEY BARS!!" Noelle yelled before looking down at the ground. Hmm... not to get down... there was sand down there...
Falling, Noelle tucked and giggled as she landed on her back. She sprawled out and looked at the sky, and Norah above.

Airey tried to wave it all off like it was no big deal, but even waving his hand caused more than a bit discomfort...so he would take you up on your suggestion, Mr. Barrington. The nearest seat, however, was the swing....
How convenient?
Scooping Pebbles up, the Astronomy professor somehow sat down on the swing and took a few deep breaths in and out before looking up to examine the swing.
"Hmmmmm..." he mused as he tugged on the chains. "Chains have a bit too much slack to allow for enough momentum to get all the way over...but..." He did some more calculating in his head, stuck his finger in his mouth and pulled it out to test for wind, and turned back towards the Slytherin. "If we can reach a speed of 36 feet per second, we may make it the full 360...although it may be in our best interest to do a bit of tinkering with these chains first..."
Perhaps not just the chains either...Hmmmmmm HMMMMMMMMMM
Challenge accepted.

Benny was going to play this by year. Yep, he wasn't going to dwell on things too much. Perhaps there was understanding or they were just going to have a friendly game of tetherball on the school's new playground. Whatever the case, he probably shouldn't focus on the bad stuff all the time. He was a Gryffindor after all...he didn't want to be afraid of his friend.
He tried to prepare himself for what was to come, watching and waiting as AJ took the tethered ball and served it up around the pole and heading in his direction. A question followed it and the seventh year did his best to keep his focus on both fairly. No giving up this early in the game. "Its..." the young man hitting the ball back towards his companion successfully in the opposite direction.
"It's alright." Seemed a fair enough assessment at the moment. "How about with you?" The question served to return the favor as well as to try and test the waters with the younger lion. To see what was up, if anything. Perhaps there was a chance she DIDN'T know what had happened on the train. Benny knew Adi had been with AJ since but he wouldn't have said anything unless it was brought up....right?
Pouring paint on the ground and finding older students to help them were both BRILLIANT ideas, ideas he should have been able to jot down but now the boy was uable to (and feeling quite vulnerable as a result) which had his eyes widening even more.
This. Was. A. DISASTER.
If possible, his wides might have gotten EVEN bigger when the girl started swearing on some unicorn's left wing. "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!" Unicorns didn't HAVE wings! WHY WOULD SHE SWEAR ON SOMETHING THAT DIDN'T EXIST???--Unless she stole it. Oh man, she did didn't she? It was all a trick. Talk about the lava while she swiped it and....and...what? She was still standing here. He'd surely have noticed if she had it in her possessio--
His who did what now?? Blaise scrunched up his face, not sure he was following her all that well. "My...what....?" He hadn't SEEN any of his friends when he arrived and Merlin knew he had few enough. "What friend? Huh?" Consider him confused and ready to panic all over again.
What did he mean by what she meant? Her brow furrowed as she pat the ground trying to figure out what it was he was talking about. And why was he yelling at her when she was helping him?! Marietta was very confused and hurt because she thought they were friends now. "WHY DID YOU YELL AT ME?!" She hadn't done anything wrong!
Marietta wasn't even sure she wanted to be friends with him anymore. Nope. He yelled at her. She didn't wanna be friends with someone so mean.
... But she was going to help him because she was nice. Yup. "Your friend. That boy... who was here a little bit before me?" Marietta said, her brows still furrowed. She clapped her hands together to rid it of sand before brushing her hair out of her face. "He seemed nice."

Falling, Noelle tucked and giggled as she landed on her back. She sprawled out and looked at the sky, and Norah above.
Lifting her head slightly to look upwards so she could watch Noelle and Norah conquer those monkey bars Hady grinned slightly. Being small always made it a bit harder to reach the bars (just as Noelle figured out) so she choose to simply watch her friends and not true. It wasn't that she couldn't do them for she could and rather well but she didn't feel much like climber up the main bar to get to the ones that went across. There was noway anyone would be picking her up so she could reach. Sorry just not happening.
The excitement on the smaller girls face as she made it across was good enough for her. "You sure did! Nice job!" She replied laughing quietly as she watched the kids way of getting back down. Shaking her head with quiet laughter Hady walked back over. "Is the ground comfortable today?" It had to be or she still wouldn't be laying there right?

Candice was bored. The Common Room was too crowded. It seemed like everyone was hanging around the common room these days. So the fifth year decided to get some fresh air before the weather getting colder. Its still fall so the weather was not that cold yet so no need for a thick robes.
The Gryffindor made her ways towards The Playground. She heard about that place. More like she's eavesdropping someone conversation and they're talking about a playground on Hogwarts Grounds. She was dying to check it out since then and now here she was. The Playgrounds. It looked like that Muggle Playgrounds near her home in Denmark. Candice quickly claimed one of the swings before someone snagged it.

