Directly below the Great Hall is the Hogwarts kitchen, complete with five tables identical to and directly below those of the Great Hall. Numerous house elves have returned and are busily working, always working, on the castle's next meal. They're surely willing to serve you a snack though, if you ask politely enough.
OOC: Please do not RP for the House Elves! We have a lovely group of actual elves who would love to RP with you if you will please be patient.

Owen took his time because he knew that his friend still had a long way to go before she could get to the Kitchen. He even had a small talk with Sushi, his goldfish, telling her about how cool Hogwarts was for having a music room and the fun he had with his new friend. That was why he was SHOCKED to find his friend, and her current state, in the Kitchen before him. He expected he would be there first.
"Whoa! What happened to you?" Didn't they agree to meet here after they've changed shirts? Oh, she had on a new shirt. So why.........

Huffing and puffing, Noelles eyes looked around for her new friend. Okay... She couldn't find him. She had beat him? How was that possible??
Hearing a voice beside her, she practically jumped. "Owen!! I beat you here!" she exclaimed as she continued to catch her breath. She beamed at him. "I... Went and changed, but.... Hurried because I thought... I didn't want to keep you waiting and... " HUFF. Catching her breath. "So many staiiiiiirs." because there were.
She was dying. with a small laugh, she looked at him. She took a deep breath. Okay good. She wasn't dying. "i need drink!.... And a piggy back ride." Que the big puppy dog eyes and pouty lip. Please Owen, please??

She beat him, all right. But she didn't have to. Owen scratched his head. "You're silly, you know? You didn't have to hurry back. I still would have waited. Besides, I hang out a lot around here." The young badger shook his head and just grinned.
She needed a drink. Okay, he can get that for her. And a piggy back ride? Why would she need a piggy back ride? "I think...you should sit down and catch your breath. I'll just get a drink for you. Water? Or something else?" Because if he gave her a piggyback ride and she was all sweaty, then his back would get wet too. Kind of defeats the purpose of him changing shirts. He also wanted to get snacks for himself so he needed both his hands.
Zeke was hungry and in a mood, and he wanted something... chocolatey. So the only logical thing to do was to grant himself access to the kitchens and ask one of the house elves for chocolate cake. Super logical. And that's exactly what he did.
After having tickled the pear, Zeke entered the kitchen and started snooping around for whatever cake he could find. Left overs had never bothered him, and if he didn't have to wait around for one to be cooked, he'd be even happier. Or y'know.... a fresh one might be nice too. Whatever worked.
Now... WHERE would these nifty house elves keep the cake stuffs? He somehow STILL hadn't figured that out. He never was good in the kitchen.
Prancing towards the kitchens, Timmy decided to pig out since she wasn't dancing anymore. So why not eat all the foods she couldn't before? Tickling the pear, the blonde walked inside and looked around. Hm, what to eat first? The girl once heard that eating dessert first was sometimes a good thing. So maybe she'll start off with that. But which dessert to do so? There was either peaches and cream, or cake with ice cream. Both of them she'd live on for the rest of her life.
She finally decided on cake and ice cream.
Taking a bowl out from the bottom cupboards, Timmy spotted a certain someone and grinned. "Hey, friend," she said, while poking his butt to get Zeke's attention fast. "HEY, FRIEND!"

Well Owen just sucked the fun out of that. Noelle shrugged, her breathing going back to normal. "[b]Water is fine. Thank you.[b]" She gave him a smile because, really that was nice of him.
Staying where she was, Noelle turned herself towards the table. Drumming her fingers on the table, she waited for him to get back. She had already started cooling off. She looked down at her clothes and smoothed them out the best she could. She could t wait till she learned more spells. Then she could easily take the sweat stains out.
Grabbing the wrist of her jacket? She wiped her face. Papa always told her, she would never have all her hairs in one spot. Due to her, running, jumping, and falling. Her hair was constantly a mess. She reached up to access the damage. It didn't feel too bad. She could live with it.

Or so he thought, until he had a POKE on his BUTT. Turning, and grinning, Zeke returned Timmy's poke, though he did it gently to her ribs, not her butt, he had manners. "HEY, FRIEND!" he added for good measure. "How're you doing?" he asked, staring at the bowl in her hand for a moment.
She came to eat? Did she wanna eat with him? Did she wanna GET him food?

