Whether you are crossing over for your outdoor lessons or merely exploring the grounds, you walk upon this footpath. Enjoy the fresh air, butterflies, and the many vegetation growing as you walk on a spider web network of paths linking the Courtyard to almost every area of the grounds. You may even take a break to stop and smell the many roses as a bench or two appear magically at your leisure. Who knows, perhaps benches won't be the only thing you witness appearing here.
Adi was staring at the Hippogriff with just as much awe as Olathe. Sure he had seen them before but his eyes always got this faraway look when they saw the creatures. If you wanted perfection, griffs were the go- to creatures. Yup.
"Let's do this! Don't be afraid, okay? Stay close.'' Big brother Adi was here to protect! Ensuring that Olathe was safely close by him, the seventh year approached the Hippogriff. It seemed to have heard them because it tossed that great, big head to look at them with flashing orange eyes. "Keep a firm eye contact with it and try not to blink. Follow my lead.'' You know, just in case the creature decided to focus more on her than him. Adi too was trying to maintain as much eye contact as he could as they approached.
He stopped a goodish distance, bowed as he still maintained eye contact and waiting for Olathe to do the same.
Olathe paused when the Creature turned towards them. She didn't take her eyes off of the Hippogriff. She followed carefully about half a step behind Adi until he came to a stop. [b] Whattda we do now?" She whispered. She had never been this close to anything so intimidating..so.. so AMAZING.

"Well..." she said, starting to speak in broken sentences due to the huffing and puffing. "What other... sports do you... enjoy doing?" she asked. Perhaps they could... well, she didn't really know what else there was. She was more of a yoga, pilates, tai-chi lover. The jogging was always something she enjoyed, but of course there were other options.

The older Hufflepuff straightened up to put an arm around Olathe. "He bowed so that means we're safe to approach.'' EEEEP! Excited Hufflepuff seventh year here even though he had to contain it. He guided his newest little sister ahead of him. "He won't hurt you.'' Adi reached up a hand to pat the griff's beak. "Go on,'' he encouraged, grinning at his friend.

But he could be a good actor. And he HAD to go along with his own lie. Had to. Whether the other boy believed him or not.
So, Phillip continued smiling along, even trying to nod convincingly. "I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you." SNORT. EHEHEHEHEHE! What? He'd ALWAYS wanted to say that, okay? "What I MEAN is, I can't go revealing ALL of my secrets," he said, flopping down next to the boy.
Uh. Uh oh. There went his plan. The first year stared at the ink on the piece of parchment and then at the pen in his hand. Hadn't it DRIED? He had trusted it to DRY before the boy could notice. MERLIN. Betrayed by his own pranking tool! "Yes, clean. People can be so rude around this place, you know."
"Nice to meet you, Hugo." Moustache Hugo had a nice ring to it, didn't it? "Yeah! First EVER year here. How did you know?"

Jogging the pathways, as she often did, brought fresh perspective as only it could, and she hummed happily to herself as she went on her way. That was until it was time to slow down for a breather. When she did this, she noticed an unfamiliar face...and has Reagans will do, she had to befriend it.
"Hey."...She was marginally breathless.

Rea cracked a warm smile towards the girl. Or, well, her regular smile...which was always warm. She was just a warm individual, even if she'd been running and her hair was sticking up oddly out of her hair tie and her face slick with sweat.

"I'm glad to hear it." She said as she put her hand into the girl's extended one. "I'm Syah, Syah Kennedy." She said with a nod as she tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. "It's nice to meet you Reagan."

Cosgrach was panting as well, but he certainly wasn't dying. Actually, this felt nice. He knew he would feel awful in the end, but right now, he felt alive. Thank you, Beatrice. He made a mental note to thank the woman later.
"Quidditch," he breathed, that was all that he did. Quidditch. "Hiking... when I... was young." But obviously, they didn't have any hiking tracks here and anyway, he wouldn't survive that.