Abby should have been studying but it was too good an opportunity to play in the playground the last time she played on a swing was back before returning to school in her third year and saw a fellow fifth year on a swing and said "Hey swings are so much fun aren't they" Abby had never met the girl but she was a lion so both Angel and AJ must have known her

She was using her feet to make the swing go higher and HIGHER and HIGHER. It felt like flying as she went up higher and higher.
Candice was enjoying her swing when someone was approaching her and her swing. Her first thought was the girl was going to steal her swing and she's NOT going to allow that to happen! She just got here so the girl need to back off!
But apparently she's just being friendly? Carefully Candice slowing her swing down before answering the girl question, "Umm..Yeah. Its refreshing."

Hesitation. How odd. If everything was all right then there wouldn't be any hesitation. Or at least she though so. Of course Benny was hesitant by nature so maybe she was just over thinking it. HA! It wasn't often she would get accused of that. Still, he was her friend and she was getting a weird vibe. "Only all right?" she wondered out loud. The lion wasn't one for biting her tongue. It was safe to say that if she was thinking it, it would be taking a stroll right on out of her mouth.
By this time though, she couldn't dwell because the ball was coming back to her. Without missing a beat, she smacked it a little bit harder than the first time, and watched it sail back in the opposite direction.
"I've been great. I had a really fun summer, actually." She beamed just thinking about it. "I bet Angel kept you busy even if you guys didn't get to hang out." Angel was good about that. She bet her sister kept Benny on the phone for hours, and sent him loads of letters with perfume sprayed on it. AJ laughed. It was so Angel.
"I can't believe you and Adi are seventh years. It's really going to be weird around here without you guys." She figured her sister would have a harder time dealing with it than she would.

Hesitation.
Only all right?
Well the summer had been more than alright. "Well it depends on what period of time you were refering to. Summer was great." Had Adi bragged to her yet abotu what he had finally managed to accomplish? Or about teasing him with the modified canary cream. Oh gawd....had she seen all the pictures that had been taken?
And there it was...mention of Angel.
He hit at the ball as he tried to think of how to answer, the ball just barely making its way in the direction it was supposed to go. "Honestly...we um...didn't spend that much time on each other." That may or may not have been of his own doing too though there had been some communication between them over the summer. Just not as frequent as there had been over previous summers. Not to mention previous summers had usually included them spending SOME time together, especially around his birthday, but only Adi had made an appearance.
As for him and Adi being seventh years, some days it was hard for even himself to believed. "It certainly went fast..." he mused with a shrug. And he was pretty sure Angel didn't share her sister's sentiments about them leaving.

It depended on what period of time she was referring to? That was oddly specific. It was official... something was going on. What though? Surely the boys weren't in another fight. No, she would know about that. Adi wouldn't be able to hide that something was wrong with him even if he tried. AJ knew him too well, and he usually wore his heart on his sleeve. The fifteen year old was referring to only the summer, but since he brought it up...
"So I guess that means something else wasn't so great." It didn't take a Ravenclaw to figure that much out. "What's up?" He could talk to her. AJ considered him one of her best friends.
More stalling. This time the mention had been of Angel. Was all of this about Angel? It would make sense as to why this felt a little weird. Angel was her sister. The sister that she shared a face with. One eyebrow raised, and AJ completely forgot about the ball that she was supposed to be hitting or at the very least dodging. "Everything... okay?" Without realizing she was doing so, she squinted her eyes at him. Over protective slightly older sister here.
AJ smacked the ball back in his direction without even looking at it. The teary eyes Angel at the feast came rushing back to her. No. It had to be about something else. Her sister was sensitive. She could have been crying over not being able to find the right shoes to go with the right outfit.
Well seemed like Airey was making sure they could do the full 360 swing even though he said it would be impossible the normal way. Which Dante did not know if he believed since he had seen it when he was home. But it should be fun anyway. "So as long we reach a speed of 36 feet per second" Dante had no idea how to do that. Did you just swing really fast or need some help.
"So what, do you need like magical fireworks attached to the swing or something to reach that speed or can you just do that through effort?"
Dante was kind of kidding. But it would be awesome if it was possible without hurting yourself.
And what was this tinkering he was talking about?

Was he making sense? Was AJ having any clue what he was saying? It was certainly clear to him that Angel hadn't said anything otherwise the pieces of the picture would have likely been fitting together in his companion's head than it appeared to be. To Benny observing her at least. The older lion found himself absently nodding to her mention of something being not to great in the grand scheme of things since the last time the two of them had seen each other.
What's up?
What was up? Now how did he put this so that he didn't wind up being hexed to all eternity. AJ was Angel's sister and the two of them were close. Benny wasn't exactly sure his status as her friend and Adi's best friend was enough to protect him in the long run.
The question and the squinty eyes directed at him. Yeah...AJ was getting suspecious of something, nearly causing him to flinch at the attention. He didn't, but he did get hit by the tether ball causing it to veer off in the wrong direction. Point to the younger Gryffindor but it wasn't like the game matter all that much anymore. He looked away, a free hand absently rising to rub the back of his neck awkwardly. "Angel and I...um...we broke up on the train."