He could tell her eventually when they really got to know each other. He chuckled at her response and thought it was clever. "Yeah true well a dude's gotta eat ya know? My mom even said a girl appreciates a man who can cook, fix a tire and do the laundry." He smiled when she settled on his nickname. "You still cool with my nickname for you?" he asked to be sure.
When she got the plates, he flipped three pancakes and put chocolate chips on them. He let them melt into the mix a little bit. "Do you want chocolate chips in your or you like them plain?" he asked. He was already making three chocolate chips one for himself but he would give them to her if she asked. "Now tell me about yourself Princess." He wanted to know a little bit about her.
Kate breathed a small sigh of relief. She had kind of regretting asking about Colt's mom, just in case something terrible had happened, but the question didn't seem to bother him too much. Good, Kate. You didn't mess that one up. "So...who kept you at home while both your parents were away?" she asked, and again she reminded herself that she might be asking sort of personal questions. "Sorry if I'm asking too much. You don't have to answer it. I'm just trying to get to know you better is all."
Kate nodded when he said a girl appreciates a guy who can cook and do laundry. "Hmm. I have to admit that sounds like a promising picture," she said with a laugh. She raised her eyebrows in a questioning way. "Nickname? Well, that depends on which nickname of mine you mean." Because he'd given her about three or four since they'd met. "I definitely want chocolate chips," she said. "That's the part I'm excited about the most." It sounded soooo good!
So he wanted a little about her... "Okay. Well, I was born in Great Britain, but we moved to Oslo, Norway when I was really young, because my parents got jobs here. We only just moved back about three and a half years ago," she said.

Colt heard Kate's question and he got confused for a minute. Maybe it is the way she asked it. She probably meant to ask who looked after him while both of his parents were away. "Oh well I had a neighbor next door and she would check on me time and time. Usually I was by myself and I would be cooking and playing video games and doing my own homework. You know the usual." he shrugged. He didn't have any brothers and sisters, he mostly did things on his own. "Luckily I had my neighbor's daughter to socialize with, we were cool but she grew up to be a weirdo.." he looked down at his pancakes and began to flip some more. "No Kate don't apologize, it is good you wanna get to know me more. I don't mind it." He told her honestly. She should never apologize for what she wants.
Ohoo thats a promising picture of him being able to cook and clean. She already gave him nicknames already? Ah well he wasn't gonna comment on it but he was gonna be keen on listening now. So she was a chocolate chip lover? He made a mental note and grabbed some and put it into the batch. Now he was hearing about Kate and he thought it was cool she was born in Europe well Norway to be exact. "That sounds way cooler than mine. I was born in New York and sometimes I visit. Are you close with your family? Got any siblings?" He asked being more curious.
He was also keeping an eye on her chocolate chip pancakes too. He didn't want them burned.
He was still poking his head around in things, but in each dish and pot he looked into, there was no cake. WHERE, did the elves keep it? He was about to ask when he heard a voice from somewhere behind him. Hey friend?

Timmy giggled at the poke and poked his ribs back gently. She shrugged a bit at his question, but smiled. "I've had better days and all. Just been trying to find something good to do," She admitted, but didn't everyone already know that? The poor girl had been trying to find a new hobby but it wasn't going well. She was just wandering around now. "How about you? Liking the term so far?"
Looking through the cupboards again, Timmy got spoons and ingredients she needed for a cake. "Do you wanna help me make a cake?" she asked.
Please say yes.

He got a smile. Yay. Cue to now go and get a glass of water for her friend. "I'll be right back," he said and wandered off. Because he was often at the Kitchens, the young badger knew just where to look for what he needed. He got a glass of cold water for Noelle and orange juice for himself. He also had in hand a plate of muffins. Hopefully she liked those too.
Then he was back. He placed everything gently on the table before taking a muffin, peeling off the paper and taking a bite. MHHHMMM. "This is so good, Noelle. You should try it." The house elves were so amazing, weren't they?