Peeking around at their surroundings, Rea shifted from one foot to the next; trying to keep her body temperature up and her muscles working; a runner's trick. The Ravenclaw definitely didn't want to start cramping up. She wasn't finished with her exercise sesh yet.
"That's a very pretty name!...and likewise. I enjoy getting to know people." Any and all people, really. It didn't matter who you were or what house you belonged to. She was a walking ship name.
"I enjoy meeting new people as well, it's my first year her, I transferred so I don't know anyone." She said as she poked her foot around the pathway.. gently moving a rock with her shoe as they talked.
Syah breathed a sigh of relief, "I would love to walk with you, walking I can do.. Running, not so much."

Wait.. Olathe could do that it was easy enough anyways. after a few moments the hippogriff reacted with a low bow to them both. approach... was he sure Olathe wasn't. but none the less they moved closer and now Adi was touching it.
" Wow..." She whispered as she carefully reached up to touch the creature. Your beautiful. She said to the hippogriff as she gently petted it.

Adi was SUPER DUPER pleased! Just look at Olathe not being afraid or anything. He was proud. Yep, pleased and proud! "Yes, he is. Someday I'm going to have many like him.'' The image of a wide open field with tons of Hippogriffs roaming about entered his mind yet again. He held onto that image for years now, you know, and he was so determined to make it a reality.
"Would you want to sit on his back?'' Maybe it was too soon to ask but Olathe just had to enjoy being around a Griff to the max! Of course he wasn't going to let any harm come to her... he would be right around here all the time.
" Sit on him? She asked. " I might accidentally pull his feathers." She admitted and the last thing she wanted was to agitate the creature. But at the same time she was curious what it would be like. Do you think he would mind?" she asked as her curiosity got the better of her.

The had all had that fear at least once, right? Accidentally pulling on the magnificent beasts feathers, he meant. Adi knew he always had that feeling because he adored them so much. "You won't,'' he told Olathe confidently. "Nope, I'm sure he won't.'' The older Hufflepuff turned his attention back to the griff, giving it another pat on the beak. "Right?''
Now back to Olathe? "If you really want to give it a shot, I could life you up.'' He was grinning. Wasn't this exciting? He was actually getting someone else to experience the wonderment of Hippogriffs!

Olathe gently stroked his feathers." i think I will call him Vasiliy, Because it means regal. She explained to both Adi and the Hippogriff the creature didn't seem to object to the name. " I think I'm ready now." Olathe said to Adi. " But no flying okay Vasiliy?"

Bentley was laid out flat on his belly on the pathway. He had been trailing an extremely green lizard for a long while snapping pictures for his collections. He still wasn't sure that he had the perfect shot yet however, so he remained as still as he possibly could while snapping away.
His luck came, when a brazen butterfly landed on the lizard's back. Was it not scared for it's life?

The baby badger was all set to hop onto the griff! "Okay, here goes!'' The seventh year gently grasped her by her waist then hoisted her up. "You can choose to sit how you want but it's more comfy when your feet dangle off either side.'' Mhmmm.
Olathe gasped not quite prepared when Adi gave her a boost on to the back of Vasiliy the hippogriff. As she got comfortable on the creatures back she giggled in delight. this was turning into the best day ever and she Adi and Of course Vasiliy to thank for it. She gently patted his feathers as he allowed her to sit on his back. You know Adi, I think He's done this before." she stated when she noticed hos calm the Hippogriff seemed to be considering he was supposed to be a wild dangerous creature and she was sitting on his back.

They strolled around the clearing a little bit more before Olathe found herself curious what Adi wanted to do. It had been his love of Hippogriff that lead to her introduction to Vasiliy after all. Surely he didn't want to just lead her around all day that couldn't be to much fun. She petted Vasiliy's neck feathers and spoke gently to the hippogriff. " You know Vasiliy Adi's Loves Hippogriff very much, and I think it would make his day if he got a ride too. What do you think Big guy?" She asked soothingly.