There...he had said it.
Was it just her or was time standing still? It seemed like Benny was stalling. He seemed to be pretty good at that lately. Bells were going off in her head right now. Then the tetherball actually smacked him which only proved once and for all that something was actually up. No way would a normal Benny get him by a ball that he knew was coming at him.
No words came out of her mouth which was pretty unusual for the brunette. She didn't even flinch when he got hit. Nothing but stares for Adi's best friend. His mouth was opening which meant answers. Or possibly more stalling, but it was better then just standing here in silence.
There was that 'um' again, and this time it was said right after he was talking about him and Angel. This wasn't good. Things were starting to make sense though. She knew he was acting awkward around her, and that was a thing of the past.
Then he spilled the beans.
Angel and Benny were no more. It took her a full minute to fully register what he was saying. This was a really awkward position to be in because Angel was her sister, and Benny was a very close friend. She stood there are stared at him without blinking. "I can't... I never..." WHY? AJ never would have guessed.
Wait a minute. ON THE TRAIN?
He said it happened on the train which would explain the teary eyed Angel. Which meant that Benny had been the one doing the breaking up. Her fists balled up at her sides, and she realized right then that Angel trumped Benny. Sisters before misters and all that other girl power crap. Nobody hurts her sisters. NOBODY. Forgetting for a moment about how much she cared for the boy standing in front of her, she lunged.
It happened before she could even stop herself. A very impulsive young girl she was. AJ was in full tackle mode. She aimed for his knees since he was a lot taller than she was, and put her whole 95 pound body into it. And to think the days of tackling boys were behind her. "HOW COULD YOU BREAK UP WITH HER ON THE TRAIN RIGHT BEFORE TERM?," she said through clenched teeth as she was trying to get the advantage over the situation. That was just the tip of the iceberg though. Benny was in for a interrogation. Although, he didn't have a wand shoved in his trachea so he was already fairing better than Ian.

That was just the tip of the iceberg though. Benny was in for a interrogation. Although, he didn't have a wand shoved in his trachea so he was already fairing better than Ian.
Benny waited with baited breath after he dropped the news, watching AJ's every move even as the girl seemed to freeze at first in reaction. And then she tried to speak and stumbled over her words which gave him a good idea of how it had affected her. The younger lion wasn't exactly one to get tongue-tied. The wheels appeared to be moving in her mind as the silence returned between them.
The next thing he knew, AJ was throwing herself at his legs and the overall surprise had taken him so off guard that he hadn't the chance to brace himself. So her movements became a full on tackle and he fell to the ground with her on top of him. Followed by a sternly worded question asked through her teeth at him that made Benny apprehensive and app0logetic all at the same time.
"I didn't want to....I wanted to do it privately over the summer...but us getting together never worked." It had been true. With her traveling and his internship, it had been impossible. And if anything it had cemented the thought that maybe they weren't cohesive in their future plans. "And I didn't feel right doing it in a letter." Breaking up was something that had to be done face to face. "And when we ran into each other on the train I couldn't just pretend everything was fine."

The Astronomy professor was really only half paying attention to what Mr Barrington was saying, no offense kid. He was busy recalculating and estimating EVERYTHING to see what else could be done to ensure they accomplished their mission. He was sure they could easily get Pebbles to go the full 360 around - although they were likely to get a few bumps and bruises from all the collisions - but the Gryffindor in him wanted the glory of that deed for himself.
And the Slytherin by association. Of course.
No offense, Pebbles. Beside, she had already had her hang time last term after being stuck in a web. IT WAS HIS TURN NOW!
"Fireworks?" he repeated, as it was quite literally the only words out of the young man's mouth that registered. "I know where we can find some fireworks."
Sure, Hot Air Charms and other conjuring spells could probably help as well...but WHO could say NO to fireworks?!
Not this man, that's for sure.

The Lion wondered what else he could learn, if there were more hidden locations around Hogwarts he could find through word of mouth. There had to be Countless locations.

Dante was just watching Airey keep on doing whatever he was doing to his swing until he finally spoke and Dante almost fell off his swing in surprise.
Well Well Well, Professor. Look at you keeping secrets.
"Wait, you know where we can get fireworks. Like here, not going to Hogsmeade or anything?"
Because you could go to the joke shop in Hogsmeade and ask if they have any. Dante had not been there in basically a whole year. So he had no idea if they had any in stock or sold them at all.