SPOILER!!: Adi! <3
AHAHAHA! "You've become so wise,'' he teased back. "Who would have thought?'' Riiiight. AJ had always been brilliant and will always be. Her out of the box thinking was one of her traits that attracted him to her.
"Whatever my baby wants.'' Still he made to move to release her hand. He was being super clingy, wasn't he? Luckily AJ took that into control? "Sure. I would rather have our food made than spend my time holding your hand, anyway.'' Adi smiled when she kissed his hand, feeling the warmth of her lips. He in turn tickled her side before she went off.
By the time she got back, the seventh year had dumped all the necessary ingredients into a bowl for the crust and was happily kneading it all together. "Hey! Save some cheese for me too!'' He snagged some for himself. "Now stand back and watch the master at work,'' he told his girlfriend with a wink. Time for pizza dough tossing!
Up, up, up went the dough with Adi catching it expertly each time. Yep, his reflexes were that good.
Become? "I'm pretty sure that I have always been wise. Maybe you are just now seeing the light." It made sense. Not to mention that AJ was very fond of the house elves for more than just the reasoning of getting food from them. She really wouldn't want to upset them. Then again, it had been too long so maybe she needed to have a little talk with Toddles. Yes, that sounded like a good idea.
A girl could get used to that. It was safe to say that she was pretty used to getting what she wanted one way or the other. Not saying that she depended on others, more so that she made her own way. "Ditto. Eating food is way better than being all mushy," AJ said with a playful smirk.
All of the cheese wouldn't be inhaled by her, but she would be putting a dent into it. "No way you are going to get to have all of the fun." And the likely hood of her just standing off to the side was slim to none. AJ reached over and began to knead the dough with him... or play with it because it didn't really look like she knew what she was doing.

Was she trying to start a poking war? Grinning, Zeke poked Timmy back JUST ONCE MORE, because he wasn't about to let her have the last poke, but then was distracted by her response.
Better days? Yeah, he knew what that was like. "Well you found me," he mused with a smirk. He was good company, really, he was. "I need to find a new thing too, gave up gobstones but now I don't know what to do with the time." When he decided to stop playing, he had in mind ways to spend the time, it was a shame it didn't appear to be an option anymore. As for term so far? Zeke shrugged lazily, "It's alright." It could have been better, but he supposed it could have been worse. No point crying about it.
It was amazing though, how she was just... doing things. Of all the times he'd come down here, he'd asked for food or helped himself to whatever was already available. Never had he actually bothered making anything.
"Sure, but I don't know how useful I'll be." Legit. He was willing, but, likely useless. THEN AGAIN, cooking was supposed to be similar to potions right? Measurements of ingredients and following instructions. He could do that. Maybe. "I'm experienced with quality control though," he assured Timmy as he rolled up his sleeves. He'd sampled many a cakes in his lifetime, so he knew what good tasted like.

Noelle turned in circles on the bench she was in until Owen got back. Grinning she took the water from him and stopped spinning. She sat on the bench and scooted over so he could sit too. Owen put the muffins down but Noelle was downing the water. Oh... so refreshing!
"Thanks O-Bear." She said giving him another smile. She eyed the muffins as he took a big bite. She giggled because he had chocolate on his teeth.
Peering at the muffins again, she picked on up and examined it. What were those white pieces? Looking at Owen devouring his muff, she unwrapped it. "Whats the white stuff?" She asked and tilted her head. She was picky about her food but she LOVED food. That made sense right?

He was sure she didn't really liked his head full of white, powdery stuff
Hmm. He did have a point there. AJ shook her head in agreement. "I CAN be pretty stubborn, but only when I want to be." Which further proved just how stubborn she could really be. Who picks and choose when to be stubborn? Stubborn people of course. So, yeah. She had made her point... or Adi's rather. SNORT. "Sassy people are the worse. Especially the ones who can't keep their mouth's shut." AJ Valentine.
"It's soooo good," she cooed as she swallowed the last bit of spicy, cheesy goodness. She sucked her teeth just to make sure that she didn't miss any. What a tragedy that would be. Then Adi requested her help. "What do you think I've been doing?" An added wink happened just to show that she was still kidding. Not that Adi didn't know that. Alongside Adi, AJ helped shape the pizza just so.
"Your hair was so last year." As if to prove this point, she flicked a little piece of dough in his direction dangerously close to his hair---again. It was a struggle to keep her hands from glinding through his hair. It really was something that she loved to do. It felt so nice.
Tim pretended to clean her ears. He gave up on gobstones? But she was one to talk.
"I gave up on dancing so now I need to find something else I might be good at," Again, she was soooo doing this baked good black market thing. "How about you and I run a baked good black market? We need something interesting to do," And maybe that was interesting enough for them, at their age at least. Though, there were other things too but not the time. Yeah, this term was pretty boring so far. Nothing interesting happened yet. Something usually popped up a bit before Christmas and all that.
Timmy nodded. "Well, you can be my taste tester. This is going to be my first cake into my baked good black market," She gave him a determined nod. Maybe that was convincing enough that she was going to do this? Because knowing Timmy, she definitely wasn't even going to try.

She had made him feel right at home with all the cookies and milk she gave him. Plus she treated him as though he belonged in the family already. "So true. I get tired of sassy persons sometimes. They're a piece of work.''
Adi eyed AJ. "How is it that pepper has no effect on you?'' Not that he was complaining. AJ's mysterious pepper immunity would come in useful in the future food because Adi could cook loads of Indian food and everyone knew how spicy those usually were. Swallowing the cheese, the Puff considered the square dough. "Done and done!'' Haha. Who's to say they couldn't have square pizza? "Come on, help me get it a little more square.'' And thick. Mhmmm.

Adi just smirked. AJ was just confirming what he said. And yes, she was even more stubborn than he was. You would have thought that two stubborn persons would have a disastrous relation as a couple right? WRONG! Not these two. They always managed to work things out. #TeamWork Adi now found himself blinking at AJ. Did she just realise what she said? "Sounds like a certain Aubrey Janel Valentine. Did you know she's sassy AND talkative? Gosh, I pity her boyfriend.'' Hehe.
Shaking his head at the Lion, Adi replied, ''Uhh, using the dough as a punching bag?'' Soon the dough had the square shape though. "Looks good. Now for the sauce.'' Adi reached for the jar to ladle a healthy amount on the dough. "Think we need more, baby?'' AJ would be eating it also, after all.

INCOMING!
Adi dodged the dough but only JUST. Man, that was close! Yep, he did know AJ had tossed the dough close but on purpose so it wouldn't get to his hair. "Maybe I should just cut it off. How do you think a bald Adi would look?'' He smirked, expecting a sassy answer. But IF he ever cut his hair too low, AJ could kiss having her hands so much among the strands. Haha.
Angel looked at Adelynn and heard what she said. "Oh cool, one of my sisters is in Ravenclaw, the other is in Gryffindor like myself." Angel giggled. "I'm one of triplets." Angel thought it was awesome being a triplet and she was totally enjoying being at school with her sisters. She wondered why her parents weren't magical. She was still trying to figure out how that whole situation worked.
Angel suddenly heard Adelynn asking her what brought her down to the kitchen. "I'm thinking of going on a binge." Angel was still having a rough day and she thought some ice-cream might help her. "Though I need to watch what I eat." Angel had no idea why she was saying all this to someone who she had just met.
Adelynn gasped at Angels mention of being one of triplets. "Wow! That must be fun." She said with a smile. Well, fun and confusing if they're identical. "Are you all identical, two of you identical and the others fraternal, or are you all fraternal?" Not wanting to sound too intrusive she added: "Just curious. I find that type of stuff fascinating."
Adelynns eyes widened a bit at the mention of a binge. This was always forbidden at her house since her parents were health freaks, however she did have a few ice cream binges after her relationship in her second year ended badly. "Why a binge?" she asked, concerned. Although she was accustomed to a healthy eating lifestyle, her stomach grumbled with temptation as she looked at all the different foods there were to offer...

Say what? Actually, she knew that she was describing herself. AJ also that she was the whole package. Who didn't want to date a fun girl that you could joke, laugh and be best friends with? It didn't get much better than that if you asked her. The lion sucked in air and feigned a look of utter surprise on her face. "Me?" Little ol' innocent her? "That chick sounds awesome." Still keeping up with the joking manner, she poked him on his shoulder. "Sounds more like he is a lucky, lucky dude."
A punching bag? AJ could get down with that. Most likely she would be really good at it. Well, she knew she would be good at it. "Sounds like as good of a plan as any." Finally, the pizza was all nice and square. She couldn't wait to have this bad boy cooked. [B]"A little more."[/B/ Nothing like biting into a slice of pizza and having the sauce run down your mouth.
The brunette pretended to size him up, as if she was trying to picture a bald Adi. She really couldn't picture how he would look. Thank goodness for potions. Of course she would love Adi no matter what. It wasn't just his looks that she found attractive and anybody that was just in a relationship for looks was in for a rude awakening. "Maybe you should. It must be such a hassle keeping it looking good all the time." Seriously, his hair looked better than most girls, and definitely better than hers. "You can always wear a hat..." How did he like that cheek?

"You,'' Adi confirmed good naturedly and keeping a straight face. But of course he couldn't. He started laughing. "That chick sounds full of herself.'' Nope, he didn't see it as that. He was it more of her being confident in herself. ''That chick is the lucky one. She's got someone who puts up with her.'' Laughing again, he pecked her cheek just because he wanted to.
More sauce! Adi happily obliged and joined AJ in adding more of the delicious thing. He could see them making a mess of the pizza with the sauce when they were eating. Hehe. "Reckon we've got enough,'' he told her after a while. He pulled the toppings closer to them then started adding shredded chicken. Lots and lots of that.

Adi himself was trying to picture himself bald. NOOOOOO, he didn't like the image. He MUST keep his awesome hair! Pfffft, AJ. As if! But he played along. "I think I will, you know. The first time I come to visit you after I graduate, I'll be bald. Just going to keep this awesomeness for my final year. And I'll be wearing no hat.'' Honestly, it was never a hassle to keep his hair looking that good. Adi, (forever the kid at heart) used those hair treatment stuff that came in bottles with Superheroes printed on them. Superheroes roocked!

He responded to the smile with a wide grin of his. GRIIIIIIIIN. Why...was she giggling? Hmm? More grinninggggg.
White stuff? What white stuff? Oooh. Taking a healthy sip from his glass of juice, Owen shrugged. "Peanuts...mallows...They're yummy, I promise." So she should try them now! "Do you know how to cook, Noelle?" Since they were dance!buddies, if she knew how then they can be kitchen!buddies too.

Noelle should probably tell him that he had chocolate on his teeth. But now he was grinning and this was hilarious. Noelle covered her mouth with her free hand to stop an eruption of giggles. Taking a moment to contain herself, she grabbed a napkin and handed it to him. His poopy chocolate stained teeth needed wiping.
Marshmallows and nuts? Noelle shrugged and carefully but into it. She crunched a few bites bites before swallowing.... And beamed, "This is delicious!!" Noelle exclaimed and took another BIG bite.
Owen asked her if she could cook but her mouth was so full of ooey gooey yumminess that she just had to nod. She wasn't the best cook but her mum had should her a few things in the kitchen.

Kate tried not to look at Colt in a sad sort of way, but she couldn't help it. He had only been looked after by a neighbor? She was suddenly really grateful for her mom and dad, who had always been with her as far back as she could remember. "Wow. You must be pretty smart to have figured out all that stuff by yourself," she said. Kate wondered if she would have been able to survive all by herself and only a neighbor to help.
She laughed when Colt said his neighbor's daughter grew up to be a weirdo. It was a nice change of topic. "What do you mean? What makes her so weird?" she asked. The topic changed to where he grew up then, and she smiled. "No, your's sounds way cooler! You were raised in America. I've never been there!" New York sounded exciting and fun and interesting, and...she would love to go there some day! She nodded. "I'm really close to my family. It's my mom, my dad, and my little brother, Ryland. He's two. He was born just before I started Hogwarts."
She eyed the cooking process, already thinking about how the chocolate chip pancakes would taste. "I can't wait to taste your cooking!" she said. Only time would tell if he was truly a chef or not. She had faith in him, though. Anybody who basically raised themselves had to be good at cooking!
